Disclaimer: I don't Own Anything but my Oc.

My Oc in my Wave Child Story. I want to pair her with Gaara so I wrote this one.

Namikaze Uzumaki Namiko died during one of her experiments with one of her space-time jutsu as she traveled all over the place despite being forgiven and having a family living in the Konohagakure.

Oh, she loves her family and is finally at peace with her new life after the fourth shinobi war but she likes being free without being tied to Konohagakure.

Even if somehow, she managed to give birth to a daughter and a son by the person who never stops reaching out his hands despite all the atoracies she had done in her life. She never stopped traveling around doing whatever she wanted.

Of course, she loves the person who managed to enter her heart, she also loves her children, but, it wasn't enough to keep her firmly tied up to the Village that had started the spiral of her life.

And as always she is a selfish person.

However, when she died, there were countless regrets for leaving the love of her life, having not enough time for her lovely daughter and adorable son. But it seemed reincarnation had lessened her emotions in the previous life, stopping her from going crazy when she got her memories back.

Especially when the wish she desperately wanted at the early start of her life seemed to have been granted in her new life.

Even if she wasn't Namikaze and Uzumaki anymore.

She was born in the Naruto world again, but completely different from the one she just left.

Naruto doesn't have a twin sister, the Fourth Hokage died at the Kyuubi attack because there is no younger sister of Kushina.

And the most grating of all is that Namiko wasn't born in the Konohagakure with the Uchiha Massacre by the hand of Uchiha Itachi, which meant her husband is dead in this world.

Although, she knew that it wasn't the same person that managed to enter her heart.

Obviously, Namiko would live a completely different life, unable to be the same as the previous one anymore.

She was five years old the moment she regained her memories as Namikaze Uzumaki Naruto and that she learned how she is now living in Sunagakure, the Sand Village ,which she hated the hot and dry weather.

How there are always strands of sand in the air whenever there is a wind blowing.

Although, the moment she figured out that she was born to a similar world from the memories of her first life that she would never forget because her spirit form skill remains despite being born again.

She had decided to leave everything to fate, never going in her way to keep fixing every single situation that went wrong.

For the first time, Namiko had decided to remain in the Sand Village even though she doesn't like the hot and dry weather. Completely different decision in her previous life.

It might be because she can start once again, all the circumstances and sin she had done ended with her death.

So, for a few years, Namiko behaved like an obedient child toward her parents and older brother although still smart but never once thought of becoming an active ninja.

There are different types of ninjas around, one doesn't have to be the same as those who take missions to go out and kill people.

Namiko had decided to be a medic-nin as rare as it is in their Village, researching and inventing tools that are mostly convinient and helpful.

Always trying to build up her chakra since she doesn't have the enormous chakra with a strong life force because of her bloodline anymore.

Basically, she will train the way Sakura Haruno had done, never wasting a single drain of her chakra because she couldn't be wasteful anymore.

Although it was helpful that Namiko parent are both shinobi and being one of the countless Jounin in Sunagakure. She also belong to Clan in the village, albeit being in the branch instead of the main family, which had power and authority in Sunagakure.

And knowing how Namiko Mezu Clan had people in the Council allowed her to make plan for future situation later on.

Although, it wasn't part of Namiko plan how she end up getting deeper in the political part of the Village, being helpful and changing the population livelihood for the better with her ideas and invention solving most of the problematic circumstances that the Sunagakure have for a long time.

Namiko was quite sure that someone had tried to built up Greenhouse before she even thought of it, but, she was the only one who managed to create without too much problem with the help of her fuinjustu.

And she had only done it because she wanted to eat fresh vegetbles every day, even fresh and clear water is luxurious without money, position and power.

Life in Sunagakure is hard, especially for the civilians that weren't trained like Ninjas, although no one had died from starvation, but the livelihood is baffling bad. Compare to life in Konoha, it's like Heaven and Earth.

It was also the reason why Namiko completely understands how Gaara father had planned an attack to Konohagakure despite being replaced by the Snake Sannin at the end of it.

Namiko was eight years old when the familiar chakra of Shukaku entered her sensor, it was one of the many days where she felt like staying late at night to stare at the dark sky filled with the familiars stars that is the same as the previous life she left.

Sometimes, she couldn't help but consider if she should do something since she doesn't know if the dimension she appeared would have different outcome when the fourth shinobi war occured.

