Chapter 1

Cool streams of light crept through thick maroon blackout curtains just as the sun began to rise.

The subtle tug on the heavy valor curtains paired with low growls is what awoke the sleeping body in the queen-sized bed that sat in the middle of the room.

"Hey, you two knock it off. You'll drop the curtain rod on your heads again." The sleepy voice groaned out in a yawn.

Today of all days, he wished he could have continued to sleep.

He detested waking up at 5 in the morning. It, unfortunately, became routine for the tall well-toned man.

He lazily sat up in his bed, regretting the decision immediately as his two dogs piled on him.

The two large canines jumped up on his bed, licking at their master's face.

"Down! Get down! Disgusting! How many times do I have to tell you two not to lick my face!" Sesshomaru yelled out tiredly. He stood from his bed, not bothering to slide on his slippers.

He dragged his feet through his dark hallway, scratching his bare stomach and yawning.

It was dark and cold in his old inherited house. With some spots being colder while other areas seemed to remain hot and humid no matter what season it was or how high he cranked the a/c.

He whipped his head away quickly from the bright light of his bathroom. The old style of pastel greens and glossy whites making it seem brighter than it probably was.

His priority was to run his shower. It only had one temperature, one of the many problems of his old house.

He slid open the smoked glass door that sat high on a connected porcelain tub and twisted the heavy glass knob.

Every morning he'd have to let the water run for a few minutes whenever he wanted to shower. He had no choice in the matter unless he wanted to burn himself; that is, it remained scorching hot unless it ran for so long, allowing some of the hot water to turn a bit cooler.

He raised the seat to his mint green porcelain toilet and began to relieve himself.

His two loyal and annoying dogs came in, walking around the small bathroom, pulling Sesshomaru's attention from the task of urinating.

"Ah- Get out of the trash can! There's nothing in there for you! Un- stop eating the door! It's not food!" Sesshomaru yelled while peeing.

He flushed the toilet and waved his dogs away with his hand as they tried to lick at the swirling water. After washing, he blinked tiredly at his reflection, yawning widely in the mirror.

Ah- and Un- began pushing up against each side of him, silently begging their master to tend to their needs.

"Alright, alright, come on," Sesshomaru called them to walk down the stairs with him.

Un- ran ahead, passing Sesshomaru while Ah- stood back sniffing around his master's tracks.

Sesshomaru almost lost footing and grabbed on tightly to the old wooden railing that wobbled out of place. His overly long pajama pants didn't help to keep his balance, as his toes got tangled up in the dragging fabric.

He sighed to himself as he rubbed the exhaustion out of his right eye. Once at the bottom, he pulled his foot free of his pajama pant and proceeded to his destination.

Looking around at the dark walls, he couldn't help but think how much work needed to be done since the house was so old. For a single bachelor, the size was not the problem.

He had amicable space. It was a three-bedroom and two-bath place. Sesshomaru's mother had owned the old-styled two-story Victorian house and left it to him in her will. It was just so outdated. It needed new everything.

From appliances to paint to wiring and air units. The whole house, in his personal opinion, needed to be gutted and remodeled.

The house had a few hidden secrets as to how to live in it. Luckily it just so happened to be one of the many houses Sesshomaru grew up in. So he knew all the secrets and odd techniques to living here.

He opened the door in the back of his kitchen, letting both Ah- and Un- into the yard. He then walked into his laundry room that was off to the side in a space that looked like a hidden closet and lifted a large bag of dog food he kept wedged in between the wall and his dryer.

Probably not the wisest place to keep dog food if he was honest with himself; however, he didn't wash clothes every day, and when he did, he just moved the bag out the way.

He walked the small distance from his laundry to the kitchen and poured enough food for both dogs dropping a few pieces across the vinyl tile floor.

The clinking of the bits of dry dog food ringing in the large metal bowls called both large dogs back into the home.

Sesshomaru then pulled an old water jug he had cut the top off of from the cabinets under the kitchen sink and filled it with cold water. He filled the empty bowls of water for each pet and then set the cut-up water jug back where it came from.

Ah-, while eating, licked at his master's bare toes while he was making his way past the giant black Great Danes.

Sesshomaru pulled his feet away from the unwanted feeling of dog slobber and chewed up kibble. His hand, by habit, reached to his right flipping a switch to his coffee maker turning it on.

