My sense of hearing was the first tell that something was wrong.

I woke up to the sound of cars zooming by, and the hustle and bustle of the big city. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense, considering that I lived in the suburbs. After that was my sense of touch. I was no longer in a warm and comfy bed, but was instead on a cold and dirty patch of what felt to be concrete.

After that was my sense of smell. I nearly threw up in my mouth with how disgusting my surroundings smelled. It was so pungent, so foul and horrific, I could practically taste it with my returned sense of smell.

Finally, I opened my eyes, quickly clearing out the bleariness of sleep, to be met with a bright cyan scree.

Quirk Gacha (2)

R – Strong Arm – Fully rotate your shoulders and turn your arms into a machine gun of deadly punches

C – Glycerin – Produce a soothing liquid in place of sweat that allows for youthful look, regardless of age

"… The fuck am I looking at?" I said in confusion, staring intensely at the screen in front of me. I feel like I should be dreaming, but a quick pinch test proved that to be false. A few moments later, a new screen appeared in front of me.

Would you like to view the Quirk Gacha tutorial?

I pondered this for a moment, not that there would be any reason to say no, but it's the principal of the thing damn it. I took a second before settling on 'yes'.

Quirk Gacha Basics! ^~^

The Quirk Gacha is a system that randomly gives its user a new quirk any time its used, and can range from the quirks of heroes, villains, civilians, or anything in between from the hit anime and manga My Hero Academia (Or Boku no Hero Academia if you're annoying _)

These rankings go in the series of C, U, R, SR, UR, and P, being judged as such for their use in combat

C- Common- This quirk is either very weak or isn't useful for direct combat, though that doesn't mean that it wouldn't help in other situations

U – Uncommon – These quirks are better than what would be put in Common quirks, but not necessarily good enough to be put in the categories above, normally these would be support quirks or quirks with massive drawbacks

R – Rare – These quirks are strong, and can get you a long way if you tarin them right, though they are far from the top

SR – Super Rare – These quirks can level a building with their power, or can be used in creative ways that can steamroll a team of enemies

UR – Ultra Rare – These are the quirks that can level a city block at full strength, be careful not to hit civilians ;)

P – Pinnacle – These quirks are the peak, the cream of the crop, and cannot be stopped under almost any circumstance, getting one of these can basically make you a super boss

That was… both incredibly informative and downright terrifying at the same time. I basically have a roll of the dice to decide a superpower. I thought about what was next and the screen shifted again.

The gacha can be used by giving it Gacha Coins, which are acquired through significant feats, whatever they may be.

Each spin requires one coin, and using extra can (slightly) increase your chances at getting higher ranked quirks.

I have no idea what they meant by the term 'significant feats'. That could really be anything, but it doesn't seem like the screen was interested in telling me what it meant, as it was gone the second after I finished reading it.

I got up to look around more, seeing that I was in a dark and slimy alleyway. I was suddenly made aware of how disgusting my surroundings were, and by extension, how disgusting I was. I looked out to the street nearby, and into the inner city that laid just beyond the walls I was standing between. It was almost like heaven in comparison to what was behind me. Turning around I saw an incredibly overfilled dumpster and pinched my nose.

"Well at least I know what that putrid smell was." I grumbled to myself, knowing that I likely smelled just as horribly.

Walking out into the busy street I noticed that I was significantly taller than the majority of people around me. I stood there looking at the people I now dwarfed in size, noticing that they seemed to want to avoid me. Understandable, I could still smell that trash, so it was likely a stench that stuck to me.

This did, however, make me pat myself down. I felt muscles, huge muscles. I looked down to see a figure that belonged in either a body building competition or in a JoJo rip-off. I was wearing a simple white sleeveless shirt and form fitting back pants, both of which only accentuated my now more jacked up form.

Before now I was by no means obese, but I certainly was not more toned than Arnold Schwarzenegger on steroids. I decided to stop ogling myself and walked forward, hoping to find a shop to see my face with, which has likely changed.

Seeing a store, I looked over to the window and into my reflections. I breathed a sigh of relief I didn't know I was even holding. I still looked like myself, slicked back dark chocolate hair, similar eye color, sharp chin and jaw, though all of my facial hair was gone. That was good, was getting close to shaving time anyways.

I stopped focusing on my reflection, and was about to continue wandering, but was stopped when I saw what was being sold in the store. Crystals and jars of colored powders were what lined the shelves. Now I'm even more confused. What kind of store is this?

Looking up, I nearly had a damn heart attack.

From Dust Till Dawn

I was on Remnant, from Rwby. There's no doubt in my mind about it. It could be easy to assume that this world would be a breeze to get through, but I would be one to disagree.

First of all, the majority of the world is filled with unthinking and unwavering murderous monsters commanded by an immortal magic mastermind that hates her ex-husband and was responsible for basically all humans of her time to die because she rebelled against the gods that created them. Second of all was the fact that even without her being involved those with huntsmen training can be incredibly dangerous, especially if you have had none of the same kind of training to counter them. Third of all…

I don't have any fucking citizenship papers.

I am basically an illegal immigrant in this world, and I have no idea if I'm going to have any way to get around that. I'm either going to have to claim I came from a village destroyed by Grimm, or do something illegal to get by.

Either way it's going to be an absolute shitshow.

A few hours have passed and I had gone through a few stores, looking for a way to sneak out any food or clothing for the night. I obviously was not speced out for a thief, so I failed to even find an opportunity.

I had eventually left the inner city into a more desolate area, which seemed to be an old industrial part of the city had become dilapidated due to lack of use. I eventually settled into hiding out in this old factory building for the night.

I made my way over to a door, which was chained up with a lock on it. Thinking for a moment I remembered the gacha, and the quirks I acquired from it. I currently had Strong arm and Glycerin, one of which wouldn't help me here, but the other would help massively, though I don't assume one would need to guess which was which.

Pulling back my fist, I felt the muscles, tendons, and bones in my shoulder shift and rotate, before unleashing it into the door. The door was completely blown off its hinges, and swung the other door along with it, holding onto it with the chains.

Walking in I found a factory floor that was completely scraped, there was almost nothing apart from the floor and overhanging walkways that overlooked the factory floor. I decided to head up to the walkway to turn in, as it would potentially be less likely to have rats. When I got up there, I leaned up against a rail, and looked up into a skylight, likely made as a way to reduce electrical costs, to look directly into the sky.

I reconfirmed where I was when I saw the shattered moon. The night sky wasn't as beautiful here, though that might be from the light pollution from the city.

Laying down on the walkway, I attempted to rest a bit before figuring out my next course of action.

That however, was stopped when I heard the creaking of doors, and the sounds of footsteps.

"Well boss we're here, Roman's guys should be here soon with the goods."

"I know Jack, we all know! Gods it's like you're narrating for an audience or something. It really pisses me off when you do that."

…shit
