Hikari is not the usual run of the mill stiff and traditional Hyuuga. How will the ninja world react to a Hyuuga that uses genjustu, kenjustu, ninjutsu, poison, and sniping techniques with thrown weapons?

7. Chapter Seven: Exam Finals

Naruto: Rebirth of the Hyuuga Clan: Chapter Seven: Exam Finals

Hikari's Lair: Two Hours Until The Finals.

Hikari had spent all night awake creating new Yin-Yang Jutsus with her purity-seeking orbs. She had also realized that night that shadow clones were an extremely simple Yin-Yang release jutsu.

Chakra was a combination of yin and yang, the spiritual and physical energies of the body, and a shadow clone equally divided chakra between them by creating perfect copies including clothing, weapons, seals, and chakra; thus creating something out of nothing and classifying it as a yin-yang release jutsu. She felt really stupid when she realized that but she put that knowledge forward for future ideas.

As of now, she could only channel basic chakra natures through the orbs without any jutsu, elongate them into rods, expand them into discs, perform other basic changes in shape, fly by riding on a disc, and move them individually or all together.

She felt like she was reaching the end of what she could do with basic hand motions right now. What she really needed was to experiment with hand signs for more complex manipulations.

Oh, and she figured out by testing the orbs on a barrier that by channeling Yin-Yang chakra through them that she could nullify the effects of chakra and bypass the barrier as if it never even existed. She theorized that she could also nullify any type of ninjutsu in addition to fuinjutsu barriers.

Unfortunately, she didn't have the time to do that now, the exam finals were beginning in two hours.

As she knew Orochimaru was coming to invade with sand and sound in tow, she started putting on her custom-made and seal-enhanced highly flexible black shinobi battle armor.

It had some special heat-absorbing and exchanging seals to keep the user cool, sound muffling genjutsu seals to keep the user totally silent, camouflage seals that could make the user invisible if activated, interlocking barrier ninjutsu seals that acted like armor plates made from chakra when activated, a thin barrier around her entire body that blocked genjutsu and incoming chakra signal frequencies, housed an additional twenty-five chakra storage seals to use in addition to the ones in her normal clothing, allowed her to create her chakra armor without hand signs, air filters to remove the smell of sweat, and slightly extended the range of the storage seals in her clothes so their internal items didn't come out directly under her armor.

Oh, you could easily get her going for hours on how utterly stupid flak jackets were! The ninjas of the warring states period clearly had the right idea there.

Buying armor for someone at the young age of fourteen was normally inadvisable due to continuously needing to replace it as the person grew, but she didn't have that problem because she had her armor specifically made to be modular so it was easy to alter and expand by adding new material and seals.

Thirty Minutes Later: The Finals Stadium

Hikari jumped down from the roofs she was traveling by and silently landed in front of the stadium under a transformation jutsu to hide her battle armor.

Hikari "Hikari Hyuuga, Jonin. Ninja registration number 012632. Here for the finals."

The two guards parted ways to let her in. Five minutes later she found Naruto, Sasuke, and Gaara waiting in the box for those acting in the finals and were in the previous preliminary rounds of the exam.

Hikari went down and sat next to Naruto, Sasuke, and Gaara "Hey guys! How are you guys doing!"

Sasuke looked at her "Oh hi, Hikari."

Garra looked genuinely happy "Hello Hikari, you were right. I and Naruto do have a lot in common. He can understand my pain and I think we have bonded over it."

Naruto looked over to Gaara then back to Hikari. "Yeah...It was nice to find someone who understood the pain I went through…"

Hikari looked around "Wait, where's Kakas- Oh...wait, never mind…"

Sasuke nodded "Yeah, he appears to be late as usual..."

Hikari sighed. "So what are the match orders? They are apparently kept really quiet to be an exciting surprise for the crowds."

Sasuke handed her a piece of paper with the match orders on it.

Yoroi vs Hinata Hyuuga

Rock Lee vs Shino Aburame

Tenten vs Dosu

Shikamaru Nara vs Temari (Wildcard)

Naruto Uzumaki vs Sasuke Uchiha

Hikari "Oh, so you two are going last then... Wait a minute, who was I supposed to fight?"

Sasuke "You were supposed to fight Shino Aburame, but thanks to your promotion the fights were reassigned. Thanks for that by the way, I've been itching to fight Naruto."

