Finding a plethora of magical alpha omega couples that were trying to conceive and willing to participate in a research study involving an unapproved potion took some time.
Eventually though, the Committee for Potions managed to find a suitable amount of study subjects who suffered from infertility.
While Severus stayed abreast of the results that trickled in over the next year, he and Lily continued to raise their family.
As little Harry started to talk more, the triplets grew as well.
The babies were always eager to smile at their older brother.
Eileen and Lily continued to care for the children, but Lily began a new project with Severus that she often tended to...the Snape family's garden.
At first it started with only a few pots in the conservatory, each filled with fresh sprouts of several flowers and herbs.
Gradually, those flowers and herbs needed to be transplanted as they grew.
Those few pots became many and the plants inside them eventually thrived to the point that they had to be placed directly in the ground on the backside of the Snapes' property.
Severus and Lily thoroughly enjoyed caring for their garden together.
During the spring, summer, and autumn, they worked to tend the plants while Harry toddled around and stuck his hands into the dirt as his triplet brothers looked on from their enchanted carriers that sat in their parents' line of sight.
Harry was still too young to understand the love between his mother and father, but he blinked up at them curiously every time that he saw them kiss.
Some children his age would have cried at the sight, mistaking their mother and father's interaction as an act of conflict, but Severus and Lily's kisses gave little Harry too much comfort for him to be upset.
Why should he cry when his Mummy and Daddy looked so happy?

The conclusions from the research studies on the fertility potion that Severus had invented proved to be overwhelmingly positive.
The high birth rate of healthy babies born to the study's participants spoke of the formula's safety and efficacy.
Shortly after the results had been completed, Severus attended another meeting with the Committee for Potions where he received a formal offer to have his second creation manufactured and distributed as well.
His patent check for the fertility potion was double that of the payment that he had received for his Dragon Pox cure.
The fertility potion had been viewed by the committee as a luxury item.
In accordance with the fertility potion's approved level of necessity, the committee had sanctioned the mixture to be manufactured and sold by private companies, which would surely result in a higher profit than a life-saving medicine primarily distributed throughout the wizarding world's free healthcare system.
One groundbreaking potion was more than most potioneers achieved in a lifetime, but two phenomenal displays of mastery before the age of twenty-five were beyond remarkable.
Severus sat on the sofa one morning, while Credence, Sterling, and Basil all cooed in his lap.
Harry scribbled on a piece of parchment from his seat on the floor.
Severus's eldest son looked up with wide eyes as his mother suddenly came running over with a letter in her hand.
"Severus!" Lily called with an excited smile, "Severus!"
Severus turned around on the sofa with his brow furrowed.
His heart clenched until he saw the glad smile on Lily's face.
It wasn't under any usual circumstance that she called him by his full first name.
"What's the matter?" Severus asked as Lily raced towards him, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing's wrong! Nothing's wrong!" Lily laughed excitedly while she shoved the letter into Severus's hands, "Everything's right! It must be, The Council of Honors has written to you!"
Severus frowned at his mate for a moment before he opened up the letter and removed the parchment from the envelope.
He scowled down at the page while Lily read over his shoulder:
Dear Mr. Severus Snape,
After considering the kind words that your esteemed mentor, Professor Horace Slughorn, has spoken on your behalf and your monumental contributions to the wizarding world as a whole, the Council of High Honors has decided to bestow upon you the honorary title of Potions Master. Your award will be formally granted three weeks from today at 8:00 pm exactly in the banquet hall located on the second level of the Ministry of Magic. Please come accordingly and note that all family members will be welcome at this event.
Sincerely,
Ericswell Seengren, Chairman for the Council of High Honors, Ministry of Magic
The triplets blinked while Harry frowned at the expression of shock on Severus's face and worriedly asked, "...Daddy?"
Lily clasped her hands over her face as Severus looked up at her with his mouth open and his dark eyes wide.
"...They're going to make me a Potions Master….." He spoke to Lily in a voice barely louder than a whisper.
Lily could no longer contain the pride that she took in her mate's accomplishment as she squealed in excitement and leaned down.
As best she could without getting in her small sons' way, she gave Severus a tight hug.
Credence, Sterling, and Basil patted their mother's arms while Severus eagerly returned his wife's embrace with a gentle purr.
"That's amazing, Sev!" Lily gasped in his ear as they hugged.
Her words put the slightest hint of a blush into her alpha's cheeks.
The award was lovely, but it flustered Severus whenever he heard Lily say that anything about him or anything that he had done was…….amazing~.

