~~~Chapter Forty-One~~~

"Nii-san…" Saphir mutters as he lifts his head. Demande looks down at him as Saphir breaths heavily. "Wiseman means to erase even the future! His goal is…"
"Die!" Wiseman shouts as he releases his energy again towards Saphir.
"Wait, Wiseman!" Demande orders.
Saphir lets out a yell. "Saphir!" Usagi and I call out as the girls let out a gasp.
"Nii-san…" Saphir mutters before he falls to the side and hits the ground.
"Saphir!" Demande yells.
A card float towards Wiseman. "Foolish Saphir. Deceived by the sailor senshi and speaking such nonsense. Black Lady and Demande, we will eventually settle our fight with those girls another time." Wiseman disappears.
Black Lady lets out a scoff. "Understood." She disappears.
I see Demande looks back at Saphir as we rush over to him. Mamo-chan is holding him while Usagi and I kneel at his side. "Saphir…"
"I'm sorry, I wasn't about to protect him." Mamo-chan apologizes.
"Petz, I'm sorry…" Saphir mutters softly.
I see his eye widen ever so slightly when he senses my energy in his mind. 'It will be alright. You won't die and your Nii-san won't be either. I'll send you back to Petz where you will remain in a healing sphere until you are fully healed.'
He closes his eyes with a sigh. The bandage falls from his head to show the black crescent moon is gone.
"Saphir!" Usagi and I call out.
"No! You can't die! What about Petz? What are you going to do about Petz?! Saphir!" Usagi cries.
I look up to see Demande walking towards us. Usagi stands up. "Demande!"
Demande picks Saphir up. "Saphir." He looks at Saphir before closing his eyes and his body begins to shake. He opens them with a glare on his face. "Wiseman!"
Demande's eyes widen when Saphir's body disappears. His eyes go back to normal before he turns around and disappears.
~~~3rd POV~~~
Selena closes her eyes as they flash beneath her closed lids.
Back with Petz, she is sitting on her bed, her arms clutching Saphir jacket. She abruptly stands when she senses Sailor Celestia's energy. Her eyes widen when she sees Saphir floating behind her. "Saphir-Sama!" Petz calls out causing Koan, Berthier and Calaveras to rush into her room. "Onee-sama!"
Koan blinks her eyes. "Selena-chan!"
"Oh, is he okay?" Berthier questions.
Selena nods her head. "He will be in a coma for a little bit. He needs time to heal but he is now a normal human just like you are." She floats him over to the bed which she extends. She places him on the bed and a golden healing sphere surrounds him. "When this healing sphere disappears from him, it means that he is healed and it won't be long before he wakes up." Selena smiles before she disappears from view.
Petz falls to her knees. "Onee-sama!" Koan, Berthier and Calaveras call out.
Petz looks up, tears falling down her cheeks. "I was expecting him to die when I let him leave by himself. And yet…"
Calaveras places a hand on her shoulder. "We will take it in turns to keep an eye on him."
Koan and Berthier nod their heads. "Until he awakens." They agree at the same time.
Selena opens her eyes and they are back to normal. She pats Usagi's back as she clings to her arm. "Don't worry. He will be alright. Just like the generals."
Usagi looks up at me with wide eyes. "You mean…"
I nod my head with a smile on my face and watch as one appears on Usagi's. "That's good."
Demande's turn next I think…then getting Chibi-Usa back and defeating Wiseman before he causes more sadness and destruction I think as I narrow my eyes as I gaze up at the Black Crystal.
~~~Present~~~
Usagi and I share a look before we rush through the streets as Mamo-chan's words run through my mind. 'Celestia, Sailor Moon, you girls go back and rest, so you can get a fresh start. I will look into the enemy's situation a little more."
Usagi and I come to a stop and look back at the large growing Black Crystal as Rei's reply goes through my mind. 'Anyway, let's all meet up at Hiwaka Shrine again tomorrow.'
Usagi gazes up at it with worried eyes. "It's grown so big already. If we don't do something about it soon…" Usagi trails off.
I softly nod my head. "We are running out of time."
I hear footsteps. "Usagi! Selena!"
The pair of us looks to see Naru. "Naru-chan!" We both call out.
"Usagi, Selena, has something happened?" She questions.
Usagi looks at her with wide eyes. "What?"
"You've been acting strange lately." Naru looks up at the Black Crystal. "Does it have something to do with that eerie phenomenon?" Usagi looks back at her and Naru looks back. "I knew it. You know what that thing is, don't you? Usagi, if there's anything I can do to help, just let me know, okay?"
