Here's another story based on an RP my friend, Park Ryder and I did.
Enjoy!
I don't own Hazbin Hotel.
I don't own Sonya, Zella, or Azarel. They belong to Park Ryder.
I own Pattie and Gina. They're my OCs.
It was night time at Hell and Sonya and Charlie was getting ready for the slumber party they planned at the Hotel.
"Man I never had a slumber party before." said Sonya as she got the lobby cleaned up, "I'm a little nervous."
"Don't worry, it'll be fun." Charlie budget her little cousin, "Plus Gina and Pattie are coming over too!"
"Oh yeah! And I hope you don't mind me inviting Rimfire too."
"That's fine and I'm sure the girls will like her too."
"She'd better not try to kill Fat Nuggets!" Angel said as he came down the stairs with his piggy following right behind.
Sonya held her hands up, "Relax Angel, she won't touch him."
"She'd better not."
"We promise." Charlie added.
"And you better not bother them Angel!" yelled Vaggie as she appeared from the kitchen.
"Aw come on, when have I ever bothered the girls?" The porn star crossed his arms and rolled his eyes.
"You practically bother everybody you meet." she glared at him.
"He can stay with us if he wants to."
said Sonya to call everyone.
Angel stuck his tongue out at Vaggie and even flipped her off with two of his fingers.
Vaggie growls and muttered curses under her breath, "You're such an asshole! Let alone a bratty man child!"
"Easy Guys, the girls will be here soon." Charlie calmed everyone after stepping between them, "For now, we need to set everything up like the snacks and stuff."
"Uh what do mortals like anyway?" Angel leaned against the table.
"You know, Regular stuff." Sonya stepped into the kitchen, "Popcorn, chips, cookies, sodas. Junk food kids usually like."
"Basically the stuff we like eating that isn't so hell like-" Vaggie started to say.
"Disgusting?" Angel interrupted.
"Yes."
"Beside we don't know how our food could effect their stomachs." added Charlie.
"But they ate here a couple times and nothing bad happened."
"Yeah that's true."
They set up the snacks, and took out some movies, and other things to make the sleepover look nice; Angel even lent out some of his soft blankets and pillows so everyone would be comfortable.
Then they heard the door knocking which meant their guests have arrived.
"I'll get it!"
Sonya goes to the door, opens it, and there stood Gina and Pattie with their sleeping bags and backpacks.
"Hi girls!" she greeted.
"Hi Sonya!" the two mortals greeted back.
All three girls hug each other; and even Liz came out in shadow form and waved hi to her friends.
"Hi Liz!" Gina waved back.
"What up, shadow girl?" Pattie gave a peace sign to her.
Liz chuckled and did the same when Gina saw Angel come up behind Sonya.
"Hi Angel!" She smiled.
"Hey, there she is!" Angel picks up Gina and kisses her on the cheeks.
Gina giggled as she hugged her friend, "It's nice to see you again!"
"Awww, I always love seeing you too, honey bear!" Angel hugged her close.
"Man this slumber party will be great!" Pattie said as they all went into the lobby, "So what made you decide to do this?"
"Well I felt like the next step to the friend thing is stuff like a slumber party." answered Sonya we she helped them with their bags.
"Yeah and thanks for inviting us, Sonya!" Gina said as Angel sets her down, I've been to some before and they're fun."
"Me too!" added Pattie.
Charlie - Well I think you guys will love this one." Charlie smiled as she welcomed the girls, "We guarantee it."
"And you get to make another friend." added Sonya.
"Another friend? Who's that?" asked Pattie.
"She's actually the first friend I ever made here in the city." Then they heard the door knock again, "Oh! That must be her now!"
Sonya opened the door and there was Rimfire; she was a fox/cat demon girl who has short purple hair with bangs covering her right eye, and wears a sort of camouflage outfit.
Rimfire smiled at her friend and said, "Sup Sonya?"
