Chapter 16: Long Feng's Assault

Long Feng PoV

"What is this? What tremendous power!" I shout as the young Avatar's arrows suddenly glow neon blue.

"You will pay for all the crimes you have committed against the people of Omashu!" The Avatar shouts in a mighty authoritative tone.

"No! This city will no longer be called Omashu. I will call it Fengopolis the great city of the Great Long Feng!" I say as I pump my fist to the air with sheer force like the god I am.

"Hei get all the citizens of Omashu to safety. We'll deal with Long Feng." The foolish child shouts at that mysterious creature with green eyes.

"I got it." The boy who is called Hei says in a calm demeanor.

"I don't think so. Not one of you will be leaving my new city alive today." I say in a confident tone. I point to Azim and the surrounding Dai Li agents.

"You, men! Attack the boy and have him arrested for treason against my awesome empire." I said in an authoritative tone.

The Dai Li agents sit there with white faces almost as if they had seen a ghost. Their petrified reaction to that worthless child seems to have stunned them.

"Are you men deaf? I said arrest him now!" I repeat again as I point to the adolescent miscreant.

Azim then steps forward seaming to represent the entire host. He seems shaken and mutters with a weakened voice

"S-Sire… That's no average boy…" Azim says with his eyes looking as if he had stared death straight in the face.

"Very well, I suppose if you want a child murdered you're just going to have to do it yourse-"

I pause as I realize that the child in question and all of the civilians seemed to have vanished in thin air.

"You worthless Dai Li agents! You were supposed to be watching the boy making sure he wouldn't try escaping from me!" I say as I am absolutely irritated Azim and his band of useless men.

"I'm sorry your greatness but he disappeared in seconds. We didn't even blink before he was gone." Azim reasons seemingly begging for his pathetic life to be sparred. Very well, I'll let him live for now, but he truly is testing my patience.

I face the Avatar as our eyes lock together. I feel my power rising as my body can hardly contain all of the dark spirit of Pan. I feel claws emerge forth from nails, my ears become erect and straightened like a wolf bat's, my skin develops hair like a beast of the field, and I am fully covered in fur. This is what I have desired a connection to the Earth itself, this isn't evil this is power!

"W-What have you become!?" The foolish boy states in utter confusion. Moments before my epic transformation even the blind girl feels the Earth trembling before her.

"This… insolent children are the power that monarchs have craved for centuries yet have all come short. I will tell you plainly, I sold my soul to the elusive spirit of greed Pan. All of the immense power you see before you were a trade, and the price of my never-ending strength was my former soul. I am above all living, Surely, I am the god of this world, all knees shall bow before Long Feng the Great, the firstborn of The Feng Dynasty, and the destroyer of kingdoms.

"Uhhh… One slight problem Small Feng of The Pathetic. Dynasties are families and last I checked you're like forty years old and you have no children. Not to mention no sane woman would ever marry a disgusting hairball beast like you!" The blind delinquent said in a snarky tone. Even though she annoys me deep down inside I know she is right.

"Soon my pathetic Toph Beifong, soon women will be begging to become my wife, all of the Earth Kingdom women will be mine. I will obtain a harem of thousands of beautiful women. No lady can truly resist the Long Feng."

Both the Avatar and the Blind Hooligan seem to be disgusted at the thought of me getting the ladies, just because I look like a wretched beast doesn't mean I'm a bad guy.

"Enough talk! I'm going to put a stop to you once and for all. This is for the Beifongs, this is for the Earth King Kuei, and this is for my best friend Bumi!"

The Avatar then shoots a duel set of flames from both of his arms I block them effortlessly with a wall of solid rock.

"Incompetent Boy! You genuinely thought you could trifle against me? Long Feng the Great! I will rip out your flesh rendering you to nothing, but a useless pile of fle- "immediately I am struck with a giant boulder to the back of my head. The culprit none other than the last remaining Beifong.

"Man… Will you ever shut up? Cut the talk and pick up a rock." The girl proclaims defiantly, her arms covered in a dual set of matching rock gloves.

I have become so infuriated by these two pitiful worms just who do they think they are? Going against my New Order I refuse to let this trash exist in my world.

I charge at the boy full force not holding anything back. Each second, I feel my thoughts, my intelligence, even my very character fading away for the greater purpose of power. The absolute purpose of my life has been revealed to have nothing less than more power.

The Avatar tries to lift up an Earth wall as a source of shield to prevent the impact unfortunately I'm faster than he is and deliver a blow to his chest.

