After an awful car ride home with Trina that involved non-stop singing, Tori is glad to be home. She's also glad that it's Friday night and she can stay home and reflect on all that's happened today. She really needs the alone time to sort out the feelings that seem to be coming up. Especially with what happened or almost happened between her and Jade up on stage today when they were playing a married couple.

She doesn't know what came over her. Jade just looked so beautiful. Jade's blue eyes were shining and Jade was biting her lip. Next thing she knew, Tori was feeling this overwhelming urge to kiss Jade. She didn't even know what was happening until she was leaning in, bringing herself closer to Jade's face. Tori doesn't know if she would have kissed Jade or not if she hadn't been interrupted by Sikowitz.

She's kind of grateful for the interruption though. She doesn't even want to imagine the look on Jade's face if she has kissed her.

Tori knows Jade has kissed a girl before. Tori saw as much earlier that day but she doesn't know if it extends further than that. Even if it did, Tori almost kissed her. Tori probably could have chalked it up to it being because of the scene. Using some excuse like it was what the scene needed at the moment. Jade might have bought that but if she didn't, it would be Tori's biggest nightmare.

Tori spends the next hour writing down all her feelings from today in her diary. She's in the middle of writing a thought down when the doorbell rings. She hastily finishes the sentence she was in the middle of writing and gets up to see who's at the door.

When she opens the door, she's met with bright red hair and a bright smile. "Cat, what are you doing here?"

Cat smoothly slips into the house and plops down on Tori's couch. "I wanted to check in on you after what happened in Sikowitz's class."

Tori stands there awkwardly. Slowly she rubs the back of her neck. "What do you mean?" Tori inquiries nervously.

Cat sits up and looks Tori up and down. She tilts her head before replying "I guess Andre was right."

Tori puts her hand on her forehead and shakes her head. "What does Andre have to do with what we were talking about?"

Cat laughs, "he said you had at home glasses and now that I'm seeing them, he's right. You totally have at home glasses."

Tori touches her face and when she feels her glasses, she takes them off and sets them down on the table. "Why does everyone always notice that?"

"Dunno" Cat answers while looking around the house distractedly.

Tori sighs and remembers her initial question. "Anyways, what did you mean when you said you wanted to check on me?"

Cat sits there for a few minutes. "What? Why are you looking at me like that?"

Tori runs her hands through her hair in frustration. "I asked you a question."

"Oh, right. You were so good in class and I wanted to see if you were tired."

"Tired?" Tori questions. "Why would I be tired?"

Cat looks at her weirdly. "Cause when Sikowitz called to end the scene your eyes were all wide and you had these lines underneath them and stuff. I assumed it was because you were tired."

Tori breathes a sigh of relief at Cat not realizing she was panicking up on stage. "I'm okay Cat."

Cat looks uncertain. "Are you sure?"

"Yes," Tori smiles gently.

"You promise?" Cat questions with speculation while playing with her fingers.

"I promise" Tori answers firmly with a small smile.

Cat squeals a little in happiness. "Okay. Do you want me to leave now?"

Tori sits down beside Cat and turns on the TV. "You can stay. I don't mind the company."

Cat smiles mischievously and Tori's about to ask about it when Cat calls out to someone. "You can come on in. She said she's cool with company."

A few seconds later, Tori's door is opening and Andre, Beck, and Robbie are coming into her house. "Cat!?" Tori shouts in surprise.

Cat smiles sheepishly. "You said you were okay with the company and they were here waiting for me to give the signal."

When everyone is inside, they decide to watch movies for a few hours. Robbie and Beck decide to grab drinks for everyone while Andre makes two bowls of popcorn. Cat and Tori get up from off the couch and go over to Tori's parents' movie collection to browse what to watch. The boys agreed that the girls could pick whatever they wanted to watch for the first movie while the girls agreed the boys could pick whatever they want for the second movie they watch. While everyone is in the middle of doing their tasks, Tori's front door opens again.

Nobody really seems to notice because they're busy with their tasks until it slams closed. "Sorry I'm late" Jade announces into the house.

Tori glares at Jade from her position on the floor where she and Cat are going through her parent's DVD collection. "Did you have to slam the door?"

