Peter rubbed his palms against his jeans, quickly remembering to tuck his Spider-Man mask into his back pocket before Michelle opened the door. The sight of her natural beauty and glowing smile stunned him into silence, making it nearly impossible to form her full name, so he settled on her nickname, "MJ." He smiled at her.

"Long time no see, nerd!" She smiled brightly at him, immediately opening her arms to welcome him in a hug. "I missed you," she muttered against his shoulder, so quietly that the roar of the NYC traffic muffled it.

He hugged her tightly, breathing in the scent of her hair while smiling serenely. After taking out a group of robbers, it felt incredibly therapeutic to be near her. "I missed you," he responded. He heard her sigh, calling his name softly.

"Where have you been, Pete?" She pulled away slightly so that she could look into his clear blue eyes, "We were supposed to study for Calculus yesterday afternoon. What happened?" Her smile disappeared, replacing it with a worried glance that flooded him with guilt.

Bringing up a shaky hand, he tucked a dark curl behind her ear before apologizing, "I'm so sorry. I completely forgot that Aunt May asked me to help her around the house. I did chores all day." Which he did, after saving a little boy who wandered into a busy street during a green light, but MJ didn't need to know that detail. He stroked her cheek, "Besides, you don't need me to study."

Michelle rolled her eyes, "Well duh, tiger. I know I don't need you to study. We are practically tied for highest gpa in our class." Peter couldn't help the smile that lit up his face as he listened. He loved her confidence. In fact, he still had no idea how he got so lucky with her.

"I know that MJ," he shrugged his shoulders, "you remind me everyday." MJ hit his shoulder, taking him by surprise by the force of this hit. He stared at her, rubbing his shoulder. "What was that for?"

"For worrying me! You could've texted." She stepped away to lean against her building's wall. "Just give me a heads up."

"I will," he promised.

Nodding her head, a mischievous smile appeared on her face. "It's too bad you couldn't make it. My parents weren't home." She batted her eyes at him, clicking her converse clad feet together as she watched him turn bright red.

"What now?" He sputtered, wide eyed.

His reaction sent her into a fit of giggles. "Oh well! Your loss." She watched him shake his head, his ears started to return to their normal color.

"It totally is," he confessed, taking a step towards her. She waited for him to approach her, her eyes never leaving his.

"Why do you still do that?" She posed the question quietly as she watched his nerves start to settle.

"What?"

"Get so nervous with me?" She gently tugged the collar of his button up shirt until she could press her lips against his. "No matter how hard I try, I cannot resist you nerd. So, relax." She nuzzled her nose against his own.

Peter released a breath, wrapping his arms around her waist. "You always mess with me," he grinned at her proud gaze. Her ego inflamed a few sizes up every once in a while.

"You make it too easy, Peter. But, I'm the only one who can. Anyone else tries and then they can get to know my fist on a first name basis."

Peter's eyebrows rose, her spunk and bouts of protectiveness never failed to render him speechless. Sometimes, it seemed like she could wear the suit more often than he can. "And I wholly accept you as my body guard," he grinned at her before kissing the corner of her mouth, sending her into a fit of giggles.

"Peter Parker, you are the only one that unleashes my crazy laugh and I will hurt you if you ever reveal it." She placed her hand over her chest. "And I say that only out of pure love."

He froze, his eyes boring into her own. Neither of them even so mentioned the word love to each other, but it always seemed to be an unspoken sentiment between them. Hearing her say the word, unleashed a gigantic party of butterflies in his stomach, which caught him so off guard that he dug his foot into the pavement for

proof he wasn't dreaming. "MJ," he whispered.

She bit her lip, doubting the confession each second that passed by with Peter's silence. Finally, he surprised her by literally sweeping her off her feet into a tight embrace before crashing his lips against her own, enveloping her into a kiss that sent chills all the way down her spine. The two teens were so wrapped up in the moment that they didn't notice the limo pulling up next to them.

The window rolled down, revealing Tony Stark. "Well, this awkward." His announcement startled the two teens who pulled apart instantly. Tony grinned. "My apologies. I didn't mean to interrupt young lovers, but Peter." He pulled his sunglasses down to the bridge of his nose, peering at the blushing teen. "Remember, I needed your help down at the facility today. You know...tons of paperwork to be filed." Tony frowned, his own voice dipping into uncertainty. He was not expecting Peter's girlfriend to be there, and he didn't want to reveal anything.

As Peter floundered to respond to Mr. Stark, Michelle spoke up. "Hi, Mr. Stark. It's Saturday and Peter has been busy all week at the internship. Does he not get a day off?" She crosses her arms and tilted her head. Peter instantly recognizes her body language and tone, which all forewarns a Michelle rant.

He slips an arm around her waist, leaning to whisper in her ear, "It's okay, M.J." Before he could say more, he's met with a steely glare that immediately shuts him up.

"No, Peter," she responds, "It's not. You are obviously completely exhausted." Her expression softens, unveiling a sad expression in her eyes.

Peter instinctively squeezed her hip. "It's something I have to do." The rest of his words die in his throat when her expression becomes more crestfallen.

She briefly glances towards a solemn Tony before looking into Peter's eyes and offering him a weak smile. "Okay, you obviously need to do what you need up do. I know this is important." She raises her hand to absentmindedly fuss with the collar of his shirt.

Peter gulps heavily. "Michelle...I'm."

"Peter, it's fine." She leans her head against his shoulder, suddenly feeling too exhausted to stand upright. She wraps her arms around his waist and soaks in the proximity. "Call me when you're done?"

Peter buries his face in her curls, inhaling her signature sent. "Promise," he mumbles.

She nods, pulling away to press her lips against his for a kiss goodbye that left Peter with a rosy tint to his ears. "Talk to you later, Tiger."

She offered Tony a small salute before retreating back up her steps and into the house. Peter just stared at the door, his fingers tracing his backpocket until he felt the fabric of his mask. "Kid?" The sound of Tony's voice interrupted his trance.

Peter turned around and entered the limo unaware that Michelle watched him though her window. The faint red of fabric still showing as he walked away. Her heart skipped as her breathing shallowed. Peter. Her nerd. It couldn't be.
