Sam just got home from running, oddly, Steve and Barry didn't join him this morning. This makes him happy than usual, he took out a drink from the fridge. Just then, he heard a knock on the front door.
He went to open it, found out in surprise it's Steve, Barry and Natasha, "Hey, can I help you guys?" He asked in confuse. "I'm sorry about this. But we need a place to lay low." Steve said. "Everyone we know is trying to kill us." Natasha said.
"Well, not everyone." Sam said, step aside and let them in.
When they're washing up themselves, Steve saw Natasha is seem to has something in her mind. "Are you okay?" He asked her. "Yeah." She answered. Knowing her lie, Steve sit next to her, asked: "What's wrong?" Natasha froze for a several moments, said: "When I first join SHIELD, I thought I was going straight, but I guess I just traded KGB for HYDRA."
"I thought I know who's lies I'm telling." She smiled in bitter, "I guess I can't tell the difference anymore." Steve looked at her, said: "Well, there's a chance you might be in the wrong business." Natasha looked at Steve in surprise, laughed a little, said: "I owe you."
"It's nothing." Steve said. Natasha looked at Steve in the eye, asked: "If it is the other way around, and it is count on me to save your life, would you trust me to do it?" Steve stopped for a second, firmly said: "I would now, and I'm always honest." A little smile appeared on his face.
"You've seem pretty happy for someone who found out they just died for nothing." Natasha said in tease. "Well…" Steve said, "I'm just happy to found out who are we fighting."
"I made breakfast." Sam walked in and said, "You guys eat that sort of things right?"
Kitchen
"So, the problem is who in SHIELD can launch a domestic missile strike." Natasha said. "Alexander Pierce." Barry realized. "Well, he happens to sit on one of the safest building in the world." Natasha said. "But Pierce is not working alone, Zola's algorithm is on the Lemurian Star." Steve said.
"And so is Jasper Sitwell." Natasha realized. They think for a second, Barry said: "Okay, our main problem just became how do three most wanted man in Washington kidnap a SHIELD officer in broad daylight."
"You don't have to." Sam suddenly said. They looked at him in confuse, Sam drop a stack of pictures on the desk. Steve asked: "What is this?" Sam said: "Call it a resume."
Natasha looked at the photo, said: "You didn't tell me he's a para-rescue, Steve." She looked at one of those photo, asked: "Is this Bakhmala? The Khalid Khandil mission, that was you."
"I heard they couldn't bring in the helicopters because of the RPGs." Natasha continued, "How did you get in? Stealth parachute?" Sam shook his head, said: "No, we used this." Handed Steve an file.
Steve looked at the file in surprise, said: "I thought you were a pilot." Sam said: "I never said that." Steve said: "Sam, I can't ask you to do this, you got out for a reason."
"Steve's right, I don't think this is a good idea." Barry said. "Dude." Sam said, "Captain America needs my help, there's no better comeback than this."
Steve smiled, said: "Okay, how do we get a hand on this thing?" Sam said: "The last is at Fort Meade, behind three guarded gates and a twelve-inch steel walls."
"So piece of cake." Barry concluded.
Jasper Sitwell has just finished his lunch with the senator who's also one of HYDRA. They walked out the restaurant, said goodbye to one another. After the senator left, Jasper got a call, he saw it's Alexander Pierce, after make other agents go away. He picked up the phone, said: "Hello, sir."
"Hello, Mr. Sitwell. Did you have a good lunch?" Instead of Pierce, another man's voice came through on the other. "Who is this?" Sitwell asked. "This is a good place, has pretty nice crab cakes." The voice continued.
"Who are you?" Sitwell asked. "10 o'clock, hot guy wearing sunglass." The voice said. Sitwell turn his head to the direction.
"The other 10 o'clock."
"There you go, you see me now."
Sitwell looked at Sam from distance, said: "What do you want?" Sam smiled, then said: "Go around the corner, to your right, there's a mini-van in the second spot. Go in. You and I gonna take a ride."
"And why would I do that?" Sitwell said with sarcasm. "Because that's a nice tie, and I don't want to put a hole on it." Sam replied. Just then, Sitwell noticed there's a laser dot on his chest, he decides it's best follow the order.
After they have Sitwell, Steve, Barry and Natasha takes him on top of a building. Steve throws him to the ground, asked: "What do you know about Zola's algorithm?"
"Sorry, Cap." Sitwell said, "Don't know what you're talking about." Steve walked towards him, Sitwell backs away in afraid. He reached the edge, nearly fell off, Steve grabs his shirt, help him to regain balance. Now, with a push, Steve could throw him off the building.
Sitwell suddenly laughed, said: "Is this you're telling me you're gonna throw me off if I don't tell you what's going on? Because this is really not your style, Rogers."
Steve stared at him, said: "You're right, it's not mine, it's hers." Steve step aside, Natasha walks forward, and kicked him off the roof.
Natasha asked: "Do you like the girl who owns a coffee shop?" Barry said: "Yeah, she has lip piercing, not for me."
Just then, Sam flies up, has a sort of metallic wing on his back, carries Sitwell, who is screaming this whole time, back up, then throw him to the ground. Though he didn't agree to this in the first place, but Natasha convinced him that desperate time call for desperate measure, and Barry's gonna admit, this is working very much.
Before they could ask again, Sitwell is so terrified so he spilled out everything. So now they know that HYDRA is gonna use Project Insight to killed dozens million people, so now they're gonna abroad the Heli-carrier to stop it.
In the car, Natasha said: "There's only 16 hours before Project Insight activate, we're running a little tight here."
"Yes, we'll use Sitwell to bypass the DNA scan, therefore abroad Heli-carrier directly." Steve replied. "What?" Sitwell exclaimed, "Are you crazy, that is a terrible, terrible idea." Just then, an medal arm broke the car window, pulled Sitwell out, and throw him onto another road.
"What the hell is going on?" Barry thought to himself.
Author's Note: Sorry, guys. This is all I can get, I know this is a very short chapter and maybe not very good. But I've been busy like crazy for the couple of days, my grandma hurt her arm, so my parents and I go to her house to take care of her, we've stayed the for couple of days. Because she doesn't have computer there, so I've failed to update. And I've finally got home, then guess what. The internet broke down at my house, took my dad a day and a half to fix it. And I've had writer's block for several days, and I'm Girl of Steel and God of Thunder, so sorry, this is all I can get. If you're worry about I'll give up this story, don't worry, I won't.
