Link had never felt so powerful in his entire life as he stood in the arena, knowledge that only Kishin could have had now flowed in his mind, adding to his ever growing arsonal. Power now quite literally rushed through his veins, he felt on top of the world, yet as he stood there having an intense staring contest with Ganondorf, he couldn't help but feel slightly uneasy. Ganondorf wore a menacing grin on his tanned face, which is what made Link so uneasy, the man seemed so confident in himself almost as if Link wasn't even a threat.
Like Link the man also didn't carry any sort of weapon, which only confused Link more, sure the man was clearly stronger than your average person, but he couldn't hope to match Link in pure strength, right? That's when Link saw it, the ethereal purple waves flowing off of Ganondorf's body, this is what Tokan did, Link realised instantly. Taking a deep breath, Link dashed towards the man and sent out two jabs to his body. The punches collided with their targets, but Ganondorf showed no reaction besides his grin getting slightly wider. All of a sudden, Ganondorf's right arm that had been laying at his side swung upwards and slapped Link in the face, sending him flying and creating a shockwave.
So that was the power of the Gerudo gods, thought Link as he dragged himself off the floor. Link had learnt through his new memories and expanded knowledge that what Ganondorf and Tokan had done to attain such power was to pray to the Gerudo goddess. He supposed that it only made sense that Ganondorf was better at using the goddess' gifts than Tokan was. Ganondorf was still standing in the exact place he had landed when he first jumped into the arena and still had that same wide grin on his face. Link took a deep breath and charged in again, going through hand signs as he ran, before he reached down and dragged his hand along the floor sending out a bunch of electricity swimming along the floor towards Ganondorf. The lightning hit the man's feet and ran through his entire body, Link jumped up and sent a devastating kick to the Gerudo king's jaw.
Ganondorf's head snapped to the side as the kick landed, Link dropped to the floor and prepared to send a fully powered punch to the man's stomach, hoping the electricity would keep him paralysed for a bit longer. However, before Link could even move to throw the punch, Ganondorf had regained his ability to move and executed a perfect roundhouse to Link's face, once again battering Link away. A bit of the damage from the kick had been absorbed by Link's arms as he had managed to put up his guard at the very last second. Growing annoyed at being batted away like a bug, Link grit his teeth and ran through hand signs, before all of a sudden nearly all of the sand rose off the ground and took the shape of a large fist that was immediately launched at Ganondorf. Ganondorf brought his fists up in the shape of an x in front of his face in hopes of protecting himself as much as possible. When the sand finally settled it showed that Ganondorf still stood in the same place with his arms crossed and a grin on his face.
"I thought you were a ruikenian boy?" Ganondorf shouted from across the arena. Link froze where he stood, anger surged through him like a venom. Link once again dashed forward causing sand to spray up everywhere, Link went through hand signs before anyone could tell, he took a deep breath before shooting out a bullet of water and electricity mixed into one. The bullet smacked into Ganondorf's face, once again paralysing him, he watched as Link flew towards him and punched him in the face with as much force as possible. Ganondorf was blasted into the wall surrounding the circular arena. Ganondorf picked himself off the floor and looked over to see Link standing in a stance he hadn't seen in years, the boy's hair was now nearly fully white and if he looked close enough he swore he could see Link's eyes glowing.
It is as I thought, the prophecy is real, Ganondorf thought to himself, before he grinned. He disappeared before everyone's eyes and then reappeared behind Link with his fist cocked back ready to let out a powerful blow. Link swivelled around, eyes wide as he ducked under the powerful blow that blasted over his head. Ganondorf's stomach was left wide open for Link to send an uppercut crashing into it. Ganondorf heaved a bit as the blow struck, before he dodged back out of range of Link. Ganondorf grinned before lifting his hand up into the air and shouting out in ancient Gerudo, when he brought his hand down a red streak flew through the sky and slammed into Link. After a couple of seconds, the telltale claps of thunder resounded throughout the colosseum, there was a large sand cloud surrounding the arena, stopping everyone, even Ganondorf from seeing the damage.
