Chapter 2

Traveling Then going Home.

Two years have passed and Yumi is now 9 years old. Yumi and Ford are traveling through yet another dimension. They are looking for a rift to go through to go to another dimension. In their way is a huge cave. So Ford and Yumi walked into the cave. Once in the cave they are amazed at what they see. They can see crystals of all shapes, sizes, and colors. Soon Ford sat down and started drawing. While he drew Yumi looked around. She is amazed at what she sees. Yumi stayed where she can see Ford. Soon Ford finished drawing. He stood and went to walk forward. When he did he kicked something. Ford looked down and saw a piece of crystal.

He bent down and picked it up. Ford has a piece of purple crystal. Yumi walked up to Ford and saw the crystal that he picked up. She smiled and said "That's pretty Daddy." Ford smiled, knelt down, and said "Here sweety you can have it." Yumi took the crystal and said "Thank you Daddy." She put the crystal in her bag as Ford stood back up. Then they continued on their way. Three years have passed and Yumi is now 12 years old. Right she and Ford are getting ready. To walk through a field. They both know that being out in the open can be potently dangerous. Soon they are ready to go and they. Started walking quickly across the field. Soon they are in the middle of the field.

Suddenly Ford heard growling coming from behind them. He looked and saw a creature that looks like. A huge naked mole rat with long claws, many sharp teeth, beaty eyes, and has a thick hide. Ford knows this creature all to well. It's a Gorza beast and it's running toward them.

"Run Yumi Run!" yelled Ford

He and Yumi took off running across the field. They are also looking for a tree or a rift. Yumi being younger is a bit a head of Ford. Suddenly Ford stumbled and the Gorza beast grabbed Ford. He yelled in pain and Yumi heard him. She stopped dead in her tracks. And saw that the Gorza beast has a hold of Ford. She is afraid that the beast will kill Ford. So she took off running as fast as she can toward the Gorza beast. Yumi bum rushed the Gorza beast. The gorza beast is surprised by this and let got of Ford. Now the gorza beast is mad it swiped out at Yumi. It's claws scratched Yumi's upper right arm and shoulder.

Now Yumi is mad so she started yelling "Get out of here you ugly piece of crap! Leave my Dad alone!" The beast didn't like this and backed away. Then it ran away. Yumi grabbed Ford's arm and they took off running again. She saw a blue rift open and she an Ford went through it. Now in a different dimension Yumi looked around and saw a cave near by. She went into it and made sure that there isn't anything in it. Yumi didn't see anything so she motioned for Ford to come in. They sat down and Yumi got into Ford's bag. Using their first aid supplies they took care of each others wounds. As Ford took care of Yumi's wounds.

"Thank you for saving me my brave girls." Thanked Ford

"I couldn't let thing kill you Dad." stated Yumi

After taking of their wounds they sat back and rested. A year has passed and Yumi is 13 years old. And has been traveling with Ford for eight years. Right now they are sheltered in a cave. They are in a dimension that's really cold. Ford and Yumi are cuddled up together by a fire keeping warm. Back on the Earth in Gravity Falls Oregon. Stanley Ford's twin brother has Ford's portal up and running. He's trying to keep Dipper, Soos, and Mabel from turning it off. Back in the dimensions Yumi has left the cave. She's looking for a rift so she and Ford. Can get out of this dimension. So far she has seen colors of rifts that are bad. Thanks to Ford's teaching Yumi knows which colors are good. And which colors are bad.

Ford also taught her what to look for. Just in case his portal where ever to be reactivated. She walked a little way and saw something a head. There in the distance is a crystal blue portal. It's Ford's portal so Yumi ran back toward the cave. Thanks to her long legs and light frame. Yumi isn't sinking to deep into the snow. She ran into the cave and said "Dad I think your portal has been activated." Ford perked up and asked "Are you sure." Yumi nodded and said "Yes I'm sure follow me." The two toned grey haired man followed Yumi out of the cave. They ran through the snow and up a slight hill. Ford looked and say a crystal blue portal. He can't believe that his portal has been reactivated.

In a way he's been praying for this. And in another way he know that it's dangerous. Not wanting to loose this opportunity pass by. Ford grabbed Yumi's hand and they ran toward the portal. Back on Earth Mabel decided to trust Stanley. And she didn't press the button. A flash of bright crystal blue light filled the basement. When the light disappeared and everything hit the ground. Everyone looked over at the portal. They watched as a person dressed in black. Walked out of portal, walked over to one of the journals, placed their six finger hand on it, then put it in their coat.

"Who... who it that?" asked Dipper

"The author of the journals my brother." replied Stanley

The man in black took off his goggles and pulled down his hood. He stepped forward and punched Stanley. As Stanley went toward the man wanting to hug him. The punch surprised everyone.

"That was an insanely dangerous move. Reactivating the portal. Didn't you read my warnings?" asked the man

"Yeah, yeah but it looks like I saved you from some sci-fi side burn dimension. Can't I at least get a thank you?" asked Stanley

"Thank you why would I thank you? For what you did 30 years ago?" replied the man

Just then the two men started fighting. Soon the man in black has Stan on the ground.

"Hi Mabel here I just have one question? What the heck is going on here?" asked Mabel

The man in black stood and said "Stan you didn't tell me that. There are children down here and some humanoid mole." Soos just laughed and Stanley said "They're your family Sherman's grand kids." The man in black seemed to calm down a bit. He knelt down in front of Mabel and shook her hand. And Dipper freaked out meeting the author of the journals.
