"I'm sorry….can you say that again?" Rocket-Ash said confused

The girl responded confused, "Ummm my name is Ashley Ketchum?"

Rocket Ash responded sarcastically, "Yeah I got that, I just wanted to make sure I heard you right. My name is Ash, and that's Ash, and that's Ash, and that's Ash!" the girl flinched when the name Ash was mentioned.

"Hey", "Hi", "Alola," the other three Ashes said, as they all stood up

"The only person who calls me Ash is my boyfriend," The girl said confused

Adult Ash sighed and brushed the dirt off his clothes, "We probably need to talk."

Ashley looked really perplexed, "Yeah…I'm…I'm pretty confused."

Adult Ash tried to explain everything, "Alright, so I'm Ash from the future. And those three others are also Ash Ketchum. We're all variants of each other, some of us from the same timeline and some not. But uhh I guess you're the newest one. So welcome!"

Ashley looked even more confused, "Ummmm….can we sit down? You guys look hungry, let's get you some food."

Inside Ashley's house:

"Ok, I think I get it. You guys are time fugitives, and I'm just supposed to shelter you?"

Adult-Ash just shrugged, "I mean if it makes you feel better, you're an alternate universe version of us,

Ashley rolled her eyes, "No it does not make me feel better,"

Sinnoh-Ash tried making small talk "So Ashley, out of curiosity, do you battle?"

Ashley started laughing, "Oh, do I battle? Well, I guess a little….." Ashley pointed towards a picture on the wall of her holding a trophy next to Lance, and there was a second picture of Ashley sitting alongside Karen, Bruno, Will, and Lance.

"I worked as the final member of the Kanto Elite Four before quitting."

"Why'd you quit?" asked Rocket-Ash

Ashley sighed, "It just wasn't what I wanted. The high society life at the plateau gets old, all the modeling deals, the constant social media marketing, endless interviews, banquets, and galas. We hardly ever battle, and when we do I rarely ever got a challenger because the other 3 members of the Elite Four got dibs before me."

Alola-Ash looked shaken up, "Oh…. I mean it makes sense I suppose."

Adult-Ash asked, "So what do you do now?"

Ashley shrugged, "Oh, a bit of everything, some odd tournaments here when I feel like it, breeding some pokemon, maybe a speech at a trainers school when I feel like it. Money isn't really a worry for me anymore, considering how much I made working at the league."

Adult-Ash questioned her story, "Why out here in the wilderness? I get hating the plateau, trust me I had to spend a lot of time there. But I just moved to Pallet Town,"

Ashley nodded, "Valid point, but my boyfriend and I decided to get a house in the middle of nowhere to raise all the pokemon we own and enjoy a slower pace of life."

Sinnoh-Ash blurted out, "Do you wanna battle?"

Ashley smiled, "Sure! Let's head on back to the corrals! How's one on one sound?" Ashley ran towards the backdoor and excitedly opened a gate.

Sinnoh-Ash nodded and ran out with her.

The rest of the Ashes followed them, Alola-Ash looked at Adult-Ash, "Who's your money on?"

Adult-Ash shook his head, "Never underestimate a woman kiddo. She's gonna stomp him."

Rocket-Ash nodded, "He's also the youngest of the group, and therefore the most inexperienced."

Alola-Ash laughed, "I'm curious to see this."

Outside, there was a gravel battle arena. Surrounding it were massive corrals of different ecosystems that were filled with hundreds of different species of pokemon. A few Machokes and a Machamp stood with shovels by the side of the arena, ready to clean up the mess that would inevitably be made.

Ashley smiled, "Ready?"

Ash nodded, "Yep!"

"Mawile, I choose you!" Ashley yelled

"Garchomp, I choose you!" Sinnoh-Ash shouted

Mawile ran out from behind Ashley's feet, and Sinnoh-Ash noticed a keystone on a small ring on her finger.

"Alright Mawile, let's do this! Use swords dance!"

"Do the same Garchomp!"

"Sucker Punch!"

Mawile swung at Garchomp and smacked the dragon type. Ashley smirked

"Garchomp, earthquake!"

Garchomp stomped, and pillars of stone shot up from out of the ground

"Jump up and use iron head"

Mawile jumped up with astonishing speed and landed on the top of a rock pillar before propelling herself straight through the shaking stone with an iron head.