The cloud slowly drifted away leaving everyone to see something that shocked them to their cores. Link was standing upright just as he had been doing before, but now in his right hand he held a still crackling blood red lightning bolt. Ganondorf's eyes widened, but he had no time to think as Link suddenly appeared at his side, Link swiped at Ganondorf's body with the lightning bolt. Ganondorf just barely managed to back step out of the way of the deadly weapon. Link began chasing Ganondorf around the arena, trying to strike the man with the lightning. Link charged in again, feinting a strike to Ganondorf's head. Ganondorf ducked attempting to dodge the fake attack, but as he lowered his head the sand of the arena shot up off the floor and punched square in the jaw knocking him back up. Link stabbed forwards and managed to singe Ganondorf's cheek with the lightning blade.
Ganondorf was on the defence again as he weaved out of the way of another slash from Link. Link went for another overhead slash, when Ganondorf dodged to the side his fist shot out and collided with Link's ribs causing him to wince slightly. Link pulled back and eased off as he looked for any sort of weakness in Ganondorf's defence, but found none, if he kept up the fight like this then it would quickly turn into an endurance contest.
"This is a bit unfair, no? Here let me get you a weapon" Link spoke, shocking Ganondorf. Out of nowhere there was another lightning strike and Link now had another bolt in his other hand, the only difference was that this one was blue, he then threw it to Ganondorf, who caught it out of reflex and was shocked to find he could somehow hold it. "Don't worry I encased it with my chakra so you can hold it as if it was any other blade" Link spoke again answering the unasked question. The two fighters grinned and nodded to one another before shooting towards each other, they began clashing, sparks flying off in all directions as the lightning blades smacked into one another.
Link ducked under a strike that crackled and fizzled over his head, slicing through the air. He stabbed forward into Ganondorf's unguarded body, the attack was batted away by Ganondorf's blade that was brought back down. Link began slashing and striking in all directions over Ganondorf's body as he ran circles around him. Both fighters were picking up speed as sand began flying up off the ground, eventually, both fighters dodged backwards to catch their breath. That was when Ganondorf saw it, all the sand they had kicked up was now surrounding him in the shape of a thousand small needles, Link had been distracting him the entire time with the bombardment of attacks. Ganondorf attempted to leap towards Link, but before his feet could even leave the floor, the needles shot at him and embedded into his skin stopping his attack before it could even start.
Link charged the hurt and stunned Ganondorf, he brought his blade back ready to swing with all his strength, only to have to swing the blade back around into guarding as Ganondorf snapped to attention and brought his blade slicing upwards, the two blades collided and Link was sent flying backwards to the other end of the arena. Link regained his footing and stabbed his blade into the ground before running through hand signs, Ganondorf saw this and began dashing towards him, hoping to stop whatever attack Link was charging. Link took in a deep breath before shooting out all of his oxygen in the form of fire. The massive spiral of flames quickly took on the shape of a massive dragon seemingly swallowing Ganondorf whole.
Link wasn't planning on letting Ganondorf have any time to recuperate as he charged straight towards the man who was now littered in burn marks, his lightning blade had also been affected as it was shaking and crackling even more. Link shot forward and went for a horizontal slash at Ganondorf's head, Ganondorf raised his blade to block. Link's lightning blade smashed through Ganondorf's, sending the lightning fizzling out into the air. Link didn't let up on the man as he kept slicing and slashing, slowly gaining in speed the longer it went on, before long, Link had waves of blue and white energy flowing off of him, his hair now fully white. Ganondorf couldn't dodge all of the attacks that were sent his way, Link stabbed, singed and slashed the man continuously.
Link pulled back and looked at the damage he had caused, Ganondorf was covered in wounds, blood dripping all over his body, but despite this the man still grinned through his bloodied mouth. Link smiled back at the man as he watched the purple energy surrounding the man flow away with the wind. Link pointed his blade at Ganondorf's neck silently telling him to forfeit. Ganondorf smiled and stared off into the sky almost like he was reminiscing before he spoke quietly, but happily.