"Rimfire!" Sonya grinned happily as she hugged her friend, "Perfect timing! Everyone's here!"
"Thanks." The young demon went inside, "Can't believe there are actual mortals in Hell. Been a while since I been one."
"They've been here a few times now. I can't wait for you to meet them." She turned to her two mortal friends, "Gina, Pattie, this is my best friend, besides Liz and Cousin Charlie, Rimfire Bloodsworth."
"Hi." she waved.
"Hey." Pattie greeted.
"Nice to meet you." Gina offered her a handshake
"Nice to meet you too." She did the same and shook her hand.
"So how long have you and Sonya been friends?"
"Since I first came to Hell. Which was a few months ago." Rimfire answered as she set her stuff down.
Pattie grabbed a soda for her and Gina from the table before turning to Rimfire, "So, how'd you end up here?"
"My family and I are poachers." she answered casually.
Both girls did a spit take and coughed a little before looking at the demon girl like a barbarian.
"Poachers?! You're joking!"
"I'm sorry but no."
Gina felt herself step back and she shook a little, "Y-You actually poach animals?"
"Not only that but I even-" Rimfire began before being interrupted.
Thinking quickly, Sonya pulled Rimfire close and whispered in her ear, "It's better you don't mention you kill animals. These two are HUGE poacher haters especially Gina. It would break her sweet little heart if you mentioned that you kill them, especially since she really loves animals and all."
"Oh sorry." She whispered back before turning to the mortal girls again, "All my family did was just capture and sell animals. Even the very rare kind."
Pattie narrowed her eyes, "Really?"
"Yep."
"Well at least you didn't kill them." Gina sighed in relief.
"Uh yeah." Rimfire gave an awkward smile and rubbed the back of her head.
Pattie gave her a suspicious glare but didn't press further as to not ruin the sleepover; then they heard oinks and saw Fat Nuggets who climbed up on the table and started to eat some of the popcorn from the bowl.
"Aw so cute!" Gina squeaked in delight.
Rimfire saw Fat Nuggets but Angel glared back at her with a "Don't you even think about it!" look. Rimfire gave an affirmed nod and took a step back as he picked up the little piggy.
"Awww looks like somebody wanted to join the party!" Angel nuzzled his cheeks.
"Hi cutie!"
Fat Nuggets comes up to gina started licking her face as she hugs him.
"Hey, that tickles!" Gina giggles.
"Aw, he just loves it when you visit, sweetie." Angel petted her hair, "He really like ya, you know."
"Who wouldn't like Gina?" Pattie wrapped her arm around her friends shoulder, "She's one of the sweetest girls I know."
Gina smiled as she sat down near the snack table and held Fat nuggets in her lap; she grabbed a handful of popcorn and gave some to the hungry piggy.
"Yep, just like Cousin Charlie." Sonya smile at her cousin, "That's she's my favorite cousin."
"Aww Thanks." Charlie nuzzled Sonya, "And I think you meant your only cousin now."
"Really? You don't have other cousins?" asked Rimfire as she scarfed down some chips.
"Well technically I do but I recently disowned them."
"Really? Why?"
Charlie explained what happened at a party she and her family went to and how one of the cousins almost locked up Sonya in a crystal cage; everyone was shocked and disgusted after Charlie finished.
"Oh my god that's horrible!" Gina was horrified and nearly felt sick, "How can they do that to a family member?"
"Because of who I am. I'm considered the black sheep of the family." Sonya looked down as Liz came out in shadow form looking ashamed, lAw come on Liz, it's okay. Charlie fixed us, didn't she?" Liz gave a sad smile and nodded.
"Fixed you? What do you mean?" asked Pattie.
"Well you see..." Charlie began.
(Flashback)
Lucifer, Lilith, and even Charlie was getting ready to go to their relatives house for a visit with his younger brother, Azarel, his wife Zella, and their six year old daughter, Sonya in an area close to their home.