But it was also because of the Fourth Shinobi War that the everyone dream was fulfilled. The hatred in the past was completely wipe out after everything is over. Everyone was able to move on without the Villages grievance holding everyone out from becoming close allies.

So, when she was in the arm of her mother as they race to a shelter for safety, Namiko wonder while Shukaku crazy roar losing control somewhere in the Village loudly echoed out in the night.

… Sorry Gaara, just wait a few more years… someone will be able to understand your pain.

Namiko can't change this because the Kazekage would do it again one way or another. It's better to follow the same circumstances.

In her memories, during the time she visited Gaara in the Sunagakure, drinking sake on top of a roof during night time, she listened as the grown-up man that had gotten the respect and admiration he deserve told her stories of his past.

Although, she would always remember the heavy emotions hidden behind the man's eyes when he thought she wasn't looking or completely oblivious to heavy emotions such as 'love' within since she had known the sign before.

And when Namiko watches as that same man succumbs to madness, she couldn't help but wonder if she should reach out after Naruto knocks a sense into him a few years later.

She had always known of his existence but never tried to get close or appear before him for the sake of not changing anything.

Despite how hard and harsh Gaara's childhood was, but it was that sole reason that made him become the wonderful and amazing person in her memories. Besides, Namiko doesn't want to get in the way of the special connection Naruto and Gaara will have in this world.

That special bond is the main reason why Sunagakure and Konohagakure had remained strong as allies in the future. Even the next generation had followed suit.

Gaara, in the future, you will love the Village with all your heart… and they will give the same adoration for you.

Wait for a bit… I'll use the right opportunatiy in the future to help you out with the problem and difficulty you will be facing.

And the years go by, Namiko grew up making connections, and being a medic had been extremely helpful in getting to know all kinds of different people. Although, she had also been laying a foundation in the main family where she belonged after the next heir accidentally died.

Of course, she does it all in the dark, hiding her existence with someone taking the lead, only a few people knew the true mastermind behind what is happening inside the Village.

She has always been good at manipulating people.

"Namiko-chan, did I tell you how scary you are?"

"A lot of the time."

At the age of 12 years old, Mezu Namiko had people working under her, following her will without hesitation and will die for her plan to succeed.

"If I didn't know why you are doing this, I already reported you to Kazekage-sama and the Council."

"You'll die before you could."

Namiko loves the sealing arts, especially when it's extremely useful in keeping a person loyal and making it extremely hard to betray her. Of course, unlike Danzo, everyone was told of what it was, getting their permission before being given the silent seal.

"Hahah, and that is what makes you extremely terrifying, Namiko-chan!"

She just rolled her eyes at her relatives that were forgotten and ignored in the past, unable to clearly see what was hidden beneath that cheerful smile and kind gesture, in which the ambition burned deep inside him that first caught her attention.

There are all kinds of ambition, and what she sees in him is the fact that his ambition is not something that would burn her and their families or the Village.

He is ambitious because he cares deeply about what is going to happen if their family continues their foolish way or how the Village is becoming weaker.

Although Namiko is a branch relative to the main family, but even she could tell that the power and prestige they held is spiraling downward, the people with power are turning blind to what is good for their family members.

Instead, they are becoming greedy, ambitious, and downright manipulative that feel like they are being suffocated.

It is also one of the reasons why the next heir had died when they sent him to a mission he wasn't ready for, but their pride and unfounded belief without the power to back it up cost the tragedy.

Hell, their opinion regarding Gaara situation as the Junchiriki being one of it, which had push the Kazekage to make his ruthless move in the past, choosing to throw his Father side and choosing to make his decision as the Village Leader.

Such foolish people who wanted a child to take full control of a Biju. It was simply impossible and yet they thought that someone can do it.

Honestly, she wanted to let them try it if they thought it was something that can be done.

Now, look at what they end up getting with, a crazy and sadistic Gaara that is slowly losing his mind.

The countless deaths every month are increasing, fortunately, the Kazekage had deemed to stop sendng assassins to kill his son after the plan of making him control Shukaku was deemed a failure.

Hopefully, Naruto is able to smack Gaara back to the right path like the previous life she left behind. Or else, she might try to talk to the Biju and fixing the loose seal on him.

After all, Namiko had been a junchiriki, and she knew a lot more about the Biju, so she might be able to convince even the most bloodthirsty among the tailed beast.