Hikari: "Oh your sister Temari is back to fight Skikumaru, eh Gaara? I guess that's as good a way as any to deal with my absence."

Gaara "Yes, I made a deal with the Hokage. You see that unlike in the leaf village which elects their Hokage democratically, the Kazekage is chosen by inheritance. As I am the eldest son of the Kazekage I am thus the next in line for the hat of Kazekage. The deal was that once my father is dead, I will become the Kazekage if I agree to honor the alliance with the leaf village and to let them know of any major military extrusions we undertake. As a gesture of goodwill, the Hokage has decided my sister will be the wildcard fighter."

Hikari just looked at him. "You're ok with your father being killed and essentially being put in place by his killers?"

Gaara "My father is only that in name and blood. He sent my best friend and other ninjas to kill me, he ordered my best friend to say hateful words during the act."

Hikari looked sadly at him before over to Kankurō and Temari "And what about them?"

Gaara "I talked to them and it seems I was wrong. While they did fear me, they genuinely care about me. I've managed to convince them to not follow the Kazekage's orders."

Hikari "So how do you feel about becoming the Kazekage?"

Gaara "Me and Naruto have spoken about that. I want to be like him, I want to protect everyone in the village and show them I'm not the Ichibi, I only cage it."

Hikari smiled. "Good for you Gaara, you've grown a lot."

One Hour And Thirty Minutes Later

The Third Hokage walked up onto the field.

Hurizen Sarutobi "I would like to welcome you all to the finals of the annual chunin exams! I am happy to have had them occur in the leaf village this year! Without any further ado, let the finals begin!"

He then jumped back to the Kage box and Hayate Gekkō came out onto the field in a body flicker.

Hayate Gekkō "Would Hinata Hyuuga and Yoroi please come down to the field!"

Both Hikari and Yoroi came down to the field in a body flicker. To those who recognized her, Hinata Hyuuga looked different, far more confident.

The Hyuuga Clan Box

Hanabi just looked at her father "What happened to my sister? She's never looked this confident before..."

Hiashi smiled. "Hikari happened."

Hanabi smiled. "Oh now that makes sense, I guess we just don't have the same class schedule with her. I've also been too busy and distracted this month to notice anything different at meals."

Hiashi nodded "Indeed, you and your cousin Neji see her on Mondays, Wednesdays, And Fridays. Your sister sees her on Tuesdays and Thursdays."

Hanabi "To think you actually tried to stop her progress at one point..."

Hiashi shook his head. "That was one of the biggest mistakes of my life. Hikari would have been a jonin years ago if not for my rash and shortsighted actions."

Hanabi nodded "Well it all worked out in the end. She just recently became a jonin when she helped to defeat the Ichibi and single-handedly changed the Hyuuga Clan for the better!"

Hiashi "I wouldn't say single-handedly, my daughter. Not to mention her betterment of the clan wasn't really a factor in her premonition to jonin. That being said, she made an alliance with the old branch family and gave them a seal that blocked the old main family's ability to use the forbidden jutsu of the caged bird seal."

Hanabi "I know that, but it was Hikari who set it all in motion!"

Hiashi "It sounds like you admire her a lot."

Hanabi nodded her head enthusiastically. "I do!"

The Arena

Hinata immediately started weaving some hand signs "Illusion Art: Genjutsu Binding!"

Yoroi was immediately frozen by the paralysis genjutsu. Hinata then rushed forward and gave him a chop to the back of his head that knocked him out.

The Hyuuga Clan Box

Hanabi was impressed. "How exactly did Hikari manage to fix my sister's confidence problem?"

Hiashi "From my understanding, it involved lots of yelling, invoking her obvious crush on Naruto and using it as motivation, and other such things."

Hanabi: "Well…you can't argue with the results. She's grown a lot in just a mouth under her tutelage."

Hiashi smiled at his daughter. "As have you."

The Examinees Box.

Naruto immediately went over to Hinata when she body flickered back. "Way to go Hinata! You beat him easily!"

Hinata beamed from pure joy. "Thanks, Naruto!"

Everyone except Hikari looked at Hinata like she sprouted a second head.

Kiba: "Excuse me, but who are you and what have you done with Hinata?!"