"Been a while since I saw my youngest cousin." said Charlie as she put on her shoes.
Lilith looked at her husband and smiled, "I'm so glad your brother let us come visit his family, dear."
"Yes it have been a while due to our jobs." Lucifer nodded with a small sigh, "He said that he needed help with his daughter."
Charlie turned to her dad and looked confused, "Really? What's wrong with her?"
"She's been having some behavior problems lately and Azarel said that he needs our help. I just hope everything is okay." He added with concern.
"Me too." said Charlie as her mother nodded.
They drove to Azarel's house and once they arrived, Lucifer knocked on the door and it opened moments later where his older brother, Azarel, stood with a smile.
"Big brother!" he greeted.
"Hey little brother!" Azarel hugged him, "Glad you all could come."
They both hug for a while and they all went inside the house where Zella was making some refreshments in the kitchen.
"It's been a while since we saw you and Aunt Zella, Uncle Azarel." Charlie embraced her relatives warmly.
"I couldn't agree more, honey." Hugged his niece and looked at her, "Just look how you've grown since your last visit."
"Thanks." Charlie chuckled before she looks around, "So, uh, where's my baby cousin?"
Zella only sighed sadly, "She's in her room with her heart full of gloom."
"What do you mean, Aunt Zella?"
"It's this...thing she has." Azarel ran a hand through his heard, "Ever since she was about three years of age, she changes into...somebody else when she pricks her finger."
"Yes." Zella placed a hand on her husbands shoulder, "At first she would be wild, but then a pet on the head and hug at the same time, it would turn her back into a calm child."
The others stare at them in shock; no one had expected this to happen to the youngest member of their family.
"Are you serious?" asked Lucifer in disbelief.
Azarel nodded to his brother, "We are. We tried calling our other siblings and cousins for help but no luck."
"And her bonding with the cousins is tough since that other side will come out and play with them very rough." added Zella.
"And now none of them will play with her or even talk to her. Now don't get me wrong, I love our daughter but this other half of her is getting out of hand."
"It is true. The other relatives are mean to her along with not solving a clue. And recently she just stay in her room all day. We try to get her out but she wants to stay and that other half of her isn't going away."
"Is that's why you called us over?" asked Charlie.
Azarel nodded and said, "We were hoping you can help Sonya with her problem."
As the parents was talking, Charlie noticed little Sonya by the stair banisters. When Charlie saw her, little Sonya got scared and ran off back to her room and shut the door.
"Uh is it okay if I go up and talk to her?" asked Charlie.
Azarel sighed and gave his approval, "Alright but please be careful, dear."
"I promise, uncle."
She goes upstairs, heads to Sonya's room, and knocked on the door, "Hello? Hello? Sonya are you know there? I'm Charlie, another one of your cousins."
"What do you want?" Sonya answered bluntly.
"I just wanted to see you-"
"No! Just go away!" She yelled.
"What? But why?"
"I know what you'll say! You're just like the others!"
"Come on, just let me in. I want to help you." the princess spike softly, "I mean we've known each other since we were kids."
"That's what they all say but they are liars!" Sonya hissed bitterly, "And besides, I was too young to even know you! I haven't seen you since I was two and I'm six years old now."
Charlie couldn't deny the guilt in that's statement, "I've just been really busy. I am the princess of Hell after all and have royal duties."
"Just leave me alone..."
Charlie sighed again it remained vigilant to help her cousin, "Come on. I know you had bad experiences but I really want to help you. You're family and families help each other out. I'm not like the others. You can trust me. Please I just wanna help."
Giving the matter into deep through, Sonya decided that maybe a Charlie isn't as bad as the others were
"Okay...come in..."
Charlie opened the door and saw Sonya hiding under her bed with her little feet sticking out; she remembered doing the same kind of thing when she was a little girl. She knelt down and looked under the bed to see her sulking young cousin, "Can I join you under there?"
"...sure."
