Bite Me
Chapter 27: Intoxicated
By the time the snow actually started up that night, Sasuke had been thoroughly interrogated. Naruto had enough info to say that Sasuke had cats, but not dogs. Sasuke knew what a yearbook was but didn't recognize what it looked like on the inside—which meant either he'd only ever seen the front, or maybe he'd just never looked inside. Sasuke remembered what tomatoes tasted like, and remembered that he'd liked them—and that he didn't tend to like really sugary stuff. He chalked a lot of his memory up to smell, right now, but Naruto wasn't gonna let it slide that easily—Sasuke could remember the taste of garlic bread, after all.
And the rules for fabric seemed to be there for harder stuff, but like...less? For tile and plastic and all that? Like Naruto's white bottle of shampoo—it still bugged Sasuke, but not nearly as much as his white sweater. Blankets were as bad as clothes, but plastics and stones and stuff weren't. Glass didn't bug Sasuke at all. Weird stuff, but they were getting somewhere. It felt like they were getting somewhere. And now—
Now they were onto the next, uh, experiment.
Sasuke raised an eyebrow.
Naruto ducked his head.
"Okay, okay, I'll go drink more water first. Jeez."
He stood, grabbing his empty cup on the way to the sink.
"You're going to be losing enough fluid without me contributing to it," came Sasuke's voice. "Alcohol is a diuretic."
"Aha!" Naruto said, spinning around to point at him. "Nerd!"
Sasuke laughed at him, leaning back as Dia finally made the jump she'd been planning for the past two minutes. He really seemed—comfortable with her. Unfazed about everything she did. Like he was used to her using him as some sort of cat ladder…
"There," Naruto said, the water splashing all over his hand as he slid back down. Dia hopped off of Sasuke's shoulders onto the table, wandering over to the cup—
"Aw, c'mon…I just got that one!"
She stuck her face in it.
Sasuke laughed at him again.
"Get another one. That's the first time she's drank in a while."
"Spoiled little devil," Naruto said, dutifully hopping back up. "She's gonna be relentless by the end of this."
"She already is," Sasuke said, and Naruto laughed.
"Okay—water. There. I'm gonna pour a drink though...what d'we think—speed over quality?"
Sasuke snorted.
"Depends on how quickly you want me to match your state," Sasuke said. "Eat some dinner, will you?"
Naruto narrowed his eyes.
"Hm. Only if you help me cook."
Sasuke did a real shitty job at hiding his smile.
One messy kitchen later, Naruto was on his back. He was two drinks in, had his head on Sasuke's lap, and his feet kicked up over the armrest. His current project—a half-finished drink, still on the table—was being passed back and forth by Sasuke, as Dia had firmly decided that Naruto's lap was her bed of choice for the night.
Sasuke bit down on a smile. Maybe it had something to do with someone else already laying claim to his lap.
"Okay," Naruto sighed, nestling into him, "tell me about...plants."
"Plants?"
"Yeah," Naruto said, looking up at him, "how d'you take care of a plant?"
Sasuke let his head roll back.
"...Outside or inside?"
"Hmmmmm…." Naruto stretched his legs out, flexing his toes, "start with inside."
"...They die easily," he said, after a moment.
Naruto dissolved into laughter.
"It's true," Sasuke insisted. "An outdoor plant thrives in terrible conditions and yet if you accidentally tilt a pot so an indoor plant gets the slightest change in sunlight, it's dead in two days. I—"
"Well, I dunno, Sasuke," Naruto laughed, "maybe it's 'cause plants are used to having the whole goddamn earth to spread out into, and you've stuffed 'em into a box. Huh?"
Sasuke pulled Naruto's hands to himself.
"Oh, and you're one to talk, are you? Your windowsill is devoted to stuffing plants into boxes."
"'Cause I don't have a backyard! The minute I get one I'm gonna go wild. You just watch. I barely see those plants anymore, anyway."
Sasuke glanced back at the still-covered window.
"Does it bother you?" he asked. "We can open it."
"No!" Naruto said, freeing his hand to wave it vaguely in the air. "Don't you dare. Don't you touch 'em—"
"Why?" Sasuke asked. "Will I accidentally twist the pot ever so slightly and destroy all of your hard work?"
