"You are cordially invited to the wedding of Mick Campbell and Amber Millington, September 3rd at 11 am at The Hawthorne Estate"
"Neens that's like the twentieth time you've read that today" huffed Amber, playfully tossing a spare scrunchy at her best friend.
"Can you blame me? I am just so happy for you two!"
"I know" smiled the blonde. "It's certainly been a long time coming, but we're really heading down the aisle in 2 hours".
"Knock - Knock" came a familiar voice as the door to Amber's dressing room creaked open to reveal Nina's partner.
"Fabian! What's wrong" worried Amber. Fabian was supposed to be keeping her future husband busy as part of his best man's duties.
"Nothing's wrong, Amby. Mick just sent me to give you this" assured the young man passing over a sealed envelope. "Clearly your threats about him coming to see you when you are in your dress before the wedding were taken to heart".
"Fabes, as an ex-sibuna you should know more than anyone the power of traditions and superstitions" laughed Amber.
Opening the envelope she found a couple sheets of folded paper bearing Mick's familiar scrawl.
"My darling Amber, you are the love of my life, the only one I want to know. Whenever I am struggling or dealing with strife, to you is the only place I want to go. I am so deeply in love with you that I know I will be for the rest of this life and into the great beyond. Your charming whit, fiery love, and the loyalty to all your friends amazes me every day.
From the first moment I laid eyes on you at six years old, I knew that we would be best friends for all of time. I have carried my love for you with me in my heart all my life. Every time that I see you I see adventure. I see enough love to last a lifetime. I see my greatest friend.
I can not wait to be your husband, to be able to stand by you and support you all the days of your life. "
Her fiance always knew what to say, thought Amber, trying to push back tears since the absolute last thing she needed was to look puffy in her wedding day photos.
"Thank you, Fabes!" sniffed Amber thankfully.
"Of course, Amby. Your Glam Squad should be here any minute, I'll leave you to get ready and see you in a couple hours" smiled the boy as he ducked out of the room.
True to Fabian's word, Amber's Glam Squad arrived a couple minutes later and she was soon swept up in a swirl of activity as her trusted team brought her fairytale dreams to life.

"Deep breaths Ambs, you've got this" whispered Nina as she buttoned up the back of Amber's wedding dress.
"Are you sure?" whispered Amber, not truly doubting her choice to finally marry Mick, but feeling exceedingly nervous all the same.
"Of course, after all these years you two have always found your way back to each other".
"Thanks Neens," replied Amber, giving her sister in all but blood's hand a tight squeeze.
"Ten minutes to the ceremony, are you almost ready Amber?" called Patricia poking her head in the door.
Looking at herself in the mirror, Amber lifted her skirt to see her mother's blue heels. Smiling at the thought of having her mother with her on her special day, Amber spun around with confidence proclaiming: "Definitely Trix! Let's go get me married!"

Amber stood with the rest of her wedding party as she waited for the music to start. Patricia and Eddie's twins were up at the front of the group playing the roles of flower girl and ring bearer. Amber's bridesmaids were Patricia and her college roommate Aurelia. Mick had chosen his cousin Holden and teammate Felix to stand by his side in the ceremony. Their choice of Fabian and Nina as Best Man and Maid of Honor had surprised absolutely no one who knew the couple. The pair had excitedly accepted and took their duties very seriously, as proven by how Nina was currently ushering the wedding party into their places.
With everyone in place Nina shot Talia, Amber's wedding planner a thumbs up, and she cued the band to play. As the wedding march played, Amber watched the first and tiniest members of her wedding party descend the steps into the venue's garden space where the wedding was set to take place. Nina placed a final kiss to Amber's cheek in good luck as she headed down the aisle with Fabian. The music then changed and Amber knew it was now her turn to head down the white carpeted stairs towards her future.

Stepping into the bright sunlight, Amber floated down the aisle towards the altar, her eyes locked on the gleaming golden head of the man she loved. She was so overwhelmed by her joy, excitement, and love that she felt for the hundredth time that day that she would cry happy tears. Coming to a stop at the altar before their officiant Amber turned to face her fiance.
"You look beautiful" Mick whispered quietly.
Blushing, Amber whispered back a quiet "thanks", before the pair turned their attention to the reverand as he began the ceremony.

