Chapter 1: Worlds Fall
Destiny Islands.
It was nearing the end of the day and Sora felt a deep sense of accomplishment. The raft that he and his best friends, Riku and Kairi had been working on for the past few weeks was finally completed. All the supplies had been gathered and tomorrow, they could finally set out and see the rest of the worlds. For years, it had been Sora's dream to see what was beyond Destiny Islands instead of just playing on the island, pretending to go on grand quests. Soon, they would be having a real adventure, not just pretending to have one, as they had always dreamed of since they were small.
Riku had already left the island to rest for the journey tomorrow. Kairi had wanted to stay and watch the sunset and Sora decided to keep her company until she was ready to return home. The two of them sat on the edge of the dock watching the sun slowly set. "You know," Kairi began to say, "Riku has changed," she said softly.
"What do you mean?" Sora asked and Kairi seemed to be at a loss for words. "Well…" she tried to say.
"You okay?" Sora asked her in concern. Kairi then suddenly said, "Sora, let's take the raft and go. Just the two of us!" she exclaimed.
"What?!" Sora spluttered in shock wondering what had come over Kairi while trying to hide a blush at the thought of being alone with her.
Kairi then started giggling. "Just kidding!" she said as she giggled.
"What's gotten into you?" Sora asked her. "You're the one who's changed, Kairi," he said.
"Maybe…" Kairi whispered softly. "You know, I was afraid at first, but now I'm ready," she said her violet blue eyes filling with determination. "No matter where I go, or what I see, I know I can always come back here," she stated before she looked at Sora and asked, "Right?"
"Yeah, of course!" replied Sora with no hesitation in his voice. Kairi turned to look back at the sunset.
"Sora? Don't ever change," Kairi then said.
"Hmm?" Sora looked at Kairi oddly. Kairi then stood up from her spot. "I just can't wait, once we set sail," she said to herself. "It'll be great," she added with a smile.
"You want me to take you home?" Sora asked her shyly. Kairi giggled and replied, "Thank you, but I don't wanna leave my boat here all night, but thanks anyway," she said kindly. A few minutes later, Kairi returned to the main island and Sora not long after her.
Sora entered the house and called out, "Mom? I'm home!"
Sora's mother walked into view with a smile on her lips. "Hey, kiddo, how was your day?" she asked as she briefly rubbed the top of Sora's head with one hand.
"It was good, Mom," replied Sora.
"So, you and your friends are finally setting out to see the worlds tomorrow on your raft?" Sora's mother asked with a knowing smile.
Sora blanched. "How did you…?" he tried to ask. They had promised not to tell their parents what they were going to do, telling them that they were going to spend the week on the play island. No doubt their parents would try to stop them from leaving if they knew the real reason.
Sora's mother gave a mysterious and knowing smile. "I'm your mother, I know everything," she said simply. When Sora tried to say something to explain himself, she cut him off. "Don't worry, I'm not going to stop you." Sora looked up at her in confusion. "Your father wanted to do the same thing at your age, but his uncle held him back until he was eighteen…"
Sora's mother kneeled down so that she was eye level with Sora. "You two are so much alike," she murmured softly and she looked almost sad as she said it and Sora frowned.
"You keep telling me that and that he loves me, but if he did, then why did he leave?" he asked.
Sora's mother smile turned sadder and she replied, "Your father had his reasons… and, well… I can't tell you just yet."
"When are you gonna stop treating me like a kid?!" Sora whined.
An amused grin cracked on his mother's lips and she replied, "If I did, I wouldn't let you go off on that raft now, would I?" she chuckled before sighing softly. "Sora, when I was younger, I made a lot of bad choices and did a lot of bad things… things that looking back, I wish I could change, things that I have to live with for the rest of my life and have paid dearly for. The worlds may not be as safe as they once were, and your father had a feeling that something big was coming. He left to try and stop it, but I fear it may already be too late. All I can say to you is to be careful and may your heart be your guiding key," she said.
"What does that mean?" Sora asked. Sora's mother smiled fondly as she stood to her feet and ruffled his hair. "Just wash up and be ready. Dinner's in five," she said.
Sora headed up to his room and washed his hands before laying back on his bed to wait until dinner was ready. Soon, he and Kairi and Riku would be off to explore the outside worlds.