Jade smiles mischievously just like Cat did not too long ago. "No," Jade says curtly.

"Then why did you?" Tori asks with irritation laced in her voice.

Jade smirks and looks directly into Tori's eyes "because I can."

Tori rolls her eyes and drops the topic. She needs to pick a movie and it's not like she's going to get anywhere with it when it comes to Jade. After about five minutes Cat, Jade and Tori have all agreed on a movie.

While everyone finds a place to sit on the couch, Tori pops the movie into the DVD player. When she turns around, she sees Cat to the far left, Andre in the middle and Robbie to Andre's left at the far end on the couch furthest from the door. Meanwhile, Jade and Beck are on the couch closest to the door. There's no room on the couch to the right so Tori decides she has to sit on the couch where Beck and Jade are. Beck is at the edge closest to Robbie where the couches face each other. While Jade is sitting in the middle and Tori is stuck at the end, to Jade's right.

Tori doesn't realize just how little room they have on the couch until she sits down beside Jade and their shoulders brush against each other. Tori swears the couch must have shrunk or something because there's no way the couch is small enough to force her and Jade to sit that close together.

Tori looks over at Beck and realizes why there's so little room. He's got a very large bowl of popcorn between himself and Jade. Tori shakes her head and wishes she hadn't said she didn't really want any. Andre, Robbie and Cat have their popcorn on the table for when one of the three of them wants some but Beck has it right on the couch.

Tori desperately wishes she was sitting on the other couch because Jade is so close to her and all she can focus on is Jade. It doesn't help that Jade's perfume smells amazing and she's hyper aware of every little movement Jade's body makes. Tori tries really hard not to stiffen from being this close to Jade after all the feelings she's been having for her.

Half way through the movie Tori is fidgeting so much in her spot on the couch that Jade is starting to get annoyed. Jade is basically on Tori with how close they've been forced to sit next to each other so she can feel the couch move every time Tori does.

The tapping doesn't seem to be heard by anyone else because nobody looks bothered by it. Jade however is bothered by it and decides she needs to put a stop to it. Jade figures she can get Tori to stop with the simplest touch possible. Jade reaches out and places her right hand on Tori's left thigh to get her to stop bouncing her leg. When Jade's hand makes contact with Tori's thigh the bouncing instantly stops.

Tori starts to panic but she tries to push it down and looks over to Jade in question but Jade's focus is on the movie in front of her. Tori has no idea what's going on in Jade's mind but the feelings that Jade is invoking by touching her thigh are not the cleanest thoughts. She tries to gently shake Jade's hand off her thigh but once her leg starts to move again, Jade's grip on her thigh tightens ever so slightly. She probably wouldn't have noticed under normal circumstances but she's so aware of Jade while sitting beside her that she felt the squeeze.

"Calm down" Jade whispers quietly while staring at the TV.

Tori keeps staring at Jade. "How can I calm down if your hand is on my thigh?"

Jade smirks. "I know I'm gorgeous and all but I didn't think you'd be so nervous to have me touch you considering you weren't nervous when it came to touching my face in front of the whole class a few hours ago."

Tori rolls her eyes and huffs quietly. "That is a completely different situation and you know it is." Tori whispers defensively.

Jade turns away from the TV and meets Tori's eyes. "How is it? You touched me in public and it's only fair that I return the favour."

"It's different because we're with our friends and it wasn't dark. Also, I touched your face. Not your thigh. That's two totally different things."

Jade shrugs. "If it makes you so uncomfortable you can touch mine too. Go ahead, I don't mind."

Tori's heart starts to race rapidly in her chest. "What?"

Jade laughs quietly at the blush on Tori's face. "You can touch my thigh too."

Tori's eyes reflect confusion or maybe panic when Jade takes a long look at her. "I don't want to touch your thigh. I want you to stop touching mine."

Jade makes a mental note to remember how Tori reacts to her in future situations like this. "If you say so. Truthfully, I only touched you because your constant leg tapping was driving me crazy. If you calm down, I'll take my hand away."

Tori takes a few deep breaths and nods her head. "I'm calm now. You can take your hand back."

Jade waits a few seconds before confidently deciding Tori's calm enough for her to remove her hand. "Good. You better be because next time I'll just push you off the couch and you can sit on the floor" she replies as she removes her hand.

