It was between 9:15 AM and 9:20 AM on Nov 1st 1981 that Lily's eyes opened. She instantly sat up on her bed in the hospital wing of Hogwarts crying out, "HARRY! WHERE'S MY BABY?!"

Suddenly, she felt someone squeezing her left hand and turned to see that it was Sirius who said, "Don't worry Lily. Harry's ok. He's with Amelia. Harry and Susan are right outside with her."

She felt someone hug her and cry out, "Lily! You're alright!"

Lily cried out in response, "James, you're ok! But I want to see my baby boy!"

Just then, the doors to the infirmary opened and Amelia walked in holding Harry and Susan in her arms. As soon as they reached Lily's bed, Harry saw her and started crying, "MAMA, DADA!"

Lily took Harry from Amelia and hugged him tightly, crying as she did so. After a minute, she cried, "I couldn't lose my baby!"

It took ten minutes for Harry to calm down in Lily's arms after which, James held his son and kissed his forehead in joy, tears flowing from his eyes.

Minerva, Remus, Sirius, Severus and Marlene were all standing around. After a few minutes, James turned to Severus and spoke, "If it hadn't been for you, Lily and I would have died! We owe you our lives! Only your spell could have put us out for 12 hours like that, and only someone like you could have hit us with that kind of timing for the killing curses to miss us! Thank You!"

Severus hugged James and Lily saying, "I couldn't lose my family like that! If I had…"

Lily smiled and said, "You haven't lost us! You saved us all!"

After they all ended the embrace, James suddenly hissed, "Where's that rat Peter?! I swear I'm going to kill him for betraying us!"

Severus answered with as much anger as James, "He's been arrested. I wanted to kill him but Dumbledore persuaded me not to. Peter's now in a holding cell and his trial will be soon. He will be punished."

Suddenly, Lily gasped and called out, "Come look at Harry's forehead!"

Everyone gathered around and sure enough, there was something on Harry's forehead, a lightning bolt shaped scar.

"What happened?" Lily asked, "Did Voldemort do this to him?!"

Severus hung his head and slowly said, "I'm so sorry."

He remained silent for a while before gravely continuing, "I realized that I could not save Harry the same way as you and James, and tried to pull Voldemort away from Harry. Unfortunately, he overpowered me and cast the killing curse on him. Somehow, instead of killing Harry, it rebounded on Voldemort and destroyed his body."

Everyone except Minerva (who had already heard the story) was horrified and amazed to hear that. After a few minutes, Lily slowly asked tearfully, "How could he do such a thing?! How did my baby survive?"

Severus answered, "Dumbledore knows how to explain it in the best way. It is better we wait for him. He will be here soon."

Lily asked, "Is that where Voldemort struck Harry?" referring to the scar.

Minerva answered, "It is. I asked Dumbledore about it and he said that curse scars can be useful, so it may help Harry in the future."

Lily breathed in relief when she heard that.

Suddenly, she saw Harry reaching his hand out to Susan. She smiled and patted her lap for her to sit on. Amelia happily handed Susan over, and soon both babies were hugging each other before proceeding to play with a toy snitch that Sirius had brought along with him.

It was now 2 PM. Lily and James were still in the hospital wing, as Poppy Pomfrey, the mediwitch had insisted upon them staying until the next morning.

They had just finished having their lunch and Sirius, Amelia, Severus, Marlene and Remus were standing around the Potters and Susan when Dumbledore entered.

He went up to the group and said, "Good afternoon everyone."

Turning to Lily and James, he said, "It is good to see that you are alive and awake."

Lily and James smiled at him while Harry and Susan slept on, completely unaware of Dumbledore's presence.

Lily's smile turned into a serious expression and she said, "Dumbledore, Severus said that he saw Voldemort using the killing curse on Harry. How did he survive?"

Dumbledore explained, "You were given a choice to stand aside. Yet you chose death. You were willing to die for your child, and that gave Harry a protection of love, an ancient magic which Voldemort knows of and despises. I believe that Severus' spell helped trigger that protection without you actually dying."

Lily's eyes widened and she said, "So that means that Severus saved me and Harry in knocking us out!"

Severus responded, "Lily, it was your love that saved Harry. Your willingness to die for him saved him."

Dumbledore waited for a few moments and then spoke, "Voldemort has been defeated. The Wizarding world is rejoicing speaking of which, there is something you should know. News about Voldemort's fall has been spreading like wildfire last night. It is known to all that Harry survived the killing curse. No one else has before. Harry is now being held as the savior of the wizarding world, called the Boy-Who-Lived."

Lily and James looked at each other, and then Amelia spoke, "Boy-Who-Lived or not, Harry is my godson and I will see him as such. I will love him as I have before, like my own son, just as I love Susan like she's my own daughter."

Sirius added, "Same here. I don't care whether the world hails him as a hero or not. He's my godson and I love him for who he is, not what his titles are."

Everyone else looked at them and smilingly agreed with them.

James and Lily held Harry and James said to him, "No matter what the world calls you, it won't change the fact the Mama and Dada love you."

Dumbledore smiled and said, "I'm more than happy to see you regarding Harry the same way as before and not as 'The Boy-Who-Lived'."

Severus spoke, "He doesn't need that title to be loved. Love is more important than name and fame. I realized that I love Lily as my true friend, and that made me renounce my Death Eater friends. Voldemort would have given me power and recognition, but that is nothing compared to what you, Minerva, my sister, brother in law, Sirius, Remus, Marlene and Amelia have all done for me! My godchildren are the cutest babies that I have seen and I love them!"

Everyone was moved to hear Severus' words. Amelia in particular was touched to hear Severus refer to both Harry and Susan as his godchildren. Remus went and hugged Severus like a brother, something that wouldn't have happened a little more than four years ago. Minerva went and hugged Severus afterwards declaring, "It's probably not my place to say this, but you're more of a brother to Lily than Petunia has ever been to Lily as a sister!"

Severus hugged Minerva while hiding some savage glee as he imagined Petunia hearing that and screaming. He still hated that woman for what she had done to Lily.

Meanwhile, somewhere in an office building, Vernon Dursley was getting hugged by a strange looking little man, funnily dressed who said, "Today is a happy day! Even a Muggle such as you should be celebrating!"

Back in Hogwarts, Harry and Susan stirred in Lily's lap and opened their eyes slowly. Lily kissed both of them hugged them.

Amelia went over to them and kissed them on their foreheads before hugging them and pretending to eat their noses.

Remus ruffled their hair and said to Dumbledore, "Dumbledore, we will love them as they are, but what about others? I could trust some people like the Weasleys and the Longbottoms, the Tonks too to see Harry in the right way. The Greengrasses, I'm not so sure."

And then suddenly, James' eyes widened and he jumped off his bed and stood straight, grabbing his wand lying on a table next to the bed.