That broke a laugh out of Naruto, and Dia opened her eyes—widening her mouth into a big, sharp-toothed yawn…
"Aw," Naruto said, settling just a bit further up, leaning his head to Sasuke's chest, "she's so cute."
"She's aware," Sasuke informed him. "Are you planning on moving out of here?"
"Huh?"
"To a house with a backyard," Sasuke explained. "Is this place temporary for you?"
"I dunno," Naruto said, shifting to be able to look up at him again. "Maybe, I guess. I...a balcony or something would be nice, though. Being able to go outside without walking to work, or...eating outside, or just...I dunno. Yeah. Backyard or balcony. I guess backyard would be ideal, though."
"Would it?"
"Yeah. Yeah, like one of those classic old houses with—with a fireplace and a chimney and a backyard with a porch or some shit. It'd be nice. Dunno if it's ever gonna happen though."
"Why wouldn't it?"
Naruto's head flopped back onto his lap.
"Shit's expensive," he sighed, and Sasuke's hand found its way into his hair.
"It is," Sasuke agreed.
There was a beat. Sasuke threaded his fingers through Naruto's hair and Naruto's eyes fell closed, relaxing into the touch…
"You gotta stop that," he muttered softly. "S'gonna make me fall asleep."
Sasuke poked Naruto's cheek, and Naruto cracked an eye open.
"Bastard," he said, and Sasuke fought down another smile.
"You call Dia and I a similar set of names," he pointed out. "How are you feeling?"
"I—the shoe fits, Sasuke. I'm good, why?"
"You haven't started falling over yet."
Naruto laughed.
"'Cause I'm lying down. You want me to start trying to walk around? I can fall over if you want."
"Please restrain yourself. Are you drunk?"
"Mm," Naruto said, "a little tipsy. Not like—my world isn't spinning or anything yet. I'm just…"
Naruto reached up a hand towards the ceiling, stretching it out.
"Yeah," he said, dropping it. "Lil' bit. Pass me my drink?"
"Don't spill any on my cat," Sasuke warned, dutifully passing it to him nonetheless. Naruto laughed into the cup, but sat up just a little bit more, careful not to move his lap too much…
"Mm," he said, passing his cup back to Sasuke, "the real problem s'gonna be when I need to pee. Does my drink smell like shit to you?"
Sasuke snorted.
"Warn me before that moment comes, please," he said, and Naruto laughed. "And it smells like alcohol—so, yes."
He put the cup down, and Naruto grabbed at his shirt to pull him back.
"You're such a dick," he said, settling back onto Sasuke's lap. "What else? We know you're good with numbers."
"Decent with them," Sasuke said, "yes."
"We know you're a nerd—"
Sasuke flicked the top of Naruto's head.
"Okay, okay! Here's one—d'you think you've ever been drunk before? D'you know what to expect?"
"I...do," Sasuke said carefully, "but that may be due to my...previous job."
"At the warehouse?"
"At a bar," Sasuke corrected. "I can—there's a part of me that can tell if blood isn't clean, so I tried to avoid it, but that wasn't always...possible."
"Yeah," Naruto said, looking up at him, "yeah, 'course. Especially with how long you probably made yourself wait between them."
Sasuke huffed out a breath and pushed at Naruto's face, but the moron didn't relent.
"Yes," Sasuke finally admitted, "yes, I was stupid, and I should have found my way to you far sooner. Happy?"
Naruto laughed.
"Walkin' on air. Is there—if you think about it, is there anything you can pick out that was like—different? In the way you felt after drinking blood from a drunk person versus like...what you'd expected to feel like?"
Sasuke frowned in thought, going back to those more...unpleasant days. He still wasn't proud of any of it. The people he'd left had been at best confused, and at worst, terrified. He…
"Hey," Naruto said, "hey—Sasuke, you okay? I'm sorry if that—"
"No," Sasuke cut him off, "no, it's...it's alright. They're just...I hated doing it. I hate that I did it. You know that. I know I had to, I know I would have died if I didn't, but—"
"Sasuke," Naruto said seriously. "You stopped yourself every second you could. You did everything you could. The fact that you still feel so shitty about it all doesn't do anything except prove you're a really good person."
