Hi all again gang! I haven't written anything in 8 years and needed to get something down while I thought of it. I need to find my flow again if I'm going to write more.

Happy writing :)

Tony wasn't even sure why he was there. He didn't feel like going to a party, but it would get him out of the house and he needed distraction. He had been there half an hour and found himself in a group of guys talking about the racing. It was a safe spot for him to stay and a conversation he could kind of follow, he watched racing, and even participated in it sometimes.

The front door opened and all of their eyes drifted over at the movement to see who was next walking into the house. A flash of that hair and he knew it was her. Pepper breezed in and scanned the room as she fiddled to undo her coat buttons, she spotted him straight away. They could have been the only ones in the room at that moment.

She smiled, he smiled.

A familiar face made a beeline to greet Pepper and the moment was interrupted. Tony's breath caught in his throat. She always made his stomach flutter, especially since the other night. He should have thought about it really, of course she'd be there. They were a package deal, their lives had been completely entwined for years.

However, approximately 53 hours ago, they had slept together, on the floor of the living room.

He had no idea how they would be after. If they would be the same Tony and Pepper still, or a new version, but there's no chance he could have stopped himself in that moment.

God knows how it started, she had probably been giving him another lecture, but before he knew it, his mouth was on hers. His hands were working on her dress zipper and pushing the shoulders from her so that it would slide down her figure to the floor. He went to undo his buckle, but her hands stopped him. She took over and started to undress him. It was like it was all in slow motion when Tony replayed it in his head.

He remembered not wanting to break the spell that they were both under and laid her down onto the soft, cream Teddy rug on the floor. He lowered himself with her body and made sure they stayed glued to one another whilst they explored every inch of each other. Muscles flexing and breath quickening. It wasn't just sex, but it wasn't making love. It was a decade of mixed emotions releasing at once, combined with the fact they were just two consenting adults who couldn't deny their attraction to each other any longer. They were completely in sync and they made a perfect partnership, making it one of the most pleasurable experiences for both.

It was over well before either would have liked it to be and that was it. She went home and he went to sleep and they haven't talked since.

He didn't know what he was meant to say, obviously he wanted to talk to her. And he wanted to do it again, and again, and again. But she just left. Was she annoyed at herself? At him? Was she upset? Embarrassed?

It was another 13 hours since he made a back door exit to the party and another weekday morning. He knew she was in the house, the trademark click of her heels and the smell of the fresh coffee. They still hadn't had any communication, about that event or anything else for that matter. He decided that it was time to face the music and head up.

"Morning Pepper" she was in the kitchen, staring into space in a daydream and stirring milk into a coffee. She jumped lightly to the sound of his voice and sudden appearance.

He leant against the kitchen island and was out of ideas on what to say next so he just waited for her cue.

"Ah," she started "so you can still talk" she said with a smirk ghosting on her lips.

He smiled back.

"I thought you'd lost that power when you pulled the disappearing act last night and I couldn't find you."

"I know, I'm sorry, I wasn't really sure where we stood and what I should say."

She sighed, "I know, I don't think I was very sure either. It's not every day that you have sex like that and have to still see the person."

Their look held in that moment, the memory of the other night returning to the forefront of their minds again. He thanked his lucky stars that she wasn't shutting him off and was being open about it. It wouldn't be the lost chapter in their story.

"You did pull your own little disappearing act on me straight after so surely I get a free pass for that one?" He laughed and shifted on his feet, "I just didn't want to say the wrong thing."

She thought for a minute and kept stirring her coffee, "maybe nothing needs saying?"

She doesn't know how it started, but before she knew it, her mouth was back on his. Muscle memory from the other night kicked in and his hands reached up to take her head and find the right angle for their kiss. He was light and his hands were ghosting her skin as they slid down her arms and found her hands. She gripped his and pulled him so that he was flush against her now and encouraged his arms to circle her.

Another day, another unbreakable spell for the pair as they started their second round at this dance. Pepper didn't think she could go back to normal and forget how Tony tasted after the other night. He was completely intoxicating and all of her senses were now heightened to him. How was she meant to know what to say to him after? She needed to just get away from him and clear her mind and figure out whether they both just needed to give in for one night, or whether it was more.

She saw him at the party and fully intended on going to see him to figure that our together, but he was gone before she had even got her first drink. And now they were back in another moment together, in the kitchen, up against the island.

They were both half way undressed and on their way by the time her mind returned to the present. They had both lost their tops and her skirt was pooling at her feet. Tony turned her around and encouraged her to bend over the counter ever so slightly so that he could ease himself in. They both shuddered and stilled for a split second, until he started moving inside her. She stood herself back so that their bodies could be touching again and he could reach around and feel every inch of her. His hands soft and warm to touch as they caressed her. She reached a hand behind and tugged at his hair to bring him even closer, while he buried his face into her hair and let out a low growl.

She had no idea how they would be after this, there's no chance she could have stopped herself in that moment. But safe to say, Tony and Pepper as they knew had changed forever.
