This is it.
Lion Rafale will save his childhood friend Jean Kujo from J6's brainwashing. Before arriving at one of J6's bases, he realized that today is December 24, his birthday. That's also the day before Christmas. Realizing this, he's going to get a birthday and Christmas gift of his own, and that is saving his friend from the organization's control.
He hoped his training will pay off this time.
"Jean, like it or not, you're coming home with me," Lion declared.
"Sorry, but I can't. Besides, I don't know who you are," Kujo defied.
"Oh, you will. When we come to blows, that is."
The two assumed to their respective fighting stances. Lion makes his first move by trying to jab Kujo with his fingers, but the latter dodged those. Next, he lands a kick to his face. At least that's one direct hit. Kujo lands a strong punch to his stomach before throwing another punch and a kick to his head, but Lion blocked those. For his next move, Lion does a barrage of blows with his hooked hands, and while Kujo is able to dodge them, he's wide open to land a jab to his forehead.
Just then, Kujo recalled this move during their fight in childhood. He was stunned by this.
"Remember this move, Jean? Seems like you still can't get through it," Lion said in a cocky tone. That made his opponent angry enough to try sending a straight kick to his direction, but he's able to dodge that. Next, Lion tried doing two straight jabs, and Kujo blocked them, but that's not what he's trying to do. In fact, he does a kick to his shin in order to get him to his knees. Lion does an uppercut to send him flying before he hits the ground. "Remember me now, Jean?"
"No, I don't! Why are you so fixated on me?!" Kujo demanded.
"Because... we're friends," Lion sincerely replied.
"We're... friends?"
Just then, Kujo recalled his friendship with Lion, and that's hurting his head.
"Remember me, Jean! You can do it!" Lion encouraged.
"Li... on? Is that you?" the white-haired man said through the pain.
"Yes, it's me, Jean. I'm Lion, your friend. Don't let them control you. Please, come back to me. For my birthday... and Christmas," Lion pleaded.
"Your birthday... and Christmas?" Kujo asked before feeling another set of pain.
"Don't worry, Jean. I'll save you!" the blonde man declared as he landed a strong jab to his head with a hooked hand. It's strong enough to knock him down unconscious. "Jean. Jean, wake up."
"Lion..." Kujo regained consciousness, and he looked at the view where his friend is standing.
"You remember me now?"
"Yes, I remember you. I remember everything," Kujo said before realizing his actions under J6's control. "Oh, what have I done?"
"It's okay, Jean. You're not to blame. J6 brainwashed you, so it's not your fault," Lion reassured him.
"I'm sure the others won't feel the same when they saw me."
"Then you'll just have to prove it to them that you're free. I'll vouch for you if they have any doubts."
In an instant, Kujo hugged Lion tightly in relief to be finally free of that evil organization, and the latter returned it. After a few seconds, they let go of the hug, just in time to see J6 soldiers standing in front of them.
"Are you up for a fight?" Lion asked his friend with a grin on his face.
"Yeah, I am. Time to teach those J6 bastards a lesson for messing with my mind," Kujo replied while cracking his fists. He also has a grin in his face.
Together, they fought their way against the soldiers as they went back home to their country, France. For this year's Christmas, Kujo has decided to stay with Lion as thanks for saving him from J6's brainwashing. They came home just in time to celebrate his birthday. Lion had already found a birthday and Christmas gift in getting his friend back.
This is indeed a birthday and Christmas to come back to.
Author's Note: Lion Rafale's birthday is on December 24, so yeah.