When Jade has turned back to watch the rest of the movie Tori manages to successfully get her heart rate back under control. She's never felt like that around Jade before. It's a strange feeling and Tori knows she needs to keep her cool or everyone is going to catch onto her awkwardness. She doesn't need her friends questioning her about this when she can barely understand what she's feeling for herself.

"By the way," Jade speaks softly. "I think it's cute that you get nervous when I'm close to you. I didn't know you liked me enough to get freaked out when I touch you. If I didn't know any better, I'd think you have a crush on me. It would explain you walking in on me."

Tori groans. "Are you ever going to let that go?"

Tori knows what Jade's going to say before she says it so she's not surprised when Jade replies with a wide mischievous grin. "Nope," she answers.

"We both know that was an accident. I didn't even know you were in there."

Jade gives her a disbelieving look before replying. "Whatever you need to tell yourself so you can sleep at night Vega."

Tori huffs and crosses her arms over her chest. Tori figures she should just let it go after that. Mostly because she feels like she's gone through enough embarrassment for a lifetime and doesn't want to add to it.

When the first movie is over, the second one goes on and it ends up much like the first one did. After the third movie is over, it's a little past midnight and the gang decides to take a break and Andre turns on the lights. Tori gets up from off the couch and heads outside to get some fresh air after being sat beside Jade for the duration of two long movies.

André follows behind Tori and closes the back door behind himself when he's outside.

"Hey Tori" he greets from Tori's right.

"Hi Andre," Tori greets back.

André takes a good look at Tori and starts to worry. "How are you feeling? You look a bit stressed out and you've been acting a little strange the last few hours."

Tori sighs loudly and puts her head in her hands. "I am so freaking out."

André's eyebrows furrow. "What?" He asks.

Tori takes her hands away from her face and repeats herself. "I'm totally freaking out Andre."

André puts his hand on her shoulder. "Hey, I'm sure everything will be okay Tori."

Tori turns to him with a panicked look. "I'm not so sure about that André."

Andre tilts his head slightly. "What makes you say that?" He asks with open curiosity in his eyes.

"I uh…" Tori pauses. "I'm having these feelings for someone I shouldn't be having feelings for and I don't know what to do about it."

André looks thoughtful. "Why shouldn't you have feelings for whoever it is you have feelings for?"

Tori looks down at her hands in nervousness. "Well, for one this person happens to be an ex of a friend and I don't want to be the person that goes after someone who's dated a friend again."

André frowns deeply. "I'm guessing you're referring to when you kissed your ex-boyfriend Danny while he was dating Cat?"

Tori frowns and looks up to meet Andre's eyes. Andre can still see the guilt in Tori's eyes for kissing Danny when he was dating Cat. "Yeah," Tori replies dejectedly, "but I don't want to go after my friend's ex. It doesn't sit right with me."

"Do I know this friend's ex?" Andre inquiries gently.

Tori frowns deepens even more as she replies, "you do."

Andre's eyes widen as a realization hits him. "Do you have feelings for Beck?" André questions in mild shock.

Tori hits him on the arm. "Keep it down, everyone is inside."

"So, it is Beck," André replies confidently. "I knew it."

Tori rolls her eyes and looks pointedly at Andre. "It's not Beck."

André's back to being confused. "You're the one who said I know this person and that you can't like them because they're a friend's ex so how could it not be Beck? Nobody else in our friend group had dated besides Beck and Jade. I mean, Cat and Robbie have this thing… but that's not dating. It has to be Beck."

Tori winces slightly and plays with the ends of her sleeves. "It's not Beck… it's Jade."

André looks at her as if she's grown a second head. "Excuse me? I think I misheard you. I know I must be hearing things because it sounded like you said Jade. As in Jade West."

Tori suddenly feels shy admitting it out loud. She's been having these thoughts and feelings for Jade all day and now she can't look Andre in the eyes when she finally tells someone about it. "You're not hearing things. That's what I said. I think I like Jade and I'm freaking out about it."

André suddenly has this smug look on his face. "Does this have anything to do with you almost kissing Jade on stage today?"

