Trauma

"Iida, I'm just going to ask this once, what the hell man?" Mako asked his friend as he patted his shoulder, the class rep looked away bashfully, "You were going so fast that you could give a run for my money!" he praised to his friend as they walked towards the school for lunch as Melissa walked ahead with the girls of the class. There was a half hour break before the tournament portion of the sports festival, which would allow the participants time to recover from the last two back-to-back events.

Iida adjusted his glasses, "Thank you Mako, however it was never my intention to deceive any of you. I simply hadn't been able to use my recipro in such a way until recently." he explained before turning to Mako. "If I had known I could do it earlier, I would have used it back during the USJ incident to get to the school faster." he explained.

"So that's why I always saw you sprinting around during training." Mako realized, recalling how most of Iida's training was spent with running for long periods. "You were trying to get your engines used to longer periods of heat." he realized.

Iida nodded, "Precisely, however I can only go for so long at that speed before my legs stall out." he explained, making Mako wince. Sometimes he could forget that his friend basically had engines in his legs, which the mental picture of made him recoil a little. Iida looked over to Uraraka as she talked with Melissa, "Still though, I feel ashamed. I didn't team up with my friends because I wanted to stand out on my own…" he admitted.

Mako shook his head, "Don't worry about it, I'm sure they understand. Besides this is all just a festival, I wouldn't take anything here too seriously." he said with a smile. Iida seemed to relax his shoulders in relief at Mako's words, "So uhhh…if something happens to your engines? Do you go to see a doctor, or a mechanic?" he asked.

"Oh my family has a few specialists on call. I once blew my engine in my right leg out when I was ten." he explained, making Mako's eyes widen. "It might just be me, but the sight of power tools and medical equipment is…..unsettling." he said with a shiver that Mako shared with him.

A thought crossed Mako's mind, "Wait a minute…Iida, are you technically a cyborg?" he asked.

Iida opened his mouth to respond, however his response was cut off as Melissa turned back to Mako, "Hey Mako, why didn't you tell anyone we were dating already?" she asked teasingly. He looked over her shoulder as she turned back to look at him to see Jiro and Mina both chuckling at the question.

Mako rolled his eyes as he floated over, "Because I wanted you all to myself?" he answered unsurely with a smile.

Mina titled her head, "Aww!"

"Also because Mina is thirsty for romance of any kind." he added as he landed beside his girlfriend and kept walking with her.

The pink shined girl stuck her tongue out at her, "Don't blame me if there's a lack of romance at this school! I mean for crying out loud you're the only one in our whole class whose dating anyone! And she's not even from this country!" Mina whined as Melissa chuckled, taking Mako's hand in her's.

"I was just telling Mina how we met. And how our dads wanted me to make your first costume for you." she explained before looking at Jiro and Mina. "I told him that if he could get me a name, then I'd be able to make something fitting." she explained.

Jiro hummed as she twirled a earphone jack around her finger, "Man I haven't thought about what my hero's name should be." she admitted.

Mina nodded, "Yeah, I mean I gotta have a list around from when I was a kid or something but honestly I haven't thought about it in so long." she admitted.

Melissa shrugged her shoulders, "That's just me though, and besides you already have your costumes. That helps with the same anyway. I mean there's a reason I made Mako's costume have a big yellow 'i' on it." she said, gesturing to her boyfriend who lifted up his shirt to show off the design.

"Wait that's a….ohhhhh!" Kaminari said in realization as Jiro facepalmed at the electric user's sudden realization.

Mako expected a certain green haired friend to ask for details, but when he looked around he saw his friend wasn't present, "Hey, where' Izuku at?" he asked.

Momo tuned to him, "I think I saw him and Todoroki head off somewhere together? It was towards one of the other exits I think." she said.

Mako hummed as he stopped, "Well I'm gonna go find him, maybe whack him on the head for blowing himself up earlier." he said, before he took off however he leaned over and pecked Melissa on the cheek. "I'll be back."

Mina let out a high-pitched squeal while Iida's arm chopped, "Mako! Whilst I hate to do so in front of guest I must reprimand you! There is no PDA allowed on school grounds!" he said, Melissa snickering as her boyfriend gave the class representative a coy look.

"Ok but I'm not on school grounds." he said, pointing down, Iida looked down to see that Mako was floating a few inches off the ground.

He balked at the teen, "That is-you can't-" Iida stuttered out as Mako flew away, "This discussion is not over Mako!"

"Sure feels like it!" Mako called back.

Melissa shook her head with a smile at her boyfriend's antics before she turned to the class, "By the way, did those explosives hurt at all?" she asked as Mako flew off back towards the stadium. "I mean they had enough force to propell Izuku across the minefield so I have to assume there's some real force behind them." she explained to the others. She remembered how when even one of them went off was enough to send a student flying.

Tsuyu cupped her chin, "I'm more confused to how no one was really hurt by them. Kero." she ribbited.