The Avatar receives my punch at full force and groans in agonizing pain. He then grabs my hand in an instant and flips me over his back hurtling me to the ground causing a massive crater to emerge underneath my body.

I laugh as I lay in the dirt. He is powerful but now I know that I can bring him down myself.

"You're quite the fighter Avatar Aang! This is our first encounter, is it not? Unfortunately, there will be no rematch for the loser, and I intend to walk out of here victorious today."

Immediately I cause the ground to suck me beneath itself and hide amid the deeper regions of the Earth.

"Where are you? I know that you're still here. Listen, if you surrender now, I won't resort to violence." The naïve little brad says as if he has any authority over me at all.

I proceed to rise up from the Earth in a stealth-like fashion and grab hold of the Avatar's neck with my enormous arm. I can hear him choking as I see his eyes fade from a neon blue to his average gray eyes. His power is fading while mine is rising.

"L-Let go of me you monster." The Avatar says as if I would show any sort of mercy to this reckless lawbreaker. I know that if I let him escape from here alive, he will become stronger and revolt against my empire with that strange entity.

I notice that massive sore on his back it looks like a battle wound. I proceed to stomp on it with all my might putting him under my power.

The Avatar's eyes completely shut as his strength seems to have come to an end.

"Leave him alone you bastard!" The hopeless little girl cried out with tears in her eyes. This is worth savoring first she loses her parents, her only source of salvation, then finally I will take her own life!

"You have no chance of saving him! All of you are doomed to-

Just then I was trapped my body was covered in metal bars. How can this stupid child perform such an incredible act? Metal should only be bent by the elites of Earth benders, and yet this child thinks she ranks amongst the best? I don't think so!

"Where did you find metal around here?" I say curiously yet still not scared.

"The Fire Nation once conquered this city. Now some crazy wolf bat monster thinks he can come in here and take over? Yeah, right you're a damn joke, Small Feng!" Toph Beifong declares triumphantly as if she just used her trump card on me. Little does she know the massive amounts of knowledge that Pan has bestowed upon me. The main secret is metal bending.

"Oh no, whatever will I do." I cry in a sarcastic tone.

"If only I could break free from these strong metal bars… like this!" I say with a smile.

Just then I break all the metal bars that trap me and metal flies everywhere in small pieces, some even cut the little blind bandits face proving that she wasn't as untouchable as she thought.

"Toph you're hurt" The avatar boy cried out in dismay. He barely has enough energy to stand.

I can see blood spill forth from her cheeks it's as if she didn't even notice.

"Hey what's that awful smell? I say in a mocking tone

"Is that the smell of metal or that blood gushing from your face?" The blind girl looks so confused as terror now abides over her face.

"I've had enough of this tomfoolery. No more games you will die now!" I declare as I cackle like the god I am.

I then split my hands apart and cause a massive chasm to form from the ground beneath me. The boy is far too crippled, and the girl is petrified this is my moment to strike nobody can stop me!

Fresh lava boils below as the immense heat reaches my face. This will be the demise of the once-powerful Avatar and the Blind Bandit burnt up together in a flame.

The Avatar falls unconscious into the last remaining Beifong's arms. The weakened girl is frozen in a state of shock and utter defeat.

I summon forth the lava by opening up my hands as I condense all of the heat into one small fireball of both rock and magma.

"Any last words you impudent gnat? Speak now or forever hold your peace." I say as a cocky grin emerges on my face today, I have won. Who knows what greater destinies await tomorrow?

The blind girl sobs into her hands as she pitifully whimpers "I'm so- I'm sorry Aang. I really thought I could make a difference, guess I didn't"

I close my eyes as I cherish this moment. "Ahhh how precious. Goodbye children."

Instantly I hurl the million-degree fireball with maximum capacity straight at the little girl's head. There will be no heroes today, I have truly changed the world for the better.

The fireball explodes on impact and sends lava and debris everywhere even the surrounding houses of my new city are engulfed in flames burning down to nothing.

Certainly, that destroyed the two of them. Such a magnificent display of earth bending should have at least burned the two of them to a crisp.

I approach the crime scene expecting to hear whaling and great cries of pain. Surprisingly it's silent. Perhaps they were vaporized on impact? I'm shocked as I see there are not only two silhouettes in the flames but three?

"How? Who is that third person show yourself this instant!" I demand. Inwardly I am somewhat curious about this elaborate hoax.