Kyuubi had been all hatred, but Shukaku is the most loose among the Biju.

"I'll see you again, Namiko-chan~"

"Kenta, don't die."

"Aww~ I know that you care even with that dark heart of yours! Don't worry though, I won't fail, I'll get enough power so that we can survive and make our Village better than it is now! Namiko-chan, I can see it coming to fruition because we have you looking after us~"

Namiko isn't the only one who can see the darkness and rotten that is trying to consume and swallow their Village.

Although it wasn't similar to how extreme Danzo had been in the Konoha, but the oldest people with power also had extreme ideas and wrong opinions that greatly affected the Village management and its people livelihood.

Speaking of Elder, Namiko is reminded of elder Chiyo that had mostly stayed out of the Council decision despite being the one who had done the sketchy seal on Gaara.

It's time to make a careful preparation just in case Elder Chiyo won't give her own life if Gaara once again dies because of the extraction of Shukaku.

Or should I stop it from happening? What to do…

Somehow, Namiko cares more than she thought so regarding the Gaara in this world. It might be because she cared in the previous life but couldn't give the man what he wanted from her.

After all, she already gave her heart to someone else and they didn't met at the right time.

Even if she is selfish, she didn't want to hurt two people at the same time because of being indecisive of her feelings.

… Hmm… although they aren't the same person, but you won this time Gaara. It seemed that years of stubbornness and remaining loyal all those years had become a catalyst in this lifetime to make me feel a bit move.

Namiko gently smiled before letting out a sigh as she prepared for her next shift in the Hospital and couldn't help but wonder if she could take a glimpse of Gaara figure once again while she was on her way.

After all, she wasn't going on her way to see him.

And then, there he is, standing on top of a tall building, sitting with a huge gourd on his back, silently staring at the Village with a dangerous atmosphere around him.

Namiko couldn't help but flicker her gaze upon his way whenever she managed to catch a glimpse of his figure, with the curiosity and interest growing stronger as years passed by.

I'm sorry… but I can't help you without changing anything and my words won't be able to reach you in this life.

Because Namiko isn't a jinchuuriki anymore, her words won't matter because she shouldn't know and understand what he is experiencing.

Somehow, in the following years to come, Namiko couldn't help but always wonder if she is the entire reason why she always finds Gaara in the same spot whenever she walks toward the Hospital.

There is too much coincidence, and the dangerous eyes she always feels behind her doesn't help stop her narcissist thoughts. After all, she had never spoken and even got close enough to Gaara from the moment she was born to her present time, so the young man shouldn't know her.

Or even giving him some form of interest.

Namiko would doubt that he even knows what her name is.

Nonetheless, Namiko couldn't stop the way her heart jumped whenever she felt a terfying gaze on her back, and she knows how hopeless she is becoming.

Danger and threat always made her feel alive, even if she wasn't as active in this life, preferring to help and heal instead of taking the dangerous side of being a ninja. But her nature remain the same, she was just better at controlling and suppressing it.

Should she feel that Gaara is lucky that he didn't meet her when she was all gloomy and dark?

After all, she had given her husband hell in the previous life.

Then months had gone by, and Kenta had finally gotten a bit of power and authority in the Mezu Clan, which meant Namiko was able to know a bit more of the inside of what was happening in the Village.

And if the growing uncomfortable atmosphere in the Village wasn't telling enough, especially when less mission is being given toward them since the Fire Daimyo prioritize more in the Konoha, then Namiko is quite sure that the failed attack will happen even in this world.

So far, everything had been going as planned when it was time for the Chunin exam in Konohagakure with the Sand siblings attending it.

And for the first time, Namiko didn't remain in the dark, and has stepped forward to send Kenta away in the Village gate, being one of the jounin that would also go along with the Sand siblings.

"Don't worry, everything will be fine, Namiko-chan~ I'll count on your promise of cooking one of your delicious curry after I come back home, alright?"

"Yeah, here you go, always take this with you wherever you go."

After bowing respectfully at the Kazekage children, while trying hard to ignore the familiar eyesight on her figure, Namiko gave a safety charm to Kenta, which carried a seal that would only activate when her future Clan head would face a life and death situation.

"Aww~ How adorable. Isn't my favorite cousin such a good girl, Baki?"