"Naru-chan…" Usagi looks down before looking back up. "Oh, come on! How would I know anything about that?" Usagi tries to deny.
I let out a sigh. "Usagi, Naru-chan already knows we are Sailor Celestia and Sailor Moon. You don't need to lie to her."
"Huh? Since when?!" Usagi exclaims surprised.
"Since Nephrite nearly died back then. So, a while." I reply with a chuckle.
"Oh!" Usagi blinks her eyes. "Then, dark energy trying to destroy the city so the future won't exist."
"Naru-chan, you need to stay with Nephrite and the others inside their house. Don't leave it for a while okay." I order softly.
Naru nods her head. "I promise."
We share a smile before Usagi and I turn around and we rush off to where we were first heading.
~~~3rd POV~~~
Naru gazes at Usagi's and Selena's backs as they run further away from her. Her eyes shimmer with worry. She places her hand together and gazes up at the sky. "God, if you're there, please listen to what I have to say. Please…Please protect Selena, Usagi and their friends."
Usagi and Selena continue to their destination. Usagi looks in front of her with narrowed eyes. We'll protect the Earth, no matter what, for your sake too.
~~~With Prince Demande~~~
Prince Demande gazes up at the Evil Black Crystal reactor that continues to release energy.
Wiseman floats down and appears a distance behind him. "The time has come."
Prince Demande turns to looks at him with a small glare on his face. "Wiseman, how dare you appear before me like nothing has happened?" He clenches his fist. "Why did you ignore my orders and kill Saphir?!"
"We have worked hard to alter the history of the Earth." Wiseman lifts his crystal ball. "All who betray that ideal must be eliminated."
Purple energy surrounds Prince Demande's body, causing his hair to float. "You have no authority to decide that."
Wiseman has his crystal ball float toward Prince Demande. "Behold. This great Evil Black Crystal." The image of the crystal on Earth is shown. "Black Lady's power is approaching its culmination and now, it is time for our long-time desire to take our revenge on the Earth."
The energy disappears back inside Prince Demande's body. "Our desire…" He repeats. He narrows his eyes. "Wiseman, I will not be fooled by such talk. Answer me! Why did you ignore my orders and kill Saphir?!"
"Prince, the death of your younger brother, Saphir, is a trifling thing before the greater good," Wiseman replies as he floats down slightly.
Prince Demande clenches his fist. "Is that your true nature?!"
"Prince, have you forgotten? The reason why we of the Black Moon Clan of the Dark Moon came to this dark, cold Nemesis?" Wiseman's face flashes beneath his hood to show a skull before it disappears. "Your long-time dream to take revenge against the Earth is coming to fruition. Will you obsess over a small sacrifice and let this opportunity slip by?"
"It is true that taking our revenge against the Earth and emigrating to it has been our clan's desire." Prince Demande lifts his clenched fist. "Continue with the operation for now." He turns away. "But do not forget, Wiseman. This does not mean that I have forgiven you. When I have my revenge against the Earth, I will conduct a thorough investigation into this matter." He closes his eyes and walks away. "So, be prepared."
"As it pleases you," Wiseman states as he does. "Of course, Prince, that is only if you still have your life then." An image of a skull appears behind him before disappearing as he chuckles.
~~~Selena's POV~~~
We all meet up and gaze up at the Black Crystal up close.
"The evil energy is increasing even more." Ami-chan comments.
"At this rate…" Rei trails off.
"If we don't do something quick…" Mako-chan starts but cuts herself off.
"And I'm worried about Tuxedo Mask," Crescent adds.
"He hasn't come back since he infiltrated it." Yue points out worried.
"At any rate, we have no choice but to go inside this energy." Artemis comments.
"Yes!" Luna agrees.
The four cats jump but bang into an energy barrier. They let out yells before they land back on the ground. We rush forward.
"Luna!" Usagi calls out.
"Artemis!" Minako-chan calls out.
"Crescent! Yue!" I call out.
The three of us kneel next to them.
"Let us handle this!" Rei states.
"Okay, let's transform and charge in!" Mako-chan orders.
Usagi looks away from Luna. "Everyone, let's go! Moon Crystal Power…" Usagi starts but Ami-chan cuts her off. "Wait!"
We all turn to look at her. "What?"
Ami-chan looks at us with a smile on her face. "Thank you for everything. It would have been nice to eat cake at Crown together one more time!" We look at her in silence. "I'm sorry, but I wanted to say that, just in case." She closes her eyes and lets out a soft chuckle.
