Chapter Ten

Battle (⅔)

While Lily was busy dealing with Todoroki, Mineta was dealing with his fight with Shoji as he was running down the narrow pathway while throwing his balls around the area as he ran, pretending to be scared. Shoji was trying his best to try and capture Mineta. But with the added speed that Lily gave him, it was making it difficult for him to catch him. The moment they reached a med-size room covered in pipes, Mineta quickly scattered his balls all over the room not caring where they landed.

"Got you now!" Shoji said as Mineta quickly backflips away from him trying to grab him. Mineta soon lands onto one of his balls that he scattered around the area they were in and begins darting around like a bullet ricocheting off a metal object. Shoji tried his best to track Mineta's movement but soon felt himself staggering backward from feeling Mineta punch him in the face. He soon looked over to his right before looking over to his left due to hearing the small boy darting behind him.

"You can't beat me, Shoji!" Mineta said before delivering a punch to his stomach as he darted past him. "You fell right into our trap!"

"So you had a strategy before the match even started?" He asked before staggering backward from a punch to his face.

"Lily did! I'm just following her instructions!" He said as he stopped and appeared above him while holding onto one of his balls. "Given my small stature and the boost she gave me, I'm an unstoppable wrecking ball!"

"Not a bad plan, but there's a limit to how long that enhancement quirk lasts on you. The moment it vanishes. I'll be able to catch you!" Shoji said before extending his arm. Upon doing that more arms shot out from each arm he created within the palm of their hands as he tried to grab Mineta. The moment he was close to grabbing him, Mineta released his hold on the ball he was holding and dropped to the ground. The moment he was on the ground, Shoji fired off the same attack again as Mineta jumped to the right.

"Ha! You missed me!"

"Did I?" Shoji asked as Menta noticed him pulling himself over to him. Mineta's eyes widened upon seeing this as he brought his arms up to defend himself. Once Shoji was in striking range, deliver a barrage of punches at him. The grape hero gritted his teeth from the pain he felt in his arms from the barrage of Gatling-like punches before being sent flying backward from the force behind his last punch. Just as he was sent flying backward, he felt himself crashing into one of his balls that he scattered as he was sent flying towards Shoji. Like before, the six-armed man delivered another barrage of punches before sending him flying backward again. "Seems like your plan backfired."

"Don't think this will stop me!" He yelled before feeling himself bouncing around the room against his will. The moment he felt himself being sent flying toward Shoji again, he quickly recovered and blocked a few of Shoji's punches before being pushed back again from the force behind the last punch. Once pushed back, he lands on one of his balls and begins to dart around him like before. Though during this process, he would pick up a metal pipe sticking out of the sidewall. The moment he was about to head towards Shoji, he quickly twisted his body around two of the punches and countered with a strike to Shoji's face. Shoji let out a grunt of pain from the surprise attack, as he looked around to see where he was. His search was met with another hit from the pipe to his shoulder. He lets out another grunt from the hit to his leg as it causes him to kneel.

While Mineta was getting the upper hand on the fight, Lily was in a stalemate with Todoroki. Two small drones would be hovering over and in the area, Mineta and Lily were in as it would be recording the scene of all four students fighting each other. As it was doing that, the teachers of U.A would be staring at the scene in the room they were in to discuss what they were seeing.

"So not only does she have an augmenting quirk, but she can create weapons, shoot lasers, fly, and make stones that can augment other people with strength and healing…Who is Lily Lilac?" Midnight asked as Present Mic spoke up.

"We tried looking up any source of information that we can find, but so far we haven't found anything. It's like she appeared out of nowhere or something."

"I'm more worried about how skilled she is," Cementoss said as he looked over at the video of Lily firing off concentrated beams of magic from her sword. "Children nowadays can't control their quirks. Yet she's different, it's like someone trained her at a young age to be a killer."

"But who would teach a girl like her how to fight like that is the question. Narrowing down the list, she might've been taken by a villain in the underworld to be trained to be an assassin. Or a possible supervillain to say the least." Ectoplasm said before pulling up a video of her taking down Endeavor and Ryukyu. "It's pretty clear she would be counted as an advanced student like Mirio, Tamaki, and Nejire."

"Talk about finding a girl with an amazing quirk, but has the mentality of a killer." Present Mic said as he leaned in his chair but soon turned his attention towards the door as it opened. Entering the room was Aizawa who had a troubled expression on his face. "Welcome back buddy, why the long face?"

"...This girl is dangerous." He said as it caused the teacher to look at him in confusion.

"What do you mean?" Nezu asked.

"I wanted to see if I can cancel the girl's quirk during her fight with Bakugo and Todoroki…I can't cancel her quirk," he said, which took everyone by surprise.

"...What do you mean?"

"It's as I said. I can't cancel her quirk. There are different types of quirks in different categories. There are emitters, transformations, Mutants, and Accumulations. From what we saw in the video we would consider that she was an accumulation/emitter quirk user. But that assumption was thrown out the window when I tried canceling her quirk the first time with her fight with Bakugo. Then I tried again with Iida, but it didn't stop her from activating her quirk."

"So she must be a mutant type with a double quirk?" Midnight asked as Aizawa shook his head.

"Hard to say, we need more information on her before we can get an accurate assessment on what type of a quirk user she is. Worst-case scenario…she might be a new type of human that's immune to anything that can cancel a person's quirk." He said before looking at the screen of Lily. "All I know is that she's a threat to not only the students but hero society as well."

