Chapter 15: Fallen Friend
Aang PoV
Who would have thought that Toph has a huge destiny related to the Earth Spirit! As Toph and I were about to follow Hei to start our training, suddenly I feel a huge headache and visions about Bumi being defeated by Long Feng and also about a boy from the water tribe who is also the same age as Katara. Hei was clutching his head, and he seems to have similar visions as well.
"Guys are you alright, both of your eyes glow at the same time and both of you seem to be in pain," Toph said in a concerned tone as she hold on to the both of us.
"Looks like we may need to go to Omashu because we have another who will join us in our journey as well," Hei said urgently
"Hei, we need to save Bumi from Long Feng or else Long Feng will kill them. Luckily Appa is still around this area, so we may need to find Appa and Momo quickly. Luckily, I still got the whistle" I said As I blow my whistle. Appa was able to my whistle, and Momo is top of him as well.
"Hey Appa, I missed you but right now we need you to take us to Omashu," I said urgently. All three of us got on Appa.
"You know that I could make us travel to the shadows instead. By the way, Appa said that he doesn't mind taking us, but he wants to take a break from being your main mode of transportation" Hei said in an amused tone. Hei can talk to animals, I guess that's a part of being the Spirt Ruler. Maybe Hei's right about giving Appa a break from moving us around, but right now we need Appa, and I don't want to know what traveling in the shadows is like. Bumi, we are coming to save you.
Long Feng PoV
I can't wait to conquer Omashu and execute their precious king in front of them. I manage what I should call my new empire, it will be called the Long Empire of the Feng Dynasty. If there are people who laugh at these names, they will be dead.
"Master, we have finally arrived at Omashu, should I bring in the citizens to the execution site?" Azim said in an obedient tone.
"I have decided to make the execution site in the mail chutes. I want that miscreant water tribe boy and the Beifongs to witness the execution of Bumi." I said in an assertive tone.
"Master, we have lost the boy," Azim said fearfully
"What? How? He was asleep. How can you lose a water tribe boy that easily? Get me the agent who was watching him." I said in an angry tone. I can't believe that my agents fail me. I can't believe that I have to waste my time making an example of those who fail me. I mean how a boy can even escape the Dai Lee. I train my agents to be infallible, I can't have this boy make a mockery of my agents.
Azim brought Maing as I got off the cart. So, it was Maing who has failed to keep the boy in check. "So, it was you who fails me. You have a simple job and you messed it up. Now, any last words" I said as I prepare to shoot rock gloves to crush his impertinent head.
"The boy has this horrible accent about being some super villain from theater and he manages to make my hands grab the key and opened the door. This is no ordinary boy." Maing said cautiously.
"I don't believe that now die," I said as the rock glove crushes Maing head. Azim looks on horrified at what I did. Good, let him watch and give word to the other agents for those who fail me.
I walk towards the mail chutes while Omashu residents look on to me. They were in awe when I have my agents carry Bumi to the carts.
"Well well well… Look at you the once-powerful King Bumi of Omashu. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Behold my pathetic peasants the fall of your former kingdom. For centuries Omashu was impenetrable, not assimilated to the Earth Kingdom, but today marks the end of an era and also the birth of a glorious new age. A New World Order in which I Long Feng The Great shall overthrow the old system of The Earth Kingdom, the systems of the monarchy, the systems of oppression, no longer shall we as earthbenders be hidden in the shadows, but we shall shine as bright as the morning star itself. I will personally decree 10,000 Dai Lee agents to storm the Fire Nation Capitol and bring the very foundation of their empire crumbling down. The water tribe shall feel my wrath, I will personally cleanse these primitive savages from the four corners of the Earth. The Avatar will fall by my hands and my hands alone I will make sure that this boy will experience the brutal agony of death twice by the body and by spirit. The House of the Beifongs shall look upon the demise of King Bumi and weep sorrowfully for they know that their time is nigh. I will see to it that the Beifong dynasty comes to a bitter end as they shall be purged from eldest to youngest, Toph Beifong will fall upon her demise. Soon my pitiful plebeians the world will bow before a new dynasty the great Feng Dynasty All Hail Long Feng!" as I declare triumphantly with my fist in the air while the citizens look on in fear.
"Bring in the Beifongs!" I shout with an affirmative voice. The Dai Lee agents bring forward a cage containing Poppy and Lao Beifong. The looks upon their faces are sheer terror and utter confusion.
"You two will face a gruesome and horrible death for the crimes you committed against your new overlord! How dare you birth such a disgusting creature." I say in an agitated tone. I look down upon both of them in disgust as I gather a massive amount of spittle in my mouth. I spit in their faces as a sign of how I view the former aristocratic family of the Earth Kingdom.
"I have a better idea! Why don't we make a spectacle for all of our 'guests' here today? Two for the price of one I suppose for every meal comes with an appetizer before the main course." I say with a rather diabolical voice.