Hikari "Oh that! You see, I've been teaching many different young Hyuuga students including Hinata during the week. Part of the one-on-one training I've been doing with her involves building up immunity and the ability to be confident when in close proximity to a certain crush of hers. It took several months in Vishnu time in addition to several weeks in real-time using clones and the transformation jutsu to get it done. But I succeeded!"

Hinata immediately blushed at the memories of that...All those sexy shirtless Naruto clones…'No! I'm better than this! I've been trained to resist! I can do this!'

True to her thoughts, Hinata managed to quickly regain her composure.

Sasuke "Huh, well good for you I suppose."

Ino 'How dare Sasuke compliment yet another girl who isn't me?! The nerve! But I can totally forgive him! He's just so hot!'

Hayate Gekkō "Would Rock Lee and Shino Aburame please come down to the arena?"

Rock Lee "Gai Sensei!-"

Hikari immediately activated her Byakugan and started going through some hand signs 'Vishnu!' She sent the genjutsu through her Byakugan to everyone but Rock Lee and Might Gai.

The next thing they knew they were all in the white and shifting world of Vishnu. Immediately after they arrived, reality reverted back to normal but Rock Lee was standing in the arena.

Tenten looked at her "Hikari, what did you just do?"

Hikari "I designed Vishnu to create a time stretch in the mind. Only in this case instead of having an extended period of time occur in but a moment of real-time, I reversed it so an extended period of time, in reality, occurred in but a moment of Vinshu time, a time compression in the mind."

Neji looked so happy and relieved. "Thank you! Thank you! To finally get a break from those two's antics…"

It was then that the fight started

The Arena

Rock Lee opened by rushing forward and trying to kick Shino, but instead of hitting Shino, he hit a black wall of insects. He tried again from a different angle but he yet again hit the wall of fast-moving insects. Shino then went on the offensive by sending a wave of insects heading towards Rock Lee.

The Examinees Box

Gaara "It's like watching someone fight against my sand shield, only instead of the Ichibi sensing them, it's the insects that make up the shield itself that senses any incoming attacks and respond accordingly."

Hikari "Hmm, I can actually see the similarities. I wonder who would win in a fight between the two of you? This would be with you being fully awake of course."

Gaara "hmm..."

The Arena

Rock Lee responded by taking out a short-staff and pressing a button on it. Electricity then ran along the staff and zapped some of the bugs he hit with it.

Shino responded by trying to crush him with a wave of bugs, only for Rock Lee to jump out of the way quickly and throw some shuriken at him. The shuriken bounced off a black shield made from his insects.

Rock Lee then rushed forward and tried to punch him again and again. Only to be blocked by a barrier of insects.

The Examinees Box

Gaara "Yes...This is extremely familiar."

Ino "I'm confused, this clearly isn't working so why isn't he using any ninjutsu or genjutsu? Fire ninjutsu is common enough in fire country and would be good to use against these gross bugs."

Might Gai "Lee doesn't have any ninjutsu or genjutsu skills at all."

Ino "What?! So he can only use taijutsu?!"

Might Gai "Yep. You should have seen him when I first met him. No talent at all. Some may consider that a disadvantage. I think otherwise."

The Arena

Shino tried hitting him with a massive wave of insects but Rock Lee jumped far back onto the wall of the stadium.

Might Gai looked at Lee with a smile and a thumbs up. "Alright, Lee! It's time to take the weights off again! I don't want you to make a habit of it, but when you have no choice you have my permission to do so!"

Rock Lee "Yes Gai Sensei!" He immediately did so and dropped the weights, letting them drop to the ground and create a crater and throw up some dust when they hit the ground. Rock Lee seemed to instantly disappear from view.

The Examinees Box

Everyone except Neji and Tenten visibly widened their eyes in surprise, Kiba was opening gaping. They didn't know those weights were that heavy!

Hikari nodded. "Impressive…"

Kakashi 'Gai, you are too much...'

Ino "What?! How can he train with weights that are so heavy?!"

Hikari, Hinata, Neji, Sasuke, and Kakashi all activated their doujutsus to even be able to track lee. Sasuke and Kakashi had an extremely difficult time tracking him, he was that fast.

Kakashi then looked at Hikari and saw she was wearing what looked to be some kind of shinobi armor under a transformation genjutsu. 'Huh, so she's wearing armor for the invasion? That's definitely old-fashioned.'