Melissa raised a finger, "Maybe they're someone's quirk?" she posited.

Kirishima shrugged, "I mean when I see something I can't explain that's what I assume." he replied.

Mina smiled sweetly at the spikey redhead before patting him on the back, "Kirishima? Never change." she said, causing everyone to laugh in good nature at the redhead.

Meanwhile, Mako flew around the front of the stadium, scanning the crowds below for his friend, "Well he didn't come out this way, don't see Todoroki either." he said to himself as he saw a few people look up at him as he flew. He noticed a few people point up at him, and while he couldn't hear them over the crowd, the expressions of fear and uncertainty they had spoke louder then whatever they could say. "….maybe I should just look on the ground." he decided as he flew around the building to the side entrance where most of the students came in from and lowered himself down.

"Midoriya-" Mako stopped when he heard Shoto's voice, "-back when we clashed, I felt a pressure come off you…ne hat forced me to use my left side." he began to explain as Mako hovered in midair. "No one else noticed because none of them felt it, but I experienced that same type of power from All Might, back at the USJ." he said. Mako froze in place, he had seen footage of his dad fighting All Might, and watching Izuku with his punches? It was…similar, but he never really drew any connection to the two of them from it. "Midoriya…..are you All Might's secret Love Child or something?" Todoroki asked with total and complete seriousness.

Mako had to slap a hand down over his mouth as Midoriya sputtered out as well, "N-N-No! What?! No that's not it at all! Though I guess I can see how'd you think that….andIguessthatyouwouldexpectananswerlikethat." he denied, muttering out the last part as Mako tried his damndest not to make a sound to let them know he was eavesdropping.

"Interesting way to put it. 'No, that's not it'." Todoroki noticed, causing both Mako and Izuku to stop, "So there is SOMETHING you're hiding." he rationalized.

Mako pursed his lips together, he remembered how both Iida and Tsuyu noticed that thy had similar powers, And come to think of it he did ask Izuku to have lunch with him that one time…maybe he's getting some extra training from him? Mako assumed. He didn't ask Midoriya about it at the time due to his own personal problems that he was dealing with, but looking back on it? It was a little weird.

"You know, my father is Endeavor, the second highest ranked hero in Japan. So if your somehow connected to All Might, the number one hero then….all the more reason for me to defeat you." Shoto said in a tone that was as cold as the ice he could create. There was a pause before Todoroki continued, "My old man….he's a powerful bastard who's only focused on becoming stronger." he started, Mako felt a familiar pit form in his gut. "He's carved out a name for himself, but to him all he sees is himself living in All Might's shadow…..my father realized he could never beat All Might on his own….so he came up with another idea."

This…..this is sounding too familiar…..shit…. Mako thought.

"Todoroki….why are you telling me this?" Izuku asked with a hard swallow.

"…..are you familiar with quirk marriages?" Todoroki asked, making Mako suck in a sharp gasp through his teeth. Quirk Marriages were something that was borderline illegal in today's world. The idea being that one family would pay another so that they could have offspring by combining the quirks that each parent had to their offspring. He remembered his mother trying her hardest to find a way to overturn a contract for work once, and in the end there was nothing she could do.

"I hate it….being no more than a tool for that bastard!" Todoroki growled out, "I just….remember my mother always crying…..and I remember the exact words she said. 'I can't stand to see that left side of yours.' before….she threw boiling hot water in my face." Mako's hands clenched in anger. Flashes of what his own father said to him flashing in his mind.

"Your Mother means nothing to me."

"Fine! What's sixteen more years? I can always start again!"

"Make another offspring!"

Mako's teeth grinded as he thought of what his father said to him, he never even considered that Todoroki's scar was from…..but how could he? How could anyone? "I'm not using my left side in this tournament as my revenge against him. By rising to the top without using it….that will deny him everything." Todoroki explained. He stood in silence for a moment, letting Izuku absorb his story before turning to the entrance and walking out, "Your connection to All Might regardless, I'll rise above you with just my right side….sorry for wasting your time."

Mako flew close to the wall of the building so his shadow wouldn't be cast down on the ground, his anger was boiling, if Endeavor was here? He was going to find the sonofvabitch, take him out to the field, and beat him until he admits to everything-!

"I…." Izuku began, making Mako pause in his thoughts of anger, "I've always had help….first it was from Mako. Whose always been there for me. But over time it's grown to all the people and friends I've made….I've only come this far because of them." he admitted, looking down at the palm of his hand. "I wanna be just like All Might. Saving people with a smile. And to do that, I have to become the strongest…..and that may not seem like anything compared to why you're doing this….but I'm not going to lose." Izuku said as he looked up to Todoroki, "All the people who have helped me. This is how I'll repay them…..by meeting your declaration of war with my own."

Izuku stiffened his posture, "I'm-" he blinked his eyes into determination, "I'm gonna beat you!" he declared with confidence.