"No thank you, we are just fine in here." The wicked entity proclaims. Surely this must be some sort of witchcraft.

"What are you? Demon, warlock, a spirit? Answer me!" I shout as I must know how it saved those two.

"Your pathetically small mind cannot fathom who or what I am. I will tell you this though. I am far too powerful to fight a useless wimp like you." It was that creature from before. He masquerades himself as a human, but I know that he is a spirit.

The green eyes stare at me as if they pierce my very essence. This spirit is far different from the Avatar's calm nature. This thing is a freak of nature.

"You think this is over!? I refuse to give up even if those two runts escape here, I will track them down. My empire has just begun!" I scream at the air as spit flies out of my mouth.

"Look around you, Long Feng. This is what you've always wanted isn't it?" The spirit said.

"What're you talking about?" I say perplexed.

"This is what you desired. You have a kingdom, subjects to rule, even a fearing militia that will stand by you. Only… your Dai Li agents fled and now reside on the bottom of the mountain, all of your subjects were safely escorted away from you, and your amazing new city is now in flames and ruins. Terrific job Long Feng the Worst!"

"You dare mock me? I will murder you where you stand. Nobody mocks my name and lives to tell about it!" I say as my powerful voice echoes through an empty city.

The disgustingly rude creature looks at me with a slight grin and winks "I believe I just did."

Suddenly the three vanish from the flames as if they were never there at all. This must've been a joke? A cruel sick joke.

I then look behind me as I see my beautiful Fengopolis and realize that it's all been a failure. I suppose my best bet is to round up my Dai Li agents and head towards Ba Sing Se, perhaps I will recruit more Dai Li agents from Earth Kingdom towns. This is not the end rather this is just the beginning.

I slide myself towards the bottom of the mountain seeing a campsite of my Dai Li agents awaiting me. The fact that I have to look at them in the fact and admit defeat is just disgusting.

"Azim, Portemo, Xe assemble before me now!" I shout in a stern voice like the epic leader I am. I will appoint my three best Dai Li agents for this next mission

"Yes, Long Feng the Great. Why are pulling out of Omashu so soon?" Azim says in a confused tone.

I then point to the burning houses and pillars of smoke upon the mountaintop.

"See these men? This is what happens when you don't submit yourself to the Great Long Feng. Your city will be annihilated!" I declare as if today's incident was actually a success.

"Oh yes, Sire! We see now. We respect your power entirely." Xe said in a humble voice.

"Men I am sending you three on a search and rescue mission. Find the whereabouts of the two called Xin Fu and Yu. I need them for a special assignment." I say as a godly grin emerges on my face. I have a brilliant plan.

"But master, what about the Water Tribe boy?" said Portemo

"Yes, bring him to me alive. I have some questions that I need answers to."

With my agents and my new power of mass destruction, this world will soon be mine.

Sokka PoV

You would have thought that Jet is alive and well, and now he's sleeping on the guest houses in Kyoshi Island. Suki looks so adorable when she's cuddling with me and sleeping with me. I'm glad Suki is ok with Jet spending some nights at Kyoshi Island despite his rough history. I wonder how the Gaang reacts to the news that Jet survives Lake Laogai and that he escapes from Long Feng. I don't understand how Jet manage to survive and who healed him, however, the healer is? They must be better than Katara at it since not even she could have saved Jet. I probably should go to bed, and then I will ask Jet about these questions.

Mourning

"Yawww, that was a good night. I guess I should wake up Suki because she has her practice at around 8 Am and right now it's 7:30. Hey my sweet muffin, I'm going to give you a wake-up kiss" As I was about to give a kiss to Suki's forehead, her fist connect to my chin.

"Suki, relax I'm not an enemy. You must have been dreaming about the war, I get those dreams as well". I said in a comforting tone.

"Sorry Sokka, I didn't mean to punch you. I was dreaming about the time when we escape the Boiling Rock and how we had to fight off both Azula and Ty Lee off the gondola. Those are some crazy times, and we were kids at war. All of us, I guess that's why I didn't mind Ty Lee joining our warriors because she was very sincere about making up for helping Azula out. Heck, even Zuko manages to turn into a new leaf when he helps you guys out with ending the war and defeating Azula. I don't get what Zuko sees in Mai because she doesn't seem remorseful at all, but that just me." Suki said in a vulnerable, sad tone. I guess Suki is still feeling the effects of the war.

