"Brrr why is it so cold all of a sudden? Ice Dick! Did you cast a spell or something?" a young, pink haired dragon slayer asked/yelled.
Gray, who had been called 'Ice Dick', looked at Cana. "He's back!"
Initially when Guildarts came back with the news that Jack had passed his S Call exam everyone was happy, but when it was said he wouldn't come back for a while, Gray was beyond upset. It wasn't until later that he realised what Jack was doing and somewhat forgave him.
Natsu, the pink haired mage, looked at Cana and Gray. "Hey! Don't ignore me! Who's back?"
"You'll see Flame Brain" Gray said with a smirk.
"Is he strong?" Natsu asked, eager to find out who this person was. A small blue cat crawled out of his scarf. "Does he have fish?"
"I too am intrigued as to who this person is" A scarlet haired mage, also know as Erza asked, she sat behind Natsu.
From behind Erza, three siblings sat, wanting to know who this person was.
The door opened as a cool breeze blew into the guild hall. Out of the light stepped Jack Frost, taller than anyone had last seen him. Wearing an all-black, high-necked jacket, matching black pants and dress shoes.
His blue eyes and snow-white hair almost shining. He looked around the guild and smiled. "Yo!"
"WELCOME BACK JACK!" everyone that knew him shouted as the room returned to normal temperature.
Natsu looked at the man with confusion, what was the big deal about this guy? Sure he was tall but what else was special about him? Mira, Elfman and Lisanna all had blue eyes and white hair, he wasn't so special.
Erza looked at Jack as a blush formed on her cheeks. She knew that this man would probably be sought after everywhere because of his looks. She allowed herself to dreamily sigh while staring at this handsome stranger.
"What's this? Tin-can has a crush?" A white-haired girl, with similar features to Jack shouted, getting the attention of everyone, and making Erza's face even more red than her hair.
"Shut up you bony bastard!" Erza yelled jumping over to the girl and punching her in the face.
"Oh it's on!" Mirajane yelled back punching Erza.
"You lied to me Icicle eyes! This guy ain't that special!" Natsu yelled, pointing at Gray.
"Watch what you say about Jack, flame nuts!" Gray shouted, charging at Natsu.
Jack smiled, it was good that this part of the guild never changed, even with the addition of characters like Erza, Mirajane and Natsu.
He walked towards the bar where Makarov was sitting and sat next to the old man, displaying the Wizard Saint logo on his back to the entire guild. But they were too busy beginning a brawl to notice.
"How goes it old man?" Jack asked as he summoned a big bag with his requip. The sound of coins hitting each other reached Makarov's ears and made him smile.
"Better now my boy" Makarov replied as Jack made a cup out of ice. The guild master pulled a bottle of liquor down and poured it into his cup.
"Where's Laxus?" Jack asked as he took a sip, ice cold beer, just how he liked it.
"He's out on a job with his friends… he'll be back before the S Class trials" Makarov explained as he took a sip of his own drink.
Jack hummed as a fork flew though his head, unaffecting him because of his elemental body. "So there are enough candidates for S Class now that you're doing a whole exam?"
"Yes… you want to do the honours?" Makarov asked earning a smile from Jack, but he shook his head.
"That's the role of the guild master after all"
"Cheeky brat" Makarov chuckled as he put down his drink. He stood up and readied his titan magic in case things got out of hand. "ENOUGH!"
A single word was enough for everyone to stop what they were doing. They looked at the master as he turned around and sat back down. Silence ensued.
"Oh, that's right… Gray I promised you something didn't I?" Jack remembered as he stood up and went behind the bar, pulling out a plastic cup and cola flavouring as Gray walked over to the bar.
Chatter resumed in the bar as Erza and Natsu went out to check on what Jack promised Gray, both having different motives.
"It's been a while since I made one so bear with me" Jack said as he made a plain slushy mix appear in the cup appear. He added cola flavouring and made the ice mix with it. Handing the cup to Gray he smiled. "Sorry it took so long"
"This is all a slushy is? A slurpee but with a different name?" Gray asked, disappointed. "Cana makes these all the time, one of her creations"
"Hey! I never said it was my creation! It was Jack who showed it to me!" Cana shouted from across the room.
"Cana! Come over here!" Jack shouted as he grabbed another cup. "I'll make you one too!"
"Okay!" she shouted, running across the guild hall to meet up with Jack.
Gray sipped at the slushy and smiled. "Don't tell Cana but this is way better than hers"
Jack nodded as Natsu and Erza took a seat at the bar. He smiled and leant over to talk to them.
"So what are your names?" Jack asked causing Natsu to grin and Erza to blush slightly due to his closeness.