He then jogged back up the stairs skipping one or two steps at a time. He re-entered his bathroom and checked the water temperature.

Satisfied with the less scorching temp, he stripped himself of the only article of clothing he had on and stepped into the now warmer than he liked the shower.

He could have waited longer, but the idea of keeping his dogs drool and food on his feet disgusted him.

He stood under the hot water for a little while, allowing the steam to wash away his exhaustion. He then rinsed his feet off thoroughly and began to lather himself with his cologne-scented body wash.

He wasn't one for strong, overbearing scents. His body wash was like a light, fresh tropical smell that faded through the day into an ocean breeze-like scent.

He noted to himself that he was running low. After maybe two more showers, he'd be out. He would have to stop by the market to pick up a few personal items on his way back from work.

Once he finished rinsing the conditioner from his hair, he turned the water off and reached out for his towel.

Wrapping the fluffy white towel around his waist, he walked over to the mirrored medicine cabinet that hung over the sink. He grabbed his toothpaste and toothbrush and began brushing.

His way of multitasking allowed him to air-dry his body, brush his teeth, wash his face, set reminders, and have a glimpse at awaiting texts he wouldn't be answering anytime soon.

Once he finished, he went into his walk-in closet in the master bedroom, grabbing his pre-ironed outfit of the day: some khaki slacks, a white shirt, a warm brown tie, and a matching brown blazer.

Before exiting the large closet, he slid on a pair of his boxers and grabbed his brown dress socks.

It was in a sense his uniform that he prepared for the past nine years.

When he walked out of his closet, he was greeted by the two large dogs lying on his unmade bed.

Sesshomaru rubbed their heads aggressively before taking a seat on the small bench at the foot of his bed so he could roll his socks onto his feet.

Lifting his knee to his chest wasn't a strenuous task for Sesshomaru since he was in excellent shape for a high school teacher.

Low growling and the rise of both dog's heads caught the attention of Sesshomaru. He looked confusedly at his dogs as they began growling at the empty doorway.

Sesshomaru looked over as he put on his second sock. Seeing nothing, he calmed his pets and gently nudged their heads off the bed so he could make it after dressing.

He buttoned his shirt one button at a time, he slid on his slacks, carefully tucking his shirt so he would not cause wrinkles or creases.

Popping his collar, he wrapped his long tie around his neck, knotting it with a simple knot.

Before leaving his room, he walked over to his long chestnut-colored dresser, which had a mirror sitting up top.

He lifted his glasses, cleaning them with a suede cloth before placing them on.

He hated the beginning of a new school year and what it held in store for him for the next few months.

Annoying and mindless teens, the insulting and distasteful drawings, under-the-breath snide remarks, and idiotic nicknames.

He loathed almost everything about his job, and though it all could be considered a mild irritant, he could not hide the way he detested children.

Teens in particular.

Sesshomaru continued with his mundane morning routine of blow-drying his hair on a low heat while brushing it out, fixing and eating oatmeal, tidying up his place the little that it needed, and reading through his emails.

Most were just a lot of junk mail and ads promoting their 35% off sales. Some were attachment files his father would send him asking for advice on a business deal or a stock movement.

His father, Toga Taisho, honestly could do without Sesshomaru's advice, being that he was such a successful investor and owned an insurance company.

Sesshomaru knew his father's only objective for sending him such silly emails, asking for his advice was only to entice Sesshomaru into quitting his teaching job and coming to work for him.

Even though the pay would be better, Sesshomaru detested the idea of working so closely with his father. He knew his father would throw all the work on him and expect him to smile and accept it. Which is something Sesshomaru had zero interest in.

He loved his teaching career. He enjoyed reading and always found it to be unique. The lessons, the art, the romance, the tragedy!

When he was able to turn his love for books into a career, teaching the lessons of these books to the next generation, his heart soared.

Books fascinated him, and he enjoyed nothing more than curling up on his sofa having some soft music playing while he dove into a classic.

It was just the wretched generation he taught that made him teeter on the edge of quitting and finding something new.

Once finished with his oatmeal, he washed his bowl, spoon, and the small pot it took to make his breakfast.