The couple had chosen to have a couple poems and readings done by their friends and family along with a testimony of their love from their officiant. Those parts of the ceremony, despite being something Amber had agonized over for weeks, blew by in the blink of an eye. Before she knew it their officiant, Reverend Charles, was asking for the pair to exchange their vows.
"Now, I know that the couple have written their own vows to be witnessed by all in attendance here today. Michael, you may begin".
"Thank you Reverend Charles". Taking Amber's hands in his, Mick looked deep in her eyes as he recited. "Amber, without you I am nothing—with you I am more than myself. I promise to be the man that I see now in your eyes—today, tomorrow, and for always. I vow to listen, for as long as it takes for you to feel heard. I vow to watch in awe as you kick ass and take names. And I vow to be your unrelenting cheer squad on the days when everything feels too much. I see these vows not as promises but as privileges: I get to laugh with you and cry with you; care for you and share with you. I get to run with you and walk with you; build with you and live with you. So I Mick, take thee Amber, to be my wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward. For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health; to have and to cherish as long as we both shall live".
Amber couldn't hold back her happy tears any more, and they began to silently escape down her cheeks as she listened to the wonderful man she had the privilege of spending her life with expressing his love and respect for her.
"Beautifully stated. Amber, you may now give your vows".
Smiling happily, Amber began her prepared speech. "Mick, I used to think that the happiest day of my life was when you proposed to me on the Anubis House lawn where we first met twenty years ago… today definitely tops that. You know me better than anyone else in this world and somehow still you manage to love me. You are my best friend and one true love. There is still a part of me today that cannot believe that I'm the one who gets to marry you! On this day, I give you my heart, my promise, that I will walk with you, hand in hand, wherever our journey leads us, living, learning, loving, together, forever. So I Amber, take thee Mick, to be my husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward. For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health; to have and to cherish as long as we both shall live".
"Wonderful! Now, do you, Michael Scott Cambell, take Amber Lucille Millington to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
"I Do" swore Mick, grinning at Amber.
"And do you, Amber Lucille Millington, take Michael Scott Campbell to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
"I Do" grinned Amber, barely stopping herself from bouncing in place from joy.
"Then by the power vested in me by the state of New York, I pronounce you Mr. and Mrs. Campbell… You may kiss the bride"
Leaning in, Amber happily kissed her new husband to the wild cheers of their friends and family.

The hour after the ceremony wrapped up, Amber and Mick signed the paperwork to make their new marriage official and were shuffled into various fun poses with their wedding party for pictures.
When Stella announced she had all the shots they wanted outside, the wedding party headed inside to join the rest of the wedding guests. Mick and Amber stood side by side tightly holding hands as they waited in the hallway for their introduction. Amber felt like her face would crack if she grinned any wider, yet she couldn't bring herself to stop.
"I can't believe we are finally here. I'm really Mrs. Amber Campbell!" she squealed quietly.
"I truly am the happiest man on earth" whispered back Mick, grinning just as widely as her.
"Ladies and Gentleman… Mr. and Mrs. Campbell!" called their DJ Jett.
"That's our que!" announced Mick. Holding out his arm he asked, "You ready?"
"So ready!" cheered Amber, accepting his arm and heading in to celebrate with their friends.

The newly married couple partied long into the night with their friends and family. The reception was full of fun, love and hilarious hijinks courtesy of the adorable Cassidy and Tucker Williamson-Miller. Their photographer, Stella, did a fabulous job catching amazing shots of the party, including an adorable picture of the new husband and wife cutting their cake. When the final song of the night began to play, Amber happily laid her head on Mick's chest as they swayed to Perfect by Ed Sheeran, taking in the reception's final moments.
"Look at that Amby, we made it… you got your fairytale ending" murmured Mick.
Sleepily, Amber raised her head to lock eyes with Mick "That's not what it is"
Quirking his eyebrow he asked, "What is it then?".
"This is just the begining of our story, because everyday with you is a fairytale" replied Amber.
As the couple exited the venue to a sparkler send-off and the cheers of their loved ones; Amber knew one thing for certain, she wouldn't change the past twenty years anything. All these years later, she was married to her best friend and they would be facing their future in the best way… together!