Knowing everyone with a Dojutsu would see her, she looked over the group before ending on Kakashi. "Firstly, when did you get here? Secondly, Flak jackets are stupid and offer next to no protection. The ninjas during the warring states period had the right idea with plate armor."

Neji "Hmm, everytime you've ever gone against tradition was for a good reason. I'll take your word on it."

Hikari "Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the Hyuuga Clan had something to do with the switch over to flak jackets. A well-made set of armor can easily block the gentle fist...And considering everyone tried to emulate the leaf village's success at the end of the warring states period…"

Neji immediately saw where this was going. "It spread to them as well…"

Kakashi "I just got here.. as for the Flak jackets, they are better for stealth operations."

Hikari "I have seals constantly casting a muffling genjutsu on my armor."

Kakashi "Well, the heat is extremely-"

Hikari "I have a cooling system using water seals and heat exchanger seals, and before you mention it, I also have air filter seals to regulate the smell."

Kakashi "Well, that's not exactly something that can be mass-produced now can it?"

Hikari "I wouldn't know how one could mass-produce seals but it probably can be done in some way or another. That being said, I think a little bit of heat is well worth the highly increased protection." She then decided the cat was out of the bag and dropped the transformation.

Tenten walked up and looked at the armor in awe.

Hikari "I'll tell you more about it later, we are watching a match after all. As for my armor, I want to keep it relatively secret so I'm putting it back under a transformation." In a puff of smoke, Hikari's normal appearance came back to being visible.

The Arena

In a blur of speed, Rock Lee then managed to hit Shino in the head. Instead of being knocked unconscious, Shino dissipated into a cloud of bugs.

Rock Lee 'A bug clone?'

"Earth Style: Hidden Mole Jutsu!" Beneath Lee's feet, Shino grabbed Lee's legs and managed to get a good amount of bugs on him before he jumped away.

The Examinees Box

Gaara "So he also has an earth affinity, interesting…"

Hikari "This fight is over, we all know Shino can dip his bugs in paralytic poisons. He did quite well, all things considered."

To all their surprise, Lee actually managed to keep moving despite the paralytic poison, if extremely stiffly.

Might Gai smiled "But you see I've trained him how to move through such things. It wouldn't work against more potent versions, but for basic ones that most people use, he can still move despite them."

Everyone looked at Gai in shock.

Hikari, as a poison mistress, was even more shocked than everyone else. "What?! He can do that?! How is that possible?!"

Might Gai smiled "It takes a truly massive level of willpower."

Hikari looked contemplative. "Well...I guess I'm making my paralytic poison as potent as I possibly can make it without turning it deadly..."

The Arena

Rock Lee 'I'm sorry Gai Sensei, but I don't have any other choice…' "Gate of Opening: Open!"

Rock Lee then ran forward extremely quickly and kicked Shino high into the air "Primary Lotus!"

The Examinees Box

Both Hikari and Kakashi stared at Might Gai in shock.

Hikari "You actually taught him how to open one of the eight inner gates?! Even I wouldn't dare attempt such a dangerous technique!"

Kakashi "You actually taught him how to open the first inner gate? At such a young age?!"

Might Gai smiled "Yes I most certainly did, I taught him to the point he can open each gate upto the sixth gate of joy!"

Both Kakashi and Hikari gaped at him.

Hikari/Kakashi "You did what?! How is that even possible?!"

Naruto "Umm, hey guys? What are the eight inner gates?"

Hikari decided to explain. "Alright Naruto, the eight inner gates are a kind of limiter on the body. You see we cannot handle having all our chakra circulate all at once so we evolved to create limiters, the eight inner chakra gates. By forcibly opening these gates, the user gains a great deal of power at the cost of extreme pain, exhaustion, and personal injury as our bodies were never meant to channel such strength. If one manages to open the eighth gate, then they will gain godlike power but at the cost of their own life."

Naruto: "Oh! That sounds kinda cool minus the bad parts…"

The Arena

Rock Lee then covered Shino in his bandages and moved to slam him into the ground. Before Shino's insects could even try to cushion his fall, Shino was knocked out cold.

Hayate Gekkō "Winner by Knockout! Rock Lee!"

Rock Lee "Yes! I have won, Gai Sensei!

Gai Sensei "Lee!"

Rock Lee "Gai Sensei!"

The Examinees Box

Hikari started weaving some hand signs "Oh hell no!" 'Vishnu!'