"Mawile, smash through the stone pillars and use play rough!" Ashley commanded

Sinnoh-Ash shot back, "Garchomp, strike her!"

Mawile moved at a blinding speed slamming into Garchomp and using her jaw to strike at his ankles. Garchomp fell to the ground in pain, and Mawile did a flip, landing by her trainer awaiting further direction

Sinnoh-Ash grunted in frustration, "Ugh! Time for plan B, Garchomp, let's do this! Mega evolve!"

"Two can play that game, Mawile, let's go beyond and mega evolve!"

Both pokemon were coated in a familiar purple glow, and both broke out of the purple veil in their mega forms.

Ashley spoke first, "Mawile, use swords dance one more time!"

Sinnoh-Ash commanded, "Garchomp, earthquake! End this!"

Garchomp slammed his claws down, and the earth started shaking. The other Ashes felt the tremors in their heads, the stone pillars were as tall as ever.

And yet, Mawile remained calm, nonchalantly glowing aura swords above her head.

Ashley gave her final command with a grin, "Mawile, use Ice Fang!"

Sinnoh-Ash's eyes grew in fear, "Garchomp, end this now with one more earthquake!"

But it was too late, Mawile flew at Garchomp at a blistering pace, and crunched down on Garchomp with an ice fang. Garchomp cried out in pain and collapsed almost instantly from the force of a 4x super effective attack from a Mega-Mawile.

Sinnoh-Ash sighed and recalled his Garchomp. "Great work out there… you battled awesomely, now rest up."

Ashley giggled, "Don't feel bad, your Garchomp put up a better fight than any of the Kanto Elite Four,"

Rocket-Ash started clapping, "Well gentlemen, looks like we've found a worthy ally."

Adult-Ash nodded, "She certainly battles at the level of a champion, that's for sure."

The conversation was cut short when Ashley looked up, and saw a large Flygon landing in the front yard.

"Oh! My boyfriend is home, come on, he'll understand this whole dimension business better than I do."

Adult-Ash asked, "So who exactly is your boyfriend again?"

Ashley smiled, "His name is Goh, he's a famous pokemon researcher and the owner of the most species of pokemon on the planet."

Adult-Ash sighed, "Well at least it's not Gary."

Ashley paused at hearing that name, "Oh he's my ex."

Adult-Ash laughed, "I know Goh from my timeline. He's a good friend. Let me go say hi,"

Goh yelled from the kitchen, "Ash! Do you want to go get some takeout for dinner? I'm starving but figured you'd– oh… hello."

Ashley walked in the kitchen, and squeezed Goh's hand, before taking a seat at the kitchen table.

Alola-Ash waved, "Uhhhh hey"

Sinnoh-Ash, Adult-Ash both gave awkward waves

Rocket-Ash just nodded

"Ash, who are these friends of yours?"

"Ummmm….we're Ash. Like we are all named Ash Ketchum. We're from alternate universes."

Goh shrugged, "Typical Ashley, trouble has a way of finding her. So, you guys care to explain why you're in my house?"

Alola-Ash cleared his throat, "Well…. We're sorta on the run….

A few minutes later

Sinnoh-Ash finished, "And that's why we need your girlfriend's help."

"Well, I'm glad to help," Ashley said with a smile

Goh smiled, "As am I, I'm a huge Ash fan. But forgive me when I say that I have no interest in dating any of her counterparts."

Rocket-Ash looked uncomfortable, "Ummmm yeah we're all good."

Goh kept talking, "Well anyway, speaking of the space-time relationship and time travel, something happened at work you'd be interested in. All of you. Follow me to my office."

Goh walked into his lab and showed the group of Ashes a screen filled with numbers, and on the biggest screen, there was a live video feed of some odd looking spinning orb.

"What's that?" asked Alola-Ash

Goh cleared his throat, "Well, I'm not entirely sure. But when you approach it, time slows down slightly. I was a hundred or so feet away, but just a few seconds near the object lasted almost an hour on the outside. However, the object isn't exactly stable per se, and my readings indicate that it'll lose stability very soon. I'd like you guys to monitor it and ensure no destruction happens to that sensitive ecosystem."

