"The mist is beginning to fail," Chiron said at breakfast. He was met with a torrent of questions and panic. "Now now, calm down. I know most of you don't keep up with mortal news, but I'm sure you heard that there was an alien invasion in New York last summer, right after the Battle with Gaea." Everyone groaned, the mist had seemed to be getting weaker but none of them had put the dots together. Now the reason for the mist crumbling was blatantly staring them in the faces.

"Great, anything else we haven't realized? Or is that the only piece of life altering news for now?" Nico drawled from the Apollo table. Percy snickered quietly, his and Will's personalities seemed to be rubbing off on the son of Hades.

"Not that I'm aware of, but because of this battle and the knowledge of the supernatural, mortals are opening their minds to more possibilities. The mist will still partially shield the camps, but I'm told that the mist will most likely fall by the end of the year. We were lucky to last this long before it fell." Chiron's words were met with more groans and mumbles of resentment. The one thing that kept them somewhat safe in the mortal world was going to disappear, and it didn't seem like they could do anything to change it.

Authors Note: Happy Saturday everyone! Sorry this is short but I'll make up for it next week. Enjoy!