One Minute Later.

Neji "Thank you so much, you have no idea how much this means to me, Hikari."

Hikari smiled "You're welcome Neji!"

Hayate Gekkō "Would Tenten and Dosu please come down to the arena?"

The group saw Tenten put something in her ears before she body flickered down to the arena.

The Arena

Hayate Gekkō "Begin!"

Tenten immediately took out a katana and rushed towards Dosu.

Dosu responded by simply allowing her to come hit him with a two-handed block. At the last second, Tenten ran some wind chakra through her blade and Dosu's eyes widened. Tenten then sliced off his arms, leaving two stumps with blood flowing out like a waterfall from them.

Dosu looked at her in hatred. "I concede defeat."

Hayate Gekkō "Winner by debilitating injury and submission; Tenten!"

The Examinees Box

Hikari "Clever, she knew to activate his sound genjutsu he had to be physically hit. She waited until the last second to channel her wind chakra through the blade to shall I say...disarm him…"

Everyone groaned.

Naruto "Hikari, we've been over this! Your sense of humor sucks!"

Hikari: "Yeah yeah, ruin my fun. That aside, Tenten acted like a ninja and deceived the enemy into thinking she was working in his favor until it was too late. She's definitely chunin material."

Hayate Gekkō "Could Shikamaru Nara and Temari please come down to the arena?"

Temari immediately got up and body flickered down to the arena.

Shikamaru sighed and got up slowly. "What drag…"

Hikari "Oh to hell with it!" She then grabbed Shikamaru and body flickered down to the arena and dropped him on the ground before coming back up.

Shikamaru just sat there where Hikari dropped her.

The Examinees Box

Hikari put her palm on her face and slowly dragged it down before looking back at the arena. "Shikamaru is going to laze out isn't he?"

Neji "Yes."

Asuma "He was never very...motivated shall we say, but I'm absolutely sure he will pull through somehow."

The Arena

Hayate Gekkō "Begin!"

Temari just looked at Shikamaru sitting down in both anger and anticipation. "Well? Are you going to fight me or not?!"

Shikamaru was just staring at the wall. 'What a drag….I don't want to fight a girl…'

Soon enough everyone was booing and throwing trash at him. They clearly wanted a fight.

Shikamaru 'What a drag...these assholes just want this fight to get done and over with so they can see their precious last Uchiha fight…'

Temari "Well if you wouldn't attack, then I will!" She then channeled wind chakra through her fan and charged him.

Shikamaru 'Well...she's spunky, I hate spunky...too much energy…' He then took out two kunai, stuck them in the wall, and jumped out of the way and over behind a nearby tree.

Temari "That won't work on me! If I come near that tree then you'll use your shadow technique to get me!"

Shikamaru "Well...I guess I better get this massive drag over with so I can sleep…"

He then ran his shadow possession jutsu along the string and caught Temari just as she was about to let loose blades of wind with her fan.

Temari "What?! How did you get me? I didn't even see your shadow possession jutsu!"

Shikamaru tugged the thin string and lifted it off the ground where Temari could see it. "If you remember my last fight then you will remember that my opponent used senbon with strings on them. These strings were to activate her genjutsu but I used them as a way to get to her body with my shadow possession jutsu. After that fight, I attached a thin string to all my throwing weapons to replicate this effect and extend my shadow possession jutsu almost indefinitely…"

Temari's eyes widened. 'No! How could I forget about that! He made me think he was just a lazy slacker when he was just baiting me into getting into his new range of attack! This lazy bum just outsmarted me!'

Shikamaru then raised his hand and Temari raised her's as well but with her fan. He then made a swinging motion and Temari knocked herself out with her own fan.

Shikamaru then laid down himself and started watching the clouds.

The Examinees Box

Hikari "Huh, I am pleasantly surprised to say I was wrong."

Asuma "Shikamaru never was very driven but I know better than anyone just how smart he is." He then got up and got Skikumaru in a body flicker.

Hayate Gekkō "Would Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha please come down to the arena for the final match?"

Naruto "Alright! It's my turn! Let's go Sasuke!"

Both Naruto and Sasuke immediately body flickered down the arena with grins on their faces.

The Arena

Both Naruto and Sasuke stood waiting.

Hayate Gekkō "Begin!"