Tori throws her arms up in exasperation and groans. "Ugh, how many people are going to ask me about that? I haven't been able to stop thinking about it, trust me."

André smirks at the implication Tori unknowing just made. "You couldn't stop thinking about it huh? Thinking about kissing Jade is so good that it hasn't left your mind?"

"Andreeee," Tori wines in protest at him teasing her about the complex situation she's currently stuck in.

"Okay, okay. I'm sorry," Andre tells her sincerely.

Tori smiles momentarily but goes back to looking glum. "I don't know what to do. This is all so crazy to even think about, let alone wrap my head around. I don't even know when I started to like Jade."

Andre puts his hand under his chin and strokes it as he thinks. "Maybe you didn't notice a change in your feelings because there wasn't one."

Tori looks utterly confused at the implication that Andre is trying to suggest to her. "What are you referring to?" Tori asks quizzically.

Andre chooses his next words carefully. He doesn't want to confuse Tori further nor does he want to be harsh with the way he points out what may be happening with Tori. "Maybe you didn't notice a change in your feelings for Jade... because you've always liked her."

Tori doesn't say anything. She just stands there and ponders the possibility. Andre figures she needs the time to just think and he puts his arm around Tori to offer her as much comfort as possible without saying anything to her. Tori seems to get the message Andre is trying to send her because she leans her head on his shoulder. "Thank you," Tori mumbles.

While Tori and Andre were outside Jade went to use the bathroom and Cat followed after her. When Jade comes out of the bathroom her and Cat have a conversation of their own about Tori.

Cat leans against the wall. "What's going on with you and Tori?"

Jade stops when she spots Cat at the end of the hall. "Ugh, can we please talk about anything else?"

Cat pushes off against the wall and stands. "I'm just wondering if something is happening there. It seemed like there was an energy or something between you guys during the movie."

Jade starts to approach Cat. "There wasn't any energy between us. She was bouncing her leg like crazy and it was starting to annoy me so I got her to stop."

"That's it?" Cat asks as she tries to study Jade's body language and tone of voice.

Jade narrows her eyes at Cat. "That's all."

Cat winks at Jade. "We'll continue this little talk later."

Jade starts to walk away from her. "No, we won't," she calls out to Cat.

After Jade comes down from the upstairs bathroom Jade catches Tori and Andre hugging outside. She watches for a few minutes before knocking on the glass door and calling out to both Andre and Tori. "Hurry up with your love fest so we can all watch the last movie and go home."

Tori and Andre are so surprised by the interruption that they break apart in shock. Tori and Andre share a look with each other before heading back inside. After both of them are inside again Tori notices the popcorn is put away.

"Are we watching another movie?" Andre asks the gang.

Beck shakes his head. "It's getting kind of late and I have to get home to finish up the last of my homework."

"Beck is my ride so I'm heading out too," Robbie tells the gang.

Jade looks at all of her friends. "I'm Cat's ride and I think she's pretty tired. She nearly fell asleep on me before I went to the bathroom."

Cat smiles sheepishly. "Yeah, I'm ready to blow this popsicle stand."

Jade rolls her eyes. "Cat…" She speaks slowly in a warning tone.

"Sorry," Cat replies quickly.

Jade nods her head. "Okay, let's go."

Andre turns to Tori and shrugs. "Maybe next time we'll make it a sleepover or something," before leaving with the rest of the gang.

From Tori's house, it takes Jade about 20 minutes to drop Cat off at her house. Jade initially plans to go home but ends up staying at Cat's house until Sunday night. Jade leaves Cat's house and goes home at about 8pm.

A few hours later Jade is drunk. Really drunk actually. She's spent the last three hours at a house party where she had way too many shots of vodka. She was originally going to stay at home all night but she needed to get out of the house and her parents didn't have any alcohol at home. She's not particularly a big drinker; at least not normally she isn't. This specific night being an obvious exception because Jade lost count how many shots she'd had after 5. Jade thinks she's had 6 or 7 but she's honestly not sure right now.

Jade is walking around the neighborhood where the party is taking place to get some fresh air and hopefully sober up enough to grab a cab home and still keep her wits about her while getting home. She's got a water bottle with her which she's been drinking occasionally while walking. She's had a lot of water tonight so she hopes she doesn't have the worst headache ever tomorrow. She also made sure to eat on a full stomach because she knew she was planning on getting drunk tonight.

