Midoriya's P.O.V.
"Mom… this is embarrassing."
"You want to continue to go to UA don't you?"
I nodded my head. "More than anything."
"Then if you want to live in the dorms, these are my conditions."
I thought back to when All Might was as my house, trying to convince my mom to actually let me live in the dorms.
"Continuing at UA is one thing, but living in the dorms? All Might… you do know Midoriya is an omega…"
"Yes, I'm aware of that fact. There are plenty of heroes that are omega, there is no type discrimination in our profession, and there certainly isn't at UA." UA used to only accept alphas back when All Might attended, but things are different now. In fact, the school is like… 10% Omega! Times are changing!
"That's not what I'm talking about All Might. They're teenagers. They're hormones are going on a rampage! All those alphas at your school, sharing a dorm with my baby! Who's going to stop those horny heroes from screwing-" I felt my face turn flush, All Might's looked like he was embarrassed for me.
"We will find a solution, I promise!" All Might squeaked, nodding at me furiously. I nearly passed out from embarrassment.
So here I am. Sitting in my pediatrician's office. About to ask her for heat suppressants, scent blockers and… birth control. With my mother sitting right next to me. There are five-year-olds here. This is so embarrassing.
"We couldn't see an… omega specialist?" I whispered to her quietly.
"Not on such short notice! I couldn't get an appointment for you within the next six months! It will be fine, your pediatrician is an omega too and is perfectly capable of prescribing all the medications you need to-"
"Okay mom, thanks great!" I chuckled nervously, cutting her off so she didn't announce to everyone what was happening.
"Izuku Midoriya." The nurse said, coming to get me. Oh thank goodness. I got up and so did my mom. Wait, no!
"Mom… you're not coming in with me, are you?"
"Of course I am, I always go in with you."
"But this is like…" Embarrassing… And maybe possibly the last place I would like my mother to go in with me. Especially when we're going to be discussing… my secondary gender…
"Izuku." She said sternly. I gave up, her tone was too firm, and we followed the nurse into the room. This was a battle I wasn't going to win. The nurse took my weight and height, then was completely shocked that I had developed a quirk. Not the easiest explanation in the world, but I couldn't exactly tell her about One for All. After updating my chart, the pediatrician finally came in.
"Well hello Izuku, how are you feeling? What brings you in today?"
"Well I uh…"
"He's been attending UA for a semester and now has to move into the dorms on campus. There are a lot of alpha's in his class, and you know with them all being fifteen going on sixteen, I'm worried for my little Izuku."
"Mom."
"Izuku it is a valid fear. With the way your hormones are, it could be very tempting for an alpha to want to sneak into your room during your heats." I felt my face turn bright red. I'm mortified. "Are you seeing anyone?"
"No he is not! My little Izuku isn't allowed to date until he's thirty!"
"Mom!" Yep, let me just go take that swan dive off a roof now.
"Inko, I think my nurse is having some trouble with your insurance, why don't you go help her out while Izuku and I talk for a minute?" Reluctantly, my mother made a face and left. She was anything but happy about being kicked out of this appointment. I felt like I could finally breathe… for a second.
"So… is there an alpha in your life?" And the bright red heat all over my face returns. There was certainly a probable alpha that came to mind. My palms became sweaty just thinking about him…
"Well no… I don't think so. Not yet I mean maybe… but there really hasn't been any obvious signs that he or really any alpha is interested in me. Of course, they don't know I'm omega, I don't really broadcast it but…" I continued to mutter as she put her hand on my shoulder.
"Okay, so let's just prescribe you something to be precautious. You're not exactly interested in getting pregnant at fifteen correct?"
"Right…"
"Have you had your first heat yet?"
"Umm… no… should I have?"
"Well we've always known you to be a late bloomer. I'm sure it will come soon and when it does you should be prepared." Oh no, first I was born quirkless, now I'm an omega that hasn't even hit puberty. How much worse can this get?
"Okay…"
"Your first heat, and all heats thereafter, are going to be… a bit painful, but mostly uncomfortable. It will feel a strong pain; A longing if you will. You'll have a lot of thoughts… urges. It helps if you have an alpha there to… sooth you. Hence the birth control."
"Oh… right." I said looking down, feeling my cheeks becoming very warm again. Birth control… I guess that makes sense, the whole point of a once monthly heat is to get pregnant…
"But if you don't want an alpha, or beta for that matter, there are always ways around it. It helps to masturbate. That will help with the urges, but you might not find it to be fully… satisfying. Toys can be very valuable in a young omega's life." Here comes the embarrassment again. "But I'll also prescribe you heat suppressants. An injection. Will keep your urges at bay enough for you to concentrate on your classes and your hero training. They'll allow you to be able to go out during your heat, not be mauled, have some form of normalcy, but make sure you still use scent blockers just to be safe."
"Will they affect my quirk?"
"They shouldn't, but if you notice a change, you call me okay?"
"Yes ma'am."