He wiped off his laminate forest green kitchen counters from his few drops of spilled milk and sugar, grabbed his leather briefcase, and threw the long leather strap over his shoulder. He grabbed his car keys and wallet that sat in a small glass bowl on a long and narrow table in the entryway of his home.

Sesshomaru said his goodbyes to his pets, unlocking the doggy door so they could let themselves in and out—he then locked up his old house and walked out to his black jeep Cherokee.

Sesshomaru set his briefcase in the passenger seat up front and backed out of his two-car driveway, making his way to work.

/

'And when you smile!

The whole world stops and stares for a while!

Cause girl, you're amazing!

Just the way you are!'

A puny pale arm stretched out, reaching for the ringing phone playing Just the way you are by Bruno Mars.

His face was planted inside his soft pillow when he answered his ringing phone. "Hello?" He yawned out.

"Kohaku!? Are you still sleeping?! Wake up, hurry! Your supposed to pick me up at the station so I can be at school on time!" A loud and very hyper voice yelled over the speaker of the phone.

"Huh? Ugh, no, I'm not sleeping? I was Ugh, just finishing up breakfast?! I'll be there in 10 minutes, I promise!" The young boy quickly scrambled out of bed, hanging up his phone.

Grateful he decided to shower last night, Kohaku quickly brushed his teeth and dressed in his school uniform. His quick movements making him stumble a few times wasn't enough to stop the rushing young teen.

He was very excited for his first day as a sophomore and his friend's first day in a new school. She was moving back into town after ten years, and he couldn't be happier to see her in person once again.

He grabbed his book bag off his swiveling computer chair and rushingly pulled his hair back into a short ponytail.

He ran down the hall quickly and jumped halfway from the staircase. He hurriedly grabbed a pear from a fruit bowl sitting on the kitchen counter and his car keys.

'Let the rain fall down, and wake my dreams

Let it wash away my sanity

'Cause I wanna feel the thunder, I wanna scream

Let the rain fall down!'

The joyful voice of a young teenage girl sang the lyrics to Hilary Duffs Come Clean loudly as she had her wireless earphones in.

None of the other passengers minded the young teen girl singing as her voice was beautiful, and she carried each note perfectly.

She bopped her head around and sang with a giant smile on her face as she stared out the window on the moving train.

She was extra excited to be going to her new school with her oldest best friend again.

She didn't mind her all-girls school, but she didn't have any real friends there. They all just seemed to talk to her so she could help them with their homework.

Her one true friend that had been there even when she moved away ten years ago back was the nicest, sweetest, most gentle boy she had ever met! And she honestly couldn't wait to hug him and spend time with him like they had done when they were kids.

Some more frightening thoughts crossed her mind, of course. What if she didn't fit in well at her new school? What if she wasn't smart enough to match up to other students in this new school?

There were so many worries and fears it made her heart race. The young girl giggled to herself and shook off all her negative thoughts and concerns.

What was there honestly to be frightened of? She'd have her best friend by her side! They've been talking every day since she left and even video-called off their computers! She knew he was still the kind-hearted boy she loved!

The young girl smiled, mainly attracting the attention of all the passengers. She looked so incredibly upbeat and happy that it brought a smile to their faces as well! Giving them hope that their day would be just as great and good as hers seemed to be going.

/

Sesshomaru checked the time on his wristwatch. He had another 30 minutes before he needed to be in school.

With the extra time, he pulled into one of his favorite cafes that were only open for breakfast currently.

He parked his car, shut off the engine, and stepped out. After straightening out his appearance from sitting, he entered the breakfast and lunch cafe.

"Good morning! I have your order all ready for you!" A sweet young woman smiled. She must've been in her early to mid-20s, Sesshomaru thought.

"Morning, I'm surprised you remembered an order from a few months ago back?" Sesshomaru reached into his wallet and pulled out a 20 dollar bill.

"How could I forget, you come here every morning at exactly 7 am to order a salad that we don't serve until after 11." The young woman whispered her last words.

"Well, then I guess I'm lucky it's always you taking my order and having it ready for me. Keep the change." Sesshomaru grabbed his lunch and walked out.

"Have a great day! See you tomorrow!" The young hostess waved.

"Why do you even bother? I guarantee he doesn't even know your name." A miserable-looking waitress said while passing.

