AN: Happy birthday to Richard Dean Anderson
CH 10
He waved the others over. Janet took Sam's shoes off and put a blanket over her and Jack at the same time.
"How are you feeling Jack?" Hank asked
"Ok now, doc here told me what happen"
"The police want to talk to you in the morning"
"Thanks Hank"
"How did you know it was detective Shannon" George asked,
"Just as I walked around the corner of the house I could see him looking through the window. He turned as I approached him. I was just about to ask him what he was doing there, when he hit me with something. Then I was little dizzy, when I tried to get up then I felt something against the back of my neck, that was the last thing till I woke up with a tube in my mouth"
"Ok, we will let you get some rest"
"Ok"
Then they left them alone; Janet turned down the lights in the room before leaving. Jack took one more look at Sam before closing his eyes and falling asleep himself. Few minutes later Teal'c and Jacob showed up. George told them what had happened.
"Thanks for telling us, the detective that is assigned to the case was there when Daniel told us what happened back here, then he spoke to the detective, telling him about what Jack said. He arrested Shannon while we were there. They got a call the gun that was used to hit Jack belong to him and the footprints are the same as his, same with the finger prints." Jacob said
"Well you can tell them in the morning, they are both sleeping now" Janet said
"Ok, well I'm heading back to Sam place, the police are still there, see you all in the morning" They all went their separate ways for the night after saying good night to each other.
The next morning Jack woke up feeling a warm body next to him, he opened his eyes to see blonde hair in his face, then he closed his eyes, remembering what the night before, how Pete attacked him and how Sam saved his life. Then he heard the door open and quiet footsteps over to the bed; he opened his eyes to see Jacob standing there with a grin on his face.
"Hey, how are you feeling this morning Jack?"
"Ok, you?"
"I'm fine, Hank has inform the joint chief of staff about what happen to you last night, they given you the next few days off"
"So no more paper work till I get back from our honeymoon, sweet" Jacob chuckled
"But will there when you return jack, like the mission reports that take months for you to do"
"Gee thanks for reminding me about that dad"
"So what are you going to do for the next couple of days?"
"Help Sam here with the wedding plains of course"
Then they heard Sam moan and started to move her head. Jack could tell she was starting to wake up. When she did, she opens her eyes to look at her father sitting there with a grin on his face
"Morning Sam"
"Morning dad"
Then she felt someone kiss the top of her head, she moves her head to see who it was, she look up into this brown eyes and smiled
"Morning sweetheart"
"Morning Jack, how's the head?"
"Good" He bends over a bit and gives her a morning kiss. Then she snuggled closer into his side.
"Sam I was saying to Jack here that he is going to help you with the wedding plains since his got few days off"
"That's good news, I know that we have got a lot to do in such a short time"
"Ok, well I'll leave you two alone before Dr Fraser come in"
"Thanks dad" Sam said Jacob got up and left the room.
Sam turned to look at Jack once again; they both gave one another a passionate kiss.
"This feels good, hold you in my arms like this" Jack said
"Yeah, but next time it will be in a bigger bed"
"True" then they heard the door open, they both looked to see who it was.
"Morning Janet"
"Morning Sam, General"
"Morning doc, so when can I leave?"
"Well I need to run couple of tests, if everything is clear, then you can go"
"Sweet, when?"
"How about now"
"Ok"
Sam got up from the bed, while Janet made a couple of calls.
"I'll go and find some clothes for you"
"Ok, once I'm out of here, why don't we both freshen up and grab some brunch for starts"
"Ok, sounds good to me, don't give the staff a hard time, while I'm away"
"I'll try not to, we both know what will happen" Sam smiled
"Yes, I know, I better go, I love you Jack"
"I love you to Sam.'' They both kissed before Sam left to find something for Jack to wear.
Hour later both Jack and Sam left the base, Sam was able to get Jack some BDU clothes for him to wear. They went to Jack place first so he could shower and get change. Once done there, they went to Sam place. Sam was in the shower when there was a knock on the door; Jack went to answer it
"Can I help you?"
"Yes, are you General O'Neill"
"Who wants to know?"