"Do you know how suppressants work Izuku?" I shook my head no. "Once a month for about four days, you'll go into heat. The medication suppresses the urge, but doesn't make it go away, not entirely. You should start taking them the second you think your heat's about to start. Leading up to your heat, your pheromone production starts to increase, making you irresistible to Alphas. Don't take the suppressants and I can all but guarantee one will maul you once you're in a full-blown heat. An alpha may urge you not to take them, they're not very fond of the dulling of the scent, but that will only leave you with four days of unbearable urges and an Alpha that has little to no control over themselves either. It could become very dangerous for you. They may hurt you very badly if you were to let them rut unsuppressed. Alphas…. Can be violent. Not all of them, but your scent, your type, it does something to them. They want you so bad they just… lose control. I'm not trying scare your Midoriya, but I want you to be informed. Suppressants help keep them from lashing out as well as keep you in control of your own mind." Always take suppressants, got it. She moved to a drawer, getting out a few items. "Condoms and lubricant. Very important. Every time Midoriya. You may have your slick, you may be on the pill, but why risk it? Take your birth control at the same time every day for it to be most effective. Let's talk about marks."
"Marks?"
"An Alpha will also want to mark you, claim you as their own. Their property. You do have a say Midoriya, don't let anyone tell you that you don't. Claiming bites are permanent, an alpha will want to give you one at the nape of your neck. That will not only hurt, but you'll be bound to them forever. Marks on the neck can't be removed, they're too close to vital organs. Make sure you talk to your alpha about it before it happens, without your heat making the choice for you. Marks in other places don't have the same connotation, or last as long, but… an omega with visible bites is still looked down on in our society. That's the simple truth. You might want to keep that in mind. There's nothing wrong with waiting until you're ready Midoriya. An alpha should never rush you into sex."
"Right." This is a lot to take in.
"Alright, enough embarrassing you. I've sent your prescriptions to the pharmacy. Good luck at school!"
"Thank you!" I mumbled, shoving the items she gave me in my backpack and stumbling out the door. Who knew moving into the dorms would be so… complicated. The next few weeks were a whirlwind. Moving into the dorms, getting our provisional licenses, fighting with Kacchan… getting used to taking birth control at the same time every night. It was sort of a lot. I had to set my alarm on my phone so that I would remember. One day we were all hanging out, sitting in the common room, when my alarm went off.
"What's that?" Uraraka asked.
"Oh, just an alarm, it's nothing." I said shyly. Reaching into my bag to get my pills and some water.
"You're on birth control?" She asked softly with a smile.
"Umm… yeah… my mom sort of made me." I chuckled softly then took a pill.
"My parents did too! When they found out we were moving into the dorms!"
"Really?"
"My parents totally freaked out! There were lectures and doctor's appointments, a full-scale crazy parent storm."
"My mom did too!" I laughed, smiling at her.
"That means you're an omega, right?" The look in her eyes changed, like she realized that there was no longer a chance for me and her.
I blushed, never having told anyone before. "Yeah."
"Me too! I wonder who else is in our class! You know not a lot of Pro Heroes are omega, we could start a new trend!"
"Yeah that would be cool." I chuckled, suddenly feeling more comfortable now that I had shared my status with my best friend.
"What would be?" Iida asked, coming up from behind us and taking a seat in the chair next to Ochaco and I.
"Starting a Pro Hero Omega movement."
"Yes, that would be very cool. I would support you in that."
"What's your dynamic Iida?"
"Well ummm… I am an alpha. Really, I do like the thought of the two of you starting something like that, you have my full support!" I guess he already… knew we were omega? Has he matured already?
"Thanks Iida! Do you know the other types in the class?"
Iida adjusted his glasses. "Well from my understanding, the other alphas in the class are Yaoyorozu, Sato, Shoji, Tokoyami, Ojiro, Jiro, Asui, Bakugo, and Todoroki." Kacchan? And Todoroki? Well… I guess that does make sense…
"That's a lot of alphas!" Ochaco marveled.
"Although alphas only make up about thirty percent of the general population, UA is almost eighty percent alpha." Iida confirmed.
"Most heroes are alpha." I added. Another reason the deck is stacked against me, but I won't give up. Never. Not while I have All Might in my corner, he chose me for a reason, even knowing I was omega.
"I know the betas are Sero, Hagakure, Mineta, and Ashido. But Class 1-B is almost completely Alpha or Omega, I think they only have one beta, Monoma."
"Wait, that's it? Only four betas in our class, five in the hero course?" I asked.
"The class above us has even less. Kaminari told me he's an omega, Aoyama and Koda too." Uraraka said. So, I'm not the only male omega, that's… sort of reassuring. So that's five omegas, four betas, and ten alphas…
"What about Kirishima?" He's gotta be an alpha right? A guy with big muscles like that.
"No one knows, he hasn't told anyone, and no one's really… showed yet." Flaring their scent glands to attract attention or show everyone what you are.
"I suspect he is an omega as well. To me he smells like it."
"What?" Kirishima? An Omega? No.
"You've matured Iida?" Uraraka asked in awe. When you mature you can tell other's types much more easily. Your scent glands develop, your nose becomes more discerning, and you can even flare your scent glands to attract another. Along with a wide array of secondary characteristics.
Iida blushed, "This summer, just before camp." I thought he looked… more muscular lately.
"Do you know who else has?"
"Most of the alphas, well and I guess the betas too…and the omegas… well with the exception of you two."
"What?!" Our eyes bugged out of our heads.
"We're the last two?"
"The whole class thinks we're still babies?"
"It's nothing to worry about, really!" Iida said bowing to us, but we were already gone. Oh this is so embarrassing.
