The air stills as the Demon of the Mist on the Uchiha-sensei stare at one another with narrowed eyes, a short breeze causes the leaves to gently sway, as one rouge leaf separated from its branched. The mist seemed to cover the clearing with a thick white blanket, to where you can see only a faint outline of the branches from the surrounding trees. The group watched the tense moment snap, as Zabuza and Obito disappear and suddenly reappear in the center of the clearing. The bystanders watched the clash of metal, of the executioner's blade and a chakra enforced kunai, as the shockwave of the colliding blades could be heard and felt by those near the clearing.

After the first clash between the two jonin, they jumped back a few feet, putting a bit of distance between them. All the while, Obito's Sharingan were activated, illuminating a soft crimson glow with the tomoe circling like a pinwheel. The Uchiha's eye always followed his opponent, studying, watching, every move. Every hand movement, movement of the executioner's blade, every twitch of the muscles before moving in for a punch or reading his stance for a kick. That the Momochi kept throwing against him repeatedly, only having enough time to block each relentless attack.

While on the sidelines, Iruka pulled out a scroll and started writing a defense seal to protect the kids and the bridge builder. After ensuring that they were safe behind the barrier Iruka began forming seals to attack in case Obito needed back up. However, the Umino knew it was too dangerous for him to join the fight between two high-level jonin. And with the mist being so thick he doesn't know if Zabuza was traveling alone, or if there's other shinobi around hidden under the cover of the mist.

Sasuke watched as his cousin's fight raged on for several minutes, as it appeared that the two were evenly matched and could hear Naruto silently cheer their Sensei's victory. However, with Obito's Sharingan and Zabuza's sword skills, neither ninja had a visible advantage. At least to the students, the match looked equal, as they watch Obito take a right hook to the face after elbowing Zabuza in the ribs.

The rogue Mist Shinobi was getting sick of this back-and-forth match, and in his frustration decided to swing his sword directly at Obito's head in a quick attempt to end the fight. While the Uchiha-sensei managed to get out of the way just in time, and all Zabuza's sword caught was the edge of the metal plate of his forehead protector, which caused it to untie and fall onto the mud of the newly upturned grass. Zabuza chuckled to himself. He may not have been able to gain a physical advantage over the Uchiha, but he knew stories that could lead to the chance to gain one of a different kind.

"Why not use that little lightning move that you stole from your little dead friend," Zabuza mocked, with a sadistic grin under the cover of the bandages.

Obito flinches at the bait before weary red spinning eyes turned sharp and deadly. "What did you say?" The Uchiha spoke through gritted teeth but was unable to dodge the kick planted into his gut making him slide back.

"Oh, come on! Everyone knows that you were a nobody before you got those fancy eyes of yours!" Zabuza spat, as he was able to put a cut on Obito's forearm when the Uchiha sloppily block his body from the large blade. "And, how you got that fancy lightning show of a jutsu! Did you ever tell your precious little genin?" Zabuza spoke with a tinge of anger, unfazed when Obito's kunai put a shallow cut on his left cheek, as the bandages soak the blood like a sponge.

"What's he talking about Sensei?" Naruto asked as Sakura shared the blonde's confusion and Sasuke stayed quiet since he heard the story from his cousin, Shisui.

Zabuza grinned as he spoke in a storyteller tone, "it was the story of how three child soldiers were tasked with destroying the famous Kannabi Bridge. One was captured, the other two went to save the captured soldier, only for the youngest child, the prodigy of the team to give their life, to protect the other two child soldiers. Then one of the two remaining soldiers awakened their Kekki Genkai and stole the technique of their fallen child soldier."

"Shut. Your. Mouth." Obito spoke darkly as the area was filled with the Uchiha's killing intent. Before fighting with relentless attacks, they were becoming more reckless and leaving more openings for Zabuza to counterattack.

Iruka ordered the children to protect the bridge builder, and quickly joined the fray. Which lead to Zabuza making three water clones to keep the chunnin busy, as the academy teacher used the shadows shuriken jutsu infused with a lightning seal, that dispelled two of the clones. The Umino quickly slipped by the clone Zabuza, high chakra infused kicked the original Zabuza, who was standing on top of the Uchiha with his blade pointed at Obito's throat. Luckily, the kick pushed the Momochi off and possibly broke a rib.