"Yeah, I know, but he's so handsome!" The girl sighed in a fantasy state of mind and got back to work.

/

Sesshomaru set his lunch down, took a sip from his thermos filled with his warm coffee, and backed out of the bistro parking lot.

He didn't bother to give too much mind to the young hostess, who always made sure he had his salad with extra toppings and dressing on the side. Women always seemed to go the extra mile hoping he'd give them some attention.

He wasn't interested in women who lowered their standards so much to grab his attention—doing extra for him, flirting with him, wearing less clothing. It disgusted him to no end, the lack of self-respect some people had.

As he turned on his right blinker to make his turn into the school, he already felt himself getting a headache as he noticed a very familiar car dropping off a very pestering student.

Sesshomaru parked his car a distance away, hoping not to be spotted. As he gathered his supplies and lunch from his vehicle, he knew there would be no way to avoid the inevitable conversation, so instead, he just leaned against his car and enjoyed his coffee in silence until he knew his peace would be broken.

/

Rin gathered up her book bag and the few snacks she had on the train. She stepped onto the platform and looked around for a familiar face.

"Rin!" An excited voice called out, waving.

Rin excitedly ran over to her friend and tackled him into a big hug!

"Kohaku! I've missed you so much! You look taller in person than over a computer screen!" Rin joked.

Kohaku laughed and hugged the beautiful girl back. A light pink caressed his cheeks and the bridge of his nose.

"I've missed you too! You look great! And also taller... When you called earlier, I thought you were already here?" Kohaku said, grabbing the girl's bags.

"I know that's why I called. I knew you'd still be asleep." Rin giggled.

Kohaku just grinned, embarrassed, and opened her door. After receiving Rin's kind gratitude for being so gentlemanly, he walked around putting the large duffel bag in the trunk of his car and opened the driver's side door.

He took a deep breath before entering to calm his nerves and sat next to his beautiful friend.

Her hair was a long shiny, ebony color. Her eyes were a dazzling chocolate brown. Her skin was creamy porcelain and as soft as silk!

Kohaku sat for a few seconds, just admiring the girl who sat beside him. His long-time friend had changed so much and yet not at all. She, to him, was beautiful in every shape, form, and way.

"Kohaku? What's wrong with you? Come on, don't make me late my first day at a new school!" Rin shook her friend from whatever thoughts seemed to have frozen him in place.

"Oh! Yeah?! Ugh, right?! Come on, let's go!" Kohaku started up the small car and was on his way.

/

Sesshomaru looked at his watch and set his thermos in the cup holder of his car as he watched his father pull up in a black Cadillac.

"Sesshomaru. I was expecting to see you upfront when I dropped off your brother. Aren't you supposed to be here before the students?" His father spoke through the rolled-down window.

"I spared myself the irritation. Only unprepared and idiotic teachers need to be here hours ahead of time. I, however, will have my classroom set and ready before my students even realize where the room is, unfortunately." Sesshomaru said, leaning against his car with his long legs crossed.

"It seems like such a simple lifestyle choice for a man with your intellect. When are you going to quit with this little hobby of yours and start an actual career?" Toga asked while the cool air of his car hit against his sharp, sculpted face.

Sesshomaru chuckled to himself, annoyed. His grin fading as he lifted his head to look up at his father. "Well, I believe that's all the time we have for today. If you'll excuse me. I have to get back to my simple hobby." Sesshomaru spoke sarcastically and lightly annoyed.

He threw the leather strap of his briefcase over his shoulder and walked off to make his way into the building.

"I'll expect to see you later today at the house then? Few things we need to go over." Toga shouted from the window, watching his sons receding form from his side-view mirror.

Sesshomaru lifted his left hand in the air, signaling to his father that he understood and would stop by his house later after school.

/

Kohaku pulled carefully into a parking space and shut the car off. He removed his keys and quickly jolted out the door as Rin began to gather her things and unbuckle her seatbelt.

Kohaku hurriedly opened her car door, giving Rin a scare.

"Hm! Oh? Thank you, Kohaku. Thank you for everything!" Rin smiled largely as she got out of the car.

"Oh, it's not a problem! No need to thank me! I'm happy to do it!" Kohaku smiled back and walked the girl to the school building.

