Chapter 5: His First Friend and Staying with his Heartache
"Hey, Izuku?" Hitoshi asked to Izuku who was reading the news. Tenko was playing a videogame and Hitoshi watched him as he drank coffee.
"Yes?" Izuku said as he flipped the page.
"What's your job exactly?"
Izuku hummed "To put it simply; I solve problems."
Hitoshi raised a brow "That... explains nothing."
Tenko smirked "Yeah. He always avoids giving a direct answer. And when I asked Walter he deflected to Gramps and Gramps gives that."
"And you are okay with that?"
"Yup." Tenko paused the game "He provides, he is happy so I don't see the problem."
Hitoshi rolled his eyes. One year has passed since they found him, and Tenko was convinced by his girlfriend, Inuko, to join UA, and Hitoshi is going to Tenko's former school.
"Well, now that this is settled, why don't we go for lunch?" Izuku said as he laid the newspaper and went for his red coat.
Tenko smirked as he paused the game "Let's go to that American food place they opened up! I want some burgers!"
Hitoshi rolled his eyes "Sure, why not. I hope they have pizza."
Izuku grinned "It is decided then! To Backstreet USA we go!"
As they walked down the streets, Izuku not having a driver license, they spotted a gigantic man scaring some of Shinso's classmates. Another one of them, Mina Ashido went to scare off the man and Shinso went to help her.
"Oi, you need something?" Hitoshi asked and the man nodded.
"I am looking for the dark place!" He screamed and Shinso frowned. His quirk didn't work.
Izuku chuckled and tapped his back "I know the place. Follow me Machia."
This Machia turned to Izuku and his eyes widen "Vampire... Man?"
Izuku nodded "That's me."
Machia busted in tears as he lifted Izuku into a hug "Vampire Man! I missed you so much!"
Izuku nodded "So did I. now let's go." He turned to Hitoshi "You and Tenko go to eat, I'll meat you there."
As Izuku walked away with Machia, Hitoshi turned to a confused Tenko "You know who that guy was?"
Tenko shook his head "Nope."
"Izuku sure have weird friends."
"Hey Hitoshi." Hitoshi turned to Mina "Thanks for the help!"
Hitoshi rubbed the back of his head "It was nothing, besides, I did nothing."
As Mina and Hitoshi spoke, Tenko smirked "Well, say bye to your girlfriend, I'm hungry."
*With Izuku and Machia*
"Vampire Man?"
"Yes Machia?"
"Why did you leave Lord?" Izuku hummed.
"Well, in the first part, I never wanted to be by his side. I know you adore him, but I hate him." Izuku explained and Machia nodded.
"Then why are you helping me?"
Izuku smirked "Because I you are my friend, Machia. No matter for who you work, I hold you close to my heart."
Machia grinned at him "So do I Vampire Man!" He frowned "One day... Lord might make us fight." Machia started and Izuku nodded.
"That is for sure."
"I will fight you."
"I know."
"I will kill you if Lord says so."
"You can try. But I won't kill you, no matter who says so."
Machia cried "I love you Vampire Man..."
Izuku smiled sadly "So do I, Machia."
"Until we meet again." Izuku said leaving Machia in front of a shady bar.
*Backstreet USA*
As Tenko and Hitoshi were sat looking what to eat Tenko teased his brother. "So... who was she?"
Hitoshi raised an eyebrow "Who was who?"
Tenko grinned "Y'know, that pink girl. You say that most of your classmates fear you, but she seemed pretty friendly."
Hitoshi rolled his eyes "She's a classmate. We don't even speak. Like at all."
"Neither did I with Inuko and-" Tenko stopped mid-sentence and hid his face on the menu, confusing Hitoshi.
"Ehm... Tenko?"
"She's here."
"Who?"
"She."
Hitoshi rolled his eyes with a groan. "Who is she?"
"Nana Shimura." Tenko whispered and Hitoshi looked behind him to see, Tenko's grandmother talking with a skinny blonde man.
Hitoshi turned to Tenko "What do we do? With who is she?" He whispered.
"I don't know! Ehm... let's leave... quietly... and make sure that Gramps don't-"
"Tenko?" Tenko gulped and glared to her grandmother.
"What?"
Nana smiled at him, but he can tell she is nervous "How are you? Haven't seen you since you were a kid."
"Yeah, you never tried to see me." Tenko said back and Hitoshi started to get uncomfortable by the tension.
Nana rubbed the back of her head "W-Well... it was... complicated. You see, your grandfather-"
"He raised me while you left. Don't you dare to blame him."
"I wasn't-!"
"Young Tenko, I think you are misunderstanding-" The skeleton man started and Tenko glare became more heated to him.
"And who the fuck are you!?"
"Tenko, you're making a scene." Hitoshi said, noticing people were starring.
"I am Toshinori Yagi, nice-"
"You left Gramps for this idiot!?" Tenko demanded to Nana.
"No! We're just friends! Look Tenko, why don't we calm down, and let me explain."
The door opened and Izuku entered with a smile "Tenko! Hitoshi! Sorry I am late I- Nana."
Nana starred with thin lips to Izuku "Hey, Izuku. Been a while."
Izuku nodded "It has." He turned to his grandchildren "Have you ordered anything yet?" They shook his head "Good, we're leaving."
Tenko stood up and Hitoshi slowly followed.
As they left, Nana followed "Izuku, can we talk like grownups?"
Izuku kept walking "You had 15 years to talk."
*Izuku's Apartment*
Izuku locked himself in his room and Tenko was glaring at the TV as he played. Hitoshi looked worried at him. "Want to talk about it?"
Tenko shook his head "No. There is nothing to talk about it." He paused the game "I actually more worried about Gramps." He sighed "I'm taking a nap."
Hitoshi watched Tenko go to his room and Hitoshi sighed and went to Izuku's room. He took the key and opened it.
He saw how Izuku was watching a picture and sat on his side. He saw the picture and it was from Izuku and Nana wedding. "You still love her, don't you?"
Izuku nodded "I do. But... somehow, I hate her."
Hitoshi raised an eyebrow "How so?"
Izuku smiled sadly "I can't explain. I love her. I love the memories of us together. But... I can't forgive her for abandoning Tenko." He smiled at Hitoshi and hugged him "You two, are the most precious thing I have."
Hitoshi hugged Izuku back "I love you two Old Man."
Izuku chuckled "Well, I have to travel for my job for a couple of days, so please, take care of each other."
*Days Later*
As Izuku was away, Inuko was with Tenko and Hitoshi playing Smash Brothers as someone knocked the door. "I'll go." Hitoshi, who lost already, stood up and went to answer. "Yes?"
"HELLO! I AM HERE!"