I guess the war really has scarred each of us out, we need to make sure that the next generation doesn't suffer a war as we have. Aang, Katara, Zuko, Suki, and I have huge responsibilities for restoring balance to the world. I don't know how Toph will contribute because she might just want a break from all this complicated mess and I don't blame her. I still can't even figure out how to break with my dad about marrying Suki even though I still want to be chief of the water tribe. I guess we all need to figure out how to move on from the war.

"Yeah, the whole escape from the most secure Fire Nation prison was crazy, but I'm grateful that I managed to get you and my father back. Suki, we can get through this together, we just need to find the way to process all of this. I will always be there for you Suki, but I probably should not do wake-up kisses if you don't want me to." I said in a comforting tone. I really hate what this war has done to us.

"No keep doing them, I promise you not going to get a punch in the face. Thank you for being the sweetest boyfriend for me. You know, let me heal your chin by kissing you." Suki said flirty while she kisses me on the lips.

"Ahem, so Sokka you actually manage to get a girlfriend. I thought you are too dorky to even get a girlfriend." Jet said mockingly as he walks in on Suki and I kiss session.

"Be quiet, anyway I catch up with you Suki. I need to talk to our dear 'guest' about the war and how it ends." I said in an annoyed tone. Man, I can't believe that Jet ruined our moment. I will get him back for this. Suki went to the training grounds and start teaching the little girls.

"Yeah, I do think we need to talk Sokka. I know you had a bunch of questions." Jet said cautiously

"More like 1 billion, but yeah you were close," I said snarky, I still got my humor.

"Anyway, I was healed by a shadowy figure who has similar air nomads features like Aang. I think the figure is actually a spirit, and he told me to continue saving war orphans. I guess the war is over. I heard that the new Firelord is friends with you guys." Jet said questions.

"Zuko really helped us out, yeah he started as a flaming jerk like you, but we really wanted to make up for what his country did to us. Aang managed to beat his wacko father and put him in a cell, while Zuko beat his wackjob sister and now she has gone insane from the humiliation. All of us are forced to do things we don't want to do, but we manage to end the war. All we can do is repair this broken world and just keep moving forward. There are so many problems that need to be resolved if we don't want another war. Anyway, what do you mean by some 'shadowy' spirit that looks like Aang who prevents you from dying? Maybe we need to tell Suki about that spirit, Kyoshi got to leave some information about spirits since she was the Avatar. Looks like we need to call for this spirit shenanigans. Jet, we can't trust spirits, they always want something in return." I said cautiously, Man now we have to worry about spirits.

"I don't think that spirit is evil, It's dark and mysterious, but not evil. I don't know about the Fire Nation as well, your pal Zuko might go back on his word. Strangely enough, he looks like that Fire Nation refugee Lee who was traveling with his grandfather or something. I guess Sokka, we can't be certain with our allies." Jet said uncertainly. Right I forgot, Jet was a very bad history with the Fire Nation for what they did to his family. You would have thought that Jet actually find fire nation refugees in Ba Sing Se, wow Jet has a deal with weird situations while we have been fighting Ozai.

"Zuko is not his family, he will never restart a war. He has morals compared to his messed-up family. Look Jet, just be careful with spirits. By the way, where are the rest of your group?" I said questioningly

"They decided to hang with this overly excited and hyper Kyoshi warrior, who calls herself Ty Lee." Jet said. Who would have thought that the Freedom Fighters like Ty Lee, I wonder how they going to react to her being a part of the Fire Nation and taking over Ba Sing Se.

"Once Suki is done with teaching, we can have Suki look into that spirit you mentioned. The Kyoshi Warriors are very friendly people as long as you don't try to burn down the island, then you will be fine. Ty Lee was once part of the Fire Nation, but she has proven to be reliable and loyal to Suki. Please don't try to kill her, she's not even a fire bender." I said cautiously, I really don't want Jet to go on a rampage.

"I take your word for it Sokka, I'm not the same extremist that was willing to drown a village. I want to be better; it really is hard for me to forgive the Fire Nation for what they did to us. For now, I just want to make up for what I did to you and to Katara." Jet said ramosely.

"You still are doing a good job, I'm glad that you are not dead. We can really use the Freedom Fighters' help now that we try to restore balance. Let's walk to my wonderful girlfriend and future wife as she is done" I said in a lovey-dovey voice as we walk towards the training grounds.

"I still can't believe you got a girlfriend." Jet said as he was laughing.

"Oh be quiet, I was very lucky to find the most awesome, most beautiful, adorable, strong woman as my future wife," I said in a smile.
