The Guardian's Journey : Kanto

Imagine if the age limit for starting a pokemon journey was raised. What if in that period ash matured a bit, studied and prepared for his journey through kanto? What if a year before his journey he met a young riolu with whom he formed a strong connection. This is my take one ash's journey. Ash will have Aura but not OP. His powers will gradually increase with training.

1. Chapter 1

Chapter 1 Prologue : The Fall of the Guardian

Unknown Location

A hooded man and a blue jackal shaped creature collapsed on the rocky surface, blood coming from where the horn had pierced his chest. He and his partner had fought with all his might but could not compare to the army of the monster of a man they had been fighting for a long time. He quickly commanded his Alakazam to take the rest of his team to his family. He could only hope that his friends could escape safely and protect his precious family.

"Return Rhyperior." Said an approaching voice.

Slow footsteps approached the downed guardian, as his enemy came into his eyesight. The brown haired man was looking at him with a look of utter loathing and revulsion with some amusement with the appearance of his enemy.

"So will I be able to finally find out the identity of the Aura Guardian who has been a nuisance to my organization and my goal?" sneered the man.

The man went on to speak but was cut off by the guardian,"No you cannot find who I am I have taken all measures for my privacy."

"Hmmm, that is rather disappointing I would have loved to hear your family's screams. Ah well anyway it seems kanto will be needing another saviour because today because today is the day you die" smirked the man.

"Y-Yo-You might kill me today but always remember I won." muttered the guardian with a tired grin.

"What are you rant-" he was cut off by the explosion which shook the land. The man's face paled which quickly turned to a thunderous one. The entire lab was destroyed and his main scientists and agents were killed because of the blasted man!

"YOU FOOL! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU HAVE DONE?" yelled the man kicking him and his partner in the stomach.

"D-D-D-Did I do something wrong?" asked the guardian between his and his partner's snickers.

"Thanks to you my plans have been delayed. No matter you will die here alone and I will go and my goals will be fulfilled in due time." declared the man. With one final look of hatred he swept off towards the remains of labs his grunts following him.

As time passed darkness seemed to take over. Forgive me my love ...my son were the last thoughts of the man with regret as he shared a last smile with his partner tears flowing down their faces. They gave a final breath, and their eyes lost the spark of life.

The Aura Guardian Richard was dead.