Sinnoh-Ash seemed curious, "Any idea of the cause?"

Goh nodded, "Actually yes, a few weeks ago a mysterious dome appeared over the area, causing pokemon species not native to the region to appear en masse. But we cleaned them up and brought most of them here. However, I'd rather not chase an enraged Lucario across a forest again."

"So you want us to monitor this mysterious time orb?" asked Adult-Ash

Goh nodded, "Consider it a favor. I just need a few hours of your time. Tell ya what, to sweeten the deal I'll even have food ready when you guys get back!"

Sinnoh-Ash nodded, "It's the least we can do for you after we trashed his arena, and food is always nice"

Ashley laughed, "I'll go with you guys, keep everyone out of some trouble in case things go south,"

Alola-Ash smiled, "Awesome! But I'm pretty sure we can all handle ourselves…"

"So, what exactly do we do besides just staring at the orb for a few hours?" Rocket-Ash seemed very bored, and sat down on a log, sighing and tapping his foot impatiently

"Dude, come on! It's really only been ten minutes, have some dang patience. You're fine," Ashley said with an eye roll, while also taking a seat.

Rocket Ash was about to respond, but Alola-Ash interrupted their argument, "Oh! Ashley, I was meaning to ask. Is Mawile your starter? Do you have Pikachu like all of us?"

"Yep, Mawile is my oldest partner. She was a gift from my mom on my tenth birthday because I didn't really want any of the Kanto starters at that age."

"That's cool! That Ash over there and I both have our Pikachu's on us right now, and the adults don't. But we all started with Pikachu!"

Sinnoh-Ash and Alola-Ash's Pikachus were talking and having a competition to see who could create better mocking imitations of pokemon.

Alola-Ash's Pikachu seemed to be winning by a lot. But he was more experienced.

Ashley laughed at their actions, "Well he certainly has a much more social personality than Mawile over here!"

Mawile was tucked behind Ashley's log, unwilling to move.

Ashley smiled, "Yeah, she's shy outside of battle. And her appetite is extraordinary, I've never seen anyone, pokemon or human eat the way she does."

"Wait, I still don't know everyone's entire team, we should show everyone our partners!" Sinnoh-Ash suggested

Alola-Ash was reaching for his belt, when suddenly the orb began to shake and glow.

"Guys, I think we have a situation!" Rocket-Ash barked out

Ashley and Rocket-Ash both stood up

"Great observation, I couldn't tell that myself!" Ashley said sarcastically

Adult-Ash yelled out, "Stay calm and stand your ground, no need to run away!"

Ashley nodded and stood next to Adult-Ash

Rocket-Ash stood between the two younger Ashes and the whole group watched the orb slowly expand into a purple dome.

"Oh sh!t, we need to do something!" Rocket-Ash yelled in worry

"Are we running yet?" Sinnoh-Ash asked in worry

Adult-Ash shook his head, "We couldn't even outrun it if we wanted to! Look at how fast that dome is approaching us! Everyone, find something to hold onto!"

But before anyone could even move, the purple dome expanded and enveloped them. The world began to spin, faster and faster, and then it was suddenly still.

Everything went black.

"Everyone ok?" asked Adult-Ash as he stood up.

"Yeah, just sore," Rocket-Ash said with a groan

Ashley gave a thumbs up, and Sinnoh and Alola Ash stood up with a grunt

"Woah…..guys turn around…" Ashley said

The Ashes turned around and stared in awe. There was a majestic view in front of them, mountains, plains, and trees all in one view.

"I don't think we're in Kanto anymore Pikachu," Sinnoh-Ash said

"Pika…" Alola-Pikachu agreed

Just then, Ash heard a loud rustle in the bushes.

A figure on an odd-looking deer pokemon approached.

"Stop! Who are thee, outsiders!"

"Well, we're all called Ash," Rocket-Ash said sarcastically

The figure seemed pretty annoyed, "You are trespassing on sacred grounds. In the name of the Galaxy team, I place thee under arrest, do not attempt to resist,"

"We're resisting," Rocket-Ash said

When she was about to reach for a weapon, a massive bird pokemon crashed into the Ashes and picked them up with its talons.

A man was on top of the bird.

"Welcome to Hisui strangers, my name is Ashton Ketchum."