"I just can't wait, until we set sail. It'll be great." Kairi's voice echoed in Sora's mind then looking out the window, Sora saw a large dark storm brewing over the play island. "A storm? Oh no! The raft!" Sora gasped. Quickly opening his bedroom window, Sora climbed down and ran towards the dock to his boat just as his mother called, "Sora! Dinner's ready! Sora?"
Sora's mother looked out the window and saw her son already rowing across the ocean towards the play island where dark clouds rumbled and thundered overhead. Sighing sadly, she said, "Things are in motion… it was foolish to hope this day would never come," she whispered to herself before looking out at her son for what could be the last time. "Be safe, my son… and may the Force be with you."
…
Whiterun Hold. Skyrim.
In the city of Whiterun, a tall black armoured knight accompanied by two women strode through the gates. The knight's armour was a high quality make and well-made as it was segmented in areas to allow freedom of movement and the metal did not look to be painted, rather, it looked as though it were forged from some dark onyx metal. Along the edges of the metal were small intricate gold filigrees of interweaving patterns. Sheathed over the knight's back was a large sword, but it was not so large as to be considered a greatsword or claymore sword. If anything, it looked to be a hand-and-a-half longsword, or a bastard sword in simpler terms.
There was another sword on the knight's person, of slightly smaller size but that did not mean it was of lesser quality and this sword was sheathed on the man's right hip. Each sword looked to be forged from dark and smoky metal, with ripples like water along the blades. And set in each of them was a gleaming faceted ruby that glowed with inner fire.
The two women that walked beside the knight were of smaller height than he, and they looked different from each other. The first woman had fiery red hair that reached her shoulders that looked to be broad but still quite feminine and shapely and her physical build was lean and willowy with hard defined lines and even some scars. Three parallel diagonal stripes of dark blue paint were streaked across the woman's face, giving her a fierce warlike quality and yet, she was still quite a beauty to behold. A pair of golden amber eyes twinkled on the woman's face that gave her an almost predatory look that suited her well.
The other woman wore dark robes trimmed with red and she wore a black hood over her face. But if you looked under the hood, you would see a beautiful pale face that had glowing red eyes and dark raven black hair. Her look was mysterious and cold, like that of the moon, but with an almost serene ethereal beauty to it. If you so much as dared look into her eyes, you would be drawn into those glowing red orbs that would put you into a trance.
The redhead wore a mixture of leather, cloth and metal segments and was armed with a shield, a dagger and a bow. The brunette was armed with a simple dagger that looked to be of fine make.
As the trio entered the city, guards respectfully nodded their heads to them and townsfolk gave respectful greetings. Some children giggled and waved at the trio; the redhead gave a smile at the children and the brunette gave a simple nod yet there was a slightly softer look in her eyes. The knight gave a short wave to the children before continuing onward. Walking further into town, they soon came to the longhouse of Jorrvaskr, home of the Companions, the legendary mercenary company of Skyrim.
The dark robed woman grimaced slightly before saying, "Home sweet home," she said with dry sarcastic wit.
"We shan't be here long, Serana," the knight said to her, his voice echoing inside his helmet. "Just need to tell Vilkas that the job was done before we move onto the next," he added.
"Not worried, are you?" the redhead asked Serana, a teasing smirk on her lips.
"Werewolves and vampires don't get along, Aela. You remind me of that every time," Serana replied calmly.
"Indeed. It's wonder I haven't gutted you and turned you into a pair of boots," Aela said with a predatory gleam in her amber eyes. "Why do I put up with you?" she asked sarcastically.
"Because if one of you killed the other, I would never forgive you," the knight said stoically.
"Well, that's something to consider," Aela said dryly as she moved in a little closer to the knight. Serana also closed in on the knight's other side. Both women glared at each other which made the knight sigh and shake his head slightly. Walking a little faster, they entered the longhouse where they were greeted by the smell of mead, roasting meats, smoke and sweat. The Companions were gathered in a circle, watching two of their number go at it bareknuckle brawling. Shouts of encouragement and wagers were being made on whom would emerge victorious.
The knight and his companions watched for a moment, before the knight then spotted Vilkas, one of the senior members of the Companions. Vilkas was a tall man with a handsome scarred face, dark hair and steel blue eyes wearing steel armour with wolf designs on its and a greatsword with a dark smoky blade over his back. Vilkas then spotted the knight and waved him over.
"Greetings, Harbinger. I take that the job is done?" the Nord asked the knight who nodded silently.
