Anthony Howard Stark wanted to kill Steve Grant Rogers in the most excruciating way possible than bring him back to life just to kill him again. He didn't know it but for the first time him and another man a few doors down from him were in an agreement.
They wanted Captain America dead.
Tony stormed into the Avengers briefing room A.k.A the common room to vent his frustrations to the aforementioned Steven Grant Rogers.
"Captain cold this better be good, and I was in the middle of something extremely important"
Stoic expression still firmly in place Rogers just lifted his eyebrow in the way he does to shows his absolute disappointment in you. Tony at this point was immune, It was Wanda however that had a reply. He had never grew to like that one, the bitch.
"One would think Stark that saving the world would be more important than whatever party you're planning."
Tony really really didn't like her.
"Listen here, witchy witch don't assume to know what I got going on. You know what they say it only makes an ass out of you and me but mostly you. Only you actually"
"Tony!"
Okay maybe he wasn't as immune as he first thought. At that moment the resident god of thunder made his usual dramatic entrance. "Brother of arms, this must be quick I have something with upmost importance to see to"
Steve Grant Rogers let out a sigh, this is why they never got anything done.
Harry was currently wondering who the parent was in his and his godfather's relationship, the man was just about jumping out of his skin with excitement and that mostly likely due to a sugar high. Or the man was drunk off his arse. Harry really hoped that wasn't the case. Sirius was currently acting like a kid in a candy store which wasn't that far off from the reality as they were actually in an ice cream parlour. And Sirius had to, just had to try all the exciting muggle flavours.
And aren't they smart Harry? So clever to think of all of them.
Harry wanted to pull his hair out, he never really developed much of a sweet tooth how could he when the Dursley's never allowed him any sweets? His only exception to this was his favourite desert treacle pie, now that he could eat all day.
"Sirius, we need to go now, we need to meet with the lawyers remember?"
They had made the appointment in the muggle world to make it harder for anyone to track what they were up to, there were some of course that still could but it brought him and Sirius some time and it is lessens the amount of pressure on them.
Sirius let out a disappointed sigh and turned to his beloved godson with a pout on his face.
"Do we have too?" He whined, even as they made their way out of the shop to the law office just down the road.
I'm definitely the parent Harry thought to himself.
"Boss, incoming call from the offices of Pearson Spector Litt"
Perfect timing Tony thought to himself, just the excuse he needed to get out of this briefing.
"Thanks girl patch it through to my lab, I will take the call in there" Tony made to get up before Steve grabbed his arm and once again let loose the eyebrow of disappointment.
"Tony you can't just leave, this is important" Tony shook his head and pulled his armpit of the Captain's hold.
"Sorry cap, this is important as well (Tony didn't actually know if this was true or not) and besides I'm retired remember? I'm sure whatever it is it doesn't need the whole team" Tony walked out of the room with that and proceeded to his lab where he answered the call.
"Stark speaking who I'm I speaking to?"
"Mr Stark this Michael Ross speaking. I am a Junior associate at Pearson Spector Litt and your nephew Harry's lawyer" Tony let out a gasp in shock. He was not expecting that.
"Harry? He's fourteen what does he need a lawyer for?" Ross let out a polite cough and replied "Well as you should very well know Mr Stark, your nephew has quite a large inheritance waiting for me on his majority and with both his parents and immediately family deceased aside from yourself it would be quite reckless with his current position not to have one, he was also recently emancipated" Tony nodded forgetting that the lawyer couldn't see him, it made sense with the context they're people who would take advantage with a lawyer it mitigated the damage.
"It is good fortune you called actually; I was just about to make my way to London to see him" With that said, Tony could hear some talking going on in the background and heard Ross reply to someone saying "It could be arranged" It was with that that Tony realised that most likely Harry was with the lawyer now.
"Is Harry with you? I would like to speak to him"
"Ahh yes, he is, we were just finishing up a meeting, I'll put him on now" There was pause and then some rustling as the phone exchanged hands and finally Tony heard someone breath out and say.
"Mr Stark, I am surprised that we managed to get you considering you have been absent for the last fourteen years" Tony found himself to be surprisingly hurt by this statement and rushed to explain himself, he didn't want his nephew to think he had just abandoned him.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know. There was a letter your mother wrote thirteen years ago but I only just got it and once I read it I made plans to come and get you but then I found out that someone I had trusted had purposely kept it from me and that I got it thirteen years too late" Tony said this in just about one breath, he could not take it if his nephew didn't believe him. His baby sister's little boy. Tony was devastated when out of nowhere his parents had decided to give her up.
"Why would someone do that?" Tony let out a laugh devoid of any actual happiness.
"I don't really know; he was like a father to me I guess he just wanted the company to himself. You know he was the one who arranged for my kidnapping in Afghanistan and the one who conceived your grandparents to give your mum up"
"Wow, that's a lot." Harry breathed out in slight disbelief.
"Yeah kiddo it is, if it's okay with you I would still like to come to London and sort things out?" There was a pause and some talking on the other side of the line.
"Actually, I was thinking of going away for a bit a lot has happen to me the last few months, I could easily arrange to stop by you instead" Tony thought for a second, that it would indeed be easier, and as a result the good captain wouldn't be in his arse about leaving.
"Yes, that's good, do you know when you be here by?" Again, some talking going on in the background must be more than the lawyer and his nephew there wherever they were most likely in Ross' office.
"Late afternoon tomorrow, Mr Ross said we could take the company's plane, we will leave early morning"
"That's good, could you put your lawyer back in the phone so we could finish up?"
Harry let out a nervous breath that he had been holding in for the duration of the conversation with his uncle Tony (not that he had actually called the man that). And wasn't that a novelty to say his uncle Tony, his mum's older brother, Harry already likes him a lot more than uncle Vernon.
"You alright Prongslet?" Sirius asks from the seat next to him. Harry just nods.
They had been in the office of his lawyer for the last two hours going over the parts of his inheritance that is being held in the muggle world mainly what he had inherited from his mum and surprisingly quite a bit from the Malfoy side of his family tree. (And wasn't that a treat to find out that he was related to the stuck-up ferret and that they had dealings in the muggle world despite the pureblood dogma)They were also working on his removing his guardianship from the Dursley's, he might already be emancipated but that was in the wizarding world and not quite valid in the muggle one.
Harry thinks this is stupid and really doesn't want to go through months of court appearances and check-ups. Which is where his uncle Tony comes in, as an actual blood relative and not related to him through adoption and marriage like the Dursley's he has a stronger claim and they are hoping that he would take Harry in over the holidays.
Sirius argues that Tony would without argument take him in, he adored his little sister and would have done anything for her. There was also the fact that his mum and dad both lived with his uncle on a semi-permanent basis and he seems to be oblivious to this fact. Harry is not too sure about this part of the plan, why would his parents let him believe they were dead for the last thirteen years?