Charlie went under the bed with her and saw a little Sonya with down pigtail and wearing a red t-shirt and overalls; but instead of seeing her happy, Sonya only looked sad and scared.
"So, you must be Sonya." Charlie said as an introduction.
"Yeah...you're Charlie, right?" she asked quietly.
"Right."
"Why are you here?"
"Like I mention a moment ago, I wanted to help you with your problem." She explained softly.
Sonya turned to her side, "I don't think you can. Not even my mom and dad can help me now..."
Charlie looked over and asked, "Well what is this problem that you are having?"
"...if I show you will think I'm a crazy person."
"Of course not!" The older girl shook her head, "Why would I think that?"
"Because I have this other person that make me do bad things... The only way I can let her out is if I...prick myself." Sonya cringed when she mentioned that last part.
"Really? Let me see her?" Charlie sat up a little, "I can go find something pointy-"
"Please no." Sonya grabbed her hand, "She's too wild!"
"Why not?"
"Trust me, you don't want to know."
"Look Sonya you need to be brave and try to trust me." Charlie explained calmly, "How can I help you if I can't see the problem?"
Sonya felt scared but knew her cousin was right and needed someone to help her, "O-Okay...I trust you."
After they both get out from under the bed, Charlie finds a pin from the bathroom and waited for her cousin to calm herself before getting ready to bring the wild one out.
"Ready?" She asked calmly.
Sonya sighs and nodded, "Yes...I am."
"Don't worry, I'm here to help should anything go wrong." Charlie gave a warm smile and patted her head.
Taking a deep breath, Sonya takes the pin and pricks her finger; a few seconds later, out comes Liz for the very first time.
She had the same clothes as Sonya but her hair was a short bob while looking like it exploded.
"BADA Boom! Hey there!" Liz announced loudly.
Charlie took a step back and was surprised to see her cousin like this, "Whoa! Why h-hello!"
"Who are you?!" Liz said in a defensive stance, "One of those awful cousins?"
"What? Awful?l" Charlie shook her head confusion, "You remember, my name is Charlie. Are you okay, Sonya?"
Liz looked at her funny and said, "Sonya? Name's Liz."
"Oh uhh it's nice to meet you, Liz." Charlie felt the whole thing a little strange but she remained vigilant and wanted to help her young cousin, "So how are you? I heard a lot about you."
Liz didn't fully trust the princess and remained on the defensive, "You didn't come here to put me in a crystal cage again, did you?!"
"What? Why would I wanna do that to my baby cousin?" she asked in shock.
"Our so called "family" tried to do that to me before! My awful cousins tried to lock me up!" Liz went on and explained what happened.
Charlie was horrified and felt herself tear up, "What?! That's horrible! That's awful that they tried to do that to you!"
Liz is at a loss for words for a moment and couldn't believe someone in her family actually sympathies with her, "What did you...I-I don't know to say...you agree with me?"
"Well I, for one, don't think locking you away won't work. It just creates more sadness for the family and it'll destroy you on the inside." She said sincerely.
"Why are you being so nice? How do I know you're telling the truth?"
"Because you're my baby cousin and I just want to help you with whatever the problem is."
"Really? But how can you help me?"
"Well for starters, I've been hearing how rough you are with others when you play.
Liz started to smile, "Well yeah! I mean it's fun! Look!"
Suddenly, Liz pounced on Charlie and began to roughly play with her; She pulled her hair, was clinging on to jet and even bit her a couple times like an excited puppy. Charlie, however, was less than amused and pried Liz off of her and gently sets her down.
"Whoa easy! That's enough!" She said firmly.
"Why?" the wild girl stared in surprise.
"Because that's not very nice. Do you know what being nice is?"
Liz opened her mouth but didn't say anything cause the question stumped her, "I...can't say that I have. I mean...I just thought I was playing like I normally do..."
Charlie took a deep breath so she didn't get angry at her cousin, "I know but some others can't play rough like that. You could really hurt them so you gotta learn to play more gentle and carefully with other kids."