"Ami-chan…" Usagi trails off.
Rei lets out a chuckle. "What are you talking about? We can just go there to eat together again."
Mako-chan lifts her hand with a sly smile on her face. "Let's not be cheap, how about all-you-can-eat?"
Usagi lifts her arms in the air with a smile on her face. "Count me in!"
Minako-chan looks at Usagi with a sly look on her face. "Usagi-chan, you'll gain weight."
Usagi sweatdrops, lowers her arm and looks at her blankly. "Minako-chan, you meanie."
Ami-chan lets out a giggle.
Mako-chan lifts her clenched fist. "All right! Let's protect the peace and have some cake afterwards!" She places her hand out in front of her.
"For the sake of all our futures." Minako-chan places her hand on top of Mako-chan's.
"For the sake of Chibi-Usa-chan, Selene-chan and Teddy and the people of the future city, Crystal Tokyo." Ami-chan places her hand on next.
Rei places hers on next. "With our six hearts together as one…"
Usagi and I share a look before placing our hands on next. "Let's protect our beloved Earth!" Usagi and I say at the same time.
"Yeah!" We all agree at the same time.
"Everyone, be careful, okay?" Luna and Crescent say worried.
"We're counting on you." Artemis and Yue encourage.
"All right, leave it to us!" Usagi replies determined.
"Moon Crystal Power!" Usagi and I call out at the same time.
"Mercury Star Power!" Ami-chan calls out.
"Mars Star Power!" Rei calls out.
"Jupiter Star Power!" Mako-chan calls out.
"Venus Star Power!" Minako-chan calls out.
"Makeup!" We call out at the same time.
"Let's go!" Usagi and I order.
We rush towards the barrier. We stop and Usagi's eyes widen as energy is sent towards her. I pull Usagi out of the way and it hit a building behind us. Usagi glares at the barrier. "Chibi-Usa, wait for us! We're coming!"
Usagi and I rush forward again.
"Let's go!" The girls shout before rushing after us.
Usagi and I get back to the barrier and share a look. We cross out arms in front of our faces before taking a step forward. Usagi lets out a yell as we are pushed back slightly.
"Sailor Celesta, Sailor Moon, be strong!" Ami-chan encourages.
"Chibi-Usa-chan is bound to be at the centre of this!" Minako-chan points out.
"Black Lady should be there!" Mako-chan adds.
"Sailor Moon, Sailor Celestia, you're the only ones who can save Chibi-Usa-chan!" Rei states.
"We'll find Black Lady…" Usagi starts.
"…restore her to the cute old Chibi-Usa…" I add.
…and get rid of this evil energy!" Usagi and I finish together. We share a look before lifting our hands into the air. "Everyone, please lend us your powers!"
"Mercury Star Power!" Ami-chan calls out as a blue aura surrounds her.
"Mars Star Power!" Rei calls out as a red aura surrounds her.
"Jupiter Star Power!" Mako-chan calls out as a green aura surrounds her.
"Venus Star Power!" Minako-chan calls out as an orange aura surrounds her.
"Moon Crystal Power!" Usagi and I call out as a pink and silver aura surrounds us.
The energy surrounds all of us and a ball is formed. When the ball dissipates, we are inside.
"This is the inside of the Evil Black Crystal?" Minako-chan queries.
"It's like a maze." Rei comments.
Usagi looks in front of us. "Anyway, let's go this way." Usagi takes steps forward.
"Sailor Moon, it'll be dangerous to walk around," Ami-chan warns.
Usagi suddenly lets out a yell as the ground beneath her disappears and she slides down. "Sailor Moon!" We all call out. We rush over but the whole in the ground disappears.
"Sailor Moon!" Rei states worried.
"Where could she have gone?" Minako-chan questions.
Ami-chan presses her earring and her visor appears. "Anyway, let's look for her."
"I can still sense her." I offer with a sigh.
~~~3rd POV~~~
Usagi lands on her feet and looks around confused. "Where am I?"
"Sailor Moon." A male voice says.
Usagi looks to see a figure in the shadows. The shadows move to show Prince Demande standing there.
"Welcome to the inside of my Evil Black Crystal."
Usagi lets out a low gasp. "Demande…"
"I am happy that I got to see you again." He jumps and disappears. He appears in the air upside down causing Usagi to look. He disappears again and appears in front of her. Usagi lets out a gasp and looks at him surprised.
Prince Demande grabs hold of her arms. "Beautiful. Today, I will make both you and one of the Silver Crystal's mine!" his black crescent moon turns into an eye and release energy.