The reason she wanted to get drunk tonight is simple. She couldn't stop herself from thinking about Tori ever since she left her house and it was driving her crazy.

She doesn't want to be thinking about Tori. She doesn't want to be overthinking what Andre and Tori could have been talking about while they were outside. Jade doesn't want to have any of these thoughts but unfortunately for her she can't seem to get rid of them no matter what she does. It annoys her to no end and now here she is. Drunk and thinking even more about Tori than before.

Three walks around the block and thirty minutes later Jade is thinking clearer and she's seeing better than she was before she came outside. In fact, she's only stumbled two or three times and she's feeling ready enough to go home.

Jade stands outside of the house where the party is happening to call a cab. She waits ten minutes before a cab shows up. When Jade gets in she gives the driver the address to a house about a block away from her own house just to be safe. She doesn't trust anyone so that's what she usually does. Once Jade makes the short walk home, she sneaks as quietly as she can into her house and to the kitchen. Jade grabs some aspirin and a bottle of water and goes to her room. Jade puts the pills and water on her night stand, changes into her pajamas and falls asleep almost as soon as her head hits the pillow.

The next morning when Jade wakes up, she has a slight headache and she reaches over for her aspirin. She takes two and opens up her water to down the pills. Her water is a bit warm by now but she doesn't care all that much because her hangover is taking away her ability to care about anything other than the pounding in her head at the moment.

After Jade takes a shower and gets dressed, she heads downstairs to make herself some coffee and eat a quick breakfast then she's out the door to drive herself to school.

During the car ride Jade is hoping she won't run into any of her friends when she gets there. She knows most of them don't show up too early but occasionally they surprise her. Today turns out to be one of those days when her friends show up earlier than they usually do and she's not happy about it.

A few minutes after Jade takes her books out of her bag and puts them in her locker Beck walks up to her. She knows it's him before she sees him. The sound of his shoes is unmistakable. Jade ignores his presents at first but while she grabs and puts the books she needs for her morning classes into her bag, she gets annoyed with him just silently staring at her.

Jade closes her locker and turns to Beck with a glare. "What do you want?"

Beck studies Jade for a minute. "We need to talk."

Jade immediately rolls her eyes at Beck's dramatics. She doesn't want to talk to him so she won't. "No actually we don't."

"You couldn't possibly think I wouldn't find out" Beck answers quietly.

Jade squints her eyes at Beck and tries not to let her anger take over. "What are you talking about?" She asks indifferently.

Beck looks around the hallways. When he finds them mostly empty, he's satisfied that he can say what he wants to say. He still keeps it vague because it's a private topic that nobody else needs to know about besides him and Jade. "I know about what happened the other night."

Jade groans in annoyance. "Go away," she tells him before walking away in the opposite direction of where Beck is standing.

Beck's shoulder slump in slight defeat at being pushed away. "All I'm saying is you could have told me about your feelings for her."

Jade crosses her arms over her chest and starts to walk away from Beck at a faster pace. "I'm not in the mood for this Beck."

"Jade…" Beck calls in a warning tone of voice while following after her.

"Whether or not I have feelings for anyone, especially her, is none of your business Beck. We broke up months ago and I don't have to report to you," Jade tells him sharply. Her hangover still isn't completely gone yet and Beck is really starting to get on her nerves with this conversation.

Beck finally catches up to Jade and grabs her wrist gently. Quickly he pulls her out of the hallway and into the janitor's closet. Though Jade doesn't yell "kidnapper" at Beck this time, she still tries to put off the inevitable conversation they're going to have with each other because of Beck's determination and persistence.

"What are we doing here?" Jade asks with annoyance very clearly in her voice.

Beck runs a hand through his hair. "I know that if I want to get any straight answers from you, I need to ask you the tough questions in private."

Jade looks down and mumbles, "still didn't need to drag me into here."

"Look," Beck speaks calmly. "I just want to talk to you about what's going on with you. I know that when you came out to me two years ago, you were scared as hell. I'm proud of you for how far you've come and us being broken up doesn't change that. I'm still here for you if you want to talk about your feelings."