Sasuke scoffed, and Naruto sat up.
"I—sorry, Dia, I—damn it," Naruto said, letting her jump off his lap, "c'mere. Stupid. Bring this up again when I'm sober—"
Naruto punched a soft fist against his leg, and Sasuke fought his reluctant smile.
"Hey. It's literally impossible to go through life with nothing you would've done different. You know? It's what means you've changed and—and grown. As a person. It's what means you're in a better place, now. It's good that it bugs you."
"It bothered me then."
"I know," Naruto said, "because you were good. And you're still good. And you'll always be good. Gimmie your hands."
Naruto snatched them out of the air and held them tight.
"You're a good person who got a shit hand in life. I've done shit I'm not proud of, too."
"When you were a child."
"Yeah—so? I knew what I was doing. I knew it was bad. I did it anyway. I didn't care what kinda attention I got, as long as somebody was lookin' at me."
Sasuke breathed in, and something in his chest hurt.
"'Cept when it was about my face, of course. I was a bit of a hypocrite that way. I dunno. Something about pulling shitty pranks made me feel...better. Like I got—got somebody back. For the way I felt. I guess I blamed the world around me. Doesn't excuse it, though—at least you were doing it 'cause you'd die if you didn't—"
"That doesn't make it better."
"I think it kinda d—"
"No," Sasuke said. "No. Life wasn't fair to you, either."
Naruto lifted his head up, scanning Sasuke's eyes.
"So there," he said, and it sounded like a sigh. "We both did shit stuff because of our circumstances. Okay?"
Sasuke...breathed out. He hadn't realized he'd been holding it.
"Alright," he said. "I—sorry. I didn't mean—"
"Nope," Naruto said, "if I have to come to you every time I feel like you're gonna leave me, you've gotta come to me every time you feel like this. Got it?"
Sasuke laughed. He couldn't help it. It was soft and it was surprised, but something in him relaxed as he let it out—
"Alright," he agreed again. "Fine. Fine, we'll do that. Have you been craving any reassurance recently?"
Naruto laughed.
"Nah, I've been okay," he said, his smile softening just a touch. "Easier to catch myself now that I know I was doing it. 'Course, if you wanna, y'know, supplement my info…"
Sasuke leaned in, and Naruto made a small, happy noise as their lips met. The kiss was long and lingering, and Sasuke found himself unable to completely pull away as they broke apart. He kept his eyes closed, letting his nose gently bump against Naruto's, feeling the warmth of the breath against his lips…
"Um," came Naruto's voice, and Sasuke breathed out a hefty sigh as he pulled back.
"I—uh—wait! That didn't mean stop—"
Sasuke snorted, and caught the side of Naruto's face in a soft, makeshift grip.
"Finish your drink," he said, running his hand up through Naruto's hair, "before I run off with you."
Naruto's wet, thoroughly kissed lips widened into a blushing, half-bitten smile.
"...Promise to run off with me if I do?"
Sasuke didn't fight his smile.
"Vampire's honour," he said, and he felt that familiar flush of satisfaction as it made Naruto laugh. He leaned back further as Naruto crawled up him, settling with their chests pressed together as if it was the only possible motion he could have made to reach his drink.
Well. Sasuke certainly wasn't complaining.
He tucked his arm under his head and leaned back against the armrest, making a show of eyeing Naruto up and down as he finished his drink. Actually…
"What?" Naruto asked, blinking down at him as he slid the empty cup away. "You hungry?"
"No," Sasuke said, letting his eyes keep their glow. "Just...checking."
He lowered his gaze.
"I—oh my god, Sasuke!" Naruto dissolved into laughter, and Sasuke had a moment of alarm as he rolled right off the couch—
"You—you dick, stop flirting with me or we're never gonna get anywhere! You—you gotta stop! I can't pee when I have a boner!"
Sasuke coughed his laughter into his hand.
"I'm sorry? You what?"
"I have to pee and I had to this whole time but then I had Dia and now you're being all—"
Naruto gestured wildly at Sasuke, and Sasuke laughed again.
"Get out of here, moron. I'm not responsible if Dia steals your spot."
"You—yes you are!"