Sonya in shadow form look surprised as she looked at the other girl using her body; Liz never played well with others and preferred playing more like an excited animal than a normal kid. This fact took her completely by surprise.
"I...never knew that..." Liz looked down and rubbed her head in regret, "I-I'm sorry...I didn't know you actually had to be careful when playing. A-And I don't like it when people think I'm sick or crazy but I'm not! At least...I think I'm not..."
Charlie felt a little bad for scolding her cousin and tried to reason with her again, "Aww it's okay. You're not sick, you're just an excited child. You just need someone to help you is all."
Sonya came out in shadow form and nodded in agreement, "Do you think I played roughly with you too when you sleep and I see you in the mind?"
Sonya only nods again, "Oh I'm sorry I just wanted to play with you. And I'm sick of being in that cage whenever we switch places."
"Cage?" asked a concerned Charlie, "What do you mean by cage?"
"Whenever Sonya and I switch places, one of us would have to stay in a cage and I don't like it." Liz explained in a sad voice.
The Princess of Hell had no idea her little cousin suffered so much; and now that there are two girls sharing the same body, it makes it ten times sadder.
"Awwww, you poor things. I had no idea you were suffering so much." Then Charlie got an idea that could help, "Hey, you both shade the same mind. Why don't you just change how you live in it?"
"Change it?"
"Yeah!" She nodded enthusiastically, "It doesn't even have to be a cage. It could be something like a house, a playroom, or even a castle if you want."
Liz looked the idea and began to smile again., "I didn't think of it like that!" She turned to Sonya, "How about it? Wanna give it a try?"
Sonya nodded excitedly and nearly jumped in joy.
"Okay!"
She closed her eyes and inside the mind, she saw Sonya changing the cage into a house. She looked at Sonya and the house happily as the outside look like a purple house with blue roof; inside there rooms like the playroom, bathroom, memory room, garden, gym, and an elevator.
"Wow!" She said as her eyes grew wide, "You did great!"
"Thanks a lot!"
"Hey Sonya?" Liz asked, "I'm sorry for making your life hard. I just wanted to play and be part of the family...and I don't know if I'm even real or just...a disease like those other assholes say I am..."
Sonya felt sorry for her and wrapped an arm around Liz's shoulders, "No you're not cause you're very real to me. And it's okay, I know you just wanted to fit in."
"Thanks..." she smiled but faded again, "You think Princess knows? "
"Well let's go ask her then."
"...alright."
Liz opens her eyes again and looks up at Charlie with regretful eyes, "Hey Charlie?" She asked nervously, "Do you think I'm real?"
"Well we are talking to each other, right?" Charlie answered.
"Yeah. But some people think I'm just Sonya with a mental illness..."
Charlie places her hand on her shoulder and said, "Well, I see you as one of two people: Sonya or Liz. Maybe there's a good reason for that."
Then, Charlie saw Sonya had some books on her shelf and even in boxes and she began to look through them. Liz walked up and saw a dusty book; he blew on it and saw a book that said Zodiac and Other Conditions.
"What's this?"
"It's about a very rare condition even in Hell." She said as Liz handed her the book, "Let's check it out."
They opened the book and read different stuff about rare conditions; Charlie flipped a few pages until saw a one that said Gemini.
"Gemini?" Liz wondered.
"Yes. Apparently it's very rare and you seem to be one of the very few that have it."
Liz felt a little surprised at this and looked at herself in the mirror, "So...I'm not sick? Or crazy? Not at all?"
"Of course not!" Charlie stood behind her and looked in the mirror with her, "You just got something that is rare and beautiful."
"Rare and beautiful?" Liz felt a little taken back and looked down at her feet again, "No one has ever said that to me before..."
"What? What do you mean?"
"They would call me a freak or a monster...or someone diseased..."
"Who would say that?"
Liz hesitated to answer for a moment but decided to tell her, "...our family."