"I'm Detective Ross, I'm leading the investigation in your assault from last night by Detective Shannon" He show Jack his ID
"Ok, come in"
Jack opened the door wider and the cop walked into the house, once the door was closed, they walked into the dinning area.
"Would you like some coffee or something else?"
"Coffee fine thanks" Jack started making the coffee
"Do you know where Colonel Carter is?"
"Yes, she in having a shower, here you go"
"Thanks"
"So you want to know what happened last night?"
"Yes, if you can"
Jack told him what had happened last night and who it was, everything right till when he woke up.
"Wow, you were very lucky"
"Yes I am"
"When I spoke to Detective Shannon, he said that colonel Carter is his girl friend"
"X-girl friend" Sam said walking toward the kitchen, Jack passed her coffee to her.
"Thanks" she took a sip, when the detective noticed the ring.
"I see and you two are what?"
"Engage" Jack said
"Congratulation to you both"
"Thanks, it's taken us eight years to get together, now that there is no rules standing in our way, we going to make the most of it why we can"
"Eight years is a long time"
"We know"
"Colonel Carter I would like your statement on what happen last night if you don't mind"
"Sure, ok" Sam told him what happened last night, a few minutes later she finished.
"Thanks for letting me know, I'll be in contact in the next few days"
"ok, thanks"
Sam showed the detective the door, once close she walked back into the kitchen where they both hugged and kissed.
"Hungry?"
"Yeah, I am"
"Ok, let get some brunch and start-get the last of the things sorted out for the wedding"
They both left and went into town, to do some shopping and get the marriage licence sorted out. They even had afternoon tea while in town. Then they went to the jewellery shop to sort out their wedding rings, they both chose plain yellow gold bands each. Then they went to O'malley's for dinner before heading back to Sam's place. Jack stayed there for an hour before he left for his place.
On Friday afternoon, both Sam and Janet went shopping for a wedding gown and bridesmaid dresses. Sam found the one she liked, so she tried it on.
It was a Graceful Italian Satin A-line gown with carriage back over a detachable chapel train. Floral embroidery concentrated at the waistline is accented with delicate beading and is lightly scattered throughout and a detachable chapel train. Even Janet loved it.
She even picked a Rhinestone headband featuring rows of pearls as a headpiece with a Two-tier circular corded veil with rhinestones and pearls.
Janet chose Two piece matte satin dress. Bodice has floral embroidery and crystals, laced on both sides. Matte satin a line skirt. It was in peach colour. She picked them out for both her and Cassie.
Once they finished there, they went to the florist shop to order peach and white roses for both hair and bouquet, since Sam was having white roses for her flowers. Once they finished there they headed to Sam place so she could pack a bag for a couple of days, then they went Janet place to drop everything off since Sam was staying there the night. That night they went to a restaurant in town. When they got there, Jack and Daniel showed up.
"Sam, Doc, Cassie are you two here for dinner as well?" Jack and Sam hug and kiss
"Yeah, Janet chose this place"
"Daniel did the same" then he look at the two of them
"I smell a rat here, actually two doctor rats"
"Come on, I'm hungry," Cassie said as she walked to the door.
The others follow followed her in, when they walk through the double wooden doors
"Surprise"
Everyone from the SGC and their families greeted them. Jack turned to Janet and Daniel; he pointed his finger at them both.
"You two, you set us up"
"With some help" Jacob said
Walking over to them, giving Sam a hug and kiss on the cheer before shaking Jack hand. Then they turned to look at every one there.
"Well on behalf of Sam and myself thank you all for whatever it is, thank you"
Every one clap, before everyone mingled. Sam was surprised to see Mark and his family there also. They talk for a bit before sitting down to dinner. Two hours later a big three layer chocolate sponge heart shaped cake showed up with white icing on top with their name on it done in small chocolate heart shape and roses all over the cake. They both cut it and kiss at the same time. Everyone enjoyed themselves, once the cake was gone.
Jack and Sam thanked everyone when they all started to leave. Jack and Sam both hug and kiss before they both leave, since Daniel was staying at Jack place and Sam was staying at Janet place.