Usagi freezes in place and her eyes slowly go blank.
"Now, Sailor Moon, give Prince Demande your kiss of allegiance." He orders.
"A kiss of allegiance to Prince Demande," Usagi repeats.
"Come, Sailor Moon." He tightens his grip around Usagi's arms. "Give me, Demande, your kiss of allegiance."
He moves closer. Tears appear in Usagi's eye and trail down her cheek. "Nee-chan…"
Prince Demande's eyes widen before he shakes her. "Sailor Moon, quietly give yourself over to me."
Usagi's eyes gain light once more and she is back in control of her own body. Usagi glares up at him. "Demande, even if you make me yours using this method, you won't get my love!"
Prince Demande lets out a scoff. "Love? I will steal your love!" His third eye appears again.
Usagi clenches her eyes shut and lowers her head. "I'm not going to fall for the same trick again!"
"Sailor Moon, look at my eye!" He orders.
"Demande, you're making a mistake!" Usagi looks up. "Love obtained through such trickery isn't true love!"
"There is no true or false with love. Love is power. Sailor Moon, give me your love and allegiance!" Prince Demande orders.
Usagi's eyes go blank again and she falls to her knees. The image of Chibi-Usa appears in her mind followed by the sailor scouts and lastly Selena calling out to her, calling Sailor Moon. Lastly, the image of Naru appears with a smile on her face. Usagi's eyes go back to normal and she looks up and bites the side of her mouth, causing it to bleed.
Prince Demande stops his eye and looks at Usagi surprised. "Impossible! My hypnosis is not working?"
Usagi gets back up. "Foolish Demande. Can't you understand that nothing can be resolved by force?"
"There is no bright future for us until we destroy the people of Earth!" Prince Demande denies.
"Why do you only think of taking? Why don't you consider the possibility of living together?!" Usagi queries.
"You are the ones who denied us that. There is no way you can coexist with us of the Black Moon." Prince Demande comments.
"That's not true." Usagi denies. "Even the Four Ayakashi Sisters are now living happily on Earth."
"But Wiseman…" Prince Demande starts but cuts himself off. His eyes widen before he curls a finger around his chin. "Has Wiseman been deceiving us after all?"
Usagi nods her head. "Saphir was probably trying to tell you that and that's why Wiseman killed him."
Prince Demande lets out a low gasp and his eye widen. "Wiseman is…I can't believe it. But…Those eyes are the eyes of someone telling the truth. Sailor Moon."
Wiseman appears from the floor. "Prince Demande."
He takes a step back and looks at him. "Wiseman."
Wiseman's crystal ball glows purple. "Sailor Moon is an impediment that hinders the realization of our ideal. Dispose of her." His eye flash.
A purple aura surrounds Prince Demande as his eyes narrow. "I do not take orders from you! Stay out of this!"
"I have no use for a fool who lends his ear to this girl," Wiseman states.
"What did you say?" Prince Demande demands.
"Black Lady is mine and the Dark Power is increasing." Energy appears inside Wiseman's crystal ball. "Your usefulness has ended. Die!" He sends the energy towards Prince Demande.
Prince Demande places his arms over his face and releases his own energy, blocking Wiseman's attack from touching him. He lets out a scoff. "So, you have shown your true colours! I am Prince Demande, leader of the Black Moon! Take me down if you can!" He holds out his hand and releases a ball of energy.
Wiseman disappears causing Prince Demande to narrow his eyes. He looks up to see Wiseman. Prince Demande disappears. Wiseman also disappears. The pair meet in the middle.
"Destroy the Earth and send the world into darkness. That is the desire of Death Phantom, the ruler of darkness!" Wiseman comments as their attack meet in the middle.
"Death Phantom?" Usagi repeats.
"Destroy the Earth and send the world into darkness?!" Prince Demande repeats. "I will not let you do that!" Prince Demande releases more energy.
Wiseman suddenly disappears. "Sailor Moon, you shall also die!"
Usagi lets out a gasp as Wiseman send a ball of energy towards her. Usagi's eyes widen and she takes a step back.
A skull flashes beneath Wiseman's cape as he laughs.
Usagi looks down with wide eyes. "Demande!"
Prince Demande has moved in front of her and got the brink of the attack instead. Prince Demande slowly stands up, blood seeping through.
"So, you still have the energy to stand up. You will die, together with Sailor Moon!" Wiseman releases energy from his crystal ball.
Prince Demande looks at him. "Do not underestimate me!" Prince Demande releases a ball of energy once more.