"What?!"
"Not mom and dad of course but the other cousins..." she pointed out sadly, "I'm the forever black sheep now..."
"What?!" The eyes of the princess grew wide, "That's ridiculous! You're not a black sheep! You're a little girl sharing another girls body and thats all! "
"But they told me-"
Charlie held her hand up and shook her head, "No family should ever treat others badly just because they are different."
"You really mean that?" Liz felt her heart swell and her eyes water.
"Of course I do." Charlie said lovingly.
Liz had tears in her eyes and hugged Charlie, who hugged her back in return; at the same time, Charlie even pets her head and it change from Liz to Sonya, who was still crying and hugging Charlie. Unknowing to them their parents witness the whole thing, all with tearful smiles on their faces.
"Thats my girl." Lucifer whispered proudly
"I'm so happy our daughter isn't sick or cursed." Azarel sighed with relief, "And I'm amazed we actually have two daughters now.
"We thought our daughter was being punished for a crime, but it turns out she just had a twin all this time. We owe your daughter for all of her help." Zella thanked her sister in law.
"Well we did raise her right." Lilith said happily.
Charlie looks to and sees everyone but only smiles without saying a word as she hugged her cousin for a while longer; later everyone got to meet Liz, who apologized for her actions but everyone forgave her and knew she never meant any real harm.
So the next day Charlie and her parents decided to stay over for a few days so the girls could hang out a bit longer. Sonya and Liz were especially happy and followed Charlie everywhere except the bathroom; they would both help Charlie around with stuff and chat nonstop about things.
"It's so sweet isn't it?" said Lilith as she held a wine glass in her hand.
"Yes, she's like a little duckling." Azarel said before taking a drink.
Charlie then stopped and Sonya bump into her; the older girl couldn't help but squeal happily and hug her.
Ooh! I love you! You are just so cute! I love you, Baby Duck!" Charlie hugs her cousin close.
Sonya looked away and blushed in embarrassment, "Ooh…I'm sorry."
"No no it's fine!" Shes shook her head, "I don't mind at all. I think it's cute, little ducky!"
"Then you mind me…Getting you!"Sonya gave a mischievous smirk before she started to chase her cousin.
Charlie stuck her tongue out and shouted, "Come catch me then, baby cousin!"
Sonya began to chase her and had an amazing time as their parents watched in amusement.
(Flashback ends)
Back in the present, Charlie has finished up her story and a lot of her friends were either surprised, speechless, or about to cry.
"What a happy ending." Gina teared up as Angel held her in his lap, "That was such a cute story, Charlie."
Angel smiled as he took a handkerchief and wiped away the tears from his friends eyes.
Sonya nodded and added, "Yeah. Because of Charlie helping us, Liz and I realized that we are real and just have a rare condition, not a mental illness."
"And That how we became closer than ever." Charlie gave her cousin a one-armed hug.
"And that'll never change." Sonya Hughes her back.
"That is so cool!" Pattie lightly slugged her friends arm, "And Liz is totally awesome!"
Liz gives her two thumbs up.
"You know Charlie…" she gently pulled away, "You haven't called me Baby Duck in a long time."
Charlie felt her smile fade just a little when she realized that, "Oh…Well...I figured that since you and Liz are older, you didn't want to hear a childish nickname like that anymore..."
Sonya shook her head in disbelief, "What?! Cousin Charlie don't be silly; Liz and I don't care if we are 16, 20, 35 or even 100. We love any nickname you gave us."
"I'm glad because you will always be my baby Duck."
"Thanks cousin Charlie."
For the rest of the day, Sonya hung out with Charlie and their friends; like at any sleepover they are junk food, watched movies, talked about stuff, and eventually they went to bed.
Angel checked on Gina and let Fat Nuggets sleep beside her while Charlie checked on her cousin, as well as the others. They left making sure the girls were alright and happy their relationships are stronger than ever.
(The End)