Although Kenta is younger in age, only in his twenties, he was already a force to be reckoned with and has people that greatly respect him, in which Namiko had a hand in teaching. Although age doesn't matter as long as a person is capable, powerful and talented in their world.

"I'm already sixteen, not a child."

Namiko allowed Kenta to ruffle her long blonde hair, which is completely different from her fiery red hair in the previous life but brighter than most of the people in the Village have, it's already similar to Naruto hair color too.

After the show of family affection, Namiko took a step forward and gave a quick warm hug to her cousin that had grown on her.

Despite all the plans she already prepared, there is always an unexpected situation that could occur, one could never know what will happen next.

"Take care."

You are also my family now.

"I will."

Don't worry, I won't fail you.

Then in the following weeks, Namiko let out a deep sigh of relief when the news of the failed attack spread in the Village with the news of their Kazekage missing after learning that the Snake-sannin had been acting as the Sand Village Leader a few days later.

Although Namiko shouldn't be feeling grateful at the news of the Third Hokage death by the hands of his student, but, it was a great help in their situation because both Village lost their Leader, saving them more trouble in dealing with the sudden attack.

At least, it was something that could be handled, controlled and managed more than when the Hokage was alive.

Especially when they could also use the excuse that it was the Snake Sannin that had planned it all, pushing the consequences to another person instead of their Village taking the entire blame.

Then it was a busy day treating the injuries of their Village ninjas that manage to come back home from the failed attack, the Hospital is extremely busy while the atmosphere around is heavy from the heavy loss they receive.

And after treating another ninja, Namiko sometimes couldn't help but wish that she still had the same chakra reserve in the previous life as she wiped the sweats on her forehead, especially when it doesn't come back as before.

"Oh, there is my favorite Chief Nurse! Namiko-chan, can you please come with me since I need your help!"

Namiko heads perk up after hearing Kenta's voice, and quickly orders one of the medic nurses making a report on her side to take care of the next patient before rushing over and being guided to one of the special rooms in the Hospital.

"Thank god you work here! I don't know how they can simply ignore a patient, the poor guy!"

After entering the room, Namiko quickly understands what the problem is, obviously no one wanted to treat the injured patient for certain reasons.

In a moment of silence, the conscious Gaara laying in the bed tried to sit up, seemingly wanting to leave the Hospital, probably preferring to be taken care of in his so-called home when no one wanted to take care of him.

"You shouldn't be thinking of leaving with your situation, right? Lay down in bed or I'll tie you up in chains if you refuse to be treated."

"Hahah, Namiko-chan can get scary~"

Ignoring the surprise whistle from Kenta while Namiko would have felt funny at the wonderful expression of Gaara eyes widening in surprise, completely stunned at her threat when she wasn't so angry at him being neglected.

So, Namiko's reddish eyes narrowed dangerously, shooting a hard stare at the medic nurse that is supposed to take care of the patient in the room before snapping at her.

"What are you doing just standing at the side? Don't you see a patient who needs your care and you call yourself a Nurse? What are you even doing working here if you won't even do what you are supposed to do?"

From the look of it, Gaara is in chakra exhaustion, followed by broken bones and severe injuries on his organ, which also needed to be quickly treated since it was a few days of injuries already.

After all, everyone needed to travel despite their injuries and exhaustion after the failed attack in Konoha and only coming back to the Village is when they can finally relax and rest.

"It seemed that I wasn't strict enough and my words had been ignored or forgotten, huh?"

Namiko's lip curled up dangerously as the nurse in the side turned extremely pale, because everyone should know the serious rules in the Hospital that need to be followed. She made sure for everyone to understand that no one should be ignored or neglected from being healed and treated no matter who they are.

After getting more control, power and authority in the Hospital, Namiko made sure her voice would be heard, listened and followed.

When she became a medic, it wouldn't change the fact that she always does her best on what she has chosen to do.

And she wants everyone to be professional in their area of expertise, obviously, it wasn't enough, maybe she was growing soft because someone doesn't treat her order seriously as she thought so.

Ignoring the dumbfounded and stunned people in the room, mostly from the two sand siblings standing in the side from her harsh and dangerous attitude, Namiko started to take care of Gaara injuries, her voice lowering down in a soothing manner.

"Don't worry, everything will be alright. I'll take care of your injuries, before you know it, you are back to perfect condition!"

