A/N: Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Since TPS was heavily focused on the OCs, and I haven't really finished a Christmas N/Y fanart this year, have some NaYuri Christmas prompt cuteness.

Carol

Sneaking into the pottery shop, Yuri winces as she still jingles the bell over the door too loudly. But just as she hoped, the boy she wants to surprise is not waiting at the checkout counter. He's in the back, and she can tell because his voice carries a holiday tune down the hall. And oh, does he carry it well. He's singing so soulfully to himself that he didn't even hear the bell.

Leaning against the counter, she smiles and lets herself listen for a while. She's never really heard him sing before. It sounds gentle, earnest… even cute.

What's even cuter, though, is the fierce crimson blush that engulfs his face when he steps out into the store and sees her waiting patiently.

"Wha—how long have you been standing there?!" he sputters.

"About two minutes," Yuri says sweetly.

He squeaks incoherently. "You should've said something!"

"And interrupt your Christmas caroling? Why would I do that? You have a lovely voice."

"Don't be cruel…"

"Seriously! Why keep working here when you have such a promising future in the music industry?"

Yuri happily gives him a full ten minutes of this. His flustered reaction may just be the best Christmas gift the universe has ever given her.

(Besides the singing itself, of course. That's something she'll treasure forever.)

Mistletoe

Kimito Naoi has been angling for a night like this for a long time. His richest and most loyal customers, the Nakamuras, have never been shy about teasing the thought either. Their daughter Yuri is the same age as his son (well, sons), and if Hayato is to succeed him in the pottery business, he'll need a suitable wife to provide an heir of his own. So, much as he loathes such social gatherings, Kimito bites the bullet and concedes to bring his family over to the Nakamura's Christmas party. Apparently they see very little of each other at school, so what better way to get them acquainted?

He's ultimately satisfied when he glances out into one of the less illuminated hallways and spots Yuri in the foyer, wrapped in the embrace of his son and kissing him passionately underneath a sprig of mistletoe. Being his father, it's a little disconcerting to witness, but a kiss like that… he had no idea the boy had it in him. His arms are wound tightly around Yuri's waist, pulling her against him as she grasps tightly to his shoulders before weaving her arms around his neck.

Good grief, girl, let him breathe! Kimito only has one other son and he's not nearly as masterful at ceram—

Wait a second. The man frowns, squinting and trying to look closer. That sweater doesn't look like the same one Hayato wore to this party…

"Dad?" a voice comes from behind.

Kimito swings around, ready to berate his other son for startling him like that, when his expression suddenly freezes in shock.

Hayato blinks, caught off-guard as he clutches the dessert they brought in his hands. "I found Mom's lemon bars. They were still in the backseat of the car," he explains. Sure enough, still wearing his blue sweater with the penguin in the Santa hat.

Kimito's mouth falls open, struggling to find words. He turns back to the hallway with wide eyes. If Hayato's in here, then…

"Wow," Hayato intones, coming up beside him with an impressed look on his face. "Go, little brother…!"

Kimito massages his temples in frustration. Must that boy ruin everything?

Bows

There's laughter coming from the living room. The Battlefront's hanging out at Otonashi and Kanade's house for Christmas, and the couple is pulling cookies out of the oven while Hinata, Takamatsu, Ooyama, and Shiina share smiles and hot cider at the table. TK's dancing to radio music, and Matsushita's on the phone in the corner, checking in on his cousin Hinako and wishing her happy holidays. But when Yuri steps out of the kitchen, she sees Fujimaki and Yui leaning over the couch while Noda hovers against the adjacent wall, watching them with a thinly disguised grin.

Fujimaki and Yui giggling together is never a good sign. With double the mischief, they're a dangerous and pranky combination. Yuri strides across the room with a purpose, determined to know what's going on. By process of elimination, she already knows who the victim is.

"What are you doing?" Yuri says sharply, making all three of them jump.

"Yurippe!" Fujimaki yelps, while Yui gives a similar squeak. Both of them turn around with their hands behind their backs and make deliberate shuffling movements to block her view.

Unimpressed, she steps forward and pushes them apart like curtains. "Leave him alone!" she snaps. "He's had a long day at work."

