As days passed, everyone who left had returned and the snow melted. The second turm had started. Harry, Ginny, Tom, Jerry, Neville, and Luna still throught about Flamel and what Fluffy was guarding but focused on classes. Quidditch practeus had resumed.
Speeking of, on the day of Gryffindor's next match which is against Hufflepuff, Madam Hooch had fallen ill. Harry talked to his friends about it in The Great Hall.
"That's what Wood said to me." Harry finished. "I'm worried Quirrell might refree the next match. That'll give him a chase to jinx the balls next to kill me."
"Then don't play." Said Ginny.
"Say you've falen ill." Said Neville.
"Pretend you broke your leg." Said Luna.
"Really brake your leg." Said Tom.
"Harry has to play." Said Jerry. "There isn't a reserve seeker for Gryffindor."
"Jerry's right." Said Harry. "I have to play."
Soon after, Harry got good news from Neville that Professor Snape was refreeing the next match.
Just as the match began to start, Tom and Jerry were in another of their chases. Just outside the pitch. By then, the match had started.
So far, Gryffindor managed to get more points than Hufflepuff did. Gryffindor had scored about 130 to 50.
"Look at the Gryffindors go." Said a boy from Ravenclaw. "It's like a cat and mouse chase."
"Yes. It's a cat and mouse act going on with Gryffindor." Said another boy.
"Looks like Gryffindor's got the cat and mouse,"
"JORDON!" McGonagall shouted.
Once again, Tom had chased Jerry into the pitch. Until he pulled out his mallet and began to attack Jerry who kept dodging.
"Uh oh." Said the Hufflepuff seeker, Cedric Diggory. "Looks like we're gonna be in for a real cat and mouse act now."
"Alicia has scored another 10 points. She pulled off the cat and,"
"Jordon I'm warning you!"
"Our team sure has the cat and mouse thing going on with them." Dean Thomas said to Neville.
"Uh oh." Neville said as he turned to the girls. "I think Tom and Jerry's chases have gotten into everyone else."
"Oh this is bad." Said Ginny. "Tom and Jerry were turning the school upside down but now they're turning the students upside down.
"By the looks of it, Tom and Jerry might have atracted a lot of wacksperts in their chases." Said Luna. "And Jordon's head was full of them already."
Harry still hasn't found the snitch. But by the looks of it, Tom and Jerry were causing more trouble.
"Where's the snitch? I gotta get it so I can end the game before Tom and Jerry might,"
"Jordon don't you,"
"Bloody hell that was,"
"JORDON!"
"Yep. That." Harry sighed.
"Professor." Cedric said as he flew to McGonagall. "The caption wanted me to tell you we're forfitting this match. Gryffindor is on top of us."
"Very well Mr. Digger. I was about to stop the match anyway."
Harry sighed again. He knew that Tom and Jerry had gone too far now.
"They forfitted." Said Ginny. "But why?"
"It's obius isn't it?" Neville asked. "Hufflepuff forfitted because they didn't want to be caught in Tom and Jerry's actions. The Hufflepuff team knew them well enough to do so."
"I think Harry's gonna be furies at them right now." Said Luna.
"Mr. Potter." McGonagall said to him. "You no need to worry. I am not removing you from the team. Gryffindor won and now is in the lead on house points. However, I am disapointed. Your cat and mouse has gone on far enough. All year you have done nothing to keep them in control and yet, the whole school has gone upside down."
By then, Tom and Jerry ran by as Harry grabbed their tails.
"I told you! I told you! You guys need to learn to get along! Now look, Jordon lost his prosition, almost the whole school is in ruins, and now everyone's going crazy! I'm done turning my back on you two! For now on, both of you will attend classes with me! And you two better behave! Understand?!"
Tom and Jerry gave him their sad faces and nodded.
"And Professor. To make sure they don't cause trouble during Quidditch again, can I have premition for them to ride with me on my broom?"
"Premition acsepted Mr. Potter. Do please hope they behave. I hate to deduct points from my own house."
Just as McGonagall walked away, Harry saw Quirrell being dragged into the forbidden forest by Professor Snape.
Acting quick, Harry pulled Tom and Jerry onto his broom and took off high enough for them not to be seen. Until they came to a stop and Quirrell was pinned to a tree.
"You had better not be thinking about getting past Hagrid's Cerberus again are you?!" He demanded.
"Severus. Please."
"You don't want me as your enemy Quirrell!"
"No he doesn't." Harry said smerking before he turned around and left.
At dinner, Harry and Tom and Jerry sat with Luna and Ginny at the Great Hall. Quirrell wasn't anywhere in the Great Hall so they talked while they had the chance.
"We were right." Said Tom. "Quirrell is after what Fluffy is guarding. And Professor Snape is fighting against him."
"So whatever Fluffy's guarding is safe as long as Professor Snape stands up against Quirrell." Said Ginny.
"Good to know then."
The five turned to find Neville hopping in front of them with his legs attatched together.
"You alright Neville?" Jerry asked.
"Malfoy. We met outsdie the library. He was looking for somebody to use the Leg-lock Curse on."
"No need to worry." Said Seamus. "I know just the perfect counter curse for you."
"Great. The last thing needed was to have my pants on fire."
"Hey. I've inproved sense Christmas. I haven't set anything on fire sense then."
"Right." Hermione said as she and Ron walked over. "Enough of that. Shouldn't you be studying for the final exams?"
"We're just taking a brake." Said Harry.
"Don't you get it? You need to keep studying if you want to pass so you can advance to your second year."
"Relaxe Hermione. We've got plenty of time." Said Ginny.
"You know Hermione's got a point." Said Ron. "I've been doing horrible in classes until I met her."
"I remember. Ron never passed any of his classes. He looked like he was gonna blow up."
"And then Hermione walked over to me after potions. I never liked her at first. I was more jeulaos that she had all the answers corret and not me. Until,"
"I offered to help. I helped him by making things symple for him. Well, they weren't symple at first. But I managed to pull him through."
"Yeah. Then it came to me that there's a brillient girl under those books."
"Ron." Hermione said blushing.
"You know it's true. Through you won't believe how Harry and Ginny met."
"How?"
That lead to Harry and Ginny explaining what happened at Kings Cross.
"So I see." Said Hermione.
Just then, once Harry had pulled out a chocolate frog card, he was in for a surprise.
It was Nicholas Flamel.
"Guys." Harry said to them. "We need to head for the library. We'll see you two later."
With that said, the six left The Great Hall. Leaving Ron and Hermione confused.
"What was that all about?" He asked.
Of course, they weren't going to the library at all. Harry took the others to a broom cupboard and ran inside. Harry then made sure Peeves wasn't listening so he can talk to them.
"Can you believe it? Everything about what we needed for Flamel was a chocolate frog card the whole time."
"What does it say?" Ginny asked.
"Nicholas Flamel is the known maker of The Philosophers Stone. The Philosophers Stone is a legendary substents that'll turn any metal it touches into pear gold. It also preduces the Elixir of Life. A potion that is known to make people immortal."
"Sounds a lot better than horcruxes." Said Tom.
"That's because like I said, horcruxes are dark magic." Said Jerry. "This Philosophers Stone isn't anything dark related."
"The only stone existing belongs to Mr. Nicholas Flamel who cerebrated his 665th birthday last year. He now enjoys a quiet life in Devon with his wife Perrenelle who is 658." Harry finished reading.
"So that's what Fluffy is guarding?" Neville asked.
"It's gotta be it." Said Luna.
"No wonder Quirrell's after it. Anyone would want it." Said Tom.
"So what do we do now?" Jerry asked.
"Let's go and see Hagrid." Said Harry.