Jade crosses her arms over her chest. "I don't have any feelings" she mumbles quietly.

Beck isn't buying it. "I know you've probably already talked to Cat about it-"

Jade puts her hand on her hip and glares at him. "Cat is my best friend so if I've talked to anyone about it, it would be Cat."

"So, you have spoken with her about it?" Beck assumes.

Jade feels guilty. Cat tried to talk to her about it but she wouldn't open up and she got drunk last night. "Well, sort of," she admits quietly.

"What do you mean, sort of?" Beck asks curiously.

"She tried to talk to me about some stuff the other night at Tori's place," Jade explains simply. "I didn't want to talk to her about it. It went much like this conversation except Cat was smart enough to let it go."

Beck shakes his head, "what's with you today?"

Jade sighs. "I just have a headache and I don't want to deal with all this right now. Or ever really."

Beck takes a better look at Jade's appearance and notes small changes. "Is it a headache or a hangover?" He questions suspiciously.

"What does it matter?" Jade murmurs.

"You should be taking care of yourself Jade." Beck advises in frustration before looking pointedly at her and elaborating. "You can't hide from things like feelings forever. Sometimes you have to embrace them and deal with them head on."

"Deal with problems and feelings head on?" Jade questions rhetorically. "That's rich coming from you. Where was that advice three months ago when I tried to get you to open up to me about things that bothered you before they built up and caused nasty fights between us?"

Beck runs his hand through his hair in an attempt to hide his shock. "Our relationship problems have nothing to do with what we're talking about."

"No, no. You're right Beck." Jade affirms sarcastically. "Our relationship issues don't have anything to do with our current conversation because this conversation is over."

Jade pulls open the door to the janitors closet and walks out. Beck stands there for a few seconds before exiting himself. He's not proud of how that conversation went and he spends the rest of his walk to class going over everything that was said. He later admits to himself that giving Jade advice that he didn't follow only a few months ago wasn't the best idea. He can see where Jade came from with that and he curses his approach.

Once Jade is sure Beck has left, she lets herself fall apart. It hurt her more than she'd like to admit that Beck tried to give her advice about her life that a few months ago he wouldn't follow to save their relationship.

She tried for days to get Beck to talk to her about the things that were on his mind but he gave up on their agreement to stop small things from escalating into bigger issues. In her mind, Beck doesn't have a right to ask her to talk to him about her feelings. Especially not any feelings that have nothing to do with him.

She doesn't have anything against Beck. There are no hard feelings like there were when their break up was fresh but it feels like he's reopened a wound that she now has to close up again and it sucks. She spends a few more minutes crying before standing up and walking to the bathroom to clean herself up and reapply some of her makeup before the bell rings and she's late to her classes. Right before Jade leaves, she makes a last-minute decision and takes out her water bottle. She drinks about half of it to stay hydrated and refills it before existing and heading off to class.

At lunch Jade avidly avoids the asphalt café because she knows Beck will be there and after how things went with Beck that morning, she opts to hang out in the black box theatre for lunch instead. She's still hurt and frustrated with Beck and she can't help but wish things had gone differently. She doesn't necessarily think she was wrong when it comes to how she reacted in their flight but she hates being in this state with Beck.

They used to fight often when they were dating but fighting with Beck while dating or not has always affected her mood one way or another. Sure, Beck isn't her boyfriend anymore but having him try and interfere with her love life especially when he knows nothing about it makes her upset in a way she doesn't know how to describe.

Jade hasn't told anyone where she was going to be during lunch so she's surprised when she's been in the black box theatre for fifteen minutes and someone walks in. Jade initially starts to panic because lunch started fifteen minutes ago and it doesn't feel like nearly long enough. Reluctantly, she looks over her shoulder and when sees Tori she's actually relieved because it isn't Beck coming to look for her.

"Vega," Jade greets solemnly before turning her attention back to her notebook. Jade writes a few more thoughts down before Tori has replied to her greeting.

"Hey," Tori greets shyly while looking around the black box theatre.

"What are you doing here?" Jade says without looking up from her notebook.

