A/N: Naruto does not belong to me. This story is the product of having an over active imagination.

Senju Nawaki looked up from the reports he was going through when his door burst open. A nurse came rushing in, her chakra frantic, eyes wide and worried.

"Senju-sama! You are needed in room 302!"

Immediately he got up and started heading towards said room, the nurse rushing similarly by his side.

"Himeko-san, is it? Himeko-san, tell me about it as we walk. What is the emergency?"

"The patient is Haruno Sakura, age 12. She had come in for a chakra consultation. She was born with a skewed Yin-Yang ratio. Yoshimura-sensei was the primary, and she asked Hyuuga-sensei for a second opinion, as she had spotted an irregularity in the patient's chakra system. Hyuuga-sensei fixed it, but then, well, you should see for yourself," Himeko-san gestured to the room they had arrived at.

It was absolute pandemonium. Nurses and doctors were rushing around, some curious shinobi patients were clustered around the doorway, and he could hear screaming coming from inside. But it was the continuous waves of panicked chakra he could sense coming from the room that gave him pause. He knew that response.

Increasing his speed, he arrived at the room, and barked out, incensed, "All of you, except the attending doctors and the patient, OUT! This is not a circus. I want the area to be clear of people in a radius of ten meters."

The room cleared with alacrity, and he could finally see the patient. He spotted Mebuki leaning against the far wall, her face pale and horrified. He felt bad for his distant cousin, he had realized the patient was her daughter, but the patient was his priority.

He pointed at his cousin, and said, "You, too, Mebuki. I will inform you of her status once we treat her. Now, please, I need you to go out of this room."

He turned his attention to the two doctors near the bed, peripherally aware of his cousin leaving, and asked them, "Status?"

Hyuuga Himeko, sweat beaded on her forehead from continuously channeling her chakra, said in an exhausted tone, "Her chakra system was being blocked by something, probably a mental block that turned chakric, at her Gates. Not something I hadn't seen before, so it treated it. But her chakra went haywire and she wouldn't stop screaming."

Yoshimura Sayuri took over, from where she was keeping the patient still, "We realized she was a sensor, going by the chakra pulses, and immediately put chakra blockers on her, but her chakra kept burning through them. She even dissolved the restraints we tried to put on her."

"Thankfully, her chakra is not hurting people, yet. It shows that she is still somewhat aware. But I have been continuously healing her, she's having mini aneurysms every few minutes."

Nawaki nodded to indicate he was listening, as he pulled out his sealing kit and started constructing a more potent chakra blocking seal. It only took him a few minutes to complete the seal, but the pained screams of the young girl were alarming him, as she should have been slowly acclimatizing to the sensory input. He felt a cold shiver down his spine as he realized what this meant for her sensory range. He would not wish that on anyone.

Just as he was drawing the last stroke, the screams abruptly went silent. Panicked, he looked toward the patient, hoping against hope that it was merely her getting used to the input. But her unseeing eyes, fixed on something only she could sense, dashed those hopes.

Discarding the seal he had made (putting the seal on now, would only lead to her death), he rushed towards the young girl, the two doctors similarly alarmed.

"No, no, no! Please don't be what I think it is!" Nawaki said, worried.

Scanning her chakra system, he slumped as he got the feedback. Groaning, he rubbed at his face, as he thought about probable solutions.

"What happened? Do you know why she is like this, Nawaki-sama?" Hoshiko-san asked, her brow furrowed.

"Yes," Nawaki sighed, "I recognize those signs. I have known a few sensors. Her mind is lost in the chakra she can sense. Catatonic, in a way. I can only hope that she did not get lost in nature chakra."

Sayuri-san gasped as she understood the ramifications of his words. She turned a deeply troubled eye onto her patient, not wanting the young girl to turn to stone.

Himeko-san, always more pragmatic than most iryo-nin he had seen, briskly asked, "Well, how do we bring her mind back?"

