Chaoter 8: Captured

Meanwhile, during that time:

After kyria's attack, "This plant shield was barely able to take the full brunt of that attack." Chelliel said, letting it down and sighs.

"Bad shield or not, it worked." Hiouis said before seeing Carla and happy knocked out/bruised up, "Darn... it sucks they got caught by the attack, especially the beautiful white cat." He sighs, only eying carla.

"So everyone else was caught by it except us..." Chelliel looks around and then sees degro's spinning shield, "And him."

"Someone went a little overboard." Degro looks around after receding his chain shied, "But she survived." He spy's Chelliel.

"You should of known I wasn't gonna go easy on them, degro. It's basic stuff." Kyria said.

"Well duuh, That's why I'm not surprised at your battle antics." Degro rolls his eyes, "Especially that hypnosis move of yours... so corny."

"How about I try it on you right now?" Kyria grins dramatically.

"Oh please, I know how that move works so it's useless to put me under that spell." Degro shakes his head.

"T-Then I'll just slice you up!" Kyria exclaims dramatically.

"I'm way stronger than you, kyria, but go ahead and try." Degro taunts.

"Those two are literally forgetting about us, aren't they?" Hiouis sweat-drops.

"Right..." Chelliel nods.

"Anyway, dealing with her is top priority!" Kyria eyes chellial.

"Fine by me." Degro shrugs, "So much for trying to slice me up."

"Here she comes..." Chelliel gets ready again.

Just then, Degro and Kyria hear a telepathy voice inside their heads from Skullion's communication, "Degro, Kyria, we're pulling back."

"Already... well okay, skullion." Degro shrugs.

"No! I wanted to slash up that green slayer girl." Kyria glares at Chelliel.

"We have no more business here." Skullion said, "Mad-mole is already at the ship, with the defeated fire dragon slayer... how did things go on your parts?"

"Oh, Kyria butted in and took out everyone else, except the green mage girl and that white cat." Degro informs.

"I warned you I was gonna do it." Kyria shrugs, not caring.

"Sure, whatever." Degro rolls his eyes, "What about you? You won against that ice dragon slayer?" He asks through telepathy.

"You could say it ended in a draw, a stand-still outcome." Skullion replies.

"Ah, I see. In your case, that ice slayer was able to counter your ashes." Degro understands.

"More importantly. Report back to the ship. We're going after the white wizard." Skullion said before reporting out via telepathy.

"About time." Degro said, "That's out cue, so let's move already." He tells her.

"Tch..." Kyria scoffs and then eyes chelliel, who's confused, "I'll let you off for today, but next time? We're continuing our duel." She licks her lips.

"..." Chellial only glares.

"You guys are retreating now?" Hiouis asks, confused.

"With the water dragon God's powers stolen, We no longer have business here." Degro said.

"Stolen powers?" Chelliel mutters.

"Oh, and I'm still taking my "pet" along for the time being." Kyria picks up the unconscious erza.

"Since Mad-mole dealt with the fire dragon slayer outside... so upsy-daisy." Degro picks up the unconscious wendy on his shoulders.

"What are you going to do with them?" Chelliel asks.

"Nothing that you should be concerned about, especially when it comes to your enemies." Degro replies, "See ya." Him and Kyria walk out of the area.

"So they're gone, huh?" Tyrone appears walking out the wall.

"Oh, Tyrone?" Hiouis turns around.

"Yeah..." Chelliel replies to the question, "But that was out of nowhere."

"That's because they left to track down the White Wizard." Sueong appears, getting their glances.

"Good to see you're alright, sueong." Hiouis said.

"Yeah, and also... who's the white wizard?" Chelliel asks.

"A powerful mage who has the magic to steal powers contained in a dragon god." Sueong explains, "That skull guy told me everything."

"If what he said is true... then that explains why the water God's attack from awhile ago wasn't that strong." Tyrone figures.

"Bingo, that should be it." Hiouis nods, getting it.

"So what do we do with him now that he's in that state?" Chelliel points to the unconscious Mercuphobia.

"..." Sueong thinks and replies, "We'll just leave him be. If he no longer has his powers, than he's not a threat and isn't worth slaying off."

"Hmm... well then he's just a normal human being now so I agree." Chelliel nods.

"Same here." Tyrone nods.

"All right, we're on the same page." Hiouis paw raises, "Oh! And we forgot to mention that the chain guy and the blade lady took the scarlet girl and that little girl."

"As well as Natsu." Chelliel adds.

"Oh really? What about them?" Sueong narrows.

"Ah, just wondering if you wanted to... you know... save them? Since you fought alongside them before?" Hiouis asks, awkwardly.

"Nah, they can get out of that themselves." Sueong declines, shrugging it off.

"Damn, the guy even said it with a straight face." Tyrone mutters, kind of amused.

"All right, if you say so. Least ya got faith in them." Hiouis said.

"Hmph, I guess." Sueong replies before turning the other way, "Let's get outta here and rest somewhere before proceeding on."

"Great idea." Chellial agrees before they leave out, "Though why does it feel like something's off here... about this white mage."

Later on:

Lucy, Happy, and Carla wake up after the blade attack and look around before seeing caramille staring worriedly at the unconscious mercuphobia.

After a little recon of what occurred, "Erza and wendy were gone, when I came to..." Lucy utters.

"I saw them getting taken away." Caramille reveals.

"No way..." Happy mutters.

"What about natsu and gray?!" Carla asks.

"I don't know about the boys." Caramille replies.

"I'm right here." Gray walks up, panting a little.

"Gray!" Lucy exclaims in joy.