Mako's hands relaxed, the anger ebbing out of him as he listened to his friend, he couldn't just wail on Endeavor, no matter how much he wanted to. That wouldn't help anyone no matter how good it might make him feel, I can't…..I can't blame him for feeling this way…maybe…..maybe I can help. he thought as Todoroki turned and kept walking.

As the son of the number 2 hero continued around the side of the building, away from Midoriya, he felt his right side shiver a little. He shook his head, fighting down the slight chill he had as a shadow passed over his head, "Hey, Todoroki?" he looked up to see Mako hovering above him a few feet away. "You uhh….you want to talk?" he offered.

Melissa stared at the gourmet food on her school tray in awe, Mako had told her that they had a pro hero as their school cook but she never really connected the dots that meant that they could almost whatever they wanted. She had limited herself to some Ramen Noodles, something she would throw in the microwave when working late at night and her stomach would remind her that she needed to eat. "These are the most delicious noodles I think I've ever seen." she said, snapping her chop sticks apart.

Uraraka smiled as his friend's girlfriend tried the professionally prepared food, "Lunch Rush's food is the best huh?" she asked as Melissa swallowed her food, nodding enthusiastically before digging into her food. Uraraka turned back to her own food and began to dig in as well, she had managed to get into the finals thanks to teaming up with Deku and now she needed to try her hardest in the tournament! Which meant filling up on a good meal!

"Sooooo Melissa," Mina began, sitting across from the support student who looked up at her, "you told us how you and Mako met but when did the two of you start dating?" she asked, leaning her elbows on the table while her hands held her chin. Her yellow eyes locked on the blonde with interest while she took a drink.

Tsuyu shook her head beside Mina, "You don't need to answer that, Mina here is just desperate for romance. Kero." she ribbited.

"Your darn right I am!" Mina said proudly, making Melissa smile.

She shook her head, "It's no problem." she waved off, "Me and Mako started dating only really recently, just a week or so ago." she explained.

Uraraka tilted her head, "Really? You guys get along really well, I thought it'd be longer." she admitted.

Melissa's cheeks turned a shade pink, "Well after…..everything that happened….I just couldn't stop thinking about him. How much he made me smile, all the time we hung together…..and I sort of realized I've been thinking about him and what I like about him for a while before that." she admitted with a hint of shyness. Mina had to hold back the squeal building up in the back of her throat. "He was hesitant at first, he wanted to make sure we were getting together for the right reasons, not because I felt bad about what he went though-"

"Smart." Tsuyu chirped.

Melissa nodded, "-and we've been happy ever since." she said with a genuine smile.

Uraraka shifted in her seat a little, "Still though…..it must be hard being so far apart." she said sympathetically.

Melissa nodded, "It can be sometimes, but it's not all that bad. He can fly over to I-Island whenever he wants, we message each other all the time. Being at a distance isn't so bad when we both want to be together." she said cheerfully, making Uraraka smile. "So what about you guys? Anyone special?" she asked curiously.

Uraraka nearly spat out her drink, which Mina and Melissa both noticed and leaned over in interest, the gravity user's face lit up and her hands waved wildly between her and them, before anyone could inquire about her reaction to the question, Jiro and Momo approached the table in hurried walks. "Uraraka, Mina, Tsuyu, can we talk for a moment?" Momo asked. The three girls looked amongst each other before nodding to her, "I'm afraid we need to preform during the break of the sports festival." she said, making Mina groan.

"Awww man! We just got on break though." she whined.

"There more…." Jiro said quietly with pink dusting her cheeks, "Apparently Mr. Aizawa said that we need to be a part of the cheer squad."

The three girls at the table stiffened in embarrassment while Melissa tilted her head, "Wait, hang on, that doesn't make any sense. Why would your teacher make you do that?" she asked. Mako had told her about their homeroom teacher, Eraser head, and while she could understand some of the stunts that he would pull on his students like the lie about failing the quirk assessment test, she couldn't think of a single reason why this would be true.

"Well it IS Aizawa sensei." Uraraka said, rubbing her elbow with her other arm unsurely. "Maybe there's a reason for it?" she asked.

Melissa turned to Jiro and Momo, "Who told you about this?" she asked.

"Kaminari and Mineta…" Momo answered, silence falling over the group as they all seemed to connect the two together. Mako had given Melissa warning about the grape haired boy. While she thought at first that he was being somewhat overprotective of her, she also saw how the purple haired student acted during the first two events of the festival.

"I'm going to kill him." Jiro said threateningly as her earphone jacks lifted up menacingly.

Anger flashed over the other girls, including melissa who felt indignant for the girls around her, suddenly, an idea came to her mind, "Wait…..I have an idea…..you guys want to have some payback?" she asked with glint of mischief in her eyes.

Jiro and Momo slid into the booth beside Mina and Tsuyu, who were leaning over the table in interest, "What do you have in mind?"

