Chapter 7: Break every Chain
Degro vs Wendy and Lucy:
After dodging a few chains, "Take this!" Lucy swings her hands down, making Degro sink in the ground.
"Petty trick, a pitfall?!" Degro scoffs, but smirks.
"Now, wendy!" Lucy signals.
"Right!" She attacks, "Sky Dragon's: Tornado!" The attack hits Degro(will in the pitfall), causing smoke smoke.
As the smoke clears, Degro is revealed to be fine, having spinning chains all around him, "Heh, that was close. Good thing I intercepted that at the last second."
"No way!" Wendy exclaims.
"That didn't work?!" Lucy exclaims, "Those chains are tough to get through..."
"Nothing can break through my chains, it's futile to keep trying." Degro stated, receding his chains before eying wendy, "Although, A little girl like you being a dragon slayer? That's a laugh." He chuckles, very amused
"So what if she's small, Wendy's still a proper mage!" Carla(In human form) comes in with a flying kick, which Degro reacts and easily catches her leg.
"Carla!" Wendy exclaims.
"I know not to judge a book by it's cover, cat girl." Degro throws carla aside.
"Even so, it has nothing to do with being small!" Lucy tried doing another pitiful attack, which Degro dodges in alert this time.
"I'm not stupid enough to fall for petty tricks like that again." Degro smirks.
"Umm... can we stop talking "small" already?" Wendy mutters, feeling embarrassed.
"Now it's 3 against 1? The more the merrier." Degro then attacks, "Scattering Chains!" Chains circle around him and he controls them to attack the 3.
The girls dodge in different directions, "Star Dress: Cancer!" Lucy transforms and with her two blades, she fights off the chain and tries cutting it but, "Darn... these things really are hard to cut!"
"We'll just attack the one who summoned it!" Wendy dodges one and decides to attack degro, "Sky Dragon's: Great Wave Wind!" She goes dragon-force as well.
"Spinning Shield!" Degro controls the chains to spin around him in perfect sync, covering him from the attack.
"It's like a tornado of chains protecting him!" Wendy exclaims, surprised.
Receding them, Degro chuckles until carla comes from behind and attacks, "White Moon!"
"Railing Fist!" Surrounding his fist in spinning chains, he counters cala's kick and wins the clash.
"Kya!" Carla's sent flying back.
"You guys are no match for me." Degro taunts.
Lucy comes in to slash him, which the latter jumps over her in time, "Heh! Here's some extra for ya." He creates a chain and impales it in lucy's back before landing.
"Gah...!" Lucy grunts, paralyzed.
"Lucy-san!" Wendy exclaims, shocked.
"I-It's like... my magic is... I'm losing strength...!" Lucy feels and notices, shocked.
"That's right, this particular chain drains a person's magic." Degro reveals, "Even though it impaled you, it doesn't cause any serious damage... it only prevents you from moving as your magic is drained."
"Ugh...!" Lucy struggles to move.
"Leave her alone!" Wendy comes in with wave wind, making Degro jump back.
"That's not all." Degro then pulls the chain out of lucy.
"Gah!" Lucy falls to the ground, panting, "Most of my magic is drained...!"
"Lucy!" Carla exclaims.
"Kuh..." Wendy glares at Degro.
He then states, grinning proudly, "You girls are no match for me."
Gray vs Tyrone:
"Ice Devil's: Laughter!" Large Ice Shards are fired.
"Diamond Devil's: Bullet barrage!" Large Diamond share bullets are fired, countering them.
"Gotcha!" Gray traps tyrone in an ice barrier, "Now this!" He then fires an ice shard in the middle, trapping him and doing damage.
"HA!" Tyrone breaks out of it before retaliating by firing large cubes, which Gray forms an ice wall to block.
Using this chance, Tyrone gets around the wall and attacks, "Diamond Devils: Clatter fist!"
"Gah!" Gray gets struck back, smashing through he wall, but manages to recover before countering with an Ice wave.
Tyrone uses Diamond fists to smash through it as it keeps coming.
