Sam was on SG1 for five months. She enjoyed what she was doing and what she had accomplished in that time. They have been working hard, going off-world since the team was put together.
It was Christmas, So Sam decided to invite her team around for Christmas dinner with Janet and Cassie as well, they all accepted the invitation.
It was Christmas morning Sam was up early getting everything set up on the table, the chicken and the Turkey was in the oven cooking, Since thanksgiving Teal'c loves turkey with cranberry sauce, so she promised him that there will be some for Christmas.
Sam was getting the vegetables ready, when there was a knock on her front door, so she put down the potato she was scrubbing and dried her hands, then she went to open her front door to see who it was, there was no one there.
She looks down and notices dozens of red and white roses and a parcel wrap up in Christmas paper with a blue bow on it.
She picked the items up and looked around to see if she could see any one, there was no one, so she closed her door and went back into the kitchen area.
She put the roses down on the bench and she opened the card that was on top of the parcel and read it.
'Merry Christmas Sam, this will be one of many surprises you will get from me, you don't know where or when you will get the next one, but you will know it's from me. Look at the roses more closely, then you will know from now on, that it is from me and open the present now, I hope you love it, your Secret Admirer'
Sam put the note down and had a look more closely at the roses, she then noticed that two of the red roses were different, they were arterial, she smiled at them, then she opened the present.
She was shocked to see it was a glass vase, it was twenty-five centimetres tall and ten centimetres round with eight hearts engraved on it with her initial name Samantha in each of the hearts. The heart was only an inch high and was engraved in the middle of the vase.
She then put water in the vase and put the roses in it and put them on top of her china cabinet. Once done there she went back to finish getting lunch sorted out wondering who her secret admirer is.
Over the next seven years Sam received dozen red roses and white ones for Christmas with the two arterial red roses with a note from her secret Admirer.
When valentines came around a guy showed up with two dozen red roses with six arterial roses with them.
When Sam's birthday comes around she gets a dozen red and yellow roses with four red arterial roses. In six years she received seventy-two roses, she kept them all in the vase that she got for Christmas. But she still didn't know who the guy was.
A year later she was still getting them, when she did, she called Janet and Cassie to let them know that they had arrived.
On Christmas morning Cassie went to Sam house early, since they were having Christmas there, she watched Sam house to see if she could find out who it was that had been dropping off the roses in the morning.
It was after eight in the morning, when Cassie saw who it was that had been dropping off the roses in the morning, she got on her cell phone and called Janet.
"Hello"
"Mum is me Cassie, I know who Sam's secret admirer is?"
"Cassie, are you sitting outside of Sam's place?"
"Yes, you not going to believe who it is"
"Who is it?"
"Mum, it's Jack, that is who her secret admirer is"
"Are you sure?"
"Mum, I know Jack, it is him, after all these years"
"Well get you but back here, Sam going to call soon to let us know all about it"
"Ok, I'm going to watch what happens next, then I'll come home, bye" then she hung up.
Cassie watched what Jack did, once he was gone, Cassie started up her car and headed back to her mum's place. When she got inside she told Janet about what she saw and even took a couple of pictures of Jack and showed her them.
Janet was shocked, but wasn't surprised by it all, she knew that they love one another, but couldn't act like a pond because of the regs.
"Mum one thing that puzzled me"
"What's that honey?"
"When Jack was trapped on the planet a few years ago, how could he have the roses delivered on Christmas and Sam's birthday?"
"Well there is a website where you could order them a year in advance"
"Ah, so he must of order them from there"
"Yes he could have"
"Ok"
Few months later Sam was seeing Pete Shannon, she was promoted to Lieutenant colonel and Jack promoted to brigadier General. It was Sam's birthday. There was a knock on her door and she answered it. There was a guy holding two dozen yellow roses for her. Once she signed the clipboard, he passed them to her and he left.
Sam went back into the kitchen and put them into a vase that Jack got her for Christmas last year. There was a note attached to it, so she read it.
'Sam Happy birthday, I'm sick of being your secret admirer for eight years, I love you Sam, I always have been and always will be, tonight I'm going to remove the secret admirer mask and reveal myself. What every happens, I will always love you, love you always, secret admirer'
When Sam read the note, she couldn't believe after eight years, she would know who it is tonight, but she didn't know how. Since she had the day off, she went shopping and went to the beauty parlor to pamper herself for that night.
When she got home that afternoon, there was a parcel on her doorstep, so she picked it up and she opened her house door and walked in and then closed it behind her.
Then she went into her dining room and put Pascal on the table and opened it up. She was shocked when she pulled out a royal blue dress.
It has spaghetti straps with a heart shaped neckline, the dress flows down to above the knees. Sam couldn't believe it, she remembered trying it on one day a month ago while she was shopping in the mall and she noticed the shoes and the jacket as well. She puts it all back in the box and picks up the note that went with it.
