Feeling a warm, commanding hand slide behind her neck and pull her closer, Yang willingly relented as her lips moved against Blake's, both of them taking turns battling for superiority or relinquishing control. Blake refused to let Yang slip away, so Yang ran her hands over every inch of bare skin beneath her, making Blake arch and bend into her touch.

Breaking away from soft, addicting lips, Yang kissed down Blake's jaw before reaching her neck and lightly nipping the tender skin there. Blake's hands wove through Yang's hair all the while, clenching and pulling whenever her teeth grazed skin, spurring her on with each tug.

"Yang," Blake whispered, the breathy word doubling Yang's desire.

Yang wanted to drag this out until Blake begged for more, but she didn't have that much self-control. Not with their bodies pressed together, threatening to become one as the room heated up around them.

"Yang..."

This time, her name sounded as if it had been spoken from a distance, with an effect like a bucket of cold water dumped over her desires. Their kisses stopped, and she looked at the girl pinned beneath her. With long, dark hair spread out across the pillow, breaths coming in labored bursts, and her chest rising and falling with excitement, Blake was exactly the image Yang wanted to see right now.

Realizing the image was too perfect, Yang tilted her head back and sighed. "Dammit. I'm dreaming, aren't I?"

When she looked down and found Blake smiling up at her, confirming the unfortunate truth, she sighed one more time before leaning down for another kiss. "Might as well enjoy it while I can..." she muttered against Blake's lips while running her hand across a smooth, warm stomach.

"Yang…"

She did her best to ignore the voice, knowing that it only wanted to pull her out of this moment. And she didn't want to leave yet; they were just getting started.

"Yang."

Groaning at the persistence, she opened her eyes and found seas of amber staring down at her. "Good morning," Blake whispered, a smile spreading across the same gorgeous lips Yang had been peppering with kisses moments earlier.

"G-good morning," she replied, making no effort to move as Blake hovered over her, mere inches separating their lips. If she could return to the dream, she would pull Blake in for a kiss. Reality, unfortunately, was far less kind.

"We should get up," Blake said, patting Yang's cheek before sliding out of bed and heading to the bathroom.

Sighing at the continued disappointment, Yang sat up, rubbed her eyes, and watched Blake walk away. That sexy saunter was up early, and that fine behind was already working overtime. Just when Yang thought she'd been blessed with a morning view better than any sunrise, Blake calmly pulled her shirt over her head and dropped it on the floor.

She wasn't wearing a bra.

And she had the sexiest back in existence. The lines of her shoulder blades. The curve of her spine…

Yang dealt with death daily - zombies were death in living form, after all - but Blake would be the actual death of her. Intent on proving that point, Blake slid her shorts to the floor and stepped out of them, revealing dark purple underwear right before the bathroom door closed.

Groaning at the sexual torture, Yang flopped back onto the bed and pinched her nose to control an imminent nosebleed. How was it possible for someone to be so attractive? It was literally painful. And for Blake to undress in the room...it was a miracle Yang hadn't jumped her right then and there.

Miracle...or curse? How could that lead to nothing? Yang must be doing this wrong because that didn't seem right. Something else must be getting in the way. Something that wasn't obvious, like taxes, mercury, or magnetic fields.

She wanted to do it - that - with Blake. It was practically all she thought about when not focused on stomping Z's. She wasn't incapable of romance either; one time, she talked a girl out of her bra by suggesting it would help her lose weight (technically, that was true...). But Blake was like...some mythic being of frozen sexual desires. Everyone wanted her, but trying to get with her? Forget it. Yang had a better chance of sleeping with Weiss than with Blake right now, which was just mind-boggling.

The only plausible explanation was that it wasn't the right time for them to get together. So, even though she wanted to, and she felt like Blake wanted to, they had to wait for a catalyst. Seeing as how this was the apocalypse and Yang was the gregarious, well-tempered hero, she probably had to save Blake's life. That shouldn't be too difficult, right? If only Blake wasn't so good at keeping herself alive…

Mulling over the predicament, Yang rolled out of bed, grabbed a new outfit for the day, and changed before Blake finished in the bathroom. Once clothed, she pulled on her boots, strapped a pistol around her ankle, and packed away the myriad of other supplies they carried at all times. Utility knives, wire cutters, gloves - anything that might be lifesaving in a crunch.

"Ready?"

As soon as she turned towards the bathroom, she blushed and averted her gaze at what Blake was wearing - or, more accurately, wasn't wearing. She had a bra on, at least, but no shirt, and god was she attractive.