"So I didn't know what you liked so I kind of just got you a plain burger." Mako said as he set the tray of food from the fairground vendor down at the table he had convinced Todoroki to sit at. The fire and ice user watched him as he sat down across the table, turning the tray so that the burger he got him was in front of him. "So…..um…..full disclosure I sort of…..overheard that talk between you and Izuku." he said, making the stoic expression that Todoroki was known for falter, Mako quickly raised his hand, "Don't worry I'm not gonna tell anyone I…..I get it….kind of." he said, making he bi-color haired student relax.

"If you know, then why talk to me about it?" he asked as Mako unwrapped his burger from the foil wrapping and peaked under the bun to make sure he not only had gotten the right one but that the man who gave him a dirty look while making didn't do something like spit on it. "If your worried about Midoriya, and you're going to threaten me-"

Mako recoiled, "What?! No! I'm not going to…I just wanted to tell you that as someone who literally had to fight his own dad because he was being a piece of shit…I just want you to know that if you want to talk about it? I'm good to listen….it's actually helped me a lot." he offered, recalling his talks with Midnight. His first thought was obviously trying to get Todoroki to possibly go see her about what was happening, but he dismissed the idea right away. He was offered to go, not forced into it, and if Shoto wanted to do that then had to be his own choice.

"Oh." Todoroki replied simply.

"Yeah….I mean don't get me wrong, don't like cripple my friend or anything. Please. But I'm not going to punch you if you do." he assured.

"You punched Bakugo out a window." Todoroki replied plainly as Mako took a bite of his food.

Mako nodded as he swallowed his bite, "Yes and he had it coming for a long time." he replied before looking up at Todoroki, "I just…wanted to offer is all."

Todoroki looked down at his untouched food and sighed, "I…..I apricate it Mako…..but there's nothing to talk about. If you heard what I said to Midoriya, then you know why I'm doing this. My feelings aren't going to change on the matter." he said plainly. "And our situations are different." he added, "You have to use your father's power….I don't have a choice."

Mako frowned slightly, "That's true. I mean my dad…I didn't know about any of this crap about Viltrumite until the USJ. Up until that point, he was just my dad." he explained. "You…well you've been dealing with this for most of your life." he said understandingly.

Shoto's jaw tightened slightly as Mako ate, "Why…..why do you call him that?"

"Call him what?"

"Dad." Todoroki said plainly, making Mako stop mid bite. "We all saw the video of you fighting him…how can you…..how can you possibly even call him that after what he did to you?" he asked.

Mako sighed as he leaned back in his chair, "I…I don't really know…..I mean I'm still sorting all my feelings about him out…I want to believe that the fact he left? That alone says that there must be some part of him that doesn't believe all that Viltrumite crap he was trying to instill into me." he explained as best he could. His eyes looked off to the side where he saw a number of people stop in their tracks to watch him, whispering amongst themselves.

Todoroki's hands clasped together in front of him, his lips pressed together in a firm line, "I suppose I can't blame you for that…..but still…."

"Like you said, our situations are different. From what I heard, your father wasn't the most…affectionate." he said gently, Todoroki scoffed, "I'm not saying you should forgive him, or anything like that, I'm just telling you that if you want to ever talk, or vent, or whatever? I'm ok for that." he reiterated.

Todoroki looked at him for a long time in silence before standing up, "…..I appreciate it Mako….thank you." he said, taking the burger from the tray and walking off.

The Viltrumite sighed, he wished he could do more to help Todoroki but he couldn't even begin to imagine how he would. I mean is it even my business? I wouldn't want someone poking into my life trying to 'fix' things. he thought as he finished his food. Tossing the wrapper away and setting the tray own, he walked off through the crowd with his hands in his pockets, Who am I kidding? If I could fix my family I'd ask for it in a heartbeat. But I don't know how to help him, hell I don't even know how I could ever convince my dad to surrender, or return or anything….how the hell would I even reach him? he asked himself as he walked towards the school. Can I even reach him? I mean what if I'm wrong and him going away was a fluke? Some crisis of conscious and now he's regained it and…he could be back any day now? he pondered, the idea making his heartrate accelerate and his brow begin to sweat.

Mako felt anxiety spread throughout his body as the thoughts continued, taking a turn between the food stands, he walked out of view of the crowds and leaned against the side of the stall, Breathe. Just Breathe, just like Midnight told you. he told himself. He took a deep breath, held onto it, and then let it out. He turned his back up against the wall and slid down until he was sitting. His hand ran back through his hair, Yeah….your Invincible all right Mako…..shit.

When Mako returned to the stands, he found his girlfriend sitting in the same seat as before with Tsuyu on one side of her, they were talking when she looked up and saw Mako walking down the steps. A brief smile crossed her face until she saw the slightly disheveled look her boyfriend had, walking past Jiro he sat down on the other side of his girlfriend. A long breath leaving him as he leaned back into his seat. He felt a gentle but calloused hand slip into his, making him turn his head to Melissa. "Hey. You ok?" she asked.

