Love: feel deep affection for (someone)
I love you.
Zoro wishes he could say those words to Mihawk. He wants him to know that he has fallen with the swordsman. How he stole his heart and made him feel things he never thought he would feel. The way he would sit back and listen and even ask questions. Almost like he wanted to know everything about him.
Now he has to leave. Depart and reunite with his crew. Two years are all he had to be with Mihawk, even if he will never know. Zoro wishes he was strong enough to say those words aloud. He's not even sure if Mihawk likes him back.
I love you.
His feelings had grown strong whenever they were alone talking. Mihawk would listen to every word the young swordsman spoke and fall in love with him over and over. He loves how he lights up whenever he talks about his crew and the advetures they had.
Sadly he only had two years to train him, and now they were getting ready to leave. He didn't want Zoro to depart, but it had to happen. His captain would need him to fight along with him. Mihawk understands that. He does, but he wishes he was strong enough to say those three words.
And yet he asks for help.
I love you.
Sighing, Zoro heads out of his room that he will never see again, walks down the hallway for the last time, and heads towards the kitchen. Perona looks up and smiles. It's a smile he knows very much. "You're planning something." He points out. "What? No." Perona says with a glint in her eye. "Yeah, sure. Tell me what you are planning." He says.
"That would ruin the surprise." She replies with a huff." Surprise?" He questions with a raised eyebrow. "Yes, now go sit and wait till breakfast is ready." She says as she shoos him away. With a roll of his single eye, he heads towards the table, sets his swords down beside him, and sits down.
He wonders when Mihawk will show up if he shows up. Sometimes it would be just them two in the kitchen. Why? Both don't know that answer. Perhaps he's busy with something like planning for Zoro's training. Zoro admits he likes it when it's the three of them, even if he and Perona argue about something stupid.
Are you done yet?" Zoro asks. "Almost. We are missing someone." She replies. She has a ghost in his room watching him. She smirks as Mihawk paces back and forth in his room. Obviously, his nerves are getting to him. She thinks as she cuts the pancakes into hearts. Come on, old man, it's time for you to join us. She grins as the ghost moves from the doorway and gets in front of Mihawk.
Mihawk glares at the ghost, who he knows is Perona doing this. Mihawk had asked her to help him plan out how to tell Zoro his feelings. She, of course, knew about their feelings and watched as they walked around each other and immediately agreed. "Alright, I'm going." He mutters and follows the ghost as he exits his room.
I love you.
Perona giggles as she puts the heart-shaped pancakes on the plates and sets them on the table where Mihawk and Zoro are. Zoro raises an eyebrow as he takes a look at the pancakes. "Hearts?" He questions. "Yes, aren't they cute?" She asks with a smirk. Zoro knows that is not all to her plan and carefully watches as she walks past Mihawk and pats him on the shoulder.
"Alright, let's dig in. " Perona says and grabs a fork to take a bite out of the pancakes. Zoro rolls his eye and takes a bite out of the pancakes. Sweet. Zoro licks his lip and continues to eat them. Perona covers her mouth to stop the giggles as Mihawk's face reddens. She turns her attention to Zoro and smiles.
"I see you like my pancakes." She says. Zoro blushes as he swallows. "Yeah. They are sweet." He replies. She giggles and leans back into her chair. She didn't actually make them. Mihawk already made the batter for her to cook. "Awesome! I'm glad you like them!" She says and nudges Mihawk's ankle with her foot.
I love you!
Docking his ship at Sabaody, Mihawk takes a deep breath and walks towards Zoro. He has to say it before they depart. He's not sure when they will see each other again, so this might be his only chance. "Zoro," Mihawk calls out to get the swordsman's attention. "Mmm?" Zoro turns around and notices how odd Mihawk is acting.
Taking a few steps towards him, Mihawk places his index finger under his chin and looks into his single eye." M-Mihawk?" Zoro stutters. His heart is racing in his chest at how close Mihawk is. "I love you, Zoro," Mihawk whispers and connects his lips with Zoro's. Zoro stands still as Mihawk kisses him gently. He blinks a few times, then wraps his arms around his neck and kisses back.
Pulling away, they lean against each other's foreheads. "I love you too, Mihawk." Zoro blushes as he smiles. Mihawk smiles back and kisses him again. Zoro happily hums into the kiss. They hear a cheer and pull away to see Perona floating with her hands covering her face. Both chuckle at her display and intertwine their fingers. "Cute!" Perona shouts.
