England: Day

While Dominic may not have looked like it, he was far older than he appeared. As such, it was only natural he knew how to drive. Unfortunately, he was never taught how to park. One of the downsides of being mentored by a guy who drove around on a podium.

So, the result was his car ending up ON TOP of someone else's. "Does this count as double-parking?" he asked Harry and Calore once they exited the vehicle. Harry was dressed in a black T-shirt with short sleeves and blue jeans. Calore was wearing a yellow sweater with a flame design and black pants, a hand-me-down from her aunt.

"So, why are we in London?" Harry asked.

"Well, that letter of yours listed a bunch of bullcrap that I'm not able to get back home. So, I came here to find a place that sells them." the blonde monarch said, looking for a building with a magical aura as he walked. Eventually, the trio came across a pub called The Leaky Cauldron. The place seemed to be enchanted so that only people with magic could see it. "Well, that's conspicuous." Dominic said as he opened the door. Upon doing so, his nose was assaulted with the smell of alcohol and beard hair. 'I really hope this is the right place.' he thought as he walked to the bar table.

"Aren't you a bit young to be in a place like this?" the bartender asked, looking at Dominic, Calore, and Harry.

"Trust me, this is the last place I want to be. But this is the only way into Diagon Alley without using explosives." Dominic said, emitting a small fraction of menacing aura. The bartender began sweating, unable to comprehend what was in front of him. "Could you please tell me how to get there?"

The bartender only pointed toward a door at the far end of the room, then fainted.

"Okay, let's get out of here. I can already feel something sticking to my leg." the monarch said as he and his progeny exited the pub. What they found was...less than ideal.

"It's just a wall." Harry said, unsure if this was where they were supposed to be.

"If I've learned anything playing 'Super Mario Bros.', it's that if you mess with a wall enough, something's bound to happen." Dominic began touching the wall, trying to find something that would trigger a door to appear. Eventually, he managed to open the gate. Walking through it, the family saw a bustling shopping district with a wide variety of stores.

"What kind of place sells brooms?" Calore asked as they walked through the area.

"Eh, it's not the weirdest thing that's been sold. One guy thought he could become rich by selling Hitler's mustache hair." Dominic said, his eye catching a uniform shop. "It's probably best if we got you uniforms first." The trio walked into the store, named 'Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions'.

"Hogwarts?" the lady behind the desk asked, surprising Dominic.

"Heh. What gave it away?" he replied.

"A lot of first-years come through around September. Don't worry, I'll take care of everything. Another young man is being fitted right now, as a matter of fact." the woman explained.

"Thanks. By the way, could you make her's fireproof?" Dominic asked, getting an odd look out of the woman.

"Why?" she asked.

"You have your secrets, and I have mine." he said before going to a chair by the window and falling asleep in it. That process took five seconds.

"Okay then. Come along, children." the woman said, guiding the kids into the fitting room. Harry and Calore stood on stools before long robes were pulled over their bodies.

"Hello. Hogwarts too?" a pale, blonde boy asked. He too was being fitted for robes, but somehow more obnoxiously.

"Yeah. We just got our letters today." Calore said.

"My father is next door buying books, and mother is up the street looking at wands." the pale boy said. "I'll probably drag them off to look at racing brooms. I don't see why first-years can't have their own." At that, Harry remembered a story his father told him about a place called Rainbow Road. According to the King, it was hell even for the most experienced racers. Because of that, Harry didn't want to race any time soon.

"But what if a kid falls off? There's probably a ton of training before you can ride those things." Calore asked.

"Well, I suppose you're right. What about you, do you have a broom of your own?" the boy asked.

"No, but our dad lets us watch him race. He's surprisingly good for a man who once got lost in an Ikea." Harry said.

"Okay..." the boy said, slightly put off by that remark. "Do you know what House you'll be in yet?"

"Uh..." Harry and Calore didn't hear anything about Houses yet. "I don't really know. What about you?" Calore asked, trying to get information.

"Well, nobody really knows until they get there. But I'm fairly certain I'll be in Slytherin." the boy said, confident. "All my family have been. Imagine being in Hufflepuff. I think I'd leave, wouldn't you?"

"I doubt that's the worst thing that can happen to a guy." Calore said, curious about what Hufflepuff and Slytherin were.

"Maybe. Still, if I was chosen for Hufflepuff, I'd find a way out. If only to avoid Mudbloods." the boy said, angering Harry. The woman had accidentally stung Calore with one of her pins when she heard him say that.

(CLANK)

"Oh, sorry." the woman said.

"It's fine. If something like that could hurt me, I wouldn't be alive right now." Calore said before turning to the pale boy with her eyes glowing a faint red.

"Some adults don't like that word. By the way, I'm Malfoy. Draco Malfoy." the pale boy introduced. "But what's your surname? Where are your parents?"

"Dad's asleep in the front room." Harry said.

"And your mother?" Draco asked.

"Don't got one." Calore explained.

"Oh, sorry." Malfoy said, assuming that their mother was dead. "But she was our kind, right?"

"I'm afraid I don't follow." Harry said.

"Dad can use magic, if that's what you mean." Calore said, understanding Draco.

"I really don't think they should let the other kind in, do you? They've never been brought up to our ways." Malfoy said. Calore could feel her blood sizzling at that. Most of her family had grown up in non-magical households. "Some have never even heard of Hogwarts until they get the letter, imagine. I think they should keep it in the old wizarding families. But, you didn't tell me your surname, did you?"

"Our dad's last name is Xiao-Long." Calore said. She knew Malfoy wouldn't have heard of the name before, as the Mountain King's reign existed beyond this universe.

"Tells me nothing." Draco said after a few seconds of searching his brain.

"And...done!" the woman said, finishing Malfoy's robes. Calore let out a sigh of relief that she didn't have to talk to that guy anymore. Well, until Hogwarts. After another two minutes, their robes were done as well.

"Dad, wake up." Harry said, snapping his fingers in front of Dominic's face.

"Uh, I didn't kill him, your honor!" the blonde yelled upon waking. Blinking his eyes, he realized where he was. "Oh. You guys are done already?"

"Yes, we happened to meet a very annoying kid while you were out." Calore said.

"He was...difficult." Harry explained.

"I'd ask for more details, but I need to pay. So, how much?" Dominic asked the woman.

"15 Galleons." she answered.

"I have no idea what that is. But, I do have this." the monarch said, pulling a Gold Bar out of his pocket and placing it on the counter. "Let's get out of here. What was the next thing on that list again?"

"A wand." Harry said as they exited the tailor shop.