He nodded, "Yeah just….kind of in my own head." he admitted, the anxious feeling he had still present. His girlfriend offered a supportive smile and leaned her head on his shoulder, the feeling of her against him made him relax into his chair. He turned to her and smiled before kissing her atop her head in gratitude before turning back to the arena that ha been set up in the stadium's field, his head leaning against her's as he watched the matches for the tournament.

However before that started, he nearly stood up in disbelief when he saw Mineta on the field in his skivvies, the small grape headed boy yelling as he sprinted as fast as he could to the exit as the sight caused an outburst of laughter from the stands. "What the-"

"Don't worry about it." Melissa said sweetly.

"I….but….how-" he asked.

"Well long story short he tried to trick the girls of the class into something, so I convinced them to slip him a note promising him something, that at this rate he'll NEVER get, got Momo to make a sack to throw him into and let him loose onto the field." she explained, Mako grinning as Mineta tried hard to cover his black speedo with purple hearts on it. "But this would have to be someone's brilliant plan, and I don't know who could ever devise something like that." she said sarcastically.

Mako chuckled, "Note to self, never break up with you." he said jokingly, Melissa patting his arm affectionately in response.

They both watched as Ojiro and members of his team forfeited their position since they didn't remember doing anything during the last round, which was eye raising to say the least, which lead to a shuffle with who was part of the finals. When the lots where drawn and he saw the picks for the first round, he winced, "Ooooohhh…poor Uraraka." he said once he saw that she would be facing off against Bakugo in their first round. Izuku would be facing Shinso, someone who he didn't recognize until he saw the purple mop of hair that he recognized as someone who came by the day he returned to school, trash talked Bakugo, and then left. Man the one guy who I actually want to know more about and he's fighting my best friend. Darn. he thought.

"Poor Sero too." Melissa pointed out; the tape shooter was facing Todoroki in the second match. "This almost seems unfair; I mean I understand that you can't always choose who you face as a hero but at least you have options. Here though it's just a straight up fight." she said, looking down at the arena.

Mako rubbed his chin, "I mean that's what it can come down to, I mean some villains like that one guy I faced are just plain strong" he said, recalling his fight with the Elephant, however he couldn't recall the guy's name at the moment.

Melissa pressed her lips together as the contestants made their way off the field to the locker rooms to prepare, Mako noticing that the purple haired opponent tried to speak with Izuku only to have Ojiro cover his mouth before he could reply. Mako stood up, "I'm gonna go wish Izuku luck, be right back." he said to Melissa who nodded in understanding.

"Tell him I hope he wins!" she said cheerfully, he nodded as he floated over the seats and walked down the halls to where the prep rooms were.

He arrived a few minutes later, knocking on the door before opening it and entering to see Ojiro and Izuku sitting down, the latter's face lighting up at the sight of him, "Mako!" he exclaimed with a smile that his friend gave him back before rushing over, the two shared a one-armed hug…..before Mako smacked him in the back of the head, "Ow! What was that for!?" Izuku exclaimed.

"Blowing yourself up with landmines for one!" Mako exclaimed back with a grin before patting him on the back, "but seriously, congrats on getting into the finals man!" he congratulated before looking up at Ojiro and wincing, "Uh…sorry."

The tailed teen offered a smile and shook his head, "Don't be, I stand by my choice. I was just telling Midoriya how I think Shinso's quirk works." he explained.

Mako's head tilted in curiosity as Izuku turned to him, "Ojiro thinks that it's some sort of mind control that activates when you talk to him." he simplified.

Mako blinked in surprise, "Holy shit that's his quirk?! That's super useful! I mean unless you know, then you just don't say anything to him." he added with a shrug.

Midoriya nodded, "Right, that's the plan."

Ten Minutes Later

"DAMNIT IZUKU YOU HAD ONE JOB!" Mako yelled as he facepalmed back into his seat, on the arena, Izuku had a blank stare on his face as he was ordered to turn around towards the way he came and was walking out of the ring. The res of the class went to a full panic.

"Deku No! Other way! Other way!" Uraraka exclaimed as she swiped her hands off to the side.

"Midoriya no! Turn around!" Mina shouted.

Ojiro facepalmed into his seat, "This is my fault. I should have been more clear." he said, Mako setting a hand on his shoulder and patting it.

"No, you did everything you could Ojiro, it just looks like Izuku can't keep his damn mouth-" he began before a blast of air pressure shot out from his friend on the field, "Shit!" he exclaimed in surprise as the air blasted over them, Melissa's hair blew back behind her and her glasses nearly flew off. Mako leaned forward in his seat an looked around the arena, "What the hell was that?" he asked. He noticed that Izuku seemed to be knocked out of his brainwashing as he was panting just before the edge of the arena, the crowd seemed to realize this as well and erupted in cheers.