"Excellent work. You bring honour to us all, Harbinger," Vilkas said before digging out a puch that jingled and clinked with gold coins and handed it over to the knight who pocketed it.
"Are there anymore contracts?" the knight asked bluntly.
Vilkas shook his head and replied, "Nay, none at the moment. Why don't you take some time off and rest?" he suggested. "Your friends could do with some," he pointed out.
"You needn't worry about me, Shield-Brother," Aela said to Vilkas. "But I suppose the leech here could do with some rest out of the sun for a while," she added with a wicked grin.
"Very funny, mangy mutt," Serana muttered sarcastically.
"Enough you two," the knight ordered them. "I suppose we could do with some rest for a day or two," he then said thoughtfully.
"Anything you say, Harbinger," Aela said demurely. The knight did not respond and walked towards the end of the hall and down the flight of stairs with Aela and Serana scrambling after him.
Vilkas gave a snort of laughter. Vilkas's twin brother, Farkas, heard him laugh and asked, "What's so funny, brother?"
"Oh, you know. The usual," Vilkas said through his chuckles. "I swear, the Harbinger is a dense one to not see how our Aela and Serana have it badly for him," he added.
"True enough," Farkas said with a crooked grin. "He may be the Dovahkiin and slayer of Alduin, but he has no idea as to how he affects women around him. Aela and Serana in particular," he added.
"Very true, little brother. Tis only a matter of time when one of them tries something to ensnare him into the bedchamber," Vilkas replied with another laugh.
"The wager is still going?"
"Indeed it is."
"Who are you betting on?" Farkas asked.
"I'm betting on Aela the Huntress, of course! When she sees something she wants, she doesn't stop until she gets it, be it prey or the Harbinger himself," said Vilkas. "Who do you have money on to win?" he asked his twin.
"I would be truly foolish to not bet on my shield-sister," Farkas said. "But Njada has her money on the vampire to win," he added.
"Hah! That'd be the day!" Vilkas gave a roar of laughter as he poured himself a mug of mead. Then there was a great cheer as there was a victor in the brawling match. Then a distant rumble of thunder was heard which Vilkas look up at the ceiling.
"Strange. I did not think there would be a storm today," he muttered before shaking his head and went to join his fellow Companions.
…
The Mojave Wasteland. The City of New Vegas.
Walking through the Westside gate onto the Strip of New Vegas was figure wearing a combination of olive-green riot armour gear and a riot helmet coupled with a long black duster coat. Slung over on the figure's back were a pair of guns; one looked to be a lever action rifle that had a Native American medicine wheel attached to the stock and a feather dangling from it, the other gun looked to be some kind of advanced energy rifle combined with a pump action shotgun or grenade rifle. On the figure's right hip was an ornate looking single action revolver with gold engravings and a pearl/ivory grip. On the left was a nickel-plated pistol that had the picture of a robed woman on the grip.
Two figures flanked the coated person. Well, one was an actual person and the other wasn't actually human. The actual person was a young woman wearing a brown rob with a hood over her head and had some kind of mechanical gauntlet on her right hand, and there was also an advanced if rusty looking hammer over her back with a pistol on her right hip. The other figure as mentioned before wasn't a human being but was instead of a floating metal spherical robot that was riddled with antenna and sensors and buzzed and chirped quietly.
The three figures strode along the Strip, lit up by the neon lights as vacationers from the NCR, and NCR soldiers caroused and enjoyed the casinos of New Vegas. Working girls from the Gomorrah Casino danced out the front to entice patrons into entering.
But the three travellers headed in the direction of only one casino; the Lucky 38. Entering the casino into the still almost eerie quietness of the casino floor, the brown robed woman spoke, "Home away from home, at last," she said with a smile.
"Mhmm," replied the armoured figure monosyllabically as he/she headed towards the bar and took a bottle of whiskey down from the shelf. With one hand, the figure pulled off the riot helmet to reveal a young woman with olive skin, dark hair with a streak of silver through it and purple-blue eyes. She was quite attractive in a way, but there were some scars on her cheeks that may deter superficial people. Unscrewing the cap of the whiskey, the woman tilted the bottle and skolled all the amber liquid until there was none left. Smacking her lips appreciatively, the woman rolled her shoulders, feeling the bones pop as she did so. Looking at her companion who had watched her with a bemused expression, she said, "What?"