The Leaf Jonin-sensei thanked and apologized to the Chunnin-sensei, as the Uchiha threw a kunai coated in lightning chakra that forced the remaining water clone to dispel. While Zabuza retreated to a nearby tree standing on one of the high branches. Iruka smiled at Obito, as he spoke in his stern yet comforting teacher's voice, " it's not your fault. Remember Kakashi died to protect what was important to him. You must not let the enemy loud your emotions. Obito, if you die then Kakashi's death will be in vain."

The Uchiha-sensei nodded, giving a small smile. That was when Zabuza a sound of anger as his eyes narrowed at the Uchiha as if he is judging the worth of the shinobi standing on the ground, below him. Then charged at the two shinobi, Obito blocks the first punch. However, the rogue shinobi managed to hit Iruka with the flat side of his blade, sending the chunnin flying backward and slamming into the trunk of a nearby tree.

Iruka grimaced from the impacts and pain in his back, before slowly staggering to his feet. Once a felt like his head stopped spinning, Iruka use the water whip jutsu, that Lady Kushina helped him enhance, to lasso the rogue shinobi. Before sending Zabuza flying backward into a tree of his own. While Obito made several hand signs within a blink of an eye. Suddenly lightning starts to surround the Uchiha, as it sprung from the ground focusing into the palm of his hand. Incasing it with a heavy dense electrical energy, the high-pitched sound of chirping birds rang wildly through the clearing.

The students and bridge builder watched as the Leaf Jonin-sensei sprinted towards the rogue shinobi with his lightning-covered hand. That was pointed close to the ground, as the electricity scorched the grass below, as the air filled with a static charge. While Zabuza was trying to move from the tree but realized the water jutsu had a chakra notifying seal. Which was probably attached to the end of the water whip, that was in contact with his back, leaving him unable to break free from the jutsu. Iruka grinned, knowing that this fight is now as good as over. Even though he's not particularly fond of killing opponents, he knows what is necessary to protect his team.

Suddenly a boy and his mid-teens launched himself into the clearing from the trees under the cover of the mist wear and Mist Anbu mask. While terrified voice screamed, "Master Zabuza!"

Before Obito's Chidori could pierce Zabuza, a blueish purple flash of light, blinded everyone. A second later the Uchiha felt something touch his lightning-covered hand forcing his hand to curl into a fist. The next second the light disappeared, and a figure stood between Obito and Zabuza. The Uchiha was speechless, as he stared at the mask was the same as the drawing that Genma made when he was visiting Team Choza at the hospital. The figure was around his height, had more of a lean body build, wearing all black. All the way, from his black combat vest to black closed-toed boots and gloves. The figure also had the hood of their sweatshirt up, leaving the only thing that stood out was the light gray porcelain mask of a wolf that had red markings on it.

"Master Wolf!" The masked boy that darted into the clearing, called out with surprise and relief.

"Sorry I'm late, Zabuza, Haku, I just had to finish up some business before making my way back," the male voice spoke under the wolf mask.

Then with a large pulse of chakra, Wolf pushed Obito into Iruka, which causes the enhanced water whip jutsu to break. releasing the Momochi. While Iruka was staring at the newcomer in bewilderment much like his Uchiha comrade. However, the Uchiha-sensei guest that the chunnin didn't know about the mysterious wolf character running around, and was probably surprised that someone had been able to stop the Chidori. Something no one has ever done before and this wolf masked shinobi did so with only their hand and with such ease too.

"You finished the mission? Took you long enough, you know I hate stalling," Zabuza grumbled as he picked up the executioner's blade from where it fell on the ground.

"Maa, sorry about that. It took a while, but our job in the village is done," Wolf replied. While letting out a nervous chuckle, he placed a gloved hand on the back of his hooded head.

"What! What job? What did you do to our village!" Tazuna yelled, scared of all the things these rogue shinobi could have done to his poor little village while he was done.

"Go, and you'll see for yourself," the wolf-masked shinobi answered with a light tone.

"Wait! That's it? You're just leaving?" Obito questioned not sure of whether he should fight the group. Since the Wolf saved his friends and has yet to do anything to hurt them.

"Of course, we have no query with your village." The wolf replied, before adding "so long." Then the group disappeared in a flash of purple light, as the mist begins to dissipate.

"Come on, we need to get the village quickly!" Tazuna yelled and start running towards the Wave village. The group of shinobi followed in suit, as Naruto complained about how that stupid Wolf mask guy stole his victory.