Izuku turned to Shinso with determination before he charged at the other student, pushing him towards the other end of the arena, "GO GO GO GO!" Mako and the others chanted , Shinso briefly shifted their position so he was about to push Izuku out of bounds before Midoriya grabbed Shino by the arm and threw him up over his shoulder, "Hell yeah!" Mako cheered with a clap of his hands as Izuku won the match!

It was at that moment, his earpiece went off, stopping mid cheer the teen held a finger up to his ear, "Cecil?" he asked, not hiding the disappointment in his voice.

"Hey kid, I got a time sensitive mission for you." he said.

Mako looked over to Melissa who was busy cheering, when she glanced over she saw the pensive look on his face, disappointment flashed cover her expression before giving him a soft smile and a nod of encouragement. "Where do you need me?" he asked, mouthing his girlfriend a 'Sorry' before walking down the isle of seats and making his way to the exit of the section. Once inside, he lifted up off the ground and flew through the halls of the stadium, taking off his pants and shirt as he flew.

'It's actually really close to you, Eastern dock of Megami ward, there's been something draining power from the whole power grid of Japan. We narrowed down the source, my agents are evacuating the area to be safe.' Cecil informed him as Mako pulled on his mask and gloves, stopping by the locker room where Izuku was in before and opening the door to toss his clothes inside before taking off through the rear exit of the stadium, taking off through the sky and flying up and tilting back until he was upside down.

"This sounds like a bomb or something Cecil." he stated unsurely as he rotated himself so he was right side up with his arms outstretched.

He heard him sigh on the other side of the call, 'I hope it's not but truthfully we don't know what it is, we don't want to cut off power to it because we don't know what it'll do. Get there, defuse the situation, and turn off the power safely.' Cecil told him.

Invincible blew out a breath as Cecil hung up, he wasn't exactly a negotiator, but then again if a bomb blew up in anyone's face he was probably one of the best people to send in to take care of it. Cutting through the sky, he arrived at the location that Cecil had directed him to within a half hour. Well I'm no scientist, but this one warehouse with a shitton of electric cables running out of it seems to be a safe a bet as any. Mako thought as he flew down towards the wall and burst though the metal with no problem, "Alright everyone single file! I'll handle you one…at….a….time?" he said with confidence that quickly drifted off into confusion upon the sight before him.

The Muller Twins sat in front of a TV while behind them in the center of the warehouse was a huge machine with dozens of….what seemed like an identical man strapped in side by side with each of them wearing some sort of helmet, "Invincible!?" one of them barked out who was at the base of the tower with a similar helmet on his head.

Mako shook his surprise aside and grinned, "Well what do you know? I have people going 'Invincible?!' now! That's a step up in the superhero community." he joked as the Muller Twins stood up and readied to fight. "And you two again! Man it's been forever, how was prison?" he asked as he raised his fists.

Levy turned to the Mullers in a panic, "Stop him! He cannot interfere!" he told them.

One with the lab coat cracked his knuckles, "Don't worry Angstrom, last time we faced off? He had to call in the cavalry."

Invincible smirked, "You mean the army of robots that were big as trash cans? Yeah, ok let's call them that." he said mockingly as both the twins charged at him. Invincible dashed forward, raising his arm up to block a punch aimed down at him and uppercutting the one twin with the coat into the air. Turning to the other he wasn't fast enough to block the blow to his chest that knocked him back through the air, but he shot back with both his feet landing in the other twin's gut, making him double over for Invincible to knee him in the chin hard enough to send him into the air and into his brother, the two crashing down in a heap.

Invincible floated over as he crossed his arms, "Also, I've had a lot of practice in the time we've been apart." he said confidently as the two rose up from the ground. Before they had much of a chance to recover, Invincible flew into them from the side, ramming one of the twins into the other to stun them before grabbing them both by the sides of their heads and slamming them together and lifting them up into the air, spinning around for momentum he launched the two through the roof of the warehouse!

Invincible touched down on the ground and dusted his hands off, "Alright that wasn't too bad. Alright now to just turn off the machine." he said before turning to Levy who was sweating from his concentration of keeping the portals open for so long. "Hey! You! Turn this off!" Invincible told him.

Levy balked at the teen, "What?! No! Do you know how much time and energy I've put into this?! I can't just turn this machine off! It's downloading the consciousnesses from thousands of different versions of me into myself!" he explained frantically.

Mako blinked underneath his mask, "I…..ok wow that's a lot to unpack right there, but look your draining power from all across Japan! I mean what if you cut off power from a hospital? Or ALL the hospitals in the country?" he asked rhetorically.

The man in the chair shook his head beneath the helmet, "It won't! I had dozens of scientists in other dimensions run the numbers for what's needed for this." he assured.

Invincible shook his head, "Look I can't take that chance man I'm sorry but I HAVE to shut this down. If it's safe then maybe you can start it back up again or something?" he offered as he rubbed the back of his head. This guy didn't seem to be bad guy, but he also knew he couldn't just leave a machine on that was draining so much power.