The attacks meet in the middle and Prince Demande's attack pushes Wiseman's attack back. It is sent back to him and it causes him to let out a yell as his hands shatter into pieces. His yell abruptly ends and his empty cape falls to the floor. His crystal ball hovers and floats to the ground and the purple energy from inside it disappears.
Prince Demande legs shake as the blood seeps through even more. He falls to his knees and begins to fall onto his side. Usagi rushes over to him and catches him before he did. "Demande, hang in there!"
"Sailor Moon, it seems that I was mistaken. My wish was to allow my clan to emigrate to the Earth. And to accomplish that, I was willing to risk my life. But somewhere along the way, I fell for Wiseman's deception, and I ended up allowing many to be sacrificed. I had forgotten my heart as a human."
The crystal ball behind them glows with purple energy without the pair of them noticing.
"But you saved me." Usagi points out.
An image of a skull appears in the crystal ball and it begins to float up in the air.
"If you've realized your mistake, from now on you can correct your ways," Usagi adds.
A smile appears on Prince Demande's face. "That's true, but I am no longer… "
"Demande!" Usagi calls out.
The shattered body parts of Wiseman slowly make their way towards the cape.
"Just as the Four Ayakashi Sisters are living happily now…Just as how you tried to save Saphir…We may be able to live together with the people of the Earth if we allow our hearts to communicate with others." Prince Demande comments.
Wiseman's cape slowly begins to hover along with his crystal ball.
Tears fill Usagi's eyes. "And to do that, we need your help."
Prince Demande reaches up to Usagi's face. "Are you crying for me?" He wipes away the tears from one of her eyes but they just flood back. "You are the ones who will build the future. Please take care of the Black Moon Clan of the Dark Moon on Nemesis."
Usagi nods her head. "Okay."
His eyes widen slightly when he senses energy invade his head and the words he is given by Selena. 'Saphir isn't dead. He is in a healing sphere. You will join him there.' He slowly closes his eyes. "Thank goodness." He opens his eyes and looks up at Usagi. "Sailor Moon, I love you." He closes his eyes and his head drops to the side.
"Demande?! Prince Demande?!" Usagi cries out.
Wiseman is now fully formed and appears behind Usagi. Usagi senses a presence and turns to look but Wiseman had already grabbed hold of her throat and he holds her up in the air. "Hand over one of the legendary Silver Crystal's that holds the power to change the world!"
"Wiseman, why?!" Usagi questions weakly.
"I am eternally immortal." He replies.
"Even if I die…The answer is no!" Usagi states without hesitation.
"Hand over one of the Silver Crystal's!" He orders.
"Nee-chan…" Usagi mutters.
A barrier flickers in view around Usagi and sends Wiseman flying backwards. He gets back up and like Prince Demande before, he sees the image of Sailor Celestia and Eternal Queen Serenity appear behind Usagi, a cold glare on their faces.
"Die!" Wiseman releases energy towards Sailor Moon.
"Moon Slash!" A female voice calls out.
Usagi looks to see Selena standing there with Mamoru next to her.
~~~Selena's POV~~~
"Wiseman, get away from my imotou!" I order with a glare on my face.
"Nee-chan! Tuxedo Mask-sama!" Usagi calls out happily.
"We're here, too!" The girls call out.
"Sailor Mars!" Rei calls out.
"Sailor Jupiter!" Mako-chan calls out.
"Sailor Mercury!" Ami-chan calls out.
"Sailor Venus!" Minako-chan calls out.
"We have arrived!" The four of them call out.
Wiseman lets out a chuckle. "Perfect timing. Black Lady's power has now reached its full potential. Now, the Dark Gate, which will turn this world to ashes, will be opened!"
"The Dark Gate?!" Usagi repeats.
"It shall all be transformed into pitch-black darkness!" Wiseman lets out a laugh as he disappears from view.
Mamo-chan breaks the silence. "I have found the centre of the Dark Gate. Let's hurry!"
"Yes!" Usagi and I agree before we rush after him with the girls.
I look back briefly and my eyes flash and the energy surrounds Demande's body and it disappears and appears next to Saphir's, inside a healing sphere.
We rush outside where the energy is the thickest. "This is the centre of the Dark Gate."
Black Lady appears from inside it. "Sailor senshi!"
"Chibi-Usa!" Usagi and I call out.
"Chibi-Usa-chan!" The girls call out.
"I am Black Lady, messenger of Death Phantom, the ruler of the dark world. Soon, the world will fall and everything will turn into the darkness of hatred!" She smirks before she laughs loudly.