Naoi's father had him working for hours at the shop today to cover for his twin brother (who, being the favorite, managed to convince their dad to let him go to an earlier Christmas party with his own friends), so not only did Naoi arrive a little late, but he was also dog-tired. Of course he's the one passed out on the couch. But when she really looks down, she has to fight hard to repress a smile.

From head to toe, Naoi is covered with colorful gift bows. There's multiple gold, silver, and red ones stuck to his hair. Pink, green, purple, and blue bows freckle his shirt. His pants are the section reserved for the patterned or fancy bows, plaid and striped and streamers. Even on his feet, they have carefully placed a shiny green on the left and a shiny red on the right. Yuri suspects they were not finished with the decorations when she caught them, going by the boxes of tinsel lying open nearby.

"We know!" Yui peeps, clasping her hands in guilt.

"It's just our way of saying his presence tonight is a gift!" Fujimaki adds brilliantly.

"Oh, stop it," Yuri says severely. "Get those off of him right now."

Noda scoffs from his wall. "But he's sleeping, we don't want to disturb him…" he says, earning a warning growl from Yuri.

Yui looks hopefully over Yuri's shoulder toward the kitchen. "Can't I just show Hinakins first—?"

"DO YOU GUYS WANT ME TO BRING BACK PENALTY GAMES?" Yuri shrieks.

Yui, Noda, and Fujimaki run towards the kitchen in great fear, right as a startled Naoi begins to stir.

"Huh…?" He lifts his bow-covered head, disoriented. Only a silver one falls off. Looking around in a daze, he sees the others scampering into the other room. Then he blinks blearily up at Yuri, trying to make sense of her face. "What…?"

"Well, while you were getting your beauty sleep, Yui and Fujimaki played a little prank on you," Yuri says, gesturing to his getup.

Shifting into a sitting position, Naoi glances down at himself, then rolls his eyes with a groan. "Oh, come on…"

He starts ripping the bows off of his shirt, but suddenly he and Yuri are both startled when a bright light briefly fills up the room.

"Sorry!" Yui cries from the kitchen pass-through. "I forgot my flash was on!"

"Come on, Yui! Rookie mistake!" Fujimaki complains.

Sighing, Naoi goes back to removing the decorations from his shirt. "Unbelievable," he mutters, glancing down at his pants and feet.

"Here…" Yuri moves to sit down on the edge of the coffee table in front of him. "Let me help you."

Naoi lifts his gaze from his lap in sharp surprise, making Yuri hesitate in mid-reach. Pushing past his bemused flinch, she carefully plucks the bows out of his hair one by one. He reaches up as well, realizing only now that the bows are there too, and his fingertips accidentally brush against hers. Though he recoils instantly, their eyes meet, and she feels her cheeks flush with more warmth than can be blamed on the nearby fireplace.

"Sorry," she murmurs, dropping her hand.

"Why?" he asks, resolutely picking at the bows on his pants. "You're not the one responsible for this."

"I wish they'd just let you sleep in peace," Yuri says with a sigh. "You seemed so tired."

"Did they at least offer up a reason why?" Naoi harrumphs, peeling the gold ones off each of his sleeves like cufflinks.

"Fujimaki said it was because your being here with us tonight was a gift," she offers. When he utters a skeptical scoff, she slows as she's dropping a green bow into the box. "I mean, it's true though. We're all glad you came. I know you had a long day with your father and all…"

"Yeah, well, his face wasn't the only one I wanted to see this Christmas," he mutters to the floor.

Yuri breaks into a smile. "Aww," she says endearingly, giving his freshly bow-less knee a poke. "You love us."

Glancing up at her, Naoi purses his lips. There's a moment where his eyes soften, looking almost bashful. "Sure, I do," he says casually, and stands up, letting the few remaining bows drop to the ground. Then he looks down at her, and the soft gold has been replaced with a flicker of telltale red. "Now, please excuse me while I show two of them just how much."

Before he rounds the coffee table, he pauses, picks up a green bow, and pats it onto her head.

"Looks better on you," he says, walking away.

Putting a hand to the bow, Yuri bites her lip, trying unsuccessfully to hold back a grin.