"Still can't get over how fast you drink, or eat for that matter," the brown robed woman said. "Do you even taste it?" she asked.
"I do taste what I consume, but I usually don't have time to," replied the woman as she took down another bottle of whiskey from the shelf and popped the cap and drank from it, this time taking small slow sips of the amber liquid.
"Well, aren't you worried?" the brown-robed woman asked.
"About what?"
"That you might have problem?"
"I don't have a problem," said the woman. "It's the world that has problems," she added.
"True enough, but is the solution sitting at the bottom of each bottle you drink from?"
"What's your point, Veronica?"
Veronica looked at her friend with sympathy in her eyes and said, "I worry about you, y'know? You refuse to let anyone get close to you. At most, you just sleep with them and then disappear, and then there is your drinking habit. You're probably worse than Cass."
The woman smiled coldly at Veronica and said, "I don't get close to anyone because it usually ends up hurting me. And besides, I'm not lonely. I've got everything I need in life."
"We all need someone in our life, Courier," Veronica said softly. "We all want family and loved ones," she added.
"Tch, you sound like Arcade talking about family," Courier said sarcastically. "And need I remind you what your family was like?" she pointed.
"Okay, yeah, the Brotherhood wasn't ideal in terms of family, but since I joined you and the others all those months ago, I felt like we were family," Veronica said sincerely.
Courier gave a melancholic smile before replying. "Trust me, Veronica. You wouldn't want me as family, I'd only get you hurt," she said softly before taking a sip of her whiskey.
"Well, at least I talk to you about it," Veronica said tiredly. "I'm gonna go see the others, if that's okay with you," she added.
"Be my guest."
Veronica then entered the elevator and pressed the button for the en-suite rooms.
Courier was left alone at the bar with her bottle of whiskey. Looking at the bottle, she shrugged and took another swig of the potent alcohol. Then the floating robot buzzed and chirped, causing Courier to look at the robot.
"A storm? Huh, didn't think there'd be one today," Courier said dryly, her words slurring slightly as she finished off her whiskey and put her helmet back on.
…
Sora arrived on the play island and floating above the island was a large dark sphere. "What is that?" Sora asked himself as he looked up at the giant dark floating orb. Sora then turned to see two boats he recognised. "Riku's boat? And Kairi's!" he exclaimed
Then lifting themselves up from the sand were creatures made of darkness, each with beady golden eyes. Sora's eyes widened in recognition; he'd had a dream of these creatures a few days back. Pulling out his wooden sword, Sora attacked the first one nearest to him; the wooden toy weapon simply passed through the creature harmlessly. Sensing he could not fight these creatures without a proper weapon, Sora opted to run past them and see if could find Riku or Kairi.
Running past the shadow creatures, Sora saw Riku standing on the small island where they would sit and watch the sunset. Running past the creatures and across the bridge, Sora shouted, "Where's Kairi? I thought she was with you!" Sora shouted at Riku who didn't seem too bothered by what was happening.
"The door… has been opened," Riku said quietly.
This only confused Sora. "What?!"
"The door has been opened, Sora! Now we can go to the outside worlds!" Riku exclaimed in manic excitement.
"What are you talking about?! We gotta find Kairi!" Sora yelled.
"Kairi's coming with us!" Riku said confidently. "Once we step through, we might not be able to come back. We may never see our parents again. There's no turning back, but this may be our only chance. We can't let fear stop us! I'm not afraid of the darkness!" he declared.
Riku then stretched his hand out to Sora just as tendrils of darkness began to wrap around him. Sora struggle to reach his friend's hand to pull out of the darkness, but no matter what he did, he could not reach him. Then everything went black. Suddenly a bright light filled the darkness banishing it and Sora opened his eyes to see in his right, a strange sword shaped like a key and in the corridors of his mind, Sora heard a word.
Keyblade… Keyblade…
…
As Dragonborn entered his quarters with Aela and Serana, he undid the strap of his helmet and then lifted the helm off his head, revealing his face. He had somewhat pale skin with short silver-blonde hair and dark purple-blue almost black eyes. A long scar that started from the bottom of his left cheek stretched diagonally across his face, going his nose and ending at the hairline of his temple. Despite the scar across his face, he was quite handsome in a strong and aristocratic way, a look befitting a warrior-king. Not that Dragonborn thought that about himself; in his own view, he was someone who was just very good at killing things that couldn't be killed.