"Uh, almost," Yang directed to the multitool in her hands before slipping it into her back pocket. The image of Blake's bra, and what lay underneath, had just been burned into her mind, unlikely to leave anytime soon.

"How'd you sleep?" Blake asked while leaning in front of Yang to grab a shirt off of the dresser. The action practically begged Yang to take another look, which she definitely didn't do.

That was a lie. She did. And Blake caught the look - made all the more evident by the smirk she wore while pulling her shirt over her head. "Yang?" she asked again, tugging the shirt into place. "Sleep?"

"Oh. Right." Shaking her head, Yang tried to think of a standard, innocent response. Instead, she stared at Blake's ass when Blake bent over to put on her boots.

No wonder Blake was always saving her instead of the other way around. How was she supposed to think straight under these circumstances? She was lucky she hadn't accidentally shot herself in the foot by now.

"I think I slept," she blurted out when Blake sent her another knowing grin.

"You think?" After standing up, Blake motioned Yang closer. When Yang did as directed, Blake smiled and brushed her fingers through Yang's hair. "I know you slept. You mumbled my name a few times, too."

"I - what?"

"Mhmm…" With just that light touch, Blake kept Yang transfixed in front of her. "Something about how you wanted 'more.' Sounded like a good time."

There was a good likelihood Blake was just messing with Yang to get a reaction, such as the rampant flush racing across her cheeks. Based on her dreams, however, there was also a good likelihood that she actually said that in her sleep. Which was why her cheeks got even hotter.

"We should...probably get downstairs..." she mumbled, growing increasingly distracted when Blake tucked several strands of hair behind her ear. "You know, find that bird guy and all..."

"Right..." Resting a hand on Yang's shoulder, Blake looked pensive for several seconds before speaking again. "You know, I never understood why you chose an action adventure for yourself."

"What do you mean?" Yang asked, struggling to concentrate while Blake trailed a finger down the front of her shirt.

"Why didn't you choose romance?"

"An apocalypse romance?" Yang asked with a small laugh.

"I've read stranger things." After shrugging, Blake slid her hand over Yang's shoulder and pulled her closer. "Plus, wouldn't it be fun?"

"Uh, yes, but…" Feeling another hand on her waist, Yang struggled to string words together. "I - don't think I can change the story now…"

"Why not?"

"Because - uh…"

When Blake rolled onto the balls of her feet, their bodies now pressed together, Yang lost the ability to focus on anything other than Blake's lips. Deciding to take the chance, she leaned closer, watching Blake's eyes slide shut before hers did the same -

"Yang!" Three knocks hit the door, jolting them apart. "Wake up! I wanna show you something!"

Excited footsteps ran down the hall, but Yang sighed and shook her head. "Ruby has the best timing, doesn't she?"

Chuckling softly, Blake pulled on a jacket then tossed Yang the handgun she left on the cabinet.

"Let's get this story on the road, shall we?"

Silently cursing her sister for ruining the perfect moment, Yang tried to calm her rampant desires while following Blake out of the room. If Blake was turned on right now, it was impossible to tell. Yang, on the other hand, probably had neon lights flashing above her head.

"If we did change genres," she asked as they headed downstairs. "What would we do today instead of saving someone we've never met?"

"Well...we wouldn't leave the house. You can imagine the rest, can't you?"

When Blake sent Yang one of the sexiest smirks she'd ever received, her heart skipped several beats. What was more embarrassing - that she could imagine thousands of different scenarios for what they could do alone while trapped in a romance novel, or that Blake knew she would imagine those scenarios? Both were probably equally embarrassing, but there was no time to dwell on the topic before they walked into the kitchen.

"Finally," Weiss greeted them. "You'd think the two of you slept together or something."

"I see someone woke up on the right side of the bed," Yang retorted.

"But Weiss sleeps on the left side of the bed!"

"TMI, Ruby. TMI."

"How is that too much information?" Weiss asked, setting down the book she'd been reading. "It's not like she told you what position -"

"Way too much information," Yang interrupted. Worried that Weiss might go into more detail just to emotionally scar her, she plugged her fingers in her ears and hummed to herself.

"Yang!" After pulling one of Yang's arms away from her ear, Ruby bounced up and down and gestured with both hands. "Nora taught me how to pistol flip! Wanna see?"

"Sure. But first - is that what was so important to show me?"

"Yeah!" When Ruby grinned, oblivious to the kiss she thwarted with her excitement, Yang and Blake shared a look. "Well, that and we should leave soon," Ruby added, a response straight out of Weiss' repertoire. "But watch!"