Levy grimaced, "I'm sorry Invincible, but I can't let you interfere. And really did you think those two did all this work alone?" he asked as he raised a hand,.

Mako tilted his head, "What the hell does….that…..mean…" he trailed off as a green portal opened in front of him, stepping out of it was easily a dozen different versions of the Muller Twins. "Oh Jeeze." he said as the other version of Muller looked around in puzzlement

"Does he recognize us?" one of them asked their twin, the two wearing matching uniforms with large 'M's on the front. His twin shrugged, "I don't know if he even exists in our universe.' he said as he pushed aside by a pair that were wearing more traditional clothing with overalls and work shirts.

"Then make way! This asshole was killed a few months ago in our world and we didn't get to watch!" they said.

Invincible backed up, "Ooooh this doesn't sound good."

One with a robotic hand used it to crack his knuckles, "It won't be, we promise." he threatened.

"Just keep him busy until the machine finishes!" Levy ordered as the group of Mullers closed in on the teen who raised his fists ready to fight. One of them stepped forth and Invincible immediately uppercutted them back, another two charged forth with the hero landing a right hook on one while the other landed a body blow to the hero, making him double over.

Ngh, distance! I need- he thought as he took off rom the ground, only to have his leg grabbed before he was slammed down onto the ground by one while another's robotic hand punched his head down into the dirt, shattering one of his lenses. Invincible growled in anger as he reached back to the metal arm with his opposite arm and pulled it over his shoulder while throwing his elbow back into the Muller, knocking the wind out of him and turning around so he could double kick him in the face, sending him into his twin.

"Save some for us!" one said as they closed in on the teen, one of them kicking him off the ground and into his twin who clocked the teen across the face. Invincible stumbled back into another who wrapped his arms and lifted the teen up, "Here! Get him!" he shouted to the other Mullers.

Invincible through quickly and threw his head back into his captor's face, shattering his nose and making blood pool out as he grasped for it, Invincible grasped him by his overalls and swung the man around like a bat and knocked him into his counterparts! "Stop this! I don't want to but I will stop holding back if you force me!" Invincible threatened with growing anger in his voice.

One of the Mullers chuckled, "Oh yeah!? Pile on him!" he shouted, Mako being rushed from all sides, the teenage hero was assaulted from every angle, a kick to his back, a punch to his ribs, a strike to his face that made him bleed, he had never been in a fight like this, one where his enemies may not have been as powerful as him but were able to do damage and outnumbered him.

Angstrom Levy watched this sight with horror in his eyes, "Wait! No! Stop! Don't kill him!" he called out.

One of the Mullers was knocked back by Invincible throwing a punch, but was thrown back to the ground where he was pinned and attacked, raising his hands up to try block attacks to his head, "I SAID STOP!" Levy shouted as the knocked back Mullet looked at him.

"You're kidding right?" he asked.

Levy felt his stomach drop, he wanted his knowledge of the multiverse since he first discovered his powers but was it worth this? The death of some kid? The answer was plain on his face, "No! I will not have my greatest achievement tarnished by this child's death!" he raised his hands to the helmet, "Stop or I'll stop you myself!" he threatened.

Some of the Mullers stopped while others still continued to attack Invincible, "No! Stop! You can't cancel the process now! There's no telling what will happen!" one of them said as Invincible kicked one of them off, only to have another grab him from around his neck and begin to choke him!

Levy narrowed his eyes and frowned, "No."

KABOOOM!

A gigantic explosion ruptured the area of the docks, blasting water out to sea and up into the air while containers, ships, and pieces of the dock were blown away! In the epicenter of the explosion, the charred remains of the Mullers from alternative dimensions were scored in place, their blue skin charred back. It was dead silent, until Invincible stood up coughing, one of the Muller's dead and charred bodies falling apart from him pushing it aside, "GUH! Oh crap *COUGH! GOUCH!* That sucked." he coughed out, his eyes watery and closed from the ashes in his eyes.

"What happened? Did…did everyone just go home?" he asked as he lifted his hands to his face, his gloves torn apart from the fight and resulting blast. Wiping the ashes from his eyes, he blinked as his vision adjusted, to the dead and hollow corpse of the Muller that was still standing in front of him, "AHHHHHHH!" Mako yelled in fear as he stumbled back, tripping over another ash corpse, "Oh my god! Oh god!" he cried out in horror as he looked around, "I….I didn't….did I do this?" he asked himself before shaking his head, "No, no I was I down and that guy…..he….he told them to stop fighting but when they didn't…" he recalled, guilt filling his gut.

Oh god that guy….that poor guy just wanted to enhance his power and…..he died to save me… he thought as his head hung low.

A sudden beeping in his ear made his head lift up, tapping the device he answered, "Cecil?"

'Mako! Jesus what the hell happened!?' Cecil exclaimed.

"I-it's….It's a lot Cecil, is anyone hurt?" he asked with concern, with how large the explosion was, he didn't know if any innocents were caught up in the blast.