Kohaku stealing a glance over Rin's left shoulder, noticed one of his teachers he'd be working with this semester. He immediately got a cold chill up his spine, eyeing the nonchalant man leaning against his car.

Kohaku could tell he was angry about something and began praying that his teacher would somehow be in a better mood later on.

He had the title of being the cruelest and most strict teacher in the high school. Kohaku felt a slight relief that his sister Sango had taken his class and gave him some pointers.

Rin stared up at the large beautiful landscape. The high school was very well kept and clean, she noted to herself.

Just as she skipped up the stairs, Rin caught the heavy sigh of her friend. "Kohaku? Is everything alright?" Rin asked curiously.

"Yeah, I just forgot my bookbag. I'm going to grab it real quick. I'll be right back!" Kohaku ran off.

Rin smiled and patiently awaited her friend. Rin began singing the chorus to the song Beat of my Heart by Hilary Duff while dancing around in the warm sunlight.

Getting so caught up in her song and dance, she accidentally bumped into a stranger walking into the building.

"Oh, I'm so sorry! Please excuse me, sir." Rin bowed her head in respect.

"What a bothersome morning this has already turned out to be." The man spoke in disgust and annoyance. "You'd do well to actually pay attention to your surroundings from now on." The annoyed man slid his optical glasses back up since they had fallen awkwardly on his nose during his run-in with the annoying girl.

Rin looked up at him, confused. With the sun obscuring his facial features, Rin could only barely distinguish that he was well dressed, very tall, and had magnificent long white hair.

Rin stared in awe, watching the man walk inside the building. "I wonder if he's a student?" Rin said in a whisper to herself.

"Hey! You just ran into Mr.Taisho! You have now already failed his class!" A loud male student called out.

His voice was deep and had a sort of rough edge to it. His eyes were an exquisite blue, with black hair that was pulled into a long ponytail.

His uniform fit him quite well, showing off his muscular torso.

"Oh, I did? That would be so awful! I guess I'll have to work extra hard in his class? If I have any with him, that is?" Rin smiled. "Hello! My name is Rin Miko! It's a pleasure to meet you!" She held out her hand to shake the attractive teen's hand.

"Koga? Put your hand away, kid, and why are you so happy anyway! He's no joke! I hate that bastard!" Koga huffed.

Rin blinked confusedly. She wasn't sure why the young man before her was so angry?

"Excuse my boyfriend! Hi! Rin, was it? My name is Ayame! Are you new here? I've never seen you before? Your very pretty!" A young red-headed girl spoke with a giant smile and lots of energy as she possessively held onto the blue-eyed teen boy.

"Hi, Ayame! It's wonderful to meet you! And yes, this is my first day here!" Rin smiled, matching the red-headed girl's energy.

"Cool! Well, I love your look and energy! You should try out for the cheerleading squad! I think you'll be great!" Ayame grabbed both Rins hands and squeezed tightly.

Rin smiled as her friend finally returned from retrieving his bag.

"Hey! Koga, Ayame. I see you guys met Rin." Kohaku said, a little out of breath from jogging.

"Yeah, why are you so out of breath, punk?" Koga asked, looking at the sweat and red features of the younger teen.

"Oh, no reason. Well, I gotta go. I have to take Rin to the office so she can pick up all her stuff. See you guys in class." Kohaku waved off as he guided Rin inside.

Rin, surprised by Kohakus's abrupt guidance, turned over her shoulder to wave to who she felt would be her new friends.

/

Sesshomaru dug into his pocket as the chatter of students filled the hallways. He grabbed his classroom keys and was happy to smell the fresh, clean scent of lemon and bleach.

Sesshomaru set his leather briefcase on the desk, opening it to pull out some folders filled with worksheets for his class. Once he finished with the not-so-light case, he set it on the ground under his desk propped against the side.

He organized his papers setting all the different worksheets to the side, with quizzes he was already prepared to give his students. Along with getting their preplanned homework ready as well.

Sesshomaru was a very organized and strict person within himself. Making him one of the most hated and feared teachers in the school.

He, however, loved the little title the students had given him. New students were warned about him, and senior students knew to study extra hard and be punctual if they ever hoped to leave their high school hell.

Just as Sesshomaru was making a few notes, his door frame was knocked on.