Turning towards the wall of the kitchen, Ruby grabbed the grip of her pistol, flipped it out of its holster, caught it by the barrel, and mimed hitting something with it. It was a pretty awesome trick - and incredibly dangerous, explaining Weiss' near-audible cringe as soon as Ruby touched the weapon.

"Isn't that cool?" Ruby asked while putting the pistol away.

"Yeah! That's not loaded, is it?" When Yang pointed at the gun, Ruby shook her head.

"I made them unload it…" Weiss muttered from the other side of the table. Lifting her mug, she took another sip of coffee and nodded at the ammo laying in the middle of the table.

"Babysitting this morning?" Yang asked, to which Weiss sighed and shook her head.

"You have no idea..."

Chuckling, Yang turned towards Nora, who promptly chucked her pistol at the wall when she didn't catch it in time. "Whoops!" After hurrying over to collect the weapon, she holstered it and prepared to try again.

"Yang..."

Before Weiss made the request, Yang beamed at the two pistol-flippers, silently telling them that she was on their side. Which was true! But this was also a 'big sister teaching moment' and she hated passing those up, especially when they happened so infrequently these days...

"That's really cool! But you know you probably shouldn't do that when there's ammo in it, right?"

Their smiles faded at the advice, and they glanced at each other before looking at their weapons. "I guess..." Ruby muttered while Nora ran a hand through her hair and shrugged.

"Plus, quick draws are cooler." To prove her point, Yang quickly drew and holstered one of her pistols - the gun practically flashing in and out of her hand but within her control the entire time.

"That is cool!" Nora agreed. And when she started practicing it herself, Ruby quickly joined in.

"I don't know if that's better," Weiss mumbled, watching Ruby like a hawk while she drew and holstered her weapon over and over again.

"At least they're not throwing guns at the wall anymore." After patting Yang's shoulder, Blake walked over to the sink to make a cup of tea.

"It's all about style points, Weiss." Yang grabbed a granola bar from the basket on the table, pulled out a chair, and sat down. "If you take away something that gives a ton of style points, you have to give them something else that's cool."

"This isn't a game, Yang. We don't get style points."

"Maybe you don't, but I got like five hundred points for that power slide yesterday!"

When Weiss rolled her eyes, Yang laughed and took a bite to eat. No matter how long they were forced to interact, she never got tired of their banter. She could never tease Ruby like she could tease Weiss. And Blake...well, she only had compliments and flattery for Blake.

"Uh, guys?" Holding a cup of tea, Blake pointed out the kitchen window. "Did you know there's a zombie out there?"

"Oh, yeah, saw him this morning." After practicing another quickdraw, Ruby walked over to confirm it was the same one. "Yup. He's just crawling in circles - I was gonna get him when we leave."

"How'd he get through the fence?"

"A hole," Weiss answered. "Some animal probably dug under. Too low for other zombies though."

If the hole was small and at the bottom of the fence, Weiss was right about that. Zombies didn't think in more than one direction, and they would only crawl underneath something if they couldn't use their legs - or didn't have legs, like this one.

"Nora and I already filled it," Ruby added.

"You bet we did! Had a shovel race and everything."

Nora and Ruby exchanged high-fives before grinning at each other. The adorable display of comradery made Yang smile as she polished off breakfast.

"You got a lot done this morning. Fixing holes, flipping pistols..."

"And figuring out a plan!" Ruby added while scooting her chair closer to Weiss.

"That's right," Weiss replied. "While you two were busy post-nothing cuddling, the three of us decided that our best course of action is to find another flier. We already came up with several places to search."

"So, basically...you did all the work." When Weiss pursed her lips, Yang grinned at Blake. "Maybe we should wake up late more often."

"Only if that means you're staying up late with me," Blake replied, winking and lifting her cup to her lips.

"Anyway," Weiss interrupted. "The fliers we found were on major roads, attractions, or places any survivor might frequent, so we should search more areas like that. Nora suggested Main Street; Ruby suggested the Promenade -"

"And once we find a flier, we can find whoever's behind this!" Ruby piped in. "It's like Super Zombie Slayer Detectives."

While Yang chuckled at Ruby's adoption of their (super awesome) team name, she couldn't help noticing Blake's furrowed brow.

"You suggested Main Street?" Blake asked Nora.

"Yup! I bet that's the winner too."

Blake narrowed her eyes and hummed at the response, but Nora seemed unperturbed by the reaction.

