Agrabah

Edge

The people of Agrabah all had come out of their homes lining the streets like in a concert. Old and young, rich and poor. People of all types and backgrounds looked up laying their eyes on the screens floating in the sky. They were listening to the Genie narrating the fights all at once.

In the town square Jameelah and her harem girls had driven the heartless out of the square. Though most left to assist in capturing the keyhole. After the enemy's numbers dwindled the girls gathered together and stared up at the screen watching their allies fight their enemies.

Adiba walked over to Jameelah asking with vigorous motivation. "My Lady, what do you want us to do?"

The old woman put her sword away smiling. She stepped forward turning around facing her girls. She spoke out sternly, "Go out into the streets of Agrabah where the people stand. Spread out through the city to reach as many as possible. And when you find them call out and command the people to cheer on the hero Sora and curse the tyrant Jafar. Get the people of this proud city to side with the wielder of the keyblade. Make them cheer his name to remind him who's side we're on. A new era of this world is dawning, and these strangers of the desert will open the door for us. But we must walk through it ourselves. Now go."

"My lady," Nura said putting her knife away. They all bowed their heads in respect before spreading out in different directions.

Jameelah was suddenly left alone in the square. She limped over to the fountain which was now a bit ruffed up. Stone fragments had been chipped away due to age. But water still poured from its stone foundries. Jameelah sat down as her legs had nearly worn down. Her skin was wrinkled and worn. Her old bones made her ache. She was glad to sit down after everything. Looking down at the clear water in the fountain. "I'm not as young as I used to be. It always comes sooner or later," she thought as her old body relaxed after the fighting. "It's time for me and my generation to pass the torch on to a new one. Right Jasmine." She looked up at the screen watching the fights continue.

On the screen to the far right Goofy and Kurt continued to duke it out in the courtyard. Kurt tried several times to overwhelm Goofy with his swords. But Goofy persisted using his shield to block every slash sent his way. Kurt quipped to his opponent, "You know I didn't expect much of a fight from a guy named Goofy. A big stupid who knows what is actually putting up a fight. You look so serious despite your well goofy appearance. You've haven't staggered once since we started battling. Me on the other hand. I'm getting pretty adjugated by this."

Goofy gave a serious glare before speaking back. "You know, you really need to keep your mouth shut."

Goofy maneuvered his body between Kurt's swords thrusting them at the guardian. He turned his body to the side holding his shield up to his face. He got near Kurt and thrusted his arm at him. He slammed his shield like a metal plate directly in Kurt's face. "You made an opening," Goofy said dead serious.

His shielded slammed into the scared man's face hitting him right on the cheek. "Aguggged," Kurt yelped.

Kurt mutter as his face retracted from the hit. He dropped one of his swords as his feet lost balance. He collapsed hard right on his side. Goofy steeped back not having any need to continue. "Hmph," he said bringing his shield back to his side.

Kurt growled scrambling to get up. He quickly grabbed his other sword and got onto his feet. He turned to Goofy crouching with a disturbed and frustrated face. Kurt then smirked, "Lucky shot. You won't get another."

Goofy shook his head, "No you see. That's not gonna happen. We will win. Either way no matter the obstacle."

Kurt stood up straight asking, "What do you mean by that? You honestly think we can be defeated. We are the most powerful forces in all the world. And you think you have an edge against us?"

Goofy raised his hand to his ear speaking, "Shsh, do you hear it?"

Kurt cocked an eyebrow, "Hear what?" The two went quiet. Kurt actually could hear faint noises coming from all around the city. "What is? Is that cheering?" he said confused.

Outside on the streets of Agrabah crowds of people filed the plaza facing the Palace. They stood proudly and shouted as loudly as they could. In every district, the people of Agrabah shouted out loud, "SORA! SORA! SORA!" over and over again.

The audience was aroused by the harem girls who all spread out and uplifted the people. Nura was in the 1st district standing on a giant crate encouraging the people as much as she could. "Scream out loud. Curse Jafar. Our Sultan who hates his own country. His own people. He brought these demons to our world. Now it's time to tell him enough is enough. Shout to the Palace walls. To the hero of the desert and his allies. He has come to save us in our time of need. He will defeat Jafar and restore Agrabah to its rightful glory. Now scream out to the hero. Remind him who's side we are on. Come out and scream his name. SORA!"