A school janitor stood waiting in the doorway. He was short, bald, and had enormous eyes that had yellow crust at the bottom. Sesshomaru assumed it must have something to do with his old age.

"Jaken." Sesshomaru acknowledged the janitor permitting him to enter his classroom.

"Good morning Mr.Taisho! It's so good to see you back! I hope your room is to your liking? I had it deep cleaned from the inside for you! And I polished your desk." The janitor walked inside.

"Yes, everything is fine. Thank you, Jaken. How have you faired this summer?" Sesshomaru asked without really caring. He just needed to keep having the head of the janitorial team liking him enough to go above and beyond his janitorial duties for Sesshomaru.

"Oh, excellent, sir! We had the grandkids over all summer long! I must say it was very tiring? I suppose that is to be expected of grandkids, though? To exhaust the elderly." The older man spoke happily.

He walked in and washed Sesshomaru's windows once more from the inside. Opening them all and allowing a refreshingly warm breeze to come in and lightly warm the very chilly classroom.

He cleaned out the cracks and sides of any dirt that may have been overlooked. But to Jaken's satisfaction, it was all perfectly tidy.

"Would you like me to keep the windows open? I can close them for you if you'd like?" Jaken offered.

"Yes, thank you. I'll see you after class." Sesshomaru didn't ask as much as he made the statement.

"Yes! Have a great morning, sir!" Jaken said, smiling as he walked out.

Sesshomaru exhaled in relief. He enjoyed the moments he had when it was quiet. Right before his class would begin, Sesshomaru wrote his name and the rules of his classroom on the marker board with perfect grace.

He set his papers in each drawer of his desk, locking each when he finished. The few papers left on top were about to be passed out. Sesshomaru knew he'd be hearing the unified groans of disappointment soon, and it brought a warm smile to his face.

"Your locker number and combination are all in here. This is your school schedule. Here is a map of the grounds, and a little history of our school. These are some of the clubs we have, and here is a schedule for our after-school programs. Anything else you need, Miss Miko, do NOT hesitate to ask. And welcome to Hakurei High School!" The lovely vice principal spoke quickly and kindly.

Rin bowed her thanks and respect and walked out of the office with Kohaku.

"Rin, the first bell is about to ring, so I gotta get going. It looks like our lockers are on the opposite side of the school, so here." Kohaku grabbed a variety pack of colorful markers from his book bag.

He then drew a line from her locker to each class in a different color. He then took similar color highlighting pens and highlighted the class to match the little colorful map he had made her.

"Here in case, we don't meet up in time. This way, you won't get lost." Kohaku smiled, handing it back to her as he began walking her to her locker.

Rin looked at the colorful map and smiled. Once Kohaku dropped her off to her hallway where her locker should be located, she jumped him in a tight hug.

Many passing students made minor remarks and whistled at the two friends making Kohaku turn a bright red.

"Thank you, Kohaku! You are truly a wonderful friend! I'll see you in class! Go get ready, and I'm sorry for taking so much of your time!." Rin smiled.

"You didn't! I'm happy to do this for you! I'll see you later!" Kohaku blushed and began walking away. "Oh, and Rin?! Ignore what that guy said! You'll have a great first day!" Kohaku smiled and started to power walk across the school.

Rin smiled and waved. Once her friend was no longer in view, she turned to continue her walk to her locker number.

"Let's see? Locker 345? Hmm? 343, 344, oh? Umm..? Excuse me..?" Rin stood a distance from her locker as a couple made out against it.

An edgy teen boy had a preppy looking teen girl pressed up against the locker as they continued to block out the world in their heated make out session.

The boy's uniform was ruffled slightly from his girlfriends ministrations, as was the girl's uniform wrinkled and lightly parted as her boyfriend continued with his aggressive kiss.

"Umm..? Excuse me, please.." Rin felt embarrassed and had no idea what she should do.

"Hey! Both of you, stop sucking each other's faces off! Unless you want Miroku to post you to his pervo blog." A familiar voice caught Rins attention.

"It's not a pervo blog. I believe that as young males, we need a safe place to express our sexual interest." Miroku defended himself.

The strong teen girl only rolled her eyes at her extremely perverted boyfriend.