Some felt that Severus receiving the title of "Potions Master" was a bit premature due to the fact that his second potion had been tested but not yet marketed or sold
Lily did not share that notion as she walked beside her husband on the night of the council of High Honors' award ceremony.
The Ministry's banquet hall had been filled with various decorations, rows of tables and chairs, and a copious amount of delectable foods.
Severus had invited his mother after he had been assured that childcare would be provided, but Eileen had respectfully declined her son's invitation.
As proud as she was of her only child, Eileen and Severus both shared the trait of not favoring social gatherings.
Severus wore his usual black robes, but he had purchased Lily a fine new dress in a beguiling shade of baby blue that he very much appreciated.
That dress clung to all of Mrs. Snape's new curves in a way that others found tasteful but Severus found arousing.
It was all he could do to keep his hands off of his beautiful mate as he escorted Lily to their seats and helped her into her chair.
Lily's belly had shrunken since the triplets' birth, although her breasts certainly had not.
The adorable bounce that her swollen glands gave as she lowered herself onto her bottom drew Severus's attention for an embarrassingly long second.
"Are you alright, love?" Lily asked as she cleared her throat.
Severus's dark eyes narrowed in embarrassment before his gaze moved up to meet his wife's.
Lily chuckled at the mortified look on her alpha's face, but Severus's humiliation was overcome by admiration as he gazed at his flawless mate.
Mrs. Snape's light blue dress made her crimson hair seem even more red as her green eyes sparkled at him, emeralds highlighted by the porcelain of her fair face.
Severus felt the blood rush to his groin before he took his seat and held Lily's hand in his.
Moments later, a hush fell over the evening's attendees as the Minister for Magic himself walked out onto the small platform at the front of the room and officially opened the award ceremony.
Once the lights in the room had dimmed, Lily let her hand accidentally brush against Severus's groin, which earned her a strangled gasp and a scowl from her alpha.
Severus looked bothered while Lily innocently stared straight ahead.
He huffed to himself as he marveled at his bride's cruelty.
Lily was lucky that Severus couldn't pounce on her where they sat, else he would have had no choice but to punish his bold lover for her audacity.

No one in the room beamed brighter than Lily as the Minister for Magic called out loudly, "SEVERUS SNAPE!"
She abandoned her attempts at teasing Severus as he rose from his chair.
He felt Lily lay a comforting hand on his back as he stepped out from the rows of seats and walked towards the platform at the front of the room.
Severus's face looked pale and tense as he walked up to the Minister for Magic and stood in front of everyone while the leader of Britain's wizarding world addressed him directly, "Severus Snape, in agreement with the Committee for Potions and the Council of High Honors, I hereby grant you the honorary title of Potions Master, under the mutual acknowledgment that you will continue your research to better enhance our world and benefit all those who dwell within it."
"Yes, sir. I will, you have my word." Severus nodded.
The Minister for Magic smiled kindly at Severus as he handed him a very prestigious-looking plaque, clapped him on the shoulder, and spoke to the crowd as he announced him by his new, formal title, "Severus Snape, Potions Master!"
Applause rang out.
Severus resisted the urge to blanch, not used to all of the attention.
As his dark eyes peered through the bright light at the front of the room to land on Lily, everyone but her seemed to fade away.
Severus's chest swelled with pride as he drank in the elated smile on his mate's face and the vigorous clapping of her hands.
Lily was proud of him.
Lily was happy for him.
That was all he needed.
He could ignore the applause and the cheers, it was all unnecessary.
Lily's approval was the only thing that mattered to the newest Potions Master.

After the ceremony concluded, the Snapes were too full of anxious excitement to go straight home.
They chose to apparate to Hogsmeade instead and wander the streets for a bit of fresh air while they chatted with each other.
"I'm so proud of you, Sev!" Lily laughed as she clutched onto Severus's arm.
He had to forcibly bite back the smile that wanted to spread across his lips.
"I'm glad that you're pleased, my love." Severus stoically replied as they walked along, "I expected the findings of the research study to be positive, but I hadn't anticipated this……..Slughorn mentioned that it may happen one day….perhaps...but not now."
Lily paused to admire a beautiful necklace that hung on a mannequin in a window and Severus swept up behind her to purr in her ear, "Has that caught your eye?...I can purchase it for you first thing in the morning."
"I don't even know how much it costs, Sev." Lily laughed quietly while she shivered as the breath from her husband's low rumble tickled her.
"Price isn't important…….You're my world, Lily, let me give you a gift……..We have the second patent check and the apothecary is thriving." Severus purred as he noticed the subtle blush that tinted Lily's cheeks under the streetlamp.
"I don't deserve a gift, Sev!" Lily laughed again. Her green eyes shimmered as she looked at Severus and spoke, "This is your achievement, not mine. You're the one who should have a gift. Let me give you one instead! Tell me…….what would you like?"
As Severus stared at Lily, her blush deepened at the smouldering intensity of his dark gaze.
He stepped closer and devoured her with his black stare as his eyes roamed over her hair, her curves, the exposed bits of leg and shoulder that showed her flawless flesh……..
His request was simple as he spoke in one low growl, "...A daughter."
A daughter.
Lily's eyes widened.
"A……...a daughter, Sev?" She asked.

Mr. and Mrs. Snape utilized the back alley of Hogsmeade for some makeshift privacy.
Lily's beautiful dress had its seams ripped as Severus wrenched her legs around his waist while she clawed his trousers open.
Their coupling against the back wall of the women's shop was quick but intense and before they had caught their breath, Severus apparated them home to escape to their own bed for another round.
Spent but somehow rested, when Lily woke the next morning, ready to feed her milk to Severus's sons, she blinked and sat up.
A bittersweet smile curled her lips.
Severus's place in the bed next to her was empty
It was late, he had already left to see to his day's work.
However, on Severus's pillow, the beautiful necklace that Lily had admired in the shop window the night before sat waiting patiently for its new owner.