As Namiko's hand started turning to the familiar green glow, she shot a hard glare to the unresponsive nurse standing in the side one more time with sheer anger.

"Go get me another worker, then get back to work! After everything is over, report to my office!"

"Y-yes, Chief!"

Fortunately, the assistant that soon enters the room only pauses for a few seconds before showing his professional attitude in his job, assisting Namiko with the needed herbs and medicine to take care of the injured Gaara.

As for the disappearance of Kenta, she wasn't surprised to find the man gone, because their long term plans can finally be used.

After all, what is the perfect time to snatch power from the others on making important decisions in the Sand Village when their Kazekage is dead along with some of the more obstinate people?

So, yeah, it's time to finally take firm control of the Village and make sure that it would prosper during their generation instead of being held by people with old grievances clouding their decisions.

However, the main reason that Namiko had planned to take important authority in the Sand Village was to make sure that a certain someone would have an easier time being chosen as their next Kazekage.

She always prefers to be more in control of a situation than just winging about it.

"Gaara-sama, you can finally be discharged after two weeks of rest. For now, please stay and recuperate peacefully, I will make sure that no one would bother you and get the needed respect you deserve while in my care."

Namiko seriously read the clipboard on her hands, which was the written report of the Junchiriki health. Because she had become Gaara's primary medic nurse after taking care of him and no one else wanted to take the patient off her hand.

Well, it's not like she hated it, in fact, she really liked it a lot.

Because she can have Gaara all by herself for a bit longer since in the future there would be a lot of fans and admirers for him to deal with. Well, she couldn't ignore the sudden irritation and the ping of jealousy she suddenly felt in her heart when those thoughts flash in her mind.

… Sigh… I'm really getting interested… meaning I might do something more…

"... Why…"

Hm?

Namiko's reddish eyes turned toward the fourteen years old Gaara when his raspy and bit hoarse voice reached her ears, which was a first since the young man had been quiet, preferring to remain silent whenever her visit checked up.

This is the first time he is speaking toward her.

"You… don't… fear me?"

You don't hate me?

Namiko managed to read the other meaning behind the young man's words, causing her to raise her eyebrows.

Then calmly walking to the chair at the side of the bed and gracefully sitting down with her leg folded under before leaning back to squint her eyes at the obviously confused, wary and anxious young man.

Of course, you are confused for having someone being nice toward you, huh…

Namiko finds Gaara's reaction simply adorable, her sadistic side acting up again.

"Well, there are various types of fear with different reasons and based on what I heard about you, then I figure out what you are trying to asked."

After a few days of observation, Namiko finally sees the glimpse of the person she knows in her memories. So, she wouldn't be hiding or dodging any longer, and would voice out her thoughts without worrying about changing things.

"I'm quite selfish you see, if you are trying to come after my life, of course, there will be a tiny bit of fear since I really want to live a bit longer. And if you are asking if I fear you because of what's inside you, well, I haven't really cared about it. Believe it or not, I don't fear you for being a Junchiriki."

Namiko can finally interact with Gaara, so she might be more chatty than usual, revealing more of how she had been feeling all this time.

"It seems that my words confuse you."

Namiko's lip slowly spreads into a bright smile, leaning over to gently push the young man back in bed before gently raising the blanket a further up on Gaara's chest despite knowing that the young man doesn't sleep at all.

"You know, the only reason why I am able to talk to you like this right now instead of hiding since you tend to lash out and act unpredictable before, but I can see that you are no longer confused and lost regarding your Jinchuriki status."

Namiko couldn't help but point toward Gaara's pretty green eyes as her expression softened and voice gentle.

"At least, something good came from the failed attack in Konoha, someone finally managed to finally smack you in the face, huh? You now have that certain clarity and brightness on your pretty eyes. It's basically telling me that you are finally willing to live a better life, you know?"

Thank you, Naruto, you are always the best.

"Although, I don't know why you and everyone else are bent on Monster stuff since everyone is a monster in their own way, you know? The world is a shitty place to live, there are countless monsters out there, it just depends on what kind they are."

Honestly, it's a Shinobi world with questionable morals and no bottom line.

"I, for one, see myself as one and I don't see any problem with it. Because, I know that someone out there would understand and accept me for who I am. Or it might be because I have never cared about other people's opinions? I just selfishly live the life I wanted."