Smiles passed over Aela and Serana's faces as Dragonborn took off his helmet. Sitting down on the large comfortable tucked against the wall, Dragonborn unslung his swords and rested them against the edge of the bed.
"Feeling tired yet?" Aela asked him.
"Not especially," Dragonborn replied blandly as he rubbed the back of his neck with one gauntleted hand.
"Don't lie to us, Dragonborn. You need rest as much as any man," Serana told him. "Can't you take a day-off to rest and relax?" she asked him as she sat beside the man of her affection.
Dragonborn looked at the vampire quizzically who fidgeted under his gaze before saying, "I just don't want you passing out or dying from exhaustion. If you don't take time to rest, it'll catch up with you," she said.
"Much as I hate to agree with the bloodsucker, she's right," Aela said. "Every warrior needs rest, and you need it especially," she pointed out.
Dragonborn at both Aela and Serana before humming and saying, "Neither of you are going to let this go?" he asked. Both the she-wolf and vampire nodded in reply. Sighing softly, Dragonborn said, "I suppose I can take a day to rest."
"Glad to see you're listening to reason for once," Aela smiled before the sudden skittering of something alerted them.
Looking at the doorway, the three saw a small black creature with beady yellow eyes and antenna on its head.
"What manner of creature is that?" Aela asked as her hand slowly moved to her dagger.
"Did you summon it, Serana?" Dragonborn asked Serana who shook her head and replied, "No. And I've never summoned anything like that thing before!"
Dragonborn cautiously moved towards the strange creature and spoke to it, "What manner of being are you? Some kind of Daedra?" he asked.
The creature did not respond. Instead, it lashed out with sharp black claws. Dragonborn leaned back in time, avoiding the swipe. Moving back, he grabbed his swords and helmet and said, "Definitely not friendly."
Then appearing out of the floor were more of the strange creature, they all skittered before leaping towards Dragonborn and his companions.
…
Courier entered the en-suite rooms but found only Veronica who was looking around. "Veronica? Where is everyone?" she asked the former Brotherhood scribe.
"I don't know. I was hoping you might know," Veronica said.
"Well, I didn't see anyone," Courier said. Looking at her Eye-bot companion, she asked it, "ED-E, has anyone entered here or left in the last few minutes?"
ED-E beeped and chirped in response. "What do you mean they disappeared?" Courier asked. "They can't have disappeared into thin air!" she stated.
"Uhh… Courier?" came Veronica's voice. Looking at Veronica, Courier then saw what Veronica was looking at.
A strange inky black creature with bright yellow eyes hopped back and forth, staring up at Veronica.
"What the fuck is that thing?" Courier swore as her hand went to her revolver.
"Some kind of mutant?" Veronica postulated. She then looked at the small creature and spoke to it. "Hey, little guy, do you know where everyone went?" she asked in a friendly voice.
The little creature did not speak, but it only leapt at the Scribe, trying to swipe her face with its claws. Courier reacted immediately, her revolver drawn and fired a .357 magnum round from it. With a sharp bang, the bullet struck the creature which exploded in a mist of black smoke.
"Thanks!" Veronica said to Courier who replied, "Don't mention it."
Then rising out of the floor were more the shadowy creatures.
"Ah, shit, here we go!" Courier swore as she cocked her gun as the creatures surged forward.
…
Sora used his new weapon to strike down the shadow creatures finding they went down more easily than they did with his wooden sword. Sora destroyed as many of them as he could, but for every one of the creatures he struck down, three more took its place.
Sora then saw a strange door to the passage to the secret place. Feeling that might be where Kairi could be, Sora dashed for the door, opening it and sprinting down the passage where he found Kairi standing in front of the strange door with now doorknob. "Kairi!" Sora called in worry.
Kairi turned and looked at Sora with sleepy eyes. "Sora…" she managed to say. Then the door with no handle burst opened and a great gust of wind came out and pushed Kairi towards Sora. Sora tried to catch Kairi as she flew towards him, but she disappeared upon contact which shocked him. The wind intensified and Sora eventually lost his footing and he was blown back down the passage outside.
…
After fighting through the hoard of strange shadow creatures, Dragonborn, Serana and Aela emerged from the living quarters and saw that Jorrvaskr had been completely destroyed and Whiterun was also being destroyed. High above the city was a great orb of darkness that was seemingly sucking everything in a great vacuum.