"Glad to see you all are okay too." Gray nods before glancing at caramille, "I heard what happened... did you see anything else?"

"Well... that Sueong guy and his team left shortly after the other group." She replies.

"That's good..." Lucy sighs.

"..." Gray thinks back to the last clash he had with tyrone and utters, "Damn it..."

"?" They glance at him.

"When I fought tyrone guy... that last impact sent us both back and I was unconscious afterwards." Gray tightens his fist, "I lost...!"

"Gray..." Happy mutters, sorry for him.

"..." Lucy's silent before saying and encouraging, "Let's not give up now!"

"Yeah!" The cats agree.

"Don't worry, I wouldn't dare do that." Gray agrees too, "Let's go save natsu, erza, and wendy!" They nod in agreement.

"Please go quickly." Caramillie states, getting their glances, "If you guys hadn't come this... this wouldn't have happened to the water god..."

"..." Lucy looks down, sad expression.

"Hold on." Gray chimes in, "You suddenly can't just say this is our fault, even if we didn't come here, it wouldn't have stopped sueong's team and those dragon guys from doing the same... the results would have been worse."

"Gray.." Lucy mutters.

"..." The cats look on.

"Please... just take my boat and get away from here!" Caramille exclaims angrily, tear in eyes.

"Tch... forget it." Gray scoffs, "Let's go, guys." He proceeds.

"Lucy...?" Happy glances.

"We have to go..." Carla said.

"... Right." Lucy gets up and follows them.

Diabolos Ship:

In the deck, The unconscious natsu and wendy are chained tied to a pole by Degro, who only sits and watches the unconscious dragon slayers.

"Hmm, having some captive on our ship makes me think... what are we even going to do with them?" Degro wonders, fingers on chin.

"It's very simple, Degro... we're keeping them on board in case we want to eat their powers." Kyria states, licking lips, "Besides, you know what our reputation is here."

"Yeah, yeah, I got it." Degro shrugs off, "And how about you get rid of her already? She's irrelevant here." He eyes the unconscious erza.

"No way. It's no fun to get rid of now-turned pet, especially this one." Kyria pets her while she sleeps, "Now hand me one of your chains, will ya?"

"Not a chance, use a rope or something if you want to walk her." Degro refuses.

"Damn it, just one?!" Kyria exclaims dramatically.

"One word and it's No!" Degro exclaims too.

"Grrr!" They have a shocking dramatic tension glare.

"Fine, stubborn fool!" Kyria gets the rope anyway and ties it around erza, like a leash.

"That's right, being stubborn is my motto when it comes to you." Degro states, not ashamed in the slightest before heading up deck.

On deck, "What do we do now?" Mad-mole asks.

"We find the white-mage." Skullion replies.

"But how do we do that? She could be anywhere on this continent." Degro asks upon walking up.

"I have hint to where she is." Skullion said.

"A hint?" Mad-mole narrows.

"Perfect, spit it out." Degro said.

"More importantly..." Skullion eyes Kyria coming up, "How long are you going to keep that up?"

"Oh, you mean this?" Kryia grins, looking down on a leashed erza, "I plan to have her as my pet a bit longer."

"Th...thank you..." Erza whines/mutters.

"How new of you." Skullion smirks.

"I literally told you it's irrelevant to have her on here." Degro sighs.

"The pet stays." Kryia grins, tugging on erza, "It's irresistible when strong opponents are made into this."

"Here I thought you were all about fighting strong opponents." Skullion said.

"It's pathetic..." Degro adds.

Kyria kneels down to her pet, "If you stay quiet, I'll keep petting you. Like that?"

"Yes... thank you..." Erza whines happily.

"Good, you're so cute!" Kyria blisses before getting up, "Follow me. I got something to show you."

"Yes." Erza dog crawls.

Seeing them, "How terrible." Mad-mole utters and admits.

"Now I regret ever laughing, even a little, at that cheap hypnosis." Degro admits too.

"It's temporary, that women will get bored of it eventually." Skullion states, "She slices up anything she's tired of." He smirks and knows she will.

"She'd better." Degro scoffs, arms crossed, "Or I'll do it myself."

Under deck, "Natsu! Wendy!" Erza exclaims, seeing the two chained tied around the poll.

"Erza... ugh..." Natsu and wendy stutter, in motion sickness mode.

"I'm sorry... it's my fault, please obey them..." Erza begs.

"Stay strong... what happened..." Natsu stutters.

"Erza-san's strength has been cut off... that's why she's like that..." Wendy stutters/explains.

"Obey them like I am and you'll at least be kept alive!" Erza begs.

"You return erza to... ugh..." Natsu tries fighting it, but to no avail.

"These two have dragon slayer magic. That's why they've been captured." Kyria explains to her "pet"

"Please! Don't kill my precious friends!" Erza begs to her "master"

"Hmm...I captured her thinking she was useful." Kyria then disrespectfully sits on erza's back, "I just I'll consider you my pet and keep you alive for a little longer."

"Thank you... very much..." Erza stutters happily.

"Snap out of it, Erza!" Natsu exclaims.

"Grr..." Wendy glares and only hopes, "I hope the others find us quickly..."

That ends this one and nothing much to say, here. Free to give your overall thoughts on Degro's character so far?

The outcome of their scuffle ends with Team Natsu defeated and in last place while it's a stalemate between Team Sueong and the Dragon Eaters.

Also to note out, Sueong will get a dual element in a future arc as this progresses. I'll think of which element that suits him, and of course, I'm open to suggestions so feel free to P.M. on that subject.
