"I miss him."
"Me too."
Both Hugs and Tugs were looking at a hill, they just finished placing flowers on the wooden plaque.
"How long as it's been?"
"Over thirty years."
They were at the cemetery. It was known as Slumber Flower Valley, it was named that after the flowers that used to grow wild around here. They just finished saying goodbye to their granny, the Care Bear Matriarch, Grams Bear who passed away a few years ago. They wanted to see their old friend, the Sleeping Giant, who helped saved their lives when they were children.
"We should repaint this." Hugs said absently. The paint was old and worn out.
"Maybe make a new sign instead." The wood was old, it was practically falling apart. "What do you think he's dreaming about?"
"Living with us, playing with our children." She said sadly. It was only a day, but she missed him everyday. Their uncle Tenderheart said he was sleeping, but when they grew older they knew what that really meant.
"He's here in spirit everyday." He puts his arm around his sister.
"Mom! Uncle Tugs!"
"Let's tell our children about him, how he saved our lives." Hug's daughter was playing with her cousins.
"That's a good idea. Let's make a new sign. One for Granny, and one for the Giant." The hill was covered in beautiful flowers, it was perfect place for sleeping.
"Kids! Come here, we have a story to tell you."
Once their kids sat down, Tugs started his story, with Hugs telling about how kind their new friend was.
"It all started when we accidentally woke up a sleeping giant..."
