Hope's messed up mom
"Vincent, I have researched, studied and looked for endless ways to not separate the Mikaelsons. There is no other way to do this. Hope will be devastated, yes, of course….but I can't think of another way to get the hollow out of my daughter than to use magically enhanced beings, four of them"
"What about her dad?" Vincent Griffith yelled "Hope adores Klaus She won't just be devastated, this will destroy her already fragile psyche, then we will have an unstable tribrid on our hands in the shape of a young child, a little girl!"
Vincent was suspicious of Hayley's logic, something just didn't sit right with him and he always trusted his gut. "I have to leave! I have to think of another way to do this'' Hayley huffed and stormed away. The trem'e coven members were naturally intuitive and he had to see Ivy to ask her advice. What could she say though, that he didn't already know, he had to ask. But first he would let Elijah know he was suspicious
"Vincent, what can I help you with?" came the smooth voice of Elijah
"Hey...Elijah, yeah it's about Hayley's idea to use you four as containers for the hollow, listen man…..it's just weird that she doesn't wanna use magical boxes or amulets, somethin' else, anythin' else besides you four. Tell me, is she tryin' to protect her daughter, or getting her revenge on Klaus for somethin' he did?"
A single tear ran down Elijah's cheek remembering what Hayley saw behind the red door. In Elijah's mind lay a red door for which he reserved his most horrific memories. His mindscape was full of the horrors of his past. He killed Tatia, he almost killed Hayley in his mindscape until Hope dragged him out with magic and into the pendant. But then he remembered that Klaus had Dahlia perform the crescent curse on Hayley.
Klaus found a way to protect Hope as a baby, his methods might not have met with Elijah's approval but when Klaus explained why he did what he did. Elijah finally understood what drove his brother to such violence and impulsiveness, his love and loyalty to his daughter.
"Elijah, you there…"
"Yes Vincent, I think I know her motivations, Do not worry, I will not hurt her, I will play it cool...as the kids say these days"
"Okay….but you didn't hear this from me, I don't wanna have an enraged hybrid mother on my ass"
"Received and understood"
"I think this grudge of yours has gone on long enough, do you hate me and Klaus so much that you are willing to separate a father from his daughter, forever?" Elijah said quietly "I don't want to do this, I am what I am, what you saw behind the red door in my mindscape was my greatest shame. I am so sorry that my past self attacked you. I was a monster, evil and without my humanity. A part of myself I have always tried to bury."
Hayley hadn't talked since she woke up in the magically sealed room underneath the abattoir. But now she was raging, and crying and in a mess.
"Klaus took my daughter from me! You could have tried harder to get the crescent curse broken. It was awful, months without my daughter except for every full moon! I hate that I am not part of 'Always and forever', I am forever the estranged mother. Hope is my life and I'll be damned if I let her inherit a thousand years of countless enemies from your brother's countless bloodthirsty rampages!"
"We could have found another way instead of this pointless revenge plot, you wanted to take away her father permanently.

I bought Hope for you to hold! While I tried every way to free you from that horrid curse. Because of revenge, you are in here and Freja has found the other option. Four Amulets supplied by Ivy Dubois, the oracle of the french quarter" Elijah stopped speaking and took a breath. "You will consider the consequences while you are in here, you will contemplate why you want to destroy Klaus by using Hope, your very own lovely daughter, to motivate him into taking the Hollow into his immortal soul, there-fore corrupting his mind."
"Please Elijah, please don't leave me here?" Hayley begged but Elijah turned deaf ears to her empassioned plea.
"Why! Elijah, brother! Why should I spare her life, she tried to take me away from Hope?!" A chair was thrown and Elijah pursed his lips in frustration at his brother's anger.
"Niklaus, if you don't calm down, I will have Freya tether you to this chair until you do calm down, now sit down and listen. What you did to her in the name of protecting Hope from Dahlia, and yes you did it to protect Hayley too, was despicable"
"Yes" Klaus "I did it to protect Hayley too, I had my reasons! But now she has done this! For her petty revenge, to see how I would feel when separated from my beautiful Hope."
"I believe that you owe each other the truth and a sincere apology, you need to make reparations and Hayley needs to apologise for her part in this debacle. Talk to her, Niklaus Please?"
Niklaus closed his eyes and sighed as tears flowed "I will talk to her"
"I am sorry for my part in taking Hope away from you, but I had a plan to link myself to Dahlia, you could not know of it, I was trying to play the bastard for a reason" Hayley Marshall did not speak, she just glared at him "Wipe your crocodile tears away, Klaus, Why should I believe you?" Klaus smiled gently like he used to when he thought about Hope.
"Little wolf, still so stubborn and strong, I have respect for you as the mother of our child, always and forever, you are part of that, whatever made you think you weren't?"
"When I saw Elijah's mindscape, the red door, it made me think of Hope first and if Elijah had ever hurt our daughter the way he hurt me in his own nightmarish world…..I love him, I always will, but our daughter has inherited a thousand enemies because of 'Always and forever'."
"True, but what you almost did was as bad, if not worse than having us there to protect her from those enemies." Klaus thought of Hope being separated from the family and it made him shudder to realise the consequences. "If we let you out of here, can you promise never to attempt to rip her away from us again? We have a solution that will not endanger Hope from the Hollow any longer. Just make that promise and you will be freed from this prison."
Silence met his request then a whisper "I promise, I swear on my own life that I will not do this again, I won't try to take her away again."
"And?" Klaus smirked
"I won't try to get anyone else to take her either, Klaus I swear, just please don't hurt me for trying to protect our daughter from the hollow"
