Luna, Sam, Sully and Mazzy were traveling together in a van that Sully had inherited on his 20th birthday. It had peace symbols all over it, the thought had occurred to Sully to repaint it, but he and his friends decided the sixties vibe on it was so cool, that they liked it just the way it was. The band was really excited, because they were heading to Cleveland to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! To say they were excited was an understatement

They got a reasonably priced hotel room in a town not too far away, it was two beds, but they didn't mind sharing. Luna and Sam had been dating for years, and sharing a bed was nothing new to either of them. Mazzy and Sully started dating in high school themselves, and felt comfortable sharing a bed with each other. They decided to have dinner at a nearby Outback Steakhouse where they discussed their plans.

"This is going to be so great! Y'know, I've read about some of the other attractions in this area. There's Cuyahoga Valley National Park which goes through the Ohio River, and we can take a train ride through there! There's the house where 'A Christmas Story' was filmed, that could be fun," said Mazzy.

"That does sound groovy. I've read about Cuyahoga Valley, we should explore it, they've got amazing wildlife, and it's a testament to conservation," agreed Sam before she excused herself to visit the restroom. Once she was out of sight, Luna leaned her head closer to Sully and Mazzy.

"Alright luv's, you remember the plan for tomorrow morning, right?" she asked them in a whisper, the two of them nodded with smiles.

The next day, before the festival began, the band headed over to downtown Cleveland, paid to park near the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame and then paid to get tickets into the museum. ("They really suck you dry around here, don't they?" whispered Mazzy to Sully.)

They had an excellent time exploring the museum. From Elvis to the Doobie, to stopping at the Guns N' Roses exhibit, and Michael Jackson and David Bowie displays, it was everything they could hope for. Then they came to the Mick Swagger display. There was a mannequin that looked like him, wearing one of the suits he had once worn in concert. Next to it was a guitar he had played, very neatly displayed. There was even a copy of one of his old vinyl records there. Luna smiled, and handed her phone to Mazzy.

"Can you take a picture of me and Sam in front of the Mick Swagger display?" she asked, with a wink. What Sam didn't realize was that Mazzy was now actually recording. Luna approached her girlfriend, Sam was expecting her to wrap her arm around her but instead, she stopped a few feet from her.

"Sam, you have been my plus one for years. You were with me when I came out to my family about my bisexuality. They were supportive of who I was and they immediately liked you too. You have been awesome with my siblings. When we play together, I feel like nothing else in the world matters. I don't want to miss one thing with you Sam. Your kisses lift me higher like the sweet song of a choir. Sam, what I am trying to get at," here, Luna got down on one knee and pulled a small jewelry box from a jacket pocket, she opened it up to Sam who saw that it was a silver ring with a blue gemstone that had a music note inscribed inside of it.

"Sam, sweet child o' mine, will you marry me?" asked Luna. Sam felt tears of joy run down her face.

"Yes, I will marry you!" she accepted Luna got up and placed the ring on Sam's finger and the two of them kissed each other right on the lips. At this point a small crowd had gathered hearing Luna's proposal and applauded. One individual started singing "I'm a Believer" by the Monkees. The newly engaged couple blushed at that, but it didn't matter, they were happy to share their love with anyone would listen. Mazzy stopped recording as she and Sully joined in the applause.

"You two knew about this?" she asked them between laughs.

"Luna swore us to secrecy," said Sully with an awkward smile. Then a bearded man with a hat and sunglasses approached them.

"Well, let me be among the first to congratulate the two of you on beginning this new chapter of your lives together," he said, shaking Luna and Sam's hands.

"Hey, you seem familiar," said Sam. The man removed his disguise, it was Mick Swagger himself! Everyone present gasped.

"I sometimes like going here incognito so I can enjoy the exhibits without being mobbed, but today, I'm glad I did, so I can see my two biggest fans get engaged!" he said proudly. Luna and Sam were overcome with joy that they nearly fainted.

Happy New Year everyone!