When Jack and Daniel arrived and Jack opened his door and turned on the lights, he got a shock, most of the guys were waiting for him.
"What the hell are you doing here?"
"It's your bucks night Jack, so here, drink up and have some fun" Jacob said, passing a beer to him, then they got him to sit down in his favourite chair.
"For you last night of freedom we got you some internment"
"Daniel, what have you done?"
Then the music started. A blonde headed woman showed up in an air force uniform. She started dancing and then started striping, all the guys cheered her on. Jack just sat there shaking his head; he couldn't believe what they did, somehow they got into his house and now a stripper.
"What a matter son" Jacob said,
"I can't believe you guys have done"
"Why not, Sel is enjoying this, so should you"
"Gee thanks"
Few minutes later all she had on was the American flag bikini on. Once finished she went to get dressed, before being paid and left. They guys have few beers to drink. The party lasted four hours, before they either passed outs or called for a taxi to take them home.
When Janet, Cassie and Sam arrived back at Janet's house, all the women there greeted Sam.
"Janet, what's going on?"
"It's you hen's night Sam" Janet said smiling
"What" Sam was shocked?
"Come on Sam"
Cassie pulled Sam into the lounge where the party began. Once seated, they started with a male stripper in an air force uniform dancing and stripping in front of Sam, the song that was playing called 'I'm too sexy'. Sam laughed.
"Janet I can't believe what you have done"
"Why not"
All of the women were enjoying themselves. Once the clothes were removed he was wearing a blue speedo with a picture of Bart Simpson on the back of it saying 'I'm too sexy' when Sam saw what was on it, she laughed so much her face went red, so did the other ladies from the group.
Everyone enjoyed themselves; having drinks and eating snacks during the evening. They all talked and played some games as well. Then the evening drew to a close, and everyone said good night and left in either taxi or in their own car since some of the women didn't drink any alcohol there. Janet, Cassie and Sam finally got to bed just after two in the morning.
Later that morning Jack woke up with a hangover, he groaned when he got up and went to relieve himself, then after washing his hand he took a couple of aspirins before having a shower. After that he slipped into some sweat pants and tee shirt, before heading into the kitchen to make some coffee.
While he was having that, he started making breakfast for the ones who crashed at his place for the night. Few minutes later Daniel showed up, so Jack passed him a glass of water and a bottle of aspirin to him. Once Daniel had them he got himself a cup of coffee, before sitting down at the breakfast bar.
Not long after that, Jacob and George showed up, then Teal'c did a few minutes later. They all talk while Jack dishes up bacon, scrabble eggs, pancake and toast for every one. Then five other's who crashed there for the night showed up. They all talk softly while having their breakfast.
"Well dad what did Selmac think of her first bucks night last night?" Since the ones who are there know about the SGC
"She loved it, Jack, then she was going through my other memories from other bucks nights that I have attended over the years. At least you didn't strip down to your boxers and cuff to a pole outside of the base at four in the morning wearing a sign saying. 'I'm getting married this Saturday, toot for best of luck' It was so embarrassing especially with the top brass were showing up that morning"
"Let me guest, that was you dad?" Jacob laughed
"No, it was George here" they all burst out laughing.
"George," Jack said looking at him.
"Yes, when the three cars stopped just outside the base, they all got out and walked over to me, they were all grinning, one of the generals said to me 'airmen you're out of uniform'. And I said I'm off duty sir, sorry I can't salute you as you can see, and I was cuffed to the poll. They asked who I was, I told them Lieutenant George Hammond sir. They congratulated me on my wedding for the next day and hope that I get my revenge on the ones whom did what they did to me, then they went back into their cars, trying not to laugh, they were soon as they got in"
"Where did that happen?" Daniel asked
"Outside of Cheyenne Mountain"
"Damn we should have done that to Jack here?"
"I'm glad you didn't" they all burst out laughing.
"Did you get your revenge on them?"
"Yes did on some of them"
They all talked for a bit before everyone left to get ready. Jacob was staying at George place for the weekend since Sam was at Janet place.