"Sango?" Rin asked, staring at the older beautiful teen before her.

"Rin! Hey! Oh my gosh, you've grown so much! It's been ages! Kagome, this is the girl I was telling you about!" Sango hugged Rin tightly.

"Oh! Hi there! Sorry if Inuyasha and I were in the way. We started in front of my locker? I'm not sure what happened?" Kagome said, blushing and straightening out her uniform.

"Hey, Miroku! I better not find a video of Kagome on that perv phone of yours!" Inuyasha growled out.

Miroku just smiled nervously and, before he can run, was caught and overpowered by a very strong Inuyasha.

Rin stared at his handsome features before realizing she was even staring.

He had deep brown eyes and long wild black hair. He seemed super tough, not the kinda guy you wanna mess with.

"It's no problem. It's nice to meet the two of you!" Rin bowed her greetings.

"Huh? I take it you're not from around here, are ya, kid?" Inuyasha asked, now standing over a beaten Miroku.

Rin looked at the boy with the growing bumps on his head and smiled. "I can see how you are friends with Sango! She has always been really strong!" Rin smiled brightly at Inuyasha and Kagome.

They both smiled back, and all five students began small talk of getting to know the other.

Once the bell rang, they were all off in a hurry. Kagome and Inuyasha decided to walk Rin to her first class since they had it as well.

The first thing Rin noticed was the cold, clean scent that filled the room.

Five rows of five desks filled the room with a neat and dark-colored wooden desk at the front.

A tall, gorgeous man continued reading a book as the students shuffled in. They were immediately grabbing the seats in the back.

The front two rows were filled with groans and annoyance. The desk right in the middle in clear sight of the teacher was left open.

Rin noticed a few of the students. Koga sat in the very back in the far right corner. Ayame beside him to his left. Inuyasha and Kagome sat in the second row in the middle, Inuyasha on the left and Kagome on the right.

"Umm, excuse me?" Rin walked up to the man she assumed to be the teacher.

All the students gasped, concerned about her sanity.

Kagome palmed her face and motioned for Rin to just come and sit down.

Sesshomaru never took his eyes off his book as he continued to read in silence.

Rin looked confusedly at Kagome. What could she have possibly done so wrong?

"I'm sorry to bother you. I'm a new student and." Rin was cut off.

"You are not sorry for irritating me as you have done so twice now. Secondly, why would you assume I am not aware of the students entering my classroom Ms. Miko." Sesshomaru continued to read on turning his page. "My class does not start for another two minutes. Therefore I am under no obligation to interact with you until then, take your seat or be thrown out." Sesshomaru turned his page.

Rin gulped, shocked. She bowed and walked quickly to her seat.

"Next time, just follow me. Don't make a habit of speaking to Mr.Taisho before class starts. He likes to read his books unbothered." Kagome whispered.

Rin nodded her understanding, now afraid to speak. Her curiosity got the better of her, however, and she asked Kagome why everyone is in the room so early.

Everyone had books out, and note pads readied before the bell even rang. It was very confusing to the young girl.

With a loud snap of his book, Sesshomaru set it to the side. The bell rang shortly after. He stood, adjusting his appearance.

Just before Sesshomaru took the first step to close his classroom door, a sweaty and out of breath Kohaku ran in.

"Here! Sorry! I didn't mean to be late! My locker got stuck! And..." Kohaku froze in complete fear at the sight of Sesshomaru's intense glare.

Kohaku quietly and fearfully took his seat beside Rin.

Sesshomaru finally shut his door, thoroughly angered by Kohaku and Rin.

"Since I believe my class is filled with incompetent individuals, I shall elaborate on what is already written on my board. Here are the rules of.my classroom. I have zero, and I do mean ZERO tolerance for anything that does not pertain to the work I have set out for you. If any of you are capable of finishing the assignments, I give you then you are welcome to work on your homework in my classroom or continue to modify the assignment given, or if possible, extend the assignment for extra credit to your grade. If I see any drawings that do not pertain to assigned work, you will be put to stand in front of my class and present your mediocre artwork with a thousand-word page describing the meaning of said useless doodle. If you are caught passing a note, the same punishment will be enforced. With that out of the way! My name is Sesshomaru Taisho. I am your assigned English teacher for the remainder of the year."