"Natsu Dragneel!" he shouted with pride as Jack filled another cup with slushy ice.
"Woah you're full of fire aren't ya?" Jack noted aloud as Natsu showed that he was exactly full of fire, by breathing out fire.
"Ooh Dragon Slayer Magic… don't see that often" Jack observed aloud as he grabbed some raspberry flavouring and poured it into the up then stirring it while using his magic.
"Yeah, I was taught by Igneel!" Natsu boasted as Cana joined them at the bar with a blue haired mage. Jack slid over the slushy to Cana as he looked at the red haired and faced Erza.
"I'm Erza Scarlet, and you are?" she asked, her manners making Jack smile.
Looking directly into her eyes, Jack could tell that one was artificial, only due to the difference in magical levels between each eye, not that it bothered him. He sent her a smile and introduced himself "My name is Jack Frost; I like the colour of your hair"
"T-Thanks" she said, blushing.
Jack then looked at Cana and her blue haired friend. "This is Levy McGarden"
Jack nodded and waved at the blue haired girl. "Hey Levy!"
"Now I got you and Gray Presents! I have more goodies, but I don't know what you all like… so you're going to have to pick and choose which one you want" Jack explained as he summoned another bag using requip.
"For Gray… a guide on how to make ice summons" Jack said, handing his little black haired junior a blue book.
Jack pulled out a box and threw it to Cana. "For Cana… an Iceberg exclusive card set"
He then placed a bag on the table and dispelled it, letting everything else fall onto the counter. "And well you can pick whatever you want, Erza, Levy and the three mini-me's that are listening in on the conversation"
Levy saw a book and grabbed it. She read the title out "Iceberg: A history! X778 version"
Erza looked at the pile and grabbed what seemed to be a figure made from wax.
"A wax figure of me for Erza!" Jack said with a smile as the three white haired mini-me's of him came to the gift pile.
The oldest, who he knew was Mirajane looked at him with a glare. "Don't think you're special or anything because you're giving me a gift!"
Jack laughed as Mira grabbed an ice blue ribbon, which had gold pictures embroiled on it.
"Thank you!" the male, Elfman, said before he grabbed a set icy looking chopsticks.
The smallest grabbed a plush toy, it was just a snowman. "Thank you!" she said before being dragged away by Mirajane.
"Are there any fish here?" a blue cat asked, who was standing next to the pile.
Jack looked at the cat and shook his head. "No fish buddy… uhh what's your name?"
"Happy!"
"Nice to meet you happy!"

Jack stood at the edge of Magnolia Lake and smiled, the entire surface was frozen, this was his doing.
"You've improved… Brother" Jack turned around to see Laxus, wearing the headphones Guildarts got him all those years ago. Yellow t-shirt and black pants.
Laxus smiled as the ice was absorbed into Jack. The snow haired teen grinned. "I assume you have too?"
"You're going to have to wait for the S Class exams… where I beat you and get S Class" Laxus explained turning around. "Put up a good fight, would you?"
"I assume that the old man is announcing the S Class exams to everyone" Jack said as he walked over to his electric blonde friend.
"Yes… I have some people that you will want to meet" Laxus stated as they started their journey to the guild. "I started a team, called it the Thunder God Tribe"
Jack smiled; it was good that Laxus had made other friends other than himself. "Ho? I find it impressive that you got some followers"
"Not as impressive as gaining the Title of Wizard Saint at the age of 15" Laxus stated, jealousy laced with his words.
Jack chuckled, how long had it been since he had a conversation with his oldest friend. "Well you know… I only accepted the title because I get a salary"
"True… you can afford a house now!" Laxus laughed, patting Jack on the back. "You don't have to sleep in the spare room anymore"
Jack nodded, he had amassed a fortune after completing the decade quest. "Yeah, I'm thinking of getting one for everyone, Gray and Cana and You… we can all live together"
The two entered the guild, everyone watching them, especially members of Laxus' group.
Laxus hummed in thought. "Unfortunately, I'm living with my squad at the moment… though I may pop in to steal some food from you"
Jack scoffed. "Broke ass"
"Okay Snow White"
"Battery Biter"
"Snow sniffer"
"Dumb blonde"
"Air head"
"I'll say it… don't push me Laxus"
"You wouldn't!"
"I-"
"SAY THAT WORD AND I'LL MAKE YOU DO THAT!" Makarov yelled from the second floor, causing everyone to freeze in place.
Jack bowed. "Sorry Sir! It won't happen again sir!"
Makarov grunted. "Hmph, get your ass up here Frost"
Jack nodded and went upstairs, leaning on the railing.