"Alright, Detective Rose." Done with breakfast, Yang stood up and tossed the wrapper on the table. "Where to first? Main Street or the Promenade?"

"We should take Main Street to the Promenade."

"Efficiency - love it. Let's get going then. That little bird isn't going to save himself."

"Ren!" Nora exclaimed, jumping to her feet and racing to the front door. Chuckling at the enthusiasm, Yang followed at a slower pace while Blake washed her cup in the sink, and Weiss and Ruby cleared off the table.

"Excited, are we?" Yang asked after joining Nora by the front door.

"I haven't been to Main Street in a while. Can't wait to see what's going on."

Yang had expected Nora to say something about how excited she was to save her friend, but...that response was fine too. When everyone else regrouped at the door, dressed and armed for business, they headed outside and piled into the truck. The single zombie crawling around the yard let out a moan when it saw them, but it would be at least ten minutes before it reached them with how slowly it dragged itself across the massive lawn.

And it only took a minute for them to get situated and buckled in. After starting the engine and throwing the truck in drive, Yang had them to the gate in no time. "Be right back," Blake said before hopping out to remove the padlocks.

"I'll get the crawler." While Blake worked on the gate, Ruby slid open the roof hatch and pulled herself up top.

"Can I watch?" Nora asked, standing as well.

"Sure!"

While Ruby pulled Nora to the top of the vehicle, Yang stared at the girl calmly unraveling a large chain before shoving the gate open.

"How did you share a bed and still not sleep together?"

Tearing her eyes away from Blake, Yang met Weiss' gaze in the rearview mirror and waggled her brow.

"Who says we didn't?"

"You didn't," Weiss stated, not falling for the lie in the slightest. "You chickened out - again."

"I'll have you know, I was this close to kissing her."

"Then why didn't you?"

Listening to Ruby explain the sniper rifle to Nora - the speed of her words giving away her excitement - Yang sighed. "It just wasn't the right time..." she muttered.

When Blake waved them through the open gate, Yang pointed to the roof, where Nora just asked if she could try out Ruby's favorite gun. After glancing at the girls, Blake nodded, then held up two fingers and pointed over her shoulder.

"Hey Ruby, hurry it up!" Yang called out.

"Can I try?" Nora asked again. A few seconds later, a loud crack was followed by a giggle.

"Missed him!"

Glancing in the side mirror, Yang saw the zombie still crawling toward them. When she looked back through the windshield, she also saw the two walkers Blake had spotted - near the neighbor's house but headed Blake's way.

"Ruby -" she started to say before another crack rang out.

"Got him!"

"Ok, but the ones near Blake -" Yang reached for the door handle, prepared to rush to Blake's aid even though Blake looked unconcerned, but two quick snaps sounded right before the zombies fell to the ground.

With the danger finally eliminated, Yang sighed and gently eased the truck through the gates. As Nora and Ruby tumbled back into the cabin, Blake locked the gate behind them. "Worried?" she teased as soon as she made it back into the passenger seat.

"Of course she was," Weiss answered in Yang's place. Rather than refute the truth, Yang stepped on the gas and sent them flying towards the city limits.

"Why do you think we'll find something on Main Street?" she asked Nora while weaving through burned-out vehicles that hadn't moved in ages.

"I dunno." When Yang glanced in the rearview mirror, Nora shrugged. "Because it's the main street."

Yang had hoped for a little more explanation or anything that erased the suspicion in Blake's eyes. 'Dunno' definitely didn't cut it, which Blake made all the more apparent by crossing her arms while they approached Nora's hand-picked destination.

Main Street was exactly what it sounded like - a wide, busy street cutting through the heart of Vale. It used to be a perpetual traffic jam for drivers, while pedestrians crowded the sidewalks as they went out to eat or shopped at the many boutiques lining the road.

Yang used to love stopping by on the weekend, but now the area was a bit too…claustrophobic. The street had become a parking lot for abandoned vehicles, but the pedestrians were still there. They were a little deader than before, and they were more interested in a breathing meal than a nice steak from the nearby steakhouse. Not to mention all of the residents still 'living' in the apartments above the street just waiting for a reason to jump out their windows and go for a stroll…

It was a great place to get surrounded by a horde, actually. So if this was all part of Nora's plan…it was a good one.

"They redecorated..." Nora mused when Yang slowed the truck to a crawl.

"So many cars…" Blake added, looking at the vehicles clogging the street in front of them.

"What do we do - get out and walk?" Weiss asked.

"Hell no. We take the sidewalk."

