Here is the next chapter of my story. Please read and review love Sag x
Hannah and Damian Granger liked to consider themselves relatively normal and tolerant of most things. They openly supported gayness and equal rights for people of all colours and orientations. They hated nothing more than people being mean because they could. Nothing much ever really scared them except of course this. They'd always known Hermione was special and different and had prayed to god about it several times. When Minerva McGonagall turned up and explained things to them both she and they were shocked by their relieved reaction as neither side had seen it coming. Since Hermione's magic had "fixed" her hair and teeth those years ago and she'd stopped being constantly bullied by everyone out there for it she'd changed and not in a positive way.
Hannah always liked to tell her daughter that self-love was as important as self-care and that self-care included your physical appearance. She told Hermione that the world was an awfully cruel place where people were judged often based solely on how they looked and that as unfair as it was it was something which would never change. Since Hermione's hair had become normal and her teeth had become straighter she'd grown to consider herself more beautiful then everyone around her constantly stating to everyone that she was. It was a real issue. Hannah told her that self-love should remain within the self. As her hair was now in all honesty actual hair according to her parents who were genuinely relieved as the budget they'd spent on broken brushes had become a bit of a joke at this point. In fact her accidental magic had continuously messed up her hair not that any of them knew that of course. Since no one else could target her anymore for looking ridiculous she got a big head on herself often telling people it was not her fault they weren't as perfect looking as she was. In fact she was downright condescending to many of her peers and the adults around her.
As a child Hannah had always tried to insist her daughter social with children her own age but that had always gone wrong because the children usually ended up teasing her mercilessly for how she looked and then usually ended up breaking a bone or something like that so parents were scared for their children to see Hermione. It was stressful being a parent to someone who thinks they know more than most even if they don't know more than you. On many occasions she was found to have been correcting the teacher on things she said wrong and had to be threatened with an expulsion to get her to stop doing it. In fact when the threats of expulsion came Hermione freaked out and cried so hard that some stones from outside flew into the school breaking some windows. Thankfully the teacher and the principal had assumed it was rowdy teenagers messing around but Hannah and Damian knew better. They knew it was their daughter and they were powerless to stop her. One couldn't spend their whole life going around after their daughter and begging people to not make her emotional. It wouldn't make any sense.
Not only did Hermione believe she was better than everyone out there when she'd been told she was a witch she responded saying of course I am. I've told you before I'm special and have special powers. If I want I can make any book come to me thank goodness. Life is useless without books. When she had said you wouldn't want to be some glory hero searching fool who ran into things without thinking like a headless chicken Minerva scowled deeply. She was essentially describing Gryffindor not that she realised that of course. Minerva then took in her surroundings properly and gasped. These muggles were loaded. Being the top dental firm in their area fourteen years and counting did have its perks. Money truly was of no objective to them. They were more than happy to overpay for Hermione rather desperately actually if it meant that she would learn how to control her magic properly. In fact Minerva had been spooked by how relieved they were about that. How bad was this child?
When they had gone to Diagon Alley Hermione had bought every book including the Harry Potter ones and read them hard. She thought this Harry Potter guy sounded like a glory hogging arse but he did seem to do the job well and was exceptionally popular too with every girl in the store at the time when she got the books so to her it made natural sense for her to find, impress, date and then marry him. It was a task she was assigning herself. The books said he had glasses, a huge red scar on his forehead and messy black hair. The glasses could be updated for a more modern pair and she would find a spell for his hair. No husband of hers was ever going to look unruly. Once she had studied how popular he truly was and why he was so popular made it her mission to do all in her power to get him. She would be anything he needed to and might even be able to bring his below average grades up too. Someone that stupid and reckless was obviously a fool. No one was ever going to tell or convince her that someone smart did things like that.
When she learned how fake these books were boy would she feel stupid although it certainly wouldn't deter her from getting him! She'd need to think carefully about how to make him seem unappealing to all girls but her. Maybe if she made him somehow seem like far too much work everyone would eventually lose interest and fuck off. Since magic or Merlin or whatever it was had granted her such gorgeous looks she intended to use them no matter what to get whatever she needed. She'd even bought etiquette books so she could be up to par for him. Obviously it was archaic and ridiculous but she would do ridiculous if it got her their world's most sought after or eligible bachelor. She was in her own humble opinion the best looking person she knew and only deserved to be with the best people.
Sure from those illustrations he was ugly and didn't care for himself much but that's what she was there for. She would force him to learn self-care and turn him from an ugly duckling to a swan like her own "magic" had done for her. She didn't know how it had done that something Mrs McGonagall had not been able to tell her either. All she could say was that people's accidental magic often did strange things and that with control she'd become better at it. For Hermione everything was about becoming better. She would be better than this Harry Potter guy too. She would insure he was always just below her grades wise though so he didn't bring her down and make her look foolish. The first time it might happen like that but he'd learn whether he liked it or not. She was perfect and he would be with her assistance too. If Harry knew that helping her out those years ago would create this monster naturally he'd never have done it at all.
Boy were they in for a shock when they did eventually meet as he looked nothing like those illustrations and she was nothing like he'd remember being. She had been meek and humble when he knew her choosing to become more groomed as she matured which he had always liked as he didn't like girls who were too obsessed with their appearance. He had wrongly judged Padma assuming her to be like her sister which she wasn't at all. Oh Padma cared very much about she looked she just didn't make it extremely obvious like Parvati always did. It was important to care about how you looked whilst also remaining humble and accepting that there were those days such as period days when you'd look and feel like crap so just to go with it. Thankfully Parvati was fine at that time of the month but Padma who got lots of cramps always appeared more stressed and angry at that time often snapping at people. Luckily it was only five or so days a month.
Harry had oddly enough asked how he could help her out at this time which served to make her cry and shock him. He had proclaimed how very sorry he was to have said the wrong thing and begged her not to cry which only made her cry harder. She had told him he was such a sweetheart and that he already cared so much for her was overwhelming. She informed him that when she is due her cycle sometimes she cries for no reason and that if she does this he should simply hug her. As for when she has it she told him she gets very angry and snappy at this time and that his best bet would be to give her chocolate and leave her alone. He agreed to do so. When she had told her mother about it Pooja too became emotional as it took a real man to ask such questions like this. Harish had done this with her but not in the same way. He'd only asked because she had become all emotional and it had scared him so much he'd accidentally screamed at her asking her to calm the hell down and how he could help her. She Parvati and Padma had all laughed at that. Blaise had also asked Parvati the same thing stating he didn't do weird women's feelings and that she should explain it to him so he doesn't get anything wrong and annoy her later. It hadn't been as romantic as Harry but at least he'd asked.
Harry had been stunned when Padma had kissed his lips gently after he'd asked her that and told him to get used to public displays of affection as she loved them and then he admitted he loved them too. Every time they met up they'd instantly hold hands now out of a habit. When Padma would run out back in her Doberman form named Paddi her own nickname in the family, Harry in his Phoenix Flamingo Starr form would fly with her. Sirius and Padma's parents knew of The Beatles and their popularity and had found his name choice hilarious. When Padma learned about Padfoot she was so happy. Paddi and Padfoot would often run around together when he visited. Tomorrow they were off to school and were meeting up at the station platform. Harry, Padma, Parvati and Blaise would sit together. It was so exciting.