"We need to find out her chakra affinities, first. Someone with the exact opposing affinities would, in theory, be able to bring her back."

"In theory?" Sayuri-san asked.

His mouth tightened in uncertainty, but answered, "Most sensors I knew already had a handle on their senses. They were able to come back by themselves. She, on the other hand, has just now had her senses opened." Plus, he was worried about how far her range extended if she took so long to get lost in the sense. While he trusted the two doctors, things like this were to be only discussed with the Council and the Hokage. "Whatever I know, I know from my Grand-uncle's notes."

They both nodded, understanding. Everyone knew Senju Tobirama was unparalleled in his research in chakra, the only one to come close had been Orochimaru.

Nawaki reached for the chakra paper he always kept in his fuuinjutsu kit, and put it on the pink-haired girl's hand. She was leaching so much chakra that he was not worried about it not reacting.

It immediately dampened and crinkled. Water and lightning. Damn it. They needed someone with a dual affinity to fire and wind. Dual affinities were rare, and wind was even rarer in Konoha. Fuck.

"Do either of you, by any chance, know anyone with dual wind and fire?" He asked, resignedly.

"Shiranui Genma. I think he is supposed to be here for his checkup right about now I think," Sayuri-san said, her lips flattening. Shiranui was the bane of all the hospital staff.

He waved a hand. "One of you go and get him please. I would call a nurse, but I don't want anyone not necessary near this room."

Sayuri-san nodded and left. A few minutes later, she came back with a curious Shiranui.

Shiranui took one look at the catatonic pinkette and swore. Apparently, he knew her. Huh, small world.

"What's wrong with Pin- I mean, Sakura-chan?" He asked, looking worried, but staying away from the bed.

"Shiranui, stop being a pussy and come nearer. I am not going to tie you to the bed," Hoshiko barked.

"Not again, you mean," Shiranui muttered, but came closer.

Nawaki was entertained by the tiny, doll-like Hyuuga cowing one of the top assassins of Konoha, but did not let it distract him from the matter at hand.

"Shiranui, how is your chakra control?" He asked.

"Good enough to be able to use the Mystic Palm jutsu," Shiranui answered.

"Good. Come nearer. I want you to circulate your chakra through your hands and place them on her forehead and her stomach, respectively. Do not let your chakra escape your skin, understand?" Nawaki ordered.

Shiranui did as he was asked, but there was a questioning look in his eyes.

"She's a sensor, a natural one by the looks of it. Opening her senses led to her being lost in the flow of chakra. Tobi-oji hypothesized that someone of the opposing chakra affinities could, in theory, be able to draw a sensor out of a chakra fugue. She had water and lightning. You, fire and wind. Therefore, your presence here."

"Are you sure this will work?" Shiranui asked, hands already going where Nawaki had told him.

Nawaki sighed, drained, "At this point, it is better than nothing. Fuuinjutsu will help her filter her sensor skills, but for that, I need her to be aware and not in a fugue state."

Nodding, the tokujo got to work. Immediately, the young girl's breathing evened out a bit.

Hoshiko-san, from where she was monitoring the patient's vitals as well as healing her, looked at her superior and said, relief in her voice, "Her vitals are getting steadier. Blood pressure has dropped to normal, and her chakra is smoothing out. Pulse is still a bit high, but dropping."

Nawaki sighed, relieved that he would not be informing his cousin that her daughter had died.

After a few minutes of Shiranui circling his chakra, the Hyuuga stated, a note of worry in her tone, "She has stabilized, but is not getting better. Her brain activity is still off the charts. The chakra coils in her brain are lit up like stars." Her Byakugan had been activated as she scanned her patient.

"Shiranui doesn't have enough chakra to drown out her senses. We need someone with a larger chakra pool," Sayuri-san noted, healing the various bruises on the young girl's body from her previous convulsions.

"I would have asked Naruto-kun, but he has only one affinity, wind. I do not know anyone with the same affinities as Shiranui," Nawaki said, grimacing. "I'll need to ask the Hokage."