Namiko secretly appreciates the widening eyes of Gaara once again, before continuing on with a shrug of her shoulder.

"For all it's worth, I'm sure there would be someone that would understand and accept you too. Sometimes, they tend to appear late in your life, so be a bit patient. But, hey! I'm just a medic nin and don't have the heavy baggage you carry, so I understand if you don't believe in me."

Namiko blink her eyes before lightly scratching her cheeks when the silence remains with an extremely awkward atmosphere around the room.

"Will it make you feel better if I told you how I find you adorable, even with the craziness before? Well, I've always been weird, so just ignore my crazy words if I make you uncomfortable."

Namiko let out a soft laugh, feeling weird and awkward inside despite how calm and determined she usually is.

Huh, she didn't expect that small pinkish color in the young man's pale cheeks though, which made him surprisingly more adorable in her eyes.

"See? You look adorable right now. Anyway, it's time for me to go check another patient. I'm glad that you are no longer confused, and feeling lost. Good luck and stay strong. If you ever want to talk to someone, you can come to me anytime you want. I'm quite a good listener, my cousin Kenta would bet on it."

Namiko grins with a playful glint in her reddish eyes before standing up from the chair and leaving the room or else she will have the urge to continue to tease the adorable awkward Gaara laying still in the bed.

The poor guy looked like he needed a break from her crazy and embarrassing talk.

And when she opened the door to see a grinning Kenta leaning in the wall, just at the side where the door is, which is in hearing range, well she wasn't even surprised by it.

Although she felt annoyed for him secretly listening to what was going on inside the room. It was quite personal after all.

"No Curry for you this month."

"I didn't even say anything!"

The following days had been busy, particularly when they finally found the remains of their Kazekage along with the important people who went with him.

Especially when everyone began to fear that no one would be able to control and confront when Gaara lost control this time, causing the heavy and gloomy atmosphere in the Village to spread around.

However, Namiko knows that Gaara wouldn't do it, but no one can see that he is changing for the better, aside from his siblings, Baki and Kenta.

There are also messages coming from Konoha being sent by their Council after the Third Hokage funeral is finished.

Demanding all sorts of explanations and trying to exploit their obviously weak and powerless Village after losing their Kazekage.

In which Namikko had narrowed her eyes when Kenta made the report, because she knew that it was a certain war hawk that was making decisions on his own once again.

With a wave of her, the person hidden in the dark appeared, kneeling on the ground before disappearing after getting the mission thrown his way.

All these years, she had never forgotten the greatest rotten person in the entire Konoha, the person who she loathes the most, and the cause of most disturbance happening around the place, since the old war hawk tends to reach his hands to the other Villages.

Especially when she had greatly learned about Root in the previous life and the seal in their tongue being one of the main reasons why Root had been loyal and faithful toward Danzo aside from brainwashing they received at a young age.

What would happen if the old guy didn't have any idea that some of his useful tools were suddenly taken over by another person?

It will be a great way to spy what the old man is up to.

Completely different from the previous life, despite how Namiko still doesn't like Sunagakure because of its bad weather, it's the place that she wanted to protect. She wanted to make sure the people living on it had a decent and good livelihood.

She had always been territorial.

So, she won't remain quiet when there is an outsider trying to control and cause disturbance inside her Village, especially when there are also those other hidden spies around.

Namiko was quite thankful to still have retained her spiritual form jutsu still since using its eyes, she was still able to see all the hidden seals a person has no matter how complicated and powerful it was.

And sealing is what people tend to use when controlling a person, particularly when they left some mark on their spies around to make sure that they would remain loyal and wouldn't backstab them.

Namiko is grateful to have been a Fuinjutsu in her previous life, it makes everything easier for her.

Of course, Namiko had moved discreetly and meticulously when doing such an act, especially when there is Zetsu and Obito rooming in the dark, fortunately, she is quite familiar with how they work since she was with them in the previous life.

Even if it's an entirely different dimension, Namiko is quite good at working in the darkest part of a human being.

Even if she had mellowed down, changing to a more sane and good temper after the fourth shinobi war, especially in her different new life, it doesn't change the fact that she was quite good at being the bad guy.

So, the following days, Namiko is busy causing trouble to the dark war hawk in Konohagakure for him to focus his entire attention toward her Village.