Naruto started by making the hand sign to create a whole bunch of shadow clones "Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

Sasuke also made the same hand sign "Shadow Clone Jutsu!" He then sent the shadow clone away and the clone performed some hand signs "Transformation Jutsu!" The shadow clone then turned into a small insect that hid in the grass. The clone under the genjutsu started meditating.

Sasuke then made some more hand signs "Lightning Style: Lightning Beast Running!" A wolf made from lightning then jumped at Naruto.

Naruto performed some hand signs of his own "Wind Style: Vacuum Barrier!" The lightning jutsu then flowed over Naruto. Naruto then started palm punching the air "Wind Style: Gale Palm Onslaught!" The Naruto clones then started palm punching and sending a massive wave of air at Sasuke.

Sasuke wove some hand signs of his own "Fire Style: Flame Cloak"

The incoming wind jutsu didn't work as intended and just massively empowered Sasuke's flame cloak.

Sasuke wove some hand signs "Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu!" Sasuke then siphoned a bit of fire from his massive flame cloak and set it toward Naruto.

Naruto wove some hand signs "Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

The thousands of clones easily blocked the flame jutsu. But Sasuke kept firing more and more flame jutsus at him and siphoned off from his massive several dozen foot tall wind enhanced flame cloak.

Naruto wove some hand signs. "Ninja Art: Multi Shadow Toad Rasengan!" All around the arena, thousands of toads appeared in a cloud of smoke. These toads then opened their mouths and formed a Rasengan in them. They then charged Sasuke.

Naruto "You're finished!"

It was then that the shadow clone from earlier gathered enough nature energy and he dispelled it. Green chakra rushed from the side of the arena toward Sasuke. Sasuke opened his Sharingan eyes and around them were red markings that headed down his torso and onto his arms, stopping at his wrists.

The Examinees Box

Everyone was looking at Sasuke in shock

Hikari "Huh, Sauske's a sage now. You know, I think I've changed my mind. I'm definitely going to become a snake sage after the 'main event' happening later today."

The other jonin in the room knew she was referring to the invasion.

Neji looked surprised "I-I can't see him with my Byakugan. How is this possible?!"

Hikari "Senjutsu. Nature energy is invisible to all forms of chakra detection barring another senjutsu user."

Shikamaru "A sage? How could he get all that down in just a month? That sounds like such a drag..."

Hikari "Time moves slower in the nature energy influenced animal dimensional realms. One month in such a realm is one week in reality. It makes birthdays really complex if you stay for an extended period of time there."

The Arena

Sasuke wove some hand signs "Sage Art: Majestic Destroyer Flame!"

A truly gigantic wave of fire headed towards Naruto and quickly dispelled all the Rasengan toads. Several ninjas jumped in to block the legendary Uchiha fire ninjutsu with a wave of water before it killed all the spectators on that half of the arena.

Naruto saw wall of fire quickly approaching him and time slowed down. He then found himself in a...sewer system?

Kyūbi "Come to me...I can offer you the power you need to destroy the Uchiha you fight…"

Naruto looked at the massive creature, a fox to be exact, behind caged bars.

Naruto "You're the Kyūbi aren't you…"

Kyūbi "I am, if you want it, I can give you the power to match the Uchiha…"

Naruto really thought about it "I accept, but only because it's a gift. I wouldn't want to steal from you."

The Kyūbi scoffed. "Steal from me? Why would a human care about that, all of you are the same, all of you want my power and chakra."

Naruto: "Well, I'm not like them, I'll only accept your chakra if you give it to me."

The Kyūbi was momentarily taken aback by that "Very well, you shall have the power you seek…"

Back in the real world, oppressive chakra bubbled around Naruto and formed a cloak around him with three tails. His eyes turned to red slits.

The Hyuuga Clan Box

Hanabi started panicking. "Father?! What is this evil chakra?!"

Hiashi sighed "That is the chakra of the nine-tailed fox. Naruto keeps us all safe by keeping the beast locked away."

Hanabi "So the fourth Hokage didn't kill it, he sealed it in Naruto to keep us all safe."

Hiashi "Correct. And don't worry about the chakra coming out, Jinchūriki like Naruto have some control over their tailed beast powers. Just don't tell anyone I told you any of this."

Hanabi nodded. "I won't, Father."

