A/N: Hello. :) Since it's getting close to Christmas, I figured I'd make this story for just the occasion, especially since today is Christmas Day. That's right. For Christmas, you get to read this story. :) If it suits your fancy, great. But if it disappoints you, I apologize. Anyway, first off, this time, we'd see that Robyn has an older sister as well. And secondly, here's the cast for below (and the first two would be for only when the magic has taken effect; otherwise there would only be classic Tom and Jerry archived voices form the classic shorts, although they'll still appear throughout the movie, that much I can assure you).
Daran Norris - Tom Cat
Debi Derriberry - Jerry Mouse/Raven
Tara Strong - Robyn Starling
Kath Soucie - Tuffy Mouse
Yuri Lowenthal - Prince James
Garry Chalk - King of Cats
Brad Garret - Roger
Trevor Devall - Lackey
Mark Oliver - Dr. Malevolent
Ian James Corlett - Paulie
Kathleen Baar - Nellie
Richard Newman - The Toymaker
And now, without further ado, let the festive holiday story begin.
Tom and Jerry: A Nutcracker Tale
Chapter 1: There's Magic in the Air
It all began one snowy night in the city when the Nutcracker Broadway musical was playing at the Patterson Theater with the curtains closing as Robyn Starling was among the audience while Tom, Jerry, and Tuffy are in the rafters.
"Once upon a Christmas Eve, the Nutcracker ballet was performed to everyone's delight. And while this ballet had many admirers, in this theater, it had no greater fan than Robyn Starling, Tom Cat, and little Jerry Mouse.", the narrator spoke as Jerry clapped before noticing that Tuffy wasn't clapping, prompting him to clap, whistle, and of course, blow an air horn, before Robyn shouted to the ballerina on stage.
"Bravo sis, Bravo!", Robyn complimented before she tossed a rose over to her sister, who managed to catch the rose before Robyn smiled as her sister looked at the rose with the curtains closing.
"Meanwhile, outside the theater...", the narrator spoke as speaking of which, some alleycats were singing about their leader, who ate his hot dog before stepping off the chair and landing in the cat's arms for his safe leverage while the rest were crushed by the falling chair and soon, the cats gathered around him in a line with Roger next to the King of Cats, who is his cousin and also in the middle of said line, as they did some dancing kicks before a truck passed by, splashing snow onto them.
King of the cats
That's what he is
Takin ' all our sustenance
Like it was really his
Greedy to a fault
Bully to us all
He'll only be your friend
So you can take the fall
But he's really something special
Something you just can 't deny
Everybody raise a cheer
Mainly 'cause we know he's here
Everybody raise a cheer
To the king of the cats
King of Cats: King of the cats
That's what I am
Pushing 'em around
Because I know I can
Lackey: Greedy to a fault
King of Cats: Bully to 'em all
Lackey: He'll only be your friend
King of Cats: So you can take the fall
All: But he's really something special
Something you just can 't deny
Lackey: Everybody raise a cheer
All: Mainly 'cause we know he's here
Everybody raise a cheer
To the king of the cats
Inside the theater, though, as Raven went back inside to pick her younger sister up, Robyn was feeling quite down about the show being over, if not having to wait for another year for another viewing of a magical show like this.
"Now, she must sadly wait another long year until the next performance. Nothing for Robyn in this empty place... except her love of the ballet.", the narrator spoke as Robyn thought about doing some ballet just as Jerry decided to try some dancing of his own.
"If only he could dance.", the narrator added before Jerry, while dancing, slipped on a ribbon, crashed into an ornament, and slipped onto a candy cane, bringing the toy along for the ride as it got stuck around him due to the ribbon before both crashed onto a present with the toy now upside down in front of Jerry, prompting a jeering laugh from Tom as he slapped his knee at the sight, prompting Robyn to give a glare toward Tom, who gulped nervously with a grin while Tuffy cheered for Robyn by means of clapping, whistling, spinning, and blowing an air horn.
"Thanks, Tuffy.", Robyn grinned.
"Just think. One of these days, you could be the ballerina in the show next year.", Raven guessed.
"Yeah. Maybe...", Robyn responded.
"But what's the use of pretending?", the narrator spoke as Jerry smashed the toy onto the ground in frustration, making it lose its head, literally, prompting Tuffy to blow his nose sadly.
"It's okay, Jerry. It takes years to be good at ballet. So maybe you can learn from me.", Robyn assured as she picked Jerry up and placed him on her shoulder.
"These things never change. Why, that would take a miracle.", the narrator spoke before suddenly, a spotlight shone on Robyn, Raven, Tom, and Jerry with magic sparkles descending down in front of the group with it changing Tom and Jerry first by dressing them in a sort of fancy attire while Tuffy ate popcorn with Jerry discovering that he can actually dance, although Tuffy showed no reaction before Jerry glared, prompting Tuffy to clap.
"Bravo! Bravo!", Tuffy cheered.
"Thank you.", Jerry spoke to Tuffy before gasping.
"You talked. Hey. So did I!", Tom spoke in surprise.
"Robyn? What's going on?", Raven asked.
"I don't know. But I think there's something magical going on here.", Robyn guessed as Jerry danced along.
Sure enough, the sparkles appeared once more and then brought the nutcracker to life before he stood up and saluted.
"Greetings. It's a pleasure to meet you.", the nutcracker spoke.
"Oh. Nice to meet you. I'm Robyn. This is my older sister, Raven, and those are my friends.", Robyn introduced.
"I'm Tom.", Tom greeted.
"I'm Jerry. And this is Tuffy.", Jerry responded, gesturing to said mouse.
"Nice to meet you all. I'm Prince James.", James introduced.
"But wait! A king needs more. And a king needs his royal court.", the narrator spoke as the magic then brought the toys to life, especially an elf, whose head was dislodged earlier, prompting him to glare at Jerry, who blushed nervously.
"Sorry about that.", Jerry apologized.
"No worries. You can't hurt a quality toy.", the elf doll assured as he put his head back on with the toys gathering in two lines around the two girls.
"And a ballet needs a ballerina.", the narrator added before the magic then went to both the ballerina and Robyn and Raven as well, split into 3 swirls.
"What's going on? What's happening to me?", Robyn puzzled as she started to fade.
"I don't know. But it's happening to me, too.", Raven responded as she, too started to fade before both disappeared with a box appearing in their place, which opened up to show both Raven and Robyn, now shrunk and turned into ballerinas with Raven's dress being glimmering white while Robyn's is shimmering red.
"Wow. Raven, look at us. We're ballerinas!", Robyn spoke excitedly as she got off the podium and danced along with Jerry.
"A lovely couple, no?", Tuffy asked before he accidentally knocked Paulie's head off.
"Sorry.", Tuffy apologized.
"Come to think of it, a king needs a kingdom too. Even if it's built on fragile magic.", the narrator spoke as the magic then turned the stage into an actual castle with snow and trees outside the castle as far as the eye could see before the magic then dressed up and he then pushed Robyn, Raven, Tom, and Jerry's chairs a bit forward, closer to the table.
"Well? Shall we make a toast?", Raven asked.
"We shall, Raven.", Prince James responded as hje and the others raised their glass chalices and clinked them together to commemorate the apparent feast.