"Alright..." Gray then forms his arms in ice, "Ice Devil's: Zeroth destruction fist!" He directly bashes Tyrone.
"Guh!" The latter is send flying back, but recovers, "That one wasn't bad... you're pretty good."
"Same to you." Gray admits, smirks.
"However... your ice attacks will never put me down." Tyrone states, "I've trained with sueong a whole bunch of times and withstood a few of his ice attacks. Compared his... yours is inferior."
"Tch, we'll see about that!" Gray exclaims before puffing his cheeks/jerking head back, "Ice Devil's: Rage!"
"Two can do that!" Tyrone counters, "Diamond Devil's: Rage!"
The range attacks clash, causing an explosion in the area.
Once the smoke clears, Gray prepares his ice attack, so do Tyrone with Diamond.
With two sword formed, "Ice Devil's: Zeroth's long sword!"
"Diamond Devil's: CleavingBlade!"
The two clash in a sword battle, evenly matched before, "An opening!"
"!" Gray then gets slashed across the waist, "Ugh!" He steps back.
"It's over." Tyrone prepares for another slash until.
"Ice pillar!" Gray stomps on the ground and it smashes Tyrone from underneath.
"Kuh!" Tyrone's sent flying but recovers with a land.
"Such persistence." Tyrone scoffs, "Even with my Diamond skin activated..."
"Giving up is never an option in fairy tail..." Gray states, before forming his ice arms, "Now I'm ending this!"
"Took the words right out my mouth." Tyrone forms his diamond fist.
"Ice Devil's: Zereoth Destruction fist!"
"Ice Devil's: Clattering fist!"
The attacks clash, both trying to ram through the other.
"HA!" They exclaims, before the impact causes an explosion, sending both back through a couple walls and smoke arising.
Erza vs Chelliel vs Kyria:
Kyria waves a slash shockwave at the two.
"!" Chelliel dodges it, while Erza covers from it.
"Aw, didn't get her." Kyria glares at chelliel, but isn't bothered.
"A shockwave?!" Erza exclaims in confusion before embarrassingly looking at herself, "W-Wait a minute! Why am I in a swimsuit?!"
"Hmm?" Chelliel's narrows in confusion, "Now you're suddenly embarrassed? You were fighting like that the whole time."
"S-Stop! Don't look... it's embarrassing!" Erza cowards down.
With the other fight, "Erza-san?!" Wendy exclaims.
"She looks weird!" Cara exclaims, confused.
"What's going on...?" Lucy glances in confusion at her expression.
"Erza!" Happy exclaims.
"What's up with her?" Hiouis narrows.
Degro chuckles and knows, "Are you seriously doing "that" Kyria?"
"That's right." Kyria licks her lips before eying Erza, "Now let's continue."
Erza glances in fears at her and exclaims, "P-Please! Help me! Don't kill me!"
"The hell..." Chelliel utters, totally confused.
"Wha-" Mercuphobia doesn't get either.
"Erza-san!" Wendy and Lucy exclaims.
"Ha! Even though it's a little funny, I'm still not a huge fan of that hypnosis." Degro admits, "Petty tricks are so cheap."
"Heheh..." Kyri grins sinisterly down at Erza, "Don't you mean "Please help me, Mrs. Kyria"?"
"P-Please help me... Mrs. Kyria... I beg of you!" Erza grovels on the ground.
"Erza?!" Lucy exclaims in shock.
"I slayed it... your strength." Kyria reveals.
"You cut her strength...?" Chelliel glances.
"That's right, the same would have happened to you if you didn't think to dodge." Kyria grins at chelliel before patting Erza, "It's cute even when the strongest of warriors become like this."
"Ugh..." Erza whines.
"It's a good thing I dodged that shockwave slash." Chelliel thought.
"Curse you... not going to hold your head high?" Kyria steps on erza's head to the floor, "Huh?!"
"Ugh... it hurts... please!" Erza whines.
Kyria grins sinisterly, while Degro only watches with mixed thoughts between chuckling and not chuckling.