"She'll only be a threat if we treat her as a threat. We have to remember that she's a child, not a monster. Her hope in heroes is gone, which was made clear to us when All Might and I decided to confront her. She had a rough upbringing. If we are going to help her have a brighter future, then we need to try and help her. Not make her feel like she's in a prison of our own making."

"Even if we were to mold her into a hero, she's not going to go along with the course curriculum of U.A.," Cementoss said. "Given what Midnight and Aizawa said about her personality, she might be proven to be a troubled child."

"She just needs time. I just know she'll make a change in this world." Nezu said as Snipe spoke up.

"So for now, we're pretty much gathering information on her?"

"That is the plan," Nezu said as Midnight spoke up.

"I still have my doubts about her." Midnight said with a worried expression on her face. "With my little talk with her, she wasn't sorry for the villains she killed...if anything it was like she took great pleasure in killing them. I hate to see how far she would go if she were to become a licensed hero."

"Not to mention we don't have a means to cancel her quirk. Nothing is more dangerous than a child with no rules to hold them down." Vlad King said as he folded his arms. "What's stopping us from arresting this girl?"

"We don't know what she might have hiding up her sleeves. It's better to see what she has before doing anything." Aizawa said.

"Well, we do have All Might. With the number one hero on our side, there's no way she can escape." Present Mic said as Nezu shook his head.

"If she proves to be a threat, then we'll address it properly. For now, we need to do our part as teachers to help mold the next generation of heroes. If anything were to happen, I will take full responsibility if this plan doesn't work." Nezu said before looking over at the hero staff members. "Are we all in agreement?" he asked as they nodded in unison. "Good, then let us call this meeting to an end."

The fight between heroes and villains had reached the halfway point of the training session. Mineta and Shoji were reaching their limits. Mineta's head bleeding from overusing his quirk and parts of his hero costume were torn up due to getting hit by Shoji punches and being thrown against the metal pipes that didn't have his balls on them. Shoji had bruises on parts of his body, four of his arms were dislocated, and his right eye was swollen.

"If you don't mind me asking," Shoji said as he straightened himself up. "From what I've seen during the entrance exam along with other training courses like this, you always make up an excuse or run away in fear. What's with the sudden change in wanting to stand your ground?"

"I…made a friend." He said with a slight blush on his face which took Shoji by surprise. "At least I think she's my friend. She seems to have a lot of expectations and hope in me for being a better person. So I don't want to let her down."

"And by a friend, you mean Lily?" he asked as Mineta nodded. "I'm a bit surprised that you would make friends with her."

"What can I say? I'm full of surprises." Mineta said before pulling himself up with the help of the metal pipe he was using. "I think it's about time that we ended this?"

"Yeah, I can agree with you on that," Shoji said as he pulled himself up while relocating his broken arms back in place. The moment he finished, Mineta quickly rushed towards Shoji in an attempt to strike him in the face. Once within striking range, Shoji began to deliver a barrage of punches to Mineta who in turn dodged most of them but felt some of them either graze. Mineta quickly backed away from his assault as he tossed the pipe he was holding at Shoji. Shoji quickly dodges to the right to avoid the pipe as he quickly counters with a haymaker after lunging himself towards Mineta. The moment he made contact with Mineta, he sent the boy flying backward and caused him to crash into a pile of his sticky balls that lost their adhesive strength. "You lost Mineta. Give up now and I won't-"

Before Shoji could finish his sentence, he felt something hit him on the back of his head. The force behind the hit caused him to stagger forwards a bit as he soon fell onto his hands and knees. He heard a high-pitched ringing in his ears along with a muffled metal thud beside him. Looking over to his right, he saw the metal pipe that Mineta threw on the ground next to him. Putting two and two together, He figured that Mineta used the balls that lost their adhesive strength to ricochet the pipe off the balls and hit him from behind. Needless to say, it was a clever move on his part. Just as Shoji was about to pull himself up, he soon felt Mineta grab two of his hands and quickly used the capturing take to restrain him.

"Haha…Got you!" Mineta yelled as he and Shoji heard All Might's voice.

"Shoji has been captured by Mineta! Good job!" He said as Mineta soon collapsed onto the floor of the area he was in while panting.

"Congratulations, Mineta," Shoji said as he looked over at Mineta as he noticed the glow around his body starting to flicker on and off. "S-Seems like that boost Lily gave you is about to wear off?"

"Yeah…" He said before staggering back to his feet. "Better not keep her waiting."

"You can still move, even after the damage you received?"

"It's…a bit hard for me to move, but I have to help Lily," he answered while staggering a bit. "Can't let her fight all by herself…plus it would make me look cool in front of her if I appear to save her." He said before slowly picking up the same metal pipe as before and staggered his way to where Lily and Todoroki were located. As he was leaving, hidden from anyone's field of vision and from any form of camera that was watching. A young woman with round blue eyes and long white hair, with the bottom of her hair attached to a large circular ornament. She wears a long black dress with a blue tip at the bottom, a silver necklace, and a pair of sandals. The moan looked over at Shoji for a moment before looking over at Mineta staggering to keep himself standing. After a good few seconds, she quickly began to follow after him while keeping herself hidden and a good distance as she observed him.