"As you all may or may not know… due to the increase of potential candidates in regard to the S Class mage ranking, Fairy Tail has scrapped the individual trails and made a new group trail that will be even harder than the individual!" Makarov said while nudging Jack, letting him know that he had to explain the next part.
Jack nodded, he cleared his throat, ready to give the speech that would start the S Class trials. "There will be a number of you chosen that The S Class believe are worthy to become one of them. As of today, there are Three of you that we believe can become S Class… Those three are Macao Cornbolt, Wakaba Mine and Laxus Dreyar!"
"The rules are simple, use any means necessary to find one of these Mystery Boxes!" Makarov announced as Jack grabbed a box and showed it to everyone.
"There are three total boxes… once you have found one, come meet me by the lake where I usually am" Jack explained as Makarov grinned and pulled out a race gun.
"You have one hint: The boxes are hidden in places that an S Class member of fairy tail has visited recently" The master explained before pulling the trigger and firing the start gun.
Macao and Wakaba scrambled out of the building while Laxus stood still, he had already figured out where one was, even before the hint was given to him.
Jack grinned as he walked down the stairs, he knew that Laxus knew.
"Jack! Can we watch?" Natsu asked as the younger wizard saint walked past him.
"Stay twenty metres away" Jack advised as he exited the Guildhall, Laxus following him.

"That task was piss easy" Laxus said with a scoff as he stared at his brother. "Those weaklings will never be S Class"
Jack sighed, he knew this change was coming. "Just because it might never happen… It doesn't mean you have to say it nor be rude about it"
"Let me guess, the next task is to fight you?" Laxus assumed as he started to pump out his magical aura. "That's predictable"
"That's one stage of it" Jack said with a sigh as he stored the box in his requip dimension.
The Wizard Saint released all of his mental barriers, letting everything within 20 metres to have a layer of frost settle on it. "Let's see if you can handle an S Class Aura, Laxus"
Electricity broke the ice that formed around Laxus. He charged at Jack using his lightning body.
'He's fast yes… but not fast enough'

Everyone watched with baited breath as Laxus charged at Jack.
To Makarov it looked like a normal battle. He had participated in faster paced ones that had more on the line, but that wasn't what the S Class trials where about. They were about seeing if people were ready to take that next step.
Laxus swung at Jack, a lighting trail following his fist. Jack moved around the fist with ease, moving his hand up to send a glacier of ice his way.
To Mirajane, the battle was scary. She had known that Laxus was leagues above her in terms of power, she was still recovering from the shock when she found out that the snow haired dude was a Wizard Saint! Just like their master! Yet as she watched the battle a drive awoke within her, the need to be on their level.
A seemingly endless stream of ice exited Jack's hand, creating a glacier at least 20 metres tall and an incredibly long length that was still expanding. Just dodging this attack, Laxus spun around and cocked his fist, ready to deliver a decisive blow.
To Erza, who was crushing on Jack, the battle was beautiful. She could see how they moved in detail, each movement had a specific purpose, as if this was a strategy game not a fist fight. The fact that Jack could match Laxus in power baffled her, not as much as his title as Wizard Saint though. It frightened but reassured her that you could get this powerful at this age, knowing that he was out there getting stronger, she too would become a monster like Laxus or Jack and find out why he turned.
Laxus noticed that there was a massive opening, he was behind Jack. Was this his limit? No Laxus was sure there was more. It made him angry that Jack would look down on him like that, he would show him!
Punching at full force and speed, drawing on the lacrima inside of him, Laxus pushed to end the fight.
To Natsu, Gray, Cana, Elfman and Lisana and the rest of the guild. The fight was fast, incredibly so. They couldn't even see how it was unfolding with their own eyes. It inspired them to work harder, to reach their level, to help everyone in the guild.
Laxus' eyes widened as in an instant he was blown back by a secondary ice wave. There was no opening to begin with.
Jack stood there as steam started to emit from him. He held out his hand as a katana was requipped into his hand. The hilt royal blue, the wrist guard in the shape of a snowflake and the blade white as snow.
"You are definitely S Class Laxus… but allow me to show you what you need to catch up to" Jack stated, shifting into an offensive stance. "Secret Art: Spiral"
Before Laxus could blink the water from the lake was directed towards him in the form of a speak. Laxus barely dodged as the water curled around him like a snake and continued upwards faster than he could move.
"Shit! How do I get out of here?" Laxus shouted as the water spiral started to constrict rapidly, touching his legs and arms.
Then it froze instantly. His arms and legs frozen, leaving his body and head untouched. He tried summoning lightning in his arms, but nothing would come out.
He had been utterly defeated.
'I'm still too weak!' Laxus groaned as the ice shattered, letting him move once more.
Jack smiled and turned around. "Laxus Dreyar passes the S Class exam!"