At least, until Tsunade would become the next Hokage, since the old man would be busy hiding the existence of Root while keeping a low profile until the right time to make his move.

… Huh, maybe she should do something when Pain attacks Konoha, because after Tsuna is incapatated, Danzo almost become the next Hokage.

Because of the Invading the Suna had done, there are countless troubles and difficulties their Village had to face, which is greatly affecting their livelihood since the mission had lessened than before.

Which was the complete opposite of what their Village wanted when they decided to attack Konoha, fortunately she was already prepared for it.

Being hunting missing nin with a huge amount of bounty hunters on it was being one of them, it will also help with building the Suna ninja a reputation, and showing that they are still strong despite losing their Kazekage and some of their powerful ninjas.

However, what Namiko didn't plan was from the sudden visit of her lovely cousin, who suddenly appeared and asked her to become a medic assistant on an important mission outside the Village that needed to be completed.

After all, aside from Kenta being one of the leading powers in their shinobi rank in the Village, his father had also become the power figure in the Council after pulling their elder down for all the failure he made.

Of course, their elder was also threatened with evidence of all the wrong doing he had been doing behind. So either retire or be put into trial and imprisoned, any smart person knows what to choose.

And here, Namiko assumed that she could have more free time for a bit longer, away from plotting and scheming in the dark but it seemed that she had been wrong based on that cheeky grin in Kenta's face just asking to be violently punched.

"Pray tell why did you recommend me for a mission?"

Although she didn't have the same enormous chakra, the bloodline ability and the kyuubi in her new life didn't mean that she was weak.

Namiko didn't forget what kind of world she was living, so she trained, albeit different in order to suit her new identity, but she isn't someone that anyone can just ignore or underestimate, which she had proven with one of her many violent patients.

Although, it was the knowledge of sealing jutsu being the main factor of how she fights with only few people knowing about it.

Besides, there are countless fighting styles that can make a person terrifying as long as a person knows how to skilfully use it.

"Well, based on the countless plans you thought of in order to help our Village from being underestimated and taken advantage of, we decided to add a skilled medic in the team that would be sent into the important mission."

Kenta grins while sitting down in the opposite chair which his favorite and terrifying cousin is sitting on during one of her day off

"It's for safety measure, you know how we can't lose even a single capable ninja after the failed attack."

"There are other skilled medic beside me."

Kenta rolls his eyes since he knows that despite how busy, and a terrifying schemer his cousin is, she could get lazy once in a while, preferring to just sit in a comfortable chair and dazed in the air for hours if she could.

"Well, yeah, but everyone of them refused while recommending you saying, 'Our Chief Mezu-san is the most suited for the mission!', after they learn which team they are going to be with."

Kenta rolled his eyes again after the slight perk motion his cousin did after quickly figuring out why most of the medic in the list backed out from the team. Honestly, he doesn't know how his favorite cousin had always been interested in the terrifying jinchuuriki, which was before the young man changed for the better too.

Yes, interested, he can clearly see it.

Oh, it's not like everyone in the village all loathes the Kazekage youngest son, fear yes because there is a reason why he is dangerous, but there are still people who understand that the Biju was sealed inside a person, instead of the person being the Biju itself.

"... Namiko-chan, your taste sure is weird… but as my favorite cousin, I'll definitely cheer you on."

"Taste?"

Namiko raises her eyebrow before catching the mission scroll that her cousin threw her way and begins to read it.

"You don't understand, even without the Biju, Gaara is powerful in his own way. The great potential is there, but no one has taken care to properly teach the kid. Didn't I tell you before? He will be powerful and a good Kazekage in the future now that he has changed. He will become our Greatest Protector."

Just as he had done in my previous life.

"Change, huh… yes, I can see that he changed after the attack in Konoha. And having a powerful jinchuriki to protect us is definitely comforting despite how unbelievable it sounds."

Kenta sighs when he remembers how the young man had become sane and even tried to reach out to the Village, which he couldn't help but feel surprised whenever he remembered it. As always, his cousin is extremely sharp from seeing something they couldn't.

"Anyway, the only reason why I even bothered and didn't remain skeptical with all of this is because I have always believed in you."

You already showed it the past few years, especially when everything you have done so far is for the sake of our Village.

He felt thankful that Namiko was born into their family, she is simply an impressive and terrifying person… more terrifying though. He would never want her for an enemy, after all, he wouldn't even know how he died if they are against each other.