He bit his finger to draw blood, summoning one of his seagulls.

"Ask my sister to come to the hospital as soon as she can. Room 302."

The bird nodded, and took off.

It took only a few moments for the Hokage to come to the hospital. When his elder sister reached the room, he filled her in on the patient's situation.

Tsunade-nee-san's face grew grimmer as he told her the dilemma.

She called one of her guards to her.

"Ask Uchiha Kagami and Uchiha Shisui to come to the hospital, immediately. Tell them their help is needed," the Hokage ordered the kneeling ANBU.

"Hai, Hokage-sama," The ANBU nodded, and flashed away.

"I had forgotten Kagami-ji-san had a dual affinity."

"Yes, he and his grandson share the same affinities. I would have liked Asuma-kun to be here as well, but that brat had to go and join the Twelve Guardian Ninja."

Nawaki half-heartedly smirked at the common complaint, but kept an eagle-eye on the pink-haired young girl. Shiranui was still diligently circulating chakra, which made him curious as to how exactly he knew his cousin's daughter. Mebuki had been rather over-protective of her only child, and even he and his sister had only seen her as a baby.

"She's Mebuki's kid, isn't she? Poor woman must be going out of her mind by now. Yoshimura-san, can you go and inform Haruno Mebuki about the status of her daughter? Don't let her come in, but just keep her informed.

The older doctor nodded her head, and went. Tsunade-nee turned her troubled gaze to him.

"If they calm her down and bring her mind back, you need to be ready with the chakra filters and limiters." So why are you not drawing them up right now?

Nawaki nodded, and replied to the unasked question, "I'll need to draw the seals directly on her skin, for them to be at least semi-permanent. And until her chakra is called back, I cannot get a clear reading on her range and chakra levels. The seals need to be calibrated to them."

Nawaki disliked feeling so helpless when healing. Especially since it was a child, that too one of his blood. There were so very few Senjus still alive.

The door was thrown open, and Uchiha Kagami stalked inside, with his grandson following him.

"What is the emergency, Tsunade-hime? Healing is not my specialty, as you very well know." Kagami-ji-san paused, having caught sight of Sakura. "Is that young Sakura-chan? What is wrong with her?" He demanded, worried.

"How do you-, right, Mebuki was one of your students, no? Right now, I need you to bring her mind and chakra back. She's a sensor, a natural one, and she's lost in her senses. You both have the opposite affinities to hers," Nawaki stated.

"Ah, one of Tobirama-sensei's theories, if I am not wrong," Kagami-ji mused, even as he moved to replace Shiranui. Hoshiko-san informed him of what to do.

Shiranui took a few steps back, looking a bit exhausted at having circulated his chakra for so long.

Hoshiko-san kept monitoring the patient's vitals as the elder Uchiha took over. She looked at him and shrugged.

He tilted his head, wondering at that response.

"Her brain activity went down, but nothing else."

"Uchiha the younger, replace your grandfather," Tsunade instructed the curious-looking Shisui.

As soon as the younger Uchiha placed his hands on the patient's chakra gates, she visibly relaxed.

"Oh thank god. Her chakra is slowly calming down. Her brain is no longer lit up with chakra. Pulse has also gone back to normal," the Hyuuga iryo-nin said, relieved.

The tension in the room vanished. Nawaki slumped and sat in a chair. He ran a hand through his blond hair as he exhaled in relief.

"Brat, you still need to put the seals on her," Tsunade-nee reminded him harshly, though he could see that her eyes had softened.

"Hai, nee-san, I know."

A voice coming from the patient's direction interrupted them.

"Um, Nawaki-sama, I think she is asleep now," Shisui-kun pointed out.

Hoshiko-san agreed, "Her brain activity shows that she has slipped into a deep sleep."

Thank god, Nawaki thought. Now we just need to wait for her to wake up.