The Arena

Naruto then wove some hand signs at the direction of the fox. "Scorch Style: Blast Wave!" A massive wave of blood-red fire chakra was sent toward the majestic destroyer flame and matched it. A few seconds later both techniques dissipated.

Sasuke wove some hand signs and rushed forward with a vibrant green sword of senjutsu enhanced lightning chakra the size of his torso. "Sage Art: Chidori Cleaver!"

Naruto in his one-tailed state did similarly with orange fox chakra forming his swirling attack. "Fox Rasengan!"

Hayate Gekkō despaired.'They're going to kill each other! They're going to kill each other and I can't stop it! I can't stop these high Kage-level attacks! To lose two such powerful shinobi…'

The Examinees Box

Hikari literally jumped into action, dropping her transformation, activating her blue seal chakra barriers, her chakra armor over the barriers, her Byakugan, and body flickering her way to get in between Naruto and Sasuke. She unsealed her three purity-seeking orbs, expanded them into discs, channeled Yin-Yang chakra through them, and moved one beneath her feet on the way to allow her to fly faster towards them than she could body flicker.

Right before the two high Kage level attacks impacted and killed each caster respectively, she raised two white barriers to block and nullify their attacks before she immediately shifted the purity seeking orbs to wrap around Naruto and Sasuke in two white cylinders with only their head sticking out.

Hikari was furious. "WHAT DO YOU TWO IDIOTS THINK YOU'RE DOING?! YOU ALMOST KILLED EACH OTHER!"

Naruto yelled, his voice was clearly not his own, but a deep one filled with fury and hate. "DAUGHTER OF HAMURA! RELEASE ME THIS INSTANT TO LET ME SLAY THE SON OF INDARA!" The orange chakra of the fox then started receding as Hikari's purity-seeking orbs nullified the tailed beast chakra. Hikari saw that her orbs weren't nullifying the nature energy of Sauske, and if anything, they actually seemed to have their form disrupted by the nature energy.

Hikari then shifted the purity seeking orb around Sauske to impale him with tiny spikes. These spikes were injected directly into his chakra system and started nullifying the normal chakra in his body. Effectively forced to be overwhelmed with nature energy or revert from sage mode, Sauske fully reverted from sage mode.

Everyone in the stadium looked at the unfolding events in pure shock. They were sure those two were both going to die but they were both saved and had their extremely powerful attacks totally nullified…

...Just what was team seven?

The Hyuuga Clan Box

Hiashi just looked at the floating blue samurai standing on a white disc in pure shock. "Hikari?!"

Hanabi looked up to her father."Father, what is that technique that created those white things? Who's Hamura? Who's Indara?"

Hiashi "I don't know...but these white things feel familiar somehow...The same is true for the name Hamura...I feel some kind of familiarity with that name for a reason I cannot explain..."

Hiashi "I...I feel it too...what is this?! Who is Hamura?! What is that technique?!"

Hiashi "The fox has been around for a long time, Hanabi. Hamura is clearly a Hyuuga ancestor of ours who bested him at some point in history by using this technique. The same can probably be said of this Indara who was most likely an Uchiha. As for the technique, It can clearly nullify normal and even tailed beast chakra; something that would prove necessary to best the fox."

Hanabi "Ok, I can understand that, Hamara does sound like a Hyuuga name after all. What I don't understand is why do we both feel this innate familiarity with that name and technique! What is this?!..."

Hiashi regarded his daughter. "I don't know…But I will consult with the clan archives after this to try my best and find out. I'll also ask Sasuke to do similarly in his Uchiha archives about this Indara person."

The Kage Box

Orochimaru had never seen such jutsu before and he wanted it badly! And oh how delicious, Sasuke was everything he hoped for and more! 'Yet another spoil of war this invasion will get me!' He thought with glee.

The Third Hokage looked at him in his Kazekage disguise "Quite impressive is it not? Not even fifteen years old and these three are well on their way to surpassing the strongest of those that came before them. This is what the will of fire can produce...my wayward and misguided pupil…" The third Hokage's transformation dropped to reveal his battle armor. Two sets of black rings then appeared around his eyes as he activated his sage mode.

Orochimaru immediately went through the hand signs to cast the sleep genjutsu and begin the invasion.

Feathers then appeared to start raining from the sky and not a few milliseconds later, Orochimaru was sent through the ceiling and high into the air by a powerful chakra enhanced punch delivered by The Third Hokage.