'No, the explosion was contained to the docks, what happened?' Ceil asked firmly.

Mako took a deep breath before answering, "The Muller Twins, they….they were doing some sort of experiment for someone, they were using the power as part of some big machine they were using to…..look, Cecil I'm kind of sitting in a pit where there's like two dozen dead Muller Twins and I just-I can't right now I-" he said shakily.

'Ok, ok, ok kid it's…..ok, look I'll send a portal to pick you up, You can debrief with me in person.' he said just before a shimmering portal opened up for Mako.

The teen stood up and walked through the portal, leaving he scene.

A few moments passed before the two Muller Twins of this dimension walked over the crest of the crater, "Wow…kind of glad Invincible knocked us out of here now." one of them said as they climbed down through the wreckage. Reaching the epicenter, one of them sighed at the sight of their interdimensional counterparts' remains, "It's such a shame, imagine what we could have accomplished if we collaborated."

The other twin looked at him, "You say that, but then we'd be at each other's throats all wondering who is the clone of who." he pointed out.

"Nnnnggghhh." the two stopped and looked towards the source of the voice, the pair rushed over to a pile of rubble and began to dig, throwing stones, metal components, and other debris from the explosion aside until they uncovered the source of the sound, "We…..we did it." Angstrom Levy groaned out as he sat up from the ground painfully, coughing up some blood as he did so. "The process worked, I can feel the knowledge of a thousand worlds flowing through my brain….every second I realize more and more….we did it!" he said as the Mullers looked at one another with a wince.

"Um….Angstrom…." one of them began as the other looked away from the dimensional traveler.

"What? You…..why can't you look at…" he began to ask before realization doused him like cold water, "What's….what's wrong with…" he began as he ran a hand up his face, it felt normal, he still had his goatee, mouth, lips, nose, eyes, brows and….what….what was with his forehead why did it feel…..what was this texture? This texture that continued onto the top of his head….and down the back of his neck and…..shoulders….

The memories of thousand worlds did indeed flow through his brain….however it appeared that his brain needed to grow to accommodate them all. From his head to his shoulders his skin had the texture of grey matter, "I…..what…" Angstrom said as tears leaked down his face, "What did he do to me?! I'm a monster!" he explained as he leaned forward onto his knees, folding the sides of his head, a sudden cough made him falter, one of the Mullers grabbing him and holding him steady, blood pouring out his mouth and eyes.

"Angstrom you need medical attention! This….whatever happened to your body must have affected your health." one of the twins said as he helped the dimensional traveler onto his feet.

Angstrom shook his head, "This dimensions' medical advancement is a joke compared to others, just….the boy, the one who interfered, who caused this….disfigurement, what do you know about him?" he asked.

The Mullers looked at one another, "You mean Invincible? We didn't see what happened since we were outside when the machine exploded, did he stop it?" he asked.

Recognition flashed over Levy's face, "Yes…yes! I remember it now! I told your doppelgangers to kill him, but he broke free and shut down the machine!" he said before his expression morphed into seething, "I'll kill him for that…..after I'm healed. I have the knowledge of a thousand worlds, he'll be easy to find, easy to kill….or worse." he growled out as he stepped away from the Mullers. "I imagine the authorities will presume you died in the explosion here. I wish I could compensate you more but-"

The other twin shook his head, "No, a clean slate is more than enough compensation. Good luck with your revenge Angstrom." he said, lifting his hand which Levy shook, repeating the process with the other twin before he opened a green portal and stepping through it.

AN: Yes! Made it in time! For those of you who aren't aware, today marks the 19th anniversary of Invincible #1! And what better way to celebrate then with another chapter? Well…ok yeah season 2 news would be cool too. Also if my description of how Angstrom Levy looks doesn't seem bad? Look up what he looks like on google…you back, dear lord right?!

But now then! Onto reviews:

Spartain of Chaos: Yeah I recently read through Guarding the Globe and Invicible Universe and holy shit there are some awesome characters in the series! As for class 1A, yeah, they'll see darker things then in the show.

For'Sleepy: Oh Yeah Battle Beast is coming.

D3lph0xL0v3r: Honestly just some nobody whose part of the PLF, and they brought it to their leaders because 'Hey look at this, this will probably help our cause huh?'

abarrow899: Those are going to be…..intense for Mako. That's all I'm saying.

Maelstrom Ressurected: Hunch correct!

Super Comrade: My favorite moment is here actually, just the facepalm to Shinso's quirk, I love MHA but seriously Midoriya is it that hard to keep your mouth shut?!

Sarcasm Sage 626: Yeah credit to where it's due, Kirkman has a knack for making some simple looking powers incredibly showcased, I mean there's a whole comic he wrote called Oblivion Song that explores the idea of being able to hop between two dimensions. Yeah in the comics Mark just zips in and out of them between panels but we never see where they go, and I kinda miss that, it's what I like about spider-man having to wear his suit under his clothes or something, adds a sense of realism.