"This is embarrassing to watch, I gotta say." Hiouis admits.
Wendy gets angry and heads straight for Kyria, while in dragon-force, "Get away from Erza-san!"
"Oh no ya don't." Degro throws his chain, tying wendy by the leg before flinging her back.
"KYA!" Wendy crashes.
"Wendy!" Carla exclaims.
"He just won't quit!" Lucy glares at him.
Degro pulls his chain back, "What can I say? I don't stop till it's done." He shrugs.
Chelliel attacks Kyria, "That's as far as you go!" She exclaims, "Green God's: Solar beam!"
Kyria jumps away and dodges, "Of course we're not done."
"Even though she's under some kind of hypnosis." Chelliel glances at erza, who's still down on the ground, "I won't attack an unarmed opponent."
"What honor, but I don't care all that much." Kyria then dashes and the two get into another sword fight.
After a few seconds, the two back off, with chelliel panting a bit.
"Heh, a clash of swords isn't going anywhere at the moment, so..." Kyria then kicks her lips, "I'm ending this now." She starts charging an attack, "You better watch out, Degro!"
Having been alert and seeing her position, "Ah great, she's about to tear everything apart in her path." Degro uses spinning shield chains to protect himself.
"What does he mean?" Lucy wonders before seeing Kyria about to attack, "!"
"Think fast!" Chelliel then does, "Plant shield!" She throws magic spores on the ground and out comes a plant wall, "Hiouis, get over here quickly!" She warns.
"Right!" He runs to her.
"What's going on?!" Happy exclaims.
"You better hide too!" Hiouis exclaims, before getting behind the plant wall.
Kyria then unleashes, "Blade Dragon's: Tearing Roar!" She exclaims and slashes everything around her.
"KYA!" Lucy and Carla exclaim, getting slashed.
"Erza-san!" Wendy protects her and takes the slashes.
"AAAH!" Happy takes this as well, but gets blow away.
"Watch out, Caramille!" Mercuphobia jumps in front of her, taking the slashes.
"Lord water god!" She exclaims.
With the slashing attacks done and smoke/cuts everywhere, Kyria licks her lip and comments, "Like I said, there's nothing I can't cut."
Sueong vs Skullion:
The two of them keep going back and forth. Every ash attack flash-frozen while every Ice attack gets turned to ashes.
"Going back and forth like this is a waste of time." Skullion said.
"I couldn't agree more so how about we stop playing around and end this." Sueong powers-up dramatically, freezing the ocean.
"!" Skullion looks around, "The sea is frozen..."
"Ice Dragon's: Scattered Shower!" Ice shards are fired from the frozen sea from every corner at the ash dragon.
"Kuh!" Skullion prepares to counter.
"You turn what you see to ashes, right? Good luck turning the ice shards to ashes from every angle." Sueong smirks.
A wave of ash then forms.
"Hmm?" Sueong widens eyes in alert.
"As long as it has a form... it'll all turn into ash!" Skullion exclaims, "Corpses Dragon's: Ashes!" He changes the ice element and everything starts turning to ashes, even the ocean.
"Now you're resorting tomaking the whole sea alter to ashes just to get to me?" Sueong looks around, kind of surprised, "Such magic...!"
"All of you will disappear and crumble to ashes." Skullion declares.
As the ashes keep spreading,"Tch, this might wipe out the whole city of Elmina at this rate!" He then counters, "Freezing Edge!" He starts turning ashes to ice, both elements elements in an intense struggle, "Same here, any form of magic will get frozen... your ashes are no exception!"
Seeing that even that's not working, "Then it's time I settle this skirmish." He puts his finger-tips together and chants, "Black Ash!"
Suddenly, Sueong's body starts turning to ash itself, which shocks him, "What the hell... I'm turning to ashes?!" The spread them gets worse, "GAAHH!" He turns to ashes completely, without a trace of him.
"Hmph." Skullion floats down and lands, "How foolish."
"It is... for you!"
