"Tikki? What time is it?" Marinette didn't lift her head from the desk her head was resting on. She hoped it would be midnight soon.

Tap, tap. Cat Noir was here. She smiled to herself. They were going to set out cookies and milk, in the hope of seeing Santa Claus.

Mari shivered a little as she let Cat in, there was a brisk wind blowing outside. "Brr! Aren't you cold, Kitty?" Cat grinned. "Well, if you give me a hug, Princess, I'll be more in a moment." "Your so cold, Cat." But she gave him a hug anyway.

"So, did you leave any cookies for me?" Cat whispered as they tiptoed downstairs. Almost midnight. "I'm a hungry, Kitty." "Cat, shh! We have to hide and stay quiet," Marinette put a finger to her lips. Santa could be arriving at any moment."

Cat peeked through the railing, staring at the plate of cookies. "Wow, Princess! Those cookies look fantastic!"

Marinette smiled and blushed, she loved that Cat liked her cooking and baking. And these cookies were something special.

She had spent quite a bit of time downstairs in her parents bakery, icing Cat Noir and Ladybug cookies.

But it wasn't the standard logos, the two superheroes used, no this was something more exquisite. Mari had captured the look of a black cat, happy as could be with his tail proudly waving in the air.

As for her Ladybug cookies, she had made them like the real thing. Attena, black spots, a wide smile.

"I want a cookie, Mari." Oh, this Cat! She couldn't tell if he was teasing, or actually really hungry. "Santa will be here soon. Then you can get your cookie," she assured him. "Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse." Cat looked at Marinette playfully. He knew she was the holder of the Mouse Miraculous, making her MultiMouse.

"There's six cookies on the plate, Cat! I haven't touched a crumb," Mari said. "Besides, if were going to quote the famous story, where's your stocking cap?" Mari teased. Cat pretended to think for a moment, his green eyes gleaming in the darkness. "I don't have one?"

"Hold on, I'll be right back." Mari scrabbled to her feet, and quickly and quietly returned to her bedroom.

"Oh, where is it?" she rummaged through her drawers. Ah, here it was! She went back to Cat, plopping the stocking cap (complete with string and a pom) down on his head.

Cat looked in the mirror and hissed. "I look like Scrooge!" he quietly wailed. Then he started to bat the pom on his head. Mari tried to hold in her giggles. Cat just loved to pounce on anything with yarn or string!

"Who said your not Scrooge already? You grumbling about your cookie." "Correction. Scrooge just wanted money. I'm just in it for the sweets."

Cat giggled to himself. "What?" Marinette asked curiously. "If my Kwami were here, he'd tell you you forgot the cheese." "Yeah, but then I find out who you are!"

Cat leaned close to Marinette, purring slightly. "Would you like to know?" "Wait a minute. If your Kwami likes cheese so much, is he a mouse?" "No. He's just a Kwami who has a obsession for cheese."

But Adrien didn't mind to much, besides Marinette and Ladybug, Plagg was one of his best friends.

There heard a faint bump and thump up on the roof. "The reindeer have landed!" Cat said. Soon, Santa would come down the chimney, and maybe he brought Cat a present.

"Do you think I was good this year, Princess? Or do you think I ended up on the naughty list?" "Well, your tail does cause a lot of trouble, but maybe being a superhero will make up for it."

"I bet Ladybug's getting something special. She's always good," Cat said. "Maybe that's because she doesn't have a naughty tail and tells Cat puns," Mari flirted.

"That's it!" Cat quietly pounced on her, and the tickling began. Mari clapped a hand over her mouth, trying to soften her giggles.

Suddenly, from the corner of Cat's eye, he saw two boots land in the fireplace. "Quick, Princess! Retreat to the closet!"

Trying to stifle their giggles, the two of them dove into the closet like a pair of naughty five year olds.

Santa was what Cat expected. A tall man, with a red suit and white beard. Aren't they sometimes called whiskers? He thought to himself. That was one of the things Cat wanted that didn't come with superhero outfit. A pair of whiskers, even if it was just for five minutes.

"I think Santa liked your snack, Marinette. There's only one cookie left," Cat reported after watching the action for a few minutes.

They crept out of the closet, then as soon as the coast was clear, Cat grabbed the cookie. "Are you more excited about presents or that cookie?" Marinette teased, as Cat gobbled down his cookie.

Marinette giggled when Cat looked at her with crumbs all over his face. "What?" "Oh, Kitty."

As they climbed the stairs once more, Mari yawned. "Maybe I'll dream about sugar plums," she told her partner. "I think you've been reading to many Christmas stories, Princess."

"Well, what are you going to dream about?" she asked, climbing under the covers. "A catnip mouse?"

Cat pulled her into his arms. "Guilty as charged!" Mari groaned, and ducked under the covers. Cat grinned to himself. Being with Marinette was just so much fun!

As Cat fell asleep, he didn't dream of mice. He dreamed of his Mother, who was holding out her arms for a hug.

Cat held Mari tighter, he wanted his Mother. His father too, even if he didn't make so much time for Adrien.

Maybe one day soon, they could all have Christmas together, the Dupain-Cheng's and the Agreste's. That's what I'd like my dream to be about, Cat thought.

I just want everyone to be happy, Cat thought. I can't wrap that, or buy that in a store, but caring and loving people is better then any Christmas present.