An hour later, Naruto was dizzy. Naruto was dizzy and laughing and even more all over Sasuke than he'd been all night—and Sasuke...Sasuke was…
"Just about there, aren't you?" he asked, resting his arm along the back of the couch.
"Not yet I'm not," he grinned, and Sasuke rolled his eyes. The smile was on his face, though—no matter how he tried to hide it.
"Presumptuous," he deadpanned, and Naruto's smile widened.
"I'm not presuming," he said, leaning into Sasuke's space and then bouncing himself right out, "I'm hoping. I'm hopeful."
"You're hopeful? You could have had my clothes off ages ago."
"I—wha—really?"
Sasuke laughed at him.
"You're an idiot," he said. "Really. Are you drunk or aren't you?"
"Oh, I'm drunk. I'm—yup. What was that about your clothes?"
Sasuke snorted and stood, and Naruto immediately scrambled to his feet, too—
"Relax, moron. You need more water."
"Sasuke! I've peed like a hundred times tonight! I—"
"I'm about to drink from you," Sasuke said, unfazed as he glanced back. "And I'm not asking."
"Ooh," Naruto said, leaning over the counter as Sasuke made his way to the sink, "hot damn, yes sir."
Sasuke laughed out his surprise, giving Naruto an incredulous, happy glance back as he ran the tap over Naruto's water cup. Naruto waggled his eyebrows in response, bouncing in place—
"Regret dating me yet?"
Sasuke switched the tap off.
"You ask the impossible," he said, passing him the cup. "Drink."
Naruto...took an extra few seconds to melt. And laugh. And smile and stare at Sasuke, absentmindedly taking the cup from him…
"Moron," he said, leaning over his side of the counter, "drink your water."
"'Kay, okay," Naruto said, tipping it into his mouth as he made his way around the counter. "There."
He pressed his body to Sasuke's.
"All of it," Sasuke demanded, unrelenting. His hand moved to grip Naruto's waistband, though—surreptitiously twisting it around his finger. Naruto didn't know if it was meant to be subtle, but he took it as more of a command than anything else…
He put the empty cup on the counter.
Sasuke's smile widened.
"What's your excuse now," Naruto asked, "vampire?"
He tilted his head, and Sasuke's eyes blinked to red. Naruto grinned as they zeroed in on his neck—letting his head roll back as Sasuke pushed forwards, breathing out as his back hit the counter. Sasuke bit down and Naruto didn't even bother to hide how bad it turned him on—he let his legs part as Sasuke slipped between them, letting out a low, guttural noise as Sasuke's hand squeezed his waist tight…
Sasuke ran his tongue along Naruto's skin, and he pulled back, one hand over his mouth to catch anything that spilled. But Naruto...Naruto just—
Breathed.
"Fuck," he said, laughing out the word as his world spun, "why does that turn me on so much, Jesus Christ—"
Sasuke let out a low, soft laugh and Naruto...held onto the counter to keep himself steady. He was already dizzy without the lust, but the throbbing in his pants definitely wasn't helping. And neither was Sasuke's fucking smile, while he was at it, or the way he still held onto Naruto—one hand still on his waist, slipping onto the skin his t-shirt didn't cover...it would take so little to have those hands on him, but…
"How're you feeling?" he asked, and his voice sounded breathless even to his own ears. "You good?"
"I—" Sasuke waved the hand that wasn't holding onto him. "Sure. Yes. I'm—"
He let out a breath, blinking down at the floor—
"Is it—is it hitting you all at once?" Naruto asked, coming closer—hovering his hands around Sasuke as if ready to catch him—
"...Yes," Sasuke said, looking up at him. "I...oh…"
Sasuke blinked around himself again, and Naruto let out a disbelieving laugh.
"Sasuke! Stay with me, oh my god. Tell me how you're feeling."
"Dizzy," Sasuke said, "drunk. I've—I've felt this before. I've just never been…"
His eyes lowered, and Naruto moved closer.
"Never been—"
"Safe. Felt safe. I don't know. I..."
"Aw, crap," Naruto said, "I didn't bring back shit memories, did I?"
"No," Sasuke said immediately, "well, yes, but no—no, you..."
