For the first time in Shin-Ah's life, he is nearly fully exposed, the only thing hidden is his face, a small mercy Zeno gives him.
No one says anything or acts different; Zeno is fun and supportive. Hak is quiet as if indifferent. Yun is encouraging and less tired.
And the hot spring makes Shin-Ah feel surrounded, hot water leaving even his face warm and sweating ever so slightly. He's so used to being cold, but this is different, so hot his body relaxes like it's melting and becoming water too.
Shin-Ah wonders if this is the kind of thing that is normal, that he's been missing his whole life. If when one has friends, he heads to hot springs sometimes with them.
It's a level of trust that Shin-Ah's never experienced before as he just lets the moment be. This trust could even be the beginning of even deeper trust one day, as peaceful as water against skin when it happens. Shin-Ah both hopes for that, and feels a little nervous about sharing that much of himself with others.