Driving up onto the sidewalk, where there were fewer immovable obstacles, Yang kept a sharp eye on the destruction around them. Cars were piled on top of one another - the result of vehicles slamming into each other at full speed. Most of the storefront windows were shattered, leaving shards of glass littering the sidewalk. Old newspapers and garbage fluttered down the street, adding to the apocalyptic atmosphere. Then there were the zombies…not too many on the street right now, but more had to be lurking in the stores, apartments, and on neighboring streets.

They needed to be quiet…

"Keep an eye out," Yang muttered while searching for anything out of place. It felt like looking for a needle in a haystack, but this was their only plan to move forward.

She was so focused on the task that she didn't even turn around when she heard the roof slide open and someone crawl up to the crow's nest. The next second, a bullet dropped the zombie in their path, and they drove over with nothing more than a few bumps.

"I wanna watch!"

This time, Yang glanced in the mirror and watched Nora pull herself up top with Ruby.

"They get along..." Blake commented from beside her.

"It's cute, right? Ruby has a new friend."

"You realize she'll be crushed if Nora's behind this, right?" Weiss asked from the backseat, keeping her voice low so that Ruby didn't overhear.

The thought hadn't occurred to Yang, but Weiss was right. Ruby loved meeting new people and was already attached to Nora. If Nora turned out to be the maniac behind all of this, Ruby would be upset, to put it lightly. And what were the chances they could find a replacement so that Ruby still had a new friend?

"Really hope she isn't behind this then..." Yang muttered as a zombie on the next block collapsed to the ground.

"Then let's hope she's wrong about -"

"Found one! Look!"

Yang cringed when Nora shouted the words for everyone to hear. Every zombie in the vicinity instantly snapped around and spotted Ruby and Nora on the roof. Then cries of hunger broke out, carrying through the quiet air like a siren.

The street suddenly came alive. Undead appeared from every alcove and the shadows, agitating over each other as their next meal came in sight. For the unfortunate living souls on the street, this was exactly what they didn't want to happen.

When a loud thump suddenly hit the hood, Yang jerked away from the windshield and watched, shocked and confused, as Nora ran down the front of the truck, jumped down to the sidewalk, and sprinted towards a piece of paper posted a hundred yards away. The problem with that plan? Nora was unarmed, and there were just shy of a billion zombies closing in from all sides.

"Yang…"

Checking the mirrors, Yang cursed under her breath when she saw more lumbering bodies approaching from behind, their hungry eyes trained on the crow's nest.

"Ruby, get down here," Weiss snapped, unclipping her seatbelt in preparation for saving Ruby if necessary. Fortunately, Ruby quickly dropped into the cabin and shoved the roof hatch closed.

"What do we do?" she asked, her eyes wide while they watched the action unfold through the windshield. Nora reached the paper just fine because getting there wasn't the issue. The issue was that by the time she turned around, there was a large (and growing larger) crowd of zombies between her and safety.

There was only one solution to this problem - a solution that would earn a ton of style points.

"I hope you have the right shoes on," Yang said, clutching the steering wheel. "Because we're about to go bowling."

When she slammed the accelerator to the floor, the truck roared forward and quickly gained speed. Seconds later, it slammed into the first zombies, sending bodies flying to either side and careening over the top of the vehicle. Beyond the first wave was another, and another - group after group of zombies being pushed aside or run over as fifteen tons of metal plowed through them.

"Ruby, get ready to open the hatch!" Yang yelled, trying to keep an eye on Nora while zombies flew out of the way. If she timed it right, and if Nora knew what to do, this would work. If she didn't time it right, or Nora didn't know what to do, well...it wouldn't work, and someone would die.

"Now!" Yang shouted while slamming her foot on the brake. Tires squealed on the sidewalk while Xander slid forward, shoving the rest of the undead out of the way and bearing down on Nora. Sensing her opportunity, Nora sprinted forward and jumped onto the hood of the truck. Forward momentum carried her up the windshield and tumbling over the crow's nest before falling face-first through the roof.

"Got her!" Ruby yelled, slamming the hatch closed as louder moans drifted inside. The tires hadn't even stopped squealing before Yang punched it again, shooting them forward and making a beeline out of there.

"You realize you could've been killed?" Weiss chided Nora as she straightened herself out in the seat.

"But I got it!" Raising the sheet of paper in the air, Nora grinned like she just won some huge prize. That prize, however, might have come at the expense of their lives. As sturdy as Xander was, he was only a truck - a big truck, but an even bigger horde would find a way to knock him over.