Tori sits down next to Jade and looks at her for a long moment. "I didn't see you at the table and I wanted to check on you."

"Okay." Jade mumbles quietly, "but how'd you know I was here?" Jade looks at Tori curiously.

Tori looks sheepish. "Cat told me." She murmurs shyly. Tori hopes Jade doesn't get mad at her or Cat.

Jade rolls her eyes at the fact that her best friend told Tori where she was hiding. She wants to be upset with Cat but she knows that it won't last so she just lets it go. "Of course, she'd tell you I was here."

Tori is quick to try and defend Cat. "She didn't want to tell me at first." Tori admits softly, "but I offered to buy her cotton candy and she eventually told me where you were hiding out."

Jade plays with the ends of her sleeves nervously. She doesn't really know what to say to what Tori told her. Cat selling her out for cotton candy sounds exactly like Cat. Though, Jade knows that if it was something really important Cat would no doubt have her back. "Well, at least she's getting something out of it." Jade acknowledges simply. She's just thankful that Cat didn't tell Beck where she was. Cat telling Tori where she was is forgivable because for once she wasn't trying to get away from Tori. If Beck had been the one asking Cat where she was and Cat told him for some cotton candy that would be a bit of a different story.

Tori doesn't say anything for a beat but ultimately, she asks what she wants to know. "Can I ask why you're spending lunch here?" Tori questions curiously. Tori hopes she's not prying but she hardly ever sees Jade eat lunch somewhere other than the asphalt cafe so Tori assumes something really bad must have happened for her to be eating in the black box, alone.

Jade breaks eye contact with Tori. Jade puts her pen down and looks at the words she's written in her journal. "I had a fight with Beck," Jade complains quietly. "The conversation started off good but he tried to give me advice that he wouldn't even follow as much as a few months ago and it triggered me. I kind of blew up on him." Jade takes a pause and grumbles, "I'm not in the mood for talking to him right now."

"Do you regret it?" Tori questions carefully. She doesn't want to push Jade to talk to Beck but she hates to see Jade like this. She's clearly hurting after the fight her and Beck had and Tori can't stand to sit back and watch Jade suffer.

Jade thinks about the question. She's not really sure but when Jade makes eye contact with Tori she shrugs her shoulders dejectedly. "I guess. It didn't exactly feel good after and I let my emotions get the best of me. I shouldn't have snapped at him but it's none of his business what I do or don't do with my life. Especially when it comes to my love life."

Tori stares back at Jade. She tries not to get lost in Jade's beautiful blue eyes. She hopes Jade thinks about what she has to say. Tori hopes she can help open up Jade's mind and convince her to make things better with Beck. When Jade and Beck fought in the past it affected everyone. Not just the two of them and she can do anything to make sure they don't hurt anymore because they haven't resolved what happened between them.

She knows if she went to Beck instead of Jade, it wouldn't help do anything because Beck has more often than not been the eager one to fix fights. While Jade was the more stubborn one. It took her a bit longer to come around to the idea of talking things over after she shut down.

Tori shakes her head and looks down. She plays with her fingers and looks back at Jade. "I can't speak for Beck but I'm sure he did it because he wants you to be happy. I know that you guys haven't always communicated that well with each other but the only way to change that is to confront what was said between the two of you and fix it. I know it's easier said than done but what's the worst that could happen if you just try again?"

Jade looks pointedly at Tori. She thinks that question is stupid because the answer is obvious. "We could end up getting into another fight," Jade points out quickly.

Tori sighs but she admits that the possibility of Jade and Beck getting into another fight while trying to sort things out is likely. "That's true but you guys could also end up making up. You both would feel so much better if you got the conversation out of the way sooner rather than later."

Jade seems to think the advice over. "Yeah, I guess I should go and find Beck to get all this out of the way. I'm sure he's probably not feeling great after our conversation either."

Tori smiles brightly, "I'll walk back with you to the asphalt café so you can go and talk to Beck."

Jade nods her head. "Alright," she agrees easily.

Jade and Tori both stand up and head to the exit. Once they've left the black box theatre, they waste no time going outside. As they near the asphalt café Jade becomes more nervous. She's not anxious of seeing Beck, per se, she's more anxious of the outcome of the conversation they could end up having.