Sasuke's voice trailed off, staring into Naruto's eyes. Naruto blinked at him, but watched his face settle and soften, until…
Sasuke moved forwards, and Naruto caught him in a kiss. Sasuke's fingertips hovered at his chin and Naruto found his hands doing the same, as if frozen in time by the gentle, tender press of their lips. Sasuke pulled back and took Naruto's breath with him—
"Oh," he said, staring at Naruto, "oh, I'm...really drunk."
Naruto laughed. He couldn't help it. Sasuke snorted too, dissolving into a stumbling, messy laugh, and that only made Naruto laugh harder—
"Stop laughing," Sasuke said, smiling. "Moron. Stop laughing. Come here."
Sasuke wrapped his hand in Naruto's shirt and Naruto stumbled right into his arms. And Naruto found some sort of victory in the way it was Sasuke's laugh breaking the kiss for once, although his own definitely wasn't helping—
"Oh my god," Naruto said, holding them steady, "you're an affectionate drunk."
"No," said Sasuke, hiding his face in the nook of Naruto's neck.
"No?" Naruto laughed, as more of Sasuke's weight fell onto him. Sasuke's smile stretched against his skin and Naruto laughed again in answer, letting himself be pushed back.
"Want a little more?" he asked softly, as Sasuke breathed in deeply again. He didn't look like he was gonna pull back anytime soon, anyway, and Naruto still felt fine—
"Get water," Sasuke mumbled, unmoving.
Naruto laughed and nudged himself free, spinning around to catch Sasuke's amused eye. Sasuke only leaned back, hands resting on the counter behind him in that easy, casual sort of way…
"You are ridiculously good-looking," Naruto said, muttering the words into his water.
Sasuke quirked an eyebrow, but the way his smile widened gave him right away.
"What was that?" he asked, unmoving. Naruto took another three swigs of water and called it a lost cause—slipping the half-full cup back so he could move forwards again. And Sasuke let Naruto come to him, the smug bastard that he was—tilting his head to challenge the motion in Naruto, grabbing him by the hips when he got close enough, jerking him forwards so Naruto bumped right into him—
"Nothin'," Naruto laughed, stumbling over Sasuke's feet, "nothin' at all."
Sasuke squeezed his hips.
"Hm," Sasuke said, his voice soft and low as Naruto's body pressed to his. "How are you feeling?"
"Amazing," Naruto said, grinning. "You?"
"...Intoxicated."
The word was like a breath, and Sasuke kissed him in the same one. It was a deeper kiss—a hotter kiss, and it had Naruto even weaker than he thought he could be. It was all he could to do wrap his arms around Sasuke and hang on—as Sasuke pressed their hips together and pulled Naruto forwards to keep him there, keep him against him—Sasuke's hand was on his ass and Naruto's hand slipped under his shirt and he—
Uh. Something was on his foot.
"Mrow?" said Dia, standing in between them. On them, on both of their feet, with her head butting right against Sasuke's leg—
"Oh my god," Naruto said, laughing right back. Sasuke swooped down to pick her up, tucking his arm underneath the little cockblock—
"Dia," he muttered—although it was muffled by the way she headbutted him right in the mouth. "It's impolite to interrupt."
Naruto laughed, and Sasuke lifted her up to narrow his eyes at her. She bit Sasuke on the nose in answer, and Naruto nearly stumbled on his way by—
"Hang on," Naruto said, laughing his way over to his side closet, "I've got—I have an idea! Lemmie—"
"Don't hurt yourself," called Sasuke's voice, and Naruto laughed, falling further into the back of the closet. His Dia stuff was all back here—way back here, 'cause if that girl was anywhere near as good as breaking into things as she was breaking out of them, this poor closet was never gonna stand a chance. Still—
"Aha!" Naruto said, holding it up in victory. "Catnip!"
Dia hopped out of Sasuke's arms. Naruto laughed, kicked the closet shut behind him, and plopped himself right on the floor.
"You interested in this?" he asked, rolling the ball back and forth between his hands. Dia's tail flicked, once, and then again—more aggressively the second time, swooshing across her body in a large loop—
She lunged.
"Ah! Ah—Dia, you got my haaand, ah," Naruto laughed, toppling right over as she gnawed on his palm. Dia let go only to hop up on his chest, sniffing at the ball he'd left there—
"Oh, what? Now you're interested? Now that you've killed me?" he asked, clutching his hand to himself. "Little demon."