They had to get out of here as fast as possible, but the street fought them every inch of the way. Zombies, cars, benches, bus stops - everything stood between them and freedom. Jerking the steering wheel to the right, Yang shoved the front of the truck into the rear quarter-panel of a destroyed car, pushing it forward just enough that they could squeeze through.

"Turn there!" Nora said, her hand appearing by Yang's head, pointing at an alley leading off to the left. With their other option being a street filled with vehicles, Yang took a chance and swerved into the tiny alley. Xander hardly fit, and the sound of metal scraping against brick hurt her soul, but they flew through the empty alley and burst onto the next street.

Unfortunately, the next street was in worse shape than Main Street. One of the apartment buildings had collapsed, burying the end of the road in a pile of rubble several stories tall. The other end was blocked by an overturned bus, and no way was Xander driving over a bus.

"This was a bad decision..." Blake muttered as they stared at the newest obstacle in their path.

Glancing in the rearview mirror, Yang sighed when a horde streamed out of the alley behind them. More zombies appeared from the buildings - late shoppers and shopkeepers finally finding something to do. So many zombies...all funneled into this tiny section of road without any easy exits. Their number quickly grew so large that they climbed over the cars and each other in pursuit.

"This was a really bad decision," Yang agreed before flooring it towards the bus - their only possible exit. "Hold on to something!"

Xander hardly reached full acceleration before slamming into the front of the bus. The force jarred Yang nearly out of her seat but only moved the bus a few feet; nowhere near enough for them to squeeze through.

"Yang…"

"I'm trying!"

Throwing Xander in reverse, Yang backed up until she felt the bumper hit something (or some things) before putting the truck in drive and flooring it again. The bus moved a little further forward when the truck crashed into it again. This time, she held the accelerator down hoping to accomplish something, but the tires squealed against the pavement and the bus didn't move.

"Dammit."

"I can thin them out!" Ruby suggested while Yang backed up again, this time finding much less room before crashing into a wall of zombies.

"You're not going out there," Weiss replied. Thumps on the roof reinforced that answer. As did the undead appearing outside every window, putting their gross, grimy hands all over the glass.

"I just washed this..." Yang sighed before punching the accelerator one more time. Xander hit the corner of the bus and shoved it another foot forward -

"You can get through there," Blake said, pointing for Yang to squeeze through the gap.

"I don't know…"

"Stop worrying about your precious paint job and do it!" Weiss yelled from the backseat.

Seeing nothing but hungry faces in the mirrors and windows, Yang threw caution to the wind and gunned it towards the gap between the bus and the building.

Xander fit.

But sacrificed a side mirror to the zombie lords and broke her heart in the process.

"Dammit…" she bemoaned as they crashed onto the next street, which had enough space for her to swerve from side-to-side to shake off any unwelcome company. After watching several zombies fly off the roof or lose their grip on the bumper, she found an on-ramp for the freeway, stepped on the gas, and got them the hell out of there.

Glancing at the spot where a mirror used to be, she sighed.

"That was more exciting than expected…"

"More exciting than it should've been…" Blake muttered under her breath, undoubtedly referring to Nora's less-than-stellar suggestions.

It could have been bad luck or skillful manipulation to lead them onto a street with no exits, but why would anyone do that when they were in the vehicle? Did Nora have some master escape plan for when they got caught by a massive horde? What about grabbing that piece of paper though? What was her plan there? What if they just left her?

"How did you even see that?" Yang asked, glancing back at Nora.

"I used to play that game all the time - that one where you spot things!"

"I Spy?" Ruby asked, sounding more excited than she should considering they almost died from Nora's 'game.' "Yang and I used to play all the time!"

"We should play now!" Nora suggested.

"Before you do that…" Weiss interrupted. "We should figure out what you risked our lives for."

"That's right. What's it say?" Yang asked, glancing in the rearview mirror while the three girls leaned their heads together to read the crumpled paper Nora somehow held onto while flipping back into the truck.

"'Food and shelter for survivors,'" Weiss read aloud. "'The Vale Valley Mall - no tricks, just people in need helping people in need.'"

"Awe, that sounds nice!" Ruby replied.

"'No tricks,'" Blake repeated, shaking her head and pulling her legs up onto the passenger seat. "Yeah right…"

Drifting around the next corner (she loved drifting when the streets allowed it), Yang clipped two zombies hard enough to send them flying clean off the overpass before accelerating out of the turn.

Next stop - the mall.

Which was perfect because she needed new boots anyway.