'Carter I saw you last month trying this dress on, you look beautiful, hot and sexy in it, Happy birthday Sam, always Jack. P.S. if you tell any one that I said that you look hot and sexy in the dress, I'll shot you'
When Sam read what it said, she chuckles and smiles to herself, then she looks at the dress again. She picks up the box and goes into her bedroom and puts it on the bed. There was a knock on her door and she heard Cassie call out to her
"Sam"
"In the bedroom Cassie"
Cassie walked into Sam's bedroom and she saw the dress.
"Wow, where did you get this from Sam?" Cassie said as she picked up the dress.
"Birthday present, I'll be right back"
Sam went into her bathroom and closed the door. Cassie put the dress back down onto the bed and she saw the note, so she picked it up and read it, she tried not to laugh, then she put it down again. She got her cell phone out and she took a picture of the note and the dress, then sent it to her mum's phone.
"Sam I'll let mum know that I'm here, so she can pick me up from work"
"Ok" Cassie went into the kitchen area and she called Janet.
"Dr Fraser"
"Hi mom, it's me, I'm at Sam place"
"Oh, ok I'll be finish in half an hour"
"Ok, mum got your cell phone with you?"
"It's in my drawer, why?"
"Your not going to believe what Jack got Sam for a birthday present, I sent you two pictures of it, Sam coming out, talk to you later, bye"
"Bye" then they both hung up.
"Mum said that she will be finish in half an hour"
"Ok, so would you like a drink?" Sam said,
"Sure, I saw the note from Jack, don't worry I won't tell anyone"
Sam went to her fridge and got two sodas out and passes one to Cassie
"You better not"
"Are you going to wear it tonight?"
"I don't know"
"Why not, you would look great in it"
"Well, ok"
"Great, who is picking you up tonight?"
"Daniel is"
"So Pete not picking you up?"
"No, he is going to meet us there tonight"
"Ok"
When Janet finished talking to Cassie, she got her phone out when there was a knock on her door.
"Come in" the door opens and Daniel walks in.
"Hey, when are you finishing work?"
"In less than half an hour"
Janet turned her phone on and saw two messages so she had a look at them
"Well, I see you tonight then"
"Daniel close the door and come and have a look at this"
Daniel closed the door and walked around Janet's desk to see what she was looking at.
"Who sent you that?"
"Cassie just did, she at Sam place, oh wow, look at the dress"
"wow, it must have been from Pete"
"Hang on there is another picture"
When the picture appeared, they both smiled and tried not to laugh.
"It was from Jack, oh my god"
"I hope Sam wears it tonight," Janet said
"Well I will know when I pick her up"
"Yeah, let me know if she is wearing it"
"Ok, I'll send a text to you. 'Y' for is she is wearing it and 'N' for no"
"ok, you better get back to work, see you tonight Daniel"
"Ok bye" Daniel left Janet's office with a grin on his face.
Janet put her cell phone away and went back to reading the latest test results she just got back from the lab with a grin on her face.
Later that evening Daniel showed up at Sam's place. He knocked on the door and waited for her to answer it. When she opened the door, Daniel was shocked when he saw her wearing the dress.
"Wow, Sam you look great tonight, happy birthday"
"Thank you Daniel, you look great tonight also"
"Thanks, are you ready?"
"Hang on, I'll just go and get my jacket"
Then Sam went to get her Jacket that went with the dress, while She was doing that. Daniel got his phone out and texted 'Y' to Janet, then he quickly put the phone back in his pocket just before she showed up. Then they both left her house and headed to the restaurant. Fifteen minutes later they arrived and Daniel parked his car.
"Well Janet and Cassie are here, so we might as well go in," Daniel said.
"Ok"
They both got out of the car and walked into the restaurant, and saw Cassie waving out to them, so they headed to one of the big tables, when they got there they sat down.
"Sam, you look great in the dress tonight and happy birthday" Cassie said.
"Happy birthday Sam you do look great in that dress"
"Thanks guys"
Outside Jack and Jacob showed up at the same time Pete showed up.
"Colonel O'Neill"
"General acutely Pete"
"Sorry"
Pete saw Jack carrying a dozen red roses and two arterial ones with them also.
"Are they for Sam?"
"Yep after all it is her birthday"
"True, who is your friend?"
"Pete this is Jacob, Jacob, this is Pete"
"Hello" Jacob said, as he was looking the guy over.
They both shake hands, Jacob felt uncomfortable around the guy, even though he is Mark's friend.
Hammond told Jacob that Pete got a friend to do a background check on Sam and he almost found out what she did while she was on a mission a few months earlier.
"Well shell we the birthday girl awaits" Jack said as they get to the door, Jack phone rings.
"Shit" Jack tries to take the phone out of his pocket.
"Here let me hang on to them for you" Pete said
"Thanks" Jack passed the roses to Pete, and then he took his phone out of his pocket to answer it.
"Excuse me"
"We will meet you inside then" Jacob said, Jack just nodded as he answered the phone.