Dia pawed at the ball.
Naruto laughed and glanced up at Sasuke, who was still back against the counter, a soft smile on his face. The ball moved again, from the corner of his eye, and Naruto glanced back to see Dia pawing at it once, and then again, and then a little bit more—
Naruto picked it up.
"Ready?" he asked. Dia wiggled in response.
"Go!"
He threw the ball down the hall, and yelped as Dia used him as her launching point. It dissolved into laughter a second later, though, with the loud yowling scamper Dia let out—
"You have the weirdest cat," he laughed, falling flat on his back. "Hi."
"Hello," said Sasuke's upside-down face, smiling down at him. "I do surround myself with the same sort of company, don't I?"
"Mean," Naruto said, pushing against Sasuke's feet to sit up—
Sasuke laughed and shoved him back down. He pinned his wrists to the floor and leaned over him, something warm and wonderful glittering in his eyes—
His eyes flickered red.
"Um," Naruto said, swallowing.
"Just checking," Sasuke said, his voice low and soft. "You did...offer something more, didn't you?"
"Yeah," Naruto said, his excitement pooling low in his stomach, "yeah, um, you can—can bite me a li...ah…"
Sasuke's teeth moved down his arm. He still held him down tight, and Naruto relaxed back against the floor and surrendered himself to the feeling—Sasuke bit down for the barest moment before his tongue ran over the skin again, moving closer and closer to Naruto's body…
"Hm," he said, his breath right next to Naruto's ear, "that's better."
Naruto breathed in and opened his eyes. Sasuke gave a pointed look down at the bulge in Naruto's pants before his eyes flickered back to their dark, natural state. Naruto let out a breathless laugh and squirmed in blushing embarrassment, knowing that Sasuke—
"C'mon," he muttered, the sheepish smile on his face. "It's not my fault, I've been half-hard like the whole night!"
"Oh," Sasuke said, the smile pulling at his lips, "I'm quite aware."
Naruto let out a loud groan. Sasuke's firm grip was the only thing stopping him from slapping a hand over his eyes, but it showed no signs of relenting—Sasuke only pressed closer, switching both of Naruto's wrists to one hand so he could run a hand down Naruto's chest—
"And it's been torture."
Sasuke's hand slipped under his pants.
And Naruto sucked in a breath, his body seizing up all at once as the pleasure rushed through him. Sasuke let go of his wrists to move all the way around and Naruto took his chance to spring up and kiss him—hard and hot and pushing his hand up Sasuke's chest so he could get that shirt away—
Sasuke let go, laughing as Naruto got it stuck on his ear. The shirt hit the ground and Sasuke's hair stayed rustled and messy as he leaned in again. Naruto laughed against his lips and followed Sasuke's fingertips to his own shirt, pulling it up over his head as Sasuke occupied himself with kisses across Naruto's stomach. His lips were soft and teasing and...warm.
Oh.
Sasuke had just drank.
He eyed the goosebumps across Sasuke's skin, and bit his smiling bottom lip.
Sasuke snatched the hand that reached for him away.
"Not yet, moron," he muttered, ducking his head down. "I'm trying to last longer than five seconds."
Naruto laughed.
"But I like it when you last five seconds," he said, smiling against Sasuke's lips. Sasuke kissed him in answer, but squeezed Naruto's wrist with soft insistence. Naruto begrudgingly obeyed, and kept his hand above that very tempting waistline...but then, all of Sasuke's skin seemed to be this sensitive, and now was as good a time as any to test some things out...
Naruto moved his kisses to just under Sasuke's ear, and he felt the bumps break across his skin all over again. He smiled at the soft shudder in Sasuke's hands—which had stumbled and stopped as Sasuke's breath had hitched—and smiled wider as they pressed him back, pushed him back and pushed him down—
Naruto's back hit the cool, hard tile, and Sasuke pressed a hand to his chest to keep him there.
"You are," he breathed out, "so distracting."
Naruto felt his grin widen.
"...Oops?" he said, and Sasuke narrowed his eyes, breathing heavy. It was a playful, breathless glare, and Naruto wondered if Sasuke had any idea how good that look was on him—
"Lift your hips."