In all the districts the other harem girls gave similar speeches causing the people to side with Sora against Jafar. They shouted up causing the Genie to also take part in the moment. He took a microphone and shouted to the people, "Scream his name as loud as possible. The boy that will defeat Jafar once and for all. Sora! Sora! Sora!"

On the top floor of the Palace where Jafar held Jasmine. The old tyrant stepped back when Sora jumped through the hole in the ground like a spring popping high in the air. He landed on his bare feet hitting the marble floor. His white cape and hood covered his half naked body. He had his keyblade in his right hand looking at Jafar with such contempt. Jafar lifted Jasmine from his shoulder throwing her away. She hit the ground sliding to the other end of the room. "I know now that if I am to be free of this shackle of a world. I must be rid of all who stand in my way. I will kill you and all your friends so that I can finally be free." Jafar spoke with vigor lifting his staff with its eyes glowing.

Sora looked at Jafar with utter astonishment, "Freedom from this world. That's the reason. All the things you did. Locking Jasmine away from the world. Taking the throne. Hurting the people of Agrabah. You did all this because you wanted to be free?"

Jafar nodded, "This is a sad and dying world that has no chance of survival. In 1 or 2 centuries this world will cease to exist. The people and culture will slowly die from living in these harsh conditions. You noticed it when you arrived on this world didn't you. On that little gummy ship of yours. Seeing this bare wasteland, we call home. You disliked it Sora. I know you did. The moment you stepped foot on the sands."

Sora's eyes popped open, "Gummi ship? You, how did you?"

Jafar giggled, "Believe it or not you're not the only one who abandoned his boring home world for the great beyond. Just like me you tried to escape those no-good boring islands you called home. And when the heartless took it you finally achieved your long-term goal. That's what I'm trying to do. We-"

Sora stepped forward angrily, "How do you know that?"

Jasmine could hear them bicker as she struggled to get up, "Other worlds. Sora?"

Jafar smiled enjoying getting under Sora's skin. "Maleficent has been watching you ever since you arrived in Traverse Town. You the boy who wields the most powerful weapon of all time."

Sora slammed his foot on the ground, "You work for Maleficent. That's how you control the heartless."

Jafar raised his arm and made a fist, "Yes, she is the one who opened my eyes to the power of darkness. But unfortunately, we made the mistake of underestimating you. After failing to save the other Princess on that other world. Oh, what's her name. The little blonde one."

Sora's hair rose hearing Jafar speak, "Alice. Are you talking about Alice?" Jafar rolled his finger around his twisted beard. "Aw yes Alice that was her name. We are the ones taking care of her at the moment. You see both her and Jasmine are essential to our plans. The Princesses of Heart. 2 of 7 that hold the key to opening the door."

Jafar tilted his head looking to Jasmine with grim eyes, "This simple attribute is the only reason I need her alive. And since now my duty is done. I'll take her to Maleficent reuniting Jasmine with her sisters. Right before this world falls to the darkness. Just like that jungle world you failed to protect," Jafar said smug to Sora.

Sora shouted loudly, "Shut up. I couldn't help them."

Jafar grinned at Sora, "That's the point. If you couldn't save them then. How in the world can you hope to save both this place and the Princess now?" Sora gritted his teeth. He clenched his fist. The room fell silent.

Sora puzzling to find an answer. "No, he can't be right," he thought. Soon a faint sound began to grow reaching Sora's ear.

"What's that?" said Jafar hearing the sounds of cheering.

"It sounds like their saying Sora," Jasmine said hearing it.

The young Keyblade wielder heard it too realizing what it was. "It's Agrabah," Sora said humbly.

Jafar took his staff and used magic to blast a hole in the wall giving them a view of the city. Light had shined through the clouds revealing a bright sky over Agrabah. "Who's shouting?" Jafar said demanding an answer. He levitated over to look out to the streets below seeing thousands of people crowded around the Palace walls. They all were screaming Sora's name as loudly as they could. "Vile rats. They have no idea what's coming," Jafar ached.

Jasmine looked astonished. "The people have come to support us," she said to Jafar.

Hearing the cheers of the people caused Sora to let out a big grin. He spoke to Jafar with much vigor. He took his keyblade and got into his fighting stance. Jafar turned around to Sora who spoke. "I am going to beat you. I will save this world no matter what because I'm not alone. While you are. That's what gives me an edge."