"So, I guess you will accept the mission, right?"

"Well, it's the first time I'm going out for a mission. It will be interesting to change pace once in a while."

I think it's time to move my body around or else my instinct will go rusty.

Besides, it has been a while since I saw him. The offer of free talk anytime he wanted seemed to have been rejected, making her feel bad.

"Yeah… I'll believe that reason…"

Kenta rolled his eyes one again before reaching out and taking one of the pastries on the table, something his cousin definitely made. At least, his cousin has a qualifying side as a wife if she ever get married.

"I'm sure that you already know my cousin, but just in case you have forgotten, this is Mezu Namiko, one of the Chief Nurses in the Hospital. Although she had been mostly designated in the Hospital, but her skill and talent is extremely well-known. So you don't need to worry. There is a reason why the Council recommended her for the mission."

Namiko smiled brightly toward the Suna siblings that had been mostly given the most dangerous mission for the next few months while dressed in a long sleeve loose black Kimono with blue short pants with red sash tightly wrapped on her waist.

She is also wearing black leggings all the way to her thigh while wearing long boots up to her calves instead of those open toe sandals, and fingerless gloves on both hands.

As for her long blonde hair, it was all braided and placed over her shoulder, with the Sunagakure hitai-ate around her forehead, it's a good protector in that area after all.

There is a similar pouch on the side of her waist, with tanto strapped on her back in case she needed to fight enemies. As for the medical tools, needed medicine and other necessary items while out on the mission, well, it was placed inside a sealed storage, easier to carry around.

As for the reason, the council decided that it was important for the deceased Kazekage children to be sent on the mission because they needed to grow into a powerful shinobi, earning reputations for the Village sake.

Of course, the main reason is that they will also need to see if one of them has the potential to become the next Kazekage, so it's also part of the training.

"I see. If she is recommended for the mission, then I can accept it, especially when it's from the Elders."

Temari, the oldest of the sand siblings, nodded her head, although Namiko didn't miss the flash of skepticism and doubt in her eyes along with suspicion. Well, it might be because Namiko shouldn't have been smiling brightly with innocent and harmless air around her.

"Hm, just don't get in the way."

Namiko didn't bat an eye on the second oldest in the sand siblings as Kankuru openly showed how much he trusted the medic nin before him. There might also be a bit of bias about female shinobi, which was honestly funny since his sister is powerful in her own way.

At least, she once saw how Temari beat her second brother up after making her angry.

Nonetheless, Namiko remains smiling while ignoring the snickering Kenta in the side while whispering 'you have no idea' and 'poor kids who don't know what they are getting at'.

She is more focused on the auburn haired young man silently standing a bit farther away on his two siblings, which told her that they aren't still as close yet and still trying, then, she met the young man's impassive green eyes which caused her smile to become more genuine.

Ignoring the stun and shock brother and sister in the side, Namiko took a few steps forward.

She never showed any fear in her face as she got closer without any hesitation to the young man that is still feared as a Monster in the Village despite having not killed a single person after coming back from the failed attack.

"Gaara-sama, I'm glad you are doing alright after the last time I saw you. I'm really happy to have been in the same team with you for my first mission. Please take care of me."

Namiko raises her hand for a handshake, patiently waiting as the shocked young man remains still and silent, completely stunned at her friendly attitude toward him. Even after a minute of stunned silence with everyone watching them, her raised hand never waver and lower down.

After a while, the young man has finally made his move, tentatively and slowly grasping her offer hand over his, which causes her smile to brighten more than ever. Anyone can see how she is basically beaming with utter happiness, which horrified them of how she is acting.

"... Please, take care… of me too…"

"Don't worry, you can count on me! I will definitely make sure you are healthy and well in the entire mission!"

"..."

Namiko almost wanted to add the Naruto catchphrase at the end of her sentence, though, she openly eyed the young man with great interest when the pale cheeks once again showed a hint of pink despite trying to act calm.

"Well damn, that chick got balls… Or just an idiot."

Kankuro whispers in shock, while Temari is busy switching her gaze between her (horror) blushing young brother or the smiling young woman with wide eyes because she knows a fangirl when she see one.

It's been a while since I read Naruto, and I have never read when they are grown up with children, so all the information I have is from what I remember and from all the fanfictions I had read.