"What in Oblivion is going on here?!" Aela shouted as she looked around at the devastation.
Dragonborn looked around too, but there was a sudden shake of the ground. Turning around to look behind him, Dragonborn then saw a gargantuan shadow creature that towered above everyone.
"I think we've found the leader," Dragonborn said to his companions dryly.
"What kind of creature is that?!" Serana yelled as her right hand crackled with a thunderbolt.
"I was hoping you could tell me!" Aela shouted as she nocked an arrow to her bow.
Dragonborn did not say anything, he simply charged at the monster that swung its great clawed fist towards him.
…
Courier finished reloading her revolver before pulling back the hammer with her thumb. Veronica punched another shadow creature with her power fist in an explosion of electricity. ED-E blasted another with his laser, destroying it.
"What the hell is going on?!" Veronica shouted as they made their to the penthouse suite only to find the roof completely ripped and seeing the entire city of New Vegas being lifted in the air and surrounded by darkness.
"Holy shit!" Courier swore as she looked at the destruction. She had seen a lot of things in her journey, but she had never seen anything like this before.
"Courier?"
Turning around, Courier saw Veronica was looking at an even bigger shadow creature that loomed over them.
"So you're the leader, huh?" Courier asked the creature mockingly. "Well, you've got balls attacking my city, but I've faced down bigger and badder things then you!" she said as she pulled her lever action rifle and lifted the lever and fired a shot at the creature.
…
When Sora came to, he saw that he was standing on what remained of Destiny Island and his eyes widened in horror. "Whoa!" he gasped then standing in the middle was the giant shadow creature from his dreams. Charging at the monster with his new Keyblade, Sora ran towards the creature just as it slammed one hand down into the ground and springing up from the creature's fist was more shadow creatures. Sora quickly eliminated them before running up the larger one's arm and he began to slash at the thing's head several times.
Jumping off knowing he did enough damage to it, Sora saw the monster being sucked up into the dark sphere above the island. Realising he was going to be sucked in too, Sora latched onto a tree branch, holding on like grim death, but to his dismay, Sora was sucked up into the dark sphere and he gave a scream of fear and despair as he was sucked into darkness. As the darkness claimed him, Sora heard a voice in his head "Sora, these are your first steps."
…
Dragonborn stabbed his sword repeatedly at the shadow monster's head, while Aela fired arrows at it and Serana flung bolts of thunder and spears of ice at it. Then seemingly killed by the attacks, the creature floated up into the darkness.
Looking around and seeing that nothing had changed, Dragonborn said, "That should've worked!"
"Dragonborn!" Looking over, Dragonborn saw his companions being sucked up into the darkness. Sprinting over and jumping in the air, Dragonborn grabbed both Aela and Serana by their hands. With all his considerable strength, Dragonborn pulled them down towards him and tried to stick himself into the ground to prevent them from being sucked up into the dark void.
Aela and Serana wrapped their arms around Dragonborn's neck and with a forceful thrust, Dragonborn stabbed his sword into the ground, anchoring them to it. But after a moment, the sword was loosened from the earth and with a great sucking sound, the three companions were sucked up into darkness.
…
Courier fired a blast from her holorifle at the monster's face, the explosion of light particles burning into its face. Veronica swung her super-sledge into the thing's chin, snapping its head. With that final blow, the monster was then sucked up into the darkness.
"Nice work!" Courier said to Veronica who nodded in response. But looking around, nothing had changed.
"I don't understand! Why isn't everything going back to normal?!" Veronica shouted.
"ED-E! How do we stop this?!" Courier shouted to her Eye-Bot who beeped and chirped frantically in response.
"What do you mean it's too late?!" Courier demanded and ED-E buzzed angrily. Courier was about to give the robot a piece of her mind when Veronica's scream alerted her.
"Courier! Help!" Courier saw Veronica was hanging by her fingers on a piece of masonry as she being sucked upwards. Gritting her teeth, Courier launched herself and grabbed the ex-scribe by the wrist, trying to pull her back down.
But this only ended up with all of them sucked upwards into the dark void.
On the ground below, a robed figure undisturbed by the chaos spoke cryptically.
"This world has been connected…"

A/N: There, this is over and done with. Just thought I'd try this out and see if it gets anything. Let me know what you think of it and I might do some more.