"!" Skullion turns around, but gets blitzed and slashed across the stomach.
"Ice Dragon King's: Freezing Sword!" Sueong poses and freezes him in an ice prison instantly, "And now for the finish!" He uses Ice diamond fist to smash the frozen skullion against the wall, ice shattering upon impact.
"Hmph." Sueong recedes his ice, "Aside from the back-and-forth fest, that wasn't a mid difficult fight."
Ashes start swarm in from the cue smoke, reforming into Skullion.
"!" Sueong prepares for another round.
"That was too close. A little bit more and I would have been shattered beyond repair." Skullion admits, "I must say, when did you switch out of the "Black ash"? I saw you crumble away..."
"That was a clone you dusted away." Sueong reveals, "I only pulled it off at the right moment before it got worse."
"..." Skullion then chuckles.
"What's so funny?" Sueong narrows.
"You're an unpredictable individual..." Skullion admits, "We'll call it quits for today."
"So now you're retreating?" Sueong narrows, unimpressed, "Even after you claimed to be after the water dragon god?"
"Oh, our objective was Mercuphobia, but he no longer has the powers of a water god dragon." Skullion reveals.
"You did mention something about that earlier before we fought... What do you mean?" Sueong asks.
"The mage called the White wizard stole the powers of Mercuphobia. He's not longer the god dragon we want to feast on." Skullion states."
"The White Wizard?" Sueong wonders, "So you're telling that she stole his powers and that's the reason why his attacks were so weak before?"
"Precisely." Skullion smirks, arms crossed.
"Tch... a new enemy that's gonna be another pain." Sueong scoffs, "Adding to the fact, this "White Wizard" might use a dragon God's power to commit something dangerous..."
Skullion uses his telepathy to communicate with Kyria/mad-moleand learns, "Ah, I see... good work."
"?" Sueong narrows.
"It seems the fire dragon slayer and his group has been dealt with." Skullion reveals, "With only our team standing."
"Is that so? Can't say I'm that surprised." Sueong scoffs, thinking of natsu, "Thought you were better than that, pathetic, guess I was wrong if these lunatics can defeat you without much trouble."
"I know what you're thinking... and you know the white wizard is a dangerous individual if she can steal the powers of a dragon god." Skullion guesses.
"What are you trying to get at?" Sueong asks.
"How about we team up to kill off the white wizard?" Skullion smirks, extending a hand, "Only together, we have the power to accomplish that. The fire dragon slayer's team is too weak to join us as the demonstration of their defeat proves it."
"..." Sueong is only silent.
"How about it? Join us, the Dragon-eaters." Skullion asks once again.
After some thinking, Sueong responds, "Nope, I refuse."
"..." Skullion glares receding his hand.
"I don't trust forming an official alliance with you dragon eaters. It's suspicious and untrustworthy." Sueong said, "But, thanks for revealing that this "White wizard" mage is secretly behind the situation... This goes to show that Mercuphobia isn't worth killing anymore due to his stolen powers." He smirks, "The white wizard will be dealt with in due to time... but in our own way, not you dragon-eaters."
"Hmph, so be it." Skullion states, "However, when there's a dragon around, us, the Diabolos, will be around eat it."
"You dragon eaters are not that much different from us dragon slayers. And when you say "us" that means there are more of you out there, aside from the 3 with you?" Sueong asks, a bit surprised.
"That's right, it's a guild that's only full of our kind." Skullion grins.
"Heh... our guild, the Arckabalos, is something similar, but much more." Sueong reveals.
"Oh?" Skullion's a little bit surprised before chuckling a little, "Very well, this settles it for now. We're most likely going to encounter one another again as we're after the same targets."
"I guess so." Sueong admits.
"But... only then will our see the true power of the diabolos." Skullion smirks with final words before retreating via turning to ash..
"Well... this got a little interesting." Sueong admits, turning his frown to a smirk.
That's that. Now the White Wizard's involvement is revealed. Sueong turns down skullion's offer to join forces. And the battle royal between the 3 parties are almost over.