"I forfeit" Silence resonated around the stadium, before everyone burst into action. Cheering and screaming was all that could be heard throughout the city, Ganondorf smiled at Link, who grinned back, before wobbling. The smile on Ganondorf's face dropped just as Link did, face first into the floor. He chuckled quietly before slowly limping over and reaching down to pick up the exhausted warrior. He lifted Link up on his shoulders as he bellowed out to the colosseum.
"Link Uchiha of Ruiken, is your champion!" somehow the crowd managed to get even louder as the excitement reached its peak. "Thank you for coming today, I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay here!" With that said Ganondorf began making his way out of the arena.
Link slowly blinked back into life, he moved to rub his eyes before he realised what had happened. He snapped to attention and took in his surroundings, he was in a luxurious king size bed, in an even more luxurious room, this blew his hotel room out of the water. He looked down and saw that he had been stripped out of his armour and was just in his boxers. Throwing the covers off, he slowly got out of the bed and looked around the room searching for some clothes. He found some hung over a chair that was tucked into a desk on the far side of the room. He had just managed to get his trousers on when the bedroom door burst open and a frantic woman entered. She was just a bit shorter than Link and like nearly all the people inhabiting the Gerudo city, had bright red hair. Although her hair was messily tied into a bun on her head, she wore the usual gerudo soldier attire, but Link couldn't see a weapon on her.
"Hello, mister Link, I'm really sorry to disturb you, but I was sent here to check if you were awake yet which you clearly are" She spoke so fast Link could barely comprehend her, he grabbed the shirt off the chair and began buttoning it up as he looked at her expectantly. "Oh right yes, now that you're awake, you have been requested to go to the main dining hall of the Gerudo palace, there is a party being thrown for your victory in the colosseum" Once again the woman spoke so fast she had to take a deep breath at the end. Link nodded and slowly walked towards the door, she moved out of his way letting him leave the bedroom. Link was about to take a step, before he turned back and peaked into the room to see the woman muttering to herself as she stared at the wall.
"You do know I have no clue where the main dining hall is right?" The woman snapped back to life at the sound of his voice, she turned around and stared at him wide-eyed.
"Oh yeah, right sorry, follow me please" with that the woman left the room and began hastily walking down the corridor. Link walked behind her, he couldn't help but be amused by the odd girls behaviour as he heard her mutter "stupid stupid stupid" under her breath like a mantra.
It wasn't long before the woman had successfully escorted Link to the party, they walked through two massive doors out into the party. There were as many people as there were at the princess' party, although this time the people looked actually happy to be there and were all laughing and having fun. He heard a recognisable loud cheer come from his left, as he turned he saw his best friend, Midas. He had a massive goofy grin on his face and a bottle in his hand and was barreling towards Link.
"You are actually nuts! Look at you dude, you look badass, I'm loving the new style" Midas' shouts of praise confused Link at first, before he remembered that he now had Kishin's hair and eyes. Many of the party goers were now staring at them in amusement. "And that's not even the coolest bit, you are somehow a literal god with chakra after training for like what a week if that and even more awesome, you used lightning as a sword, fucking lightning" Link couldn't help but laugh outloud at his friend. Soon he realised someone had joined his laughter, he looked to his right and saw Ganondorf walking over chuckling.
"Yes as Midas said you are indeed nuts, I want to congratulate you properly Link, you proved that you carry the will and strength of the ruiken tribe and what's more, you seem to be fulfilling your part history" Link was confused by the cryptic comment but shrugged it off and thanked the man. Link wanted to ask if he could see the artefacts the man claimed to have, after all it was the main reason Link had decided to fight in the colosseum, but decided against it for now. It wasn't long before Link, Midas and Ganondorf were all drinking and telling stories to one another, as if they were lifelong friends. It also turned out that Losos was also there and had watched the fights. It was around an hour, maybe two when all of a sudden the doors burst open and a familiar face came racing into the room.
"Where is Link? I have urgent news!" It was Impa?