"I—oh," Naruto said, realizing that Sasuke's hands were already on his hem. But then—
"But—hey!" he said, kicking the last of it from his feet. "That's not—I don't even get to touch you?"
Sasuke's smile widened.
"You will," he said, muttering the words to Naruto's lips. It was a move that he knew was intended to tide him by, and it worked way too easily.
"Not fair," he mumbled back, "least take your pants off."
Sasuke breathed into his mouth—pushing forward into the kiss once, and then again, before he pulled back. Naruto sat up as he leaned back, quick to help him and quicker to throw those pants away—
"Does the tile bug you? It's pretty cold—"
"Not enough," Sasuke said, and then his lips were on him again. But Naruto fought back this time—not letting himself be pushed to the floor, not yet, running his hands up Sasuke's thighs, squeezing his hips—he wouldn't go there until Sasuke said he could, but that didn't mean he couldn't come close—
Sasuke pulled him onto his lap. And Naruto made a noise, feeling himself lurch and be pushed until his back hit the cabinet under the counter—Sasuke pressed them closer and then closer, until Naruto clued in that the wait was very much over—Sasuke pressed their cocks together and Naruto wrapped his arms around him and ah—
It was a good thing Sasuke had a tight grip on his legs, because Naruto could barely move. He didn't even have the strength to link them together, but Sasuke had enough for the both of them—he pressed them together so tight and good and Naruto let his head hit the cabinet three times before he managed to feel it—Sasuke's breath sped up and his grip trembled and Naruto felt him reach the edge and push them both over—
"God," Naruto gasped, reeling, "Sas—I'm yours, s'ke, I'm—"
Sasuke's eyes flicked to red, and Naruto was gone. He came with a yelp, a strangled, gasping noise as he held onto Sasuke for dear life—Sasuke body tensed and he lurched forwards and Naruto only saw stars—
"Fuck," he breathed out, feeling his senses slowly coming back to him. The warmth of Sasuke's hand on his shoulder, his thighs underneath him, the stickiness on his stomach, the cabinet jabbing into his back—
Sasuke pulled back, and his hand fell from his mouth—
Bleeding.
"Wh—Sasuke, did you bite your own hand again?! Wha—"
"I wanted to bite you," he said, eyes wide and scared. "I—"
He ripped himself back. Naruto stumbled after him, grabbing his arm before he could—
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, Sasuke—hang on," he said, as Sasuke pulled them both away, "you bite me all the time, what—"
"Not like that!" Sasuke said, and his hand snapped to Naruto's wrist, too. "I wanted to—I felt it, Naruto, I felt myself want to—"
He cut himself off in a pained, guttural sound. Naruto's hand loosened, but Sasuke's only tightened, as if it didn't realize it still held onto Naruto—
"Want to what?"
Sasuke shook his head.
"Sasuke—"
"No," he said, breathing out, "we can't. I can't do this to you, Naruto, let me go, I—"
He cut himself off in something scared and desperate. And Naruto nearly obeyed, nearly let go, nearly stepped back and listened to the same fear in him, but Sasuke—
Sasuke's hand still gripped his wrist.
And it was tight. It was determined. It was holding on with something he hadn't put into words—he was asking Naruto to let go, but Sasuke was holding on, and that—
That was something Naruto understood.
"No," he said, something resolute in his head— "No. You're not leaving."
Sasuke breathed as if he'd run a marathon, but he didn't move.
"You're gonna stay," Naruto said, "and we're gonna talk. Okay?"
"Naruto—" Sasuke said, pained—
"I'm not letting you go. I told you," Naruto said, standing firm, "I told you I'd never let you go."
Sasuke breathed in.
"I'm not. Okay? Sasuke."
Naruto moved forwards, and Sasuke finally let his hand loosen enough for Naruto to hold it.
"Tell me what happened."
A/N: Another cliffhanger! Bit of a dramatic end to a slower, steamier chapter, but all will be explained...eventually! This was another one of those bits I had in my head way back when I started writing the start of this story. Took me awhile to get here, didn't it? We haven't even reached the scene that was the one that convinced me to write it in the first place. Remind me to let you know when we do ;)
See you tomorrow!
