Chapter 1

Stanford finds a little girl.

It's a sunny day in Kyoto Japan and Takeho Ishiyama is feeling the pressure. Three months ago his wife Akiko found out that she's pregnant again. They already have a child. Four year old Yumi is their first born. Takeho is feeling the pressure because he's not sure. With his current job if he can afford two kids. Yumi wants to go to the park to play. Akiko wants to go lay down for a nap. So Takeho said "Honey go lay down and take a nap. I'll take Yumi to the park." Takeho got Yumi and they headed to the park. He and Yumi drove to the park then got out of the car. They walked into the park and Takeho let Yumi go play.

He let Yumi play for an hour and Takeho stood and said "Come on Yumi let's go for a walk." Yumi smiled and said "Ok Daddy." She ran up to Takeho and grabbed his hand. As he and Yumi walked. All kinds of thoughts are running through his head. Soon he and Yumi are deeper into the park. Not many people are around. Just then Takeho saw a natural occurring portal open up between two trees. Seeing this as a sign Takeho picked up Yumi. He walked toward the portal until he was just a few feet away. Yumi squirmed ans asked "Daddy what are you doing?" Takeho used his strength and tossed and Yumi into the portal and she disappeared. The portal then also disappeared. Takeho made his way to his car and went home.

When he got back home he saw that Akiko is up and around. Her eyes went wide when she didn't see Yumi with Takeho. The man looked at his wife and said "Honey it's awful we might have to get your sister involved. Yumi was playing in the park. I turned my attention for only a minute. I go to look back to where she was and she was gone. I got up and started yelling and looking for her. I couldn't find her anywhere."

"I'll go call Kazumi." stated Akiko frantically

After she left the room Takeho sighed in relief. He feels kinda bad for what he did. But for now he doesn't have to worry about money. Now he has to worry about possibly being found out. With Yumi she landed on her butt. She looked around and doesn't recognize anything. She has no idea where she is. Scared she hid in the foliage and started crying. Not far away is a adult male who has been. Traveling through the different dimensions for 22 years. His name is Stanford Pines and he is traveling through that particular dimension. As he walked he can hear crying of a small girl. He decided to follow the sound of the crying. When Yumi heard something coming she tried to stop crying. But just then a dark gray haired man. Moved the foliage a side and she looked up.

"Well, well what do we have here?" asked the man

"Please help me." stated Yumi

"How did you get here little one?" asked the man

"I was walking through the park with my Daddy. Until he picked me up and through me into something. Now I'm somewhere I don't know." replied Yumi

Ford looked at the scared little girl. And didn't feel right leaving her here alone. So he reached down and said " Come on little one I can help you." Yumi grabbed a hold of his six fingered hand. Ford picked her up and she cuddled into his arms. He can feel her shaking with fear. Ford patted her on the back and said "There, there little one I'll take care of you." As he walked he can feel the little girl calm down.

"My name is Stanford what yours?" asked Ford

"My name is Yumi." replied Yumi

"Well my dear I guess it's me and you traveling the dimensions now." stated Ford

"Is that where I am?" asked Yumi

"I'm afraid so little one. But I can teach you how to survive." sighed Ford

Yumi is now six years old and she has been traveling with Ford for a year. Considering she was almost five when she met him. Right now Ford and Yumi is in a cave in a dimension. That he hopes is safe for now. When he and Yumi got up for the day. He noticed that she seemed pale and sluggish. So he felt her forehead and can tell. That she has a fever. Ford gave Yumi some medicine and had her lay down. Yumi laid her head on Ford's lap and fell asleep. Ford kept his scenes and wits about him. To make sure nothing would attack them. Back on Earth Takeho has been found out. A few months after Yumi went missing. Takeho was questioned and busted. Luckily thanks to Kazumi working for the Japanese government.

She has a lot of connections. Kazumi has managed to get a hold of Doctor Strange. And asked him to keep an eye out for Yumi. When he goes through the dimensions. Doctor Strange ended up sending a message reading. Kazumi I will do what I can in looking for your niece. Yes I do got to different dimensions. I frequent a few of them. And there are dimensions that I don't go to. Back in the dimensions Yumi is doing much better. She was down for three days. Now she and Ford are on the move. As they travel Ford teaches her a valuable lesson. Right now they have stopped to eat. Ford took some food out of his bag and gave it to Yumi. She took the food and said "Thank you Daddy Ford."

Ford at first was going to correct Yumi. But he can't bring himself to do so. So he just smiled, patted her on the head, and they ate. A year has passed and Yumi is now 7 years old. She and Ford are in what is known as dimension 52. They have met a 7 eyed woman known as the Oracle. She had a good chat with Ford. And told him that she can help him. She told him the best way to protect his mind from Bill. Would be to put a metal plate in his head. Ford agreed and the Oracle took him for surgery. Leaving Yumi with the Oracle's assistants. The assistants played with Yumi and are amazed. On how how smart and strong she is. An hour later Yumi asked "Is this really going to keep Daddy save? From the mean old triangle man?"

The Oracle's assistants have heard Bill be called many things. But not what Yumi just called him. The ladies could help but laugh. One assistant managed to say "Yes this will help keep him safe." Another hour passed and the Oracle came into the room. The ladies looked her way and asked "How did it go madam?"

"It went very well he's resting in a room" replied the Oracle

Yumi yawned and asked "Can I go lay down with Daddy?" The Oracle smiled, took Yumi by the hand, and lead her down a hall. She lead Yumi to a room and Ford is laying on a bed. She went up to the bed and climbed up onto it. She got comfortable next to Ford and fell asleep. The Oracle and her assistants are standing at the door.

"That man is something else. Not only is he intelligently gifted. He has a birth defect and he is. Taking care of a child that isn't biologically his." marveled the assistants

The Oracle nodded and said "I agree." It took Ford a week to recover. Then he and Yumi were on the move again.
