Everyone was too happy for Scratch's liking.

Well, almost everyone. Molly was the only person whose happiness wasn't currently getting on his nerves. Seeing her being especially happy during a holiday made his dead heart warm, even if it was only slightly. Everyone else could suffer for all he cared—in fact, he would love that but that wasn't the focus for him right now—if she was happy, then that was all Scratch was willing to pay attention to.

He'd be lying if he said he didn't mind the fact Molly was dragging him all over town, Scratch had other plans that involved eating and sleeping though mostly eating, but he supposed it wasn't the worst thing. Scratch slipped his hand under her glove to hold her hand underneath. It was thankfully warm and cozy underneath the mitten she wore so she wasn't freezing. He could've sworn Molly's smile had gotten even bigger. Scratch didn't know that was possible with the previous times she smiled.

The whole thing was nice despite not wanting to be there at first. At least nobody could see him holding her hand, her attention alone was all that he needed.

He was what she needed too.