"I will start with Lao. Since you singlehandedly formed that abomination that thwarted my plans of conquering Ba Sing Se I will make sure that you will never do that again. I will take away your manhood by crushing your testicles with a massive boulder then I will melt your flesh with molten lava. Poppy is next she will suffer a terrible death of being filled with glass as her skin is cut asunder into a million pieces." I said passionately.
The crowd sits there in total astonishment as they fear for their pathetic lives. They don't know whether they should scream or piss themselves.
"What are you imbeciles doing? Your benevolent and kind overlord provides for you and execution of the ages, and you sit there with no reaction!? How about a round of applause you ungrateful leeches!?" I say in a condescending tone.
The peasants slowly start to clap and cheer as they rightfully acknowledge their new supreme overlord. This is the way of the Feng Dynasty by implementing order by fear.
Lao Beifong comes before me slowly walking out from his cage like the dirty animal he is. I remove his shackles and force him to kneel before me.
"You think this is a joke, don't you? Does your daughter claim to be the greatest earthbender in the world? What lies! The greatest earthbender stands before you in all of his magnificence!"
The former glorious rich man looks down in disgrace refusing to even open his eyes before the master of his fate.
"Answer me! Do you choose to admit the truth and acknowledge I, Long Feng The Great as the greatest earthbender of all time or will you choose to rely on the fairytales of your daughter being the greatest?"
The defeated man lays with iron cuffs holding him to the ground. Hand and foot bound and impossible to escape from.
"My daughter is the best bender there ever is. You will never defeat her in battle you monster!" Lao Beifong yells in a proud defiant tone. "I did everything to protect her from devils like you. I even went as far as to hire two mercenaries to track her down and bring her home safely!"
The part about mercenaries catches my attention. I snicker at the very thought "Very well then have it your way."
I levitate a massive boulder the size of a small cottage over the lower half of his body. I then thrust the rock at full speed descending from the air. Lao Beifong stood no chance even in the moments before his death he protested his superior and questioned my order.
The crowds' reactions were mixed between blood-curdling screams and whaling cries of grief. The citizens shielded their eyes from the castration of the former noblemen of the Earth Kingdom.
"I Long Feng The Great deny you from this world and now even the world denies you from living within it." The Earth shakes as I split the ground in two. The great chasm beneath opens its mouth for a once-prominent aristocrat and greats him with lava and flames.
"Lao Beifong is dead. Now as for you Poppy I would be more than happy to reunite you with your husband." I tell her but the new widow is bawling her eyes out.
Poppy Beifong sobs into her hands as she questions why this happening to her family. "You vile excuse of a human being. You murdered my husband I will never bow before you!"
I laugh as if it was a witty joke. "Bow? I don't wish you to bow, I wish for you to die."
I summon all of the glass from the windows of the townhouses as I form all of the glass into one gargantuan spear of pure destruction. "Goodbye Poppy," I say as I give a slight grin.
The spear pierces through Poppy's face impaling her causing a massive hole to rip through her skull.
"Well… The Beifong's are no more! Only that little brat remains, and I will soon squash her like the pathetic insect she is!" I say confidently
All that remains is the former king Bumi. This death will be legendary.
"Have you enjoyed the show king? Was it quite exciting?" I say curiously
"You're a murderer Long Feng. You fail to realize that power corrupts, you have so much authority and yet you don't know what to do with it except gain more power. There will be a day when your reign of terror will come to an end. Someone stronger than I will put an end to you once and for all. Your days are numbered." He says with such a calm demeanor.
I stare into the void of his eyes as I hover over him. "Unfortunately, this is your last day."
I then bring forth the cart at maximum speed going down hills carrying momentum. The cart meets Bumi and collides into his body at full force resulting in Bumi's scattered remains.
Suddenly three people appear amid the crowd and a shocked reaction ensues from the peasants.
"How dare you fools interrupt my day of coronation as the overlord of the Earth Empire. Who do you think you are?" I say as fury blinds my thoughts.
"You murdered my best friend. Now you will pay the ultimate price!" as they removed their clocks.
"The Avatar!?" I said surprised that he arrived at Omashu so fast.
"You will never take over this city. You will pay dearly for all the murders you have committed." As the Avatar's eyes and arrow glow blue when angered.
"Every murder you have caused cries from beyond the grave. I am the answer to their prayers I will avenge them today!"
"Kick his ass Aang." The blind miscreant declares. Foolish Beifong, soon she will be dealt with once the Avatar is out of the picture.
However, the other one. I don't remember this one at Ba Sing Se this one is far different compared to the other brats.
"What on Earth are you supposed to be?" I ask somewhat terrified. My being is disturbed around this unknown figure's presence, why is that?
"You'll soon find out." The unusual adolescent said in a soothing voice.
"Aang! Let me lend a hand. This bastard murdered my parents. Fighting him one on one is what he wants, but if we fight him together, then we can defeat him." The blind girl said in a voice of grief and rage for what I've done to her pathetic parents
"Your right, Let's defeat him together," The Avatar said in a wrathful tone.
